Storms bring people together!
It was a rather confusing day. Kit found himself in Xing, at least several hundreds of miles away from his intended destination. He must've fallen asleep on the train and no one had bothered to wake the feline man to tell him his stop had come up, though he doubted no one knew. It was noon, though the sun was blocked by extremely dark clouds, and throughout the day, he waited for 1 raindrop, a clap of thunder, a lightning strike, anything to signal when to find cover, and it never came. He had made quite a bit of change, enough for a fast food dinner at least, thanks to his musical talent and a full violin case. He had not a clue of any Xingese, but when one sees a man playing music on the street with an open case near his feet, they defiantly know he's in need of some money. He had already bought his bounty, a large fries and a chicken sandwich wrapped in foil in a great, greasy paper sack, his lips around a straw sucking down root beer.
He was taking a rather blissful stroll through a nearby park, food in hand, when he noticed a park bench. It looked new and sturdy, so he decided, or more-so his tired feet decided, to take up the bench, laying down and staring at the sky, taking bites from his chicken sandwich, which was rather succulent and juicy, though he was sure to make note to do some exercise. He only finished half of it before he put it back in the bag, saving it for later when indeed he would need it if he didn't get any more money. He placed his hands together, weaving his fingers together in preparations for a small 'cat nap' when a raindrop hit his alabaster skin dead center of his eyes. He's ears twitched a bit as he sat up, staring at the sky as more rain falls, his serpentine eyes relaxed, but he jumps as a huge thunderclap peels through the park, making his tail stand on end.
"Jesus, that was loud!" He yelled , sighing a bit. Days like this reminded him of the rainy days back home, late at night when he was absolutely terrified of thunder and would sing to him. Those days were far gone, but the memory of the lullaby she sang still ringed in his mind as he began to sang it as well, thunder scattered throughout the song, lightning lighting his face brightly.

Re: Storms bring people together!
The day was slow and quiet. It had started as such, though the aching feelings in joints made it known it would rain. A sun so happy overhead was soon crowded by dark clouds that bullied him until he vanished. Nothing was left of him, but a glowing array of a circle that had once been where the sun was shining. Had it become night time? She was unsure.. her hands moved swiftly to her hoodie. A rain was easy to defend against. The bunny ears dropped at either side of her head and the black cover kept her lilac locks safe from the cruelty of the oncoming wet pellets from the sky. It was always more cold than it was painful. The droplets she felt on her nose were nothing more than shockingly cold drips from the sky. It was all fine on her way home until-
CRASH! The noise created paled Lian to a color close to sheet white. Her body frozen and eyes wider than saucers in her face. She couldn't move until- CRASH! There was the second one. Her whole being jumped nearly ten feet in the air. She screamed in surprise and lunged towards the nearest hiding spot. Fetal position, knees to her stomach as she crouched beneath a bench. Her whole body trembled beneath the wooden boards as she tried to control the overflowing fear on her. Her hands clamped over her ears and pressed the black fabric of her hood hard to them. Block out the noise.. Her attempts were fruitful for now, though no thunder had struck again.
Whimpering and terrified, she simply remained. A useless ball beneath a park bench. No one noticed her existence as she whimpered a song to herself. It was pathetic, she knew it, but the sound, the thunder would come again. It was worse, waiting on it than it happening sometimes. The rapid beats then the sudden change to a long break in between. It was hearing whiplash and once her ears had stopped ringing, she could feel her hair stand on end. Lightning soon to stroke.

He swore he felt something move underneath him, but it was probably just the sound waves shaking the ground. The thunder was really close and rather loud, which made his feline hearing, however precise, was incredibly sensitive and he folded his ears down against his skull, muffling them with his hair. Not as effective as a pair of earplugs, though it did bring some comfort. Then, something twitched at his ear. Not as bass as a thunderclap, but dulcet and...was that whimpering? He couldn't bear not knowing if there was someone around that needed help, so he sat up in a swoop, flowing his legs to the floor, leather clad feet skidding against the grass. His hands clasped the edge of the bench as he scanned the area, his serpentine eyes flashing to various spots in rapid succession for a quick rundown.
No one. He saw no one around, except for some way out of range. The sound felt so close to be anyone he could see, so where had it come from. Maybe they had taken refuge some...where. The thought slowly dawned on him. The movement, the closeness of the sound...someone was under his bench. Whoever it was must've been small, perhaps a child or a small person, but the whimpers came at the pitch of...a woman's voice. A woman! His face paled with concern as he bend at his waist, swinging his head down past the line of the bench. And indeed it was a woman, lying against a ceiling of grass. Lilac locks of hair, a black hoodie with...bunny ears? How quaint, he though, smiling in his warm way.
He tapped her shoulder lightly, as to not scare her, though hard enough to know he was there. His soothing voice bounced in the small face, a tiny echo of his voice resonating against the mahogany bench. He spoke in Amestrian, as was a common for most people to know, though he had not a clue as to if she could understand him as he spoke to her, or her back rather as she was turned away.
"Excuse me, miss? Are you ok? Is there anything I can help you with?"

Re: Storms bring people together!
Crash! Thunder burned her ears and made the small girl whimper. That painful thunder that terrified her! She closed her eyes tightly then whimpered. Where was she even? She just didn't know. The first cover she could find had her hiding like a terrified child she was. Sob, sob. Her voice trembled while she remained beneath the bench. Her eyes closed tightly in hopes to make it go away. Grimacing and hiding would keep her safe from thunder.. right? It couldn't find her if she was hiding. A voice, broke out into her head and Lian rose her head. Who was talking? The touch of a hand made her jump out of her skin, shouting in surprise.
"Excuse me, miss? Are you ok? Is there anything I can help you with?"
E-eh? Her teary eyes rose up to his. Purple-blue eyes trembled in the pouring rain while panic shone through as bright as a flashlight. The young woman quivered and shook, nearly on the verge of exploding from fear. "M-Make it go away!" She managed through her whimpers. The mass of her body curled tighter and she buried her face in her knees. More crying, more sobbing. More thunder, more jumping. It seemed this storm had it out to get her. It wouldn't leave her alone! Clear rivers mingled with the dripping water from heavens and the young lass tried hard to swallow the lump that despair in her throat. She couldn't think or even see, as she wept beneath the bench. How would any man help rain go away? It was an impossibility, but phobia bi-passes fear all the time, leaving people in a shell of their former selves. Lian was no excuse, when it came to fear. No one was immune to it, everyone feared something.
