Gray Fenrir's Alchemy
...........................................................................
CASE FILE: Transmutation Equipment
Gray Alexander Fenrir
...........................................................................
→ Phantom
TYPE:
→ Alchemy: Basic ~ Phasing
LEVEL:
→ Level one.
FORM:
→ The phantom transmutation circle is a modified deconstruction circle. Gray has phantom transmutation circles engraved in a long spiral around both his sword’s blades. And also he has it engraved on his left automail, on top of his metal fist.
...........................................................................
BRIEFING:
→ The phantom transmutation circle has three points and a number of alternating symbols. At the center of the circle is a six pointed star with an eye at its own center. Within the alchemy seal are the words ‘indivisible,’ intangible,’ and ‘small’ written in latin. At it’s core the phantasm, or phasing, alchemy works much like a normal deconstruction circle. However instead of completely deconstructing the elements of whatever is being transmuted on, the elements are only partly separated from one another and only for a short period of time. At the end of the reaction the object being transmuted on returns back to its prior state. During the transmutation process the material becomes intangible, allowing for other objects to pass through it without any damage being done. Hence the name phantasm alchemy or phasing alchemy. Essentially the item being transmuted becomes ghost-like for up to three seconds as its elements and molecules are momentarily uncoupled. It only works on objects of simple and solid composition. And at Gray's level he can only phase metal.
Phantasm alchemy itself is purely defensive. Effective only as a means to escape through walls or the opposite, to break into places through walls. But when used on an offensive weapon such as a sword the alchemy becomes much more dangerous, allowing the blade to phase through any defense. Exceptional skill with phantasm alchemy gives Gray's swordsmanship an entire other dimension, allowing him to bypass his enemies’ guard and hone in for the kill. Of course it’s strength also comes with an equal drawback, being that his own guard is also rendered useless when performing the phantasm alchemy.
Gray understands the basic physics underlying all micro-particles. Everything is made up of the same small number of tiny building blocks regardless of their material makeup when one looks close enough. Because of this Gray is able to apply his phantasm alchemy to just about anything. And since he isn't actually changing anything about the objects he transmutes on he doesn't have to know anything extra about what he's working on or trying to make unlike with traditional alchemy. Gray does have an outstanding knowledge of the fundamentals of alchemy, but this type doesn't require the same pool of knowledge. He instead has to only focus on the smallest building blocks and cause them to uncouple momentarily. And since it is on such a small scale he works on it takes a bit of concentration to do so, limiting him to solid metals.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
→ Phasing. Gray can cause objects to become intangible momentarily, allowing anything to travel through it. Gray uses this ability to travel through walls, floors, roofs, or anything else that might stand in his way. He also uses this ability on his twin sabers. He phases out the blade of the sword so that it may travel through a block or a shield. He then lets it quickly reform back to solidarity, hopefully landing a decisive blow. In most instances it is a bypass measure. Additionally if he so chooses, Gray can re-solidify an object while it is overlapped with another object. In that case the phased object reforms in the middle of whatever is currently occupying the same space. For example if a wall unphased while Gray was walking through it, it would kill him as the wall would reform inside him, both crushing and pushing his body apart. If one of his blades reforms inside a person it would be the same as if they had been stabbed. The blade would reform inside the person's tissue possibly separating important connections. Though in most cases Gray doesn't unphase his swords while they are inside someone, unless the have body armor on. Even then, usually his blades can cut through on their own without the aid of alchemy. The phasing and unphasing is simply used to pass through shields or other swords. Usually the blade is already reformed by the time it comes into contact with another person.
The phasing reaction begins almost instantly, while at most Gray can only phase an object for three seconds. Otherwise he can shorten the phase time of an object by limiting its energy and alchemic reaction, down to a half second. Gray's alchemy only has a range of five feet from the original circle.

REVISE
First off this is an amazing and as far as i know original idea on MDA and personally i love it! But there are a few things we should address.
1) First we need to address what material he can phase through at first level, later on you can add more to this ability but for right now you have to choose a single substance such as wood, stone, or metal. This is because your only allowed one process at first level and would otherwise be unfair.
2) How long does it take to phase through an object? How long does the alchemy take to take effect?
These are what we need to address right now, after this has been fixed ill give it another read through ^^ But it seems to be in order otherwise.

Revised!
The phasing begins as soon as he begins the alchemic reaction. I gave the phasing a three second limit and a half second minimal time. And now it only effects metal.

REVISE
Sorry it seems that i missed two thing.
1) Please give me a range on this ability. If its to large ill tell you.
2) So what happens when a sword forms inside of someone? Or is he not able to do that? I need a slightly better understanding of its combat uses if it has any at this point.

Re: Gray Fenrir's Alchemy
Revised again!
I tried to make a more clear explanation as to what happens when something is unphased inside someone. For instance if my blade reformed inside some ones stomach it would just the same as if they were stabbed.
I also added a range.
Hopefully its all good!
