Chill....That was the word to describe this city, once a place so full of life and laughter, central city now seemed to be a place of shadowed worry, the people barely living as the threat of war loomed on the horizon. Shifty eyes darted back and forth looking over the strangers that walked in there midst, and anyone that stood out in this bland place might as well have been a stranger to it.

This is how bronze saw it at least, a place full of people who didn't know they where dead, it brought tears to the mans eyes as he walked through once friendly neighborhoods, and talked to people who but a year ago had been his friends...Has it really been that long?.... He honestly couldn't remember, he vaguely recalled a party...fallowed closely by a police chase..but most of the details where lost in a drug induced haze.... If it was important...id remember..... Nodding he continues on his meandering journey through the city,no destination in mind.

He wondered what people thought of him here, what they saw as he walked by and managed to catch there eye....Did they see a handsome man or a vagabond? A cheat and a liar? And outsider maybe? Or worse yet a wolf come to gobble them all up? He honestly couldn't say anymore, once he knew these people....but now... Its like i never really new them at all.. With a sigh he continued his trudge, head held high, his odd color full eyes smiling at who ever he looked at, trying desperately to make contact with some one...truly alive and full of light.

Voices in the Light Empty Re: Voices in the Light

Belovan was running as fast as he could with his guitar in one hand and lyrics written down on crumpled up papers in the other. He was dodging everybody that he had come across being very careful of his surroundings.

He was thinking to himself: "God damn it! Why did it have to be so cold out today? I'm going to freeze my ass off if I don't get home soon." While his mind began to wonder, he stopped paying as close attention to where he was going. He nearly ran into some old woman, so she turned around and shouted something he didn't care to hear. Almost instantly after that incident, he ran right into a man who appeared to be lost in thought.

Belovan fell over, dropping all of his papers and his guitar. He also did a face-plant onto the cement. In pure rage he glared up at the man (Bronze).

"What the fuck is your problem asshole? Why didn't you move out of my damn way?" Belovan didn't think that the man would understand him if he spoke Cretan. He didn't want him to understand because he was afraid of getting hurt, yet he still needed to release his anger somehow.

Unexpected was the word to describe this situation, he was walking along minding his own business when out of the blue comes a rather energetic young man who proceeded to cuss him out in the most generic way...It was THAT that made him angry....if your going to cuss some one out you might as well do it with style!"First off That's Mister Asshole make sure you get it right next time kid! And When you flatten yourself against some one...make sure you stun them with your insults or less generous people may beat your ass, shit like you where just throwing around just isn't gonna cut it around here!"

AS sudden as the anger came it left and his smile almost split his head in two. The kids a musician by the looks of it... He thought as he glanced over the fallen individual and his belongings that lay scattered around him. With a laugh he bent to help the younger man up."My names actually Marcus, but my friends call me Bronze" He winks as he pulls him to his feet and pats him on the shoulder"Need some help gathering your things?"

He remembered being as young as this guy, not wanting peoples help, defiant and some would say rebellious....But he knew a good person when he saw one and he liked making friends with good people.

Belovan shoved the Bronze's hand off of his shoulder. He spit on the ground and looked the man dead in the eye. "Thanks for the advice pops, but I think I'll do fine with my insults. Now, I wouldn't mind if you picked up my papers considering you're the one who made me drop them in the first place" There was a bitter tone in his voice.

Belovan was thinking as he started to pick up his things. "This guy knows Cretan..? Maybe he is from Creta... He might be able to help me get over there!" Belovan looked over to the man helping him pick up his things excitedly. "Are you from Creta? How do you know Cretan?"

Belovan's mind started to race with the thoughts of finally going to Creta and starting his dream to help heal the world. He thought about whether he would start a band or go solo and how he would go about getting a record deal. He looked at Bronze with hope showing in his orange and yellow eyes.

Bronze takes a step back and crosses his arms no longer helping, his eyes locking on the kids before him. He listened to the kids tirade not loosing that amused glimmer."You have one fucked up way of asking of questions kid" What an attitude he had!! What anger! What.....hope? Well hes got spunk that's for sure.... He glances at the spit mark and is grin get a little wider.Maybe to much spunk...

"But because im such a nice guy ill answer ya, im not from Creta, and i know Cretan because i do alot of...ummm business there." IT wasn't exactly a lie, but it wasn't the truth ether but he didn't need to know that."Whats it to you?" He was interested in knowing what made him so hopeful when he found out he spoke his language...it intrigued him to no ends.

Voices in the Light Empty Re: Voices in the Light

The day was rather dull and boring as usual, it had been almost a month since Grimm had actually been in Central. There streets were the same, busy packed with people attempting to go from here to there in a zombie like trance. There use to be so much laughter in the grand city, but now it was cold and heartless. Thing were grey and dull, which made Grimm stand out even more than usual. His hands were cold, numb from the harsh winter that had passed, but now that spring was approaching the warmth was beginning to dry his skin.

The man with the skull cheek bone was heading to the market to grab a couple things he needed to get by this week, he needed all the rest he could get before this massive search for Celes took place. He usually ignored most people on his way to and from the market, but he couldn't help but over hear two men that seemed to be rather rude to one another.

"You have one fucked up way of asking of questions kid" The one man said to the other, before going on and rattling about something. Grimm sighs and was just about to leave, but then it hit him. Both men knew Cretan, which was kind of rare around these parts. He folds his newspaper up and leans against a light pole, pulling out a cigarette and sticking it between his teeth. Well, this was going to be entertainment for the day at least.

(I figure I'd join this. I hope you don't mind! -Vanity)

Belovan looked up at Bronze and said, "I need to go to Creta and I was thinking maybe someone who knew the country better than I did or who was actually born and raised there could help me." Belovan finished picking up all of his papers and his guitar and looked Bronze straight in the eye. "This may sound crazy... But I am going to become the most well known and listened to musician and try to stop all of the violence in this world with words of peace and love!" Belovan was just a young boy. He didn't understand how complicated the world around him was, but he had great intentions.

Belovan also noticed a man who just started smoking a cigarette and appeared to be observing the discussion that he and Bronze were having. "Hey, got an extra cigarette? I haven't had a smoke all day."

What the hell was this boy thinking? He wanted to save the world with loving words and music...Could he be real? Ohh he had to laugh, it was all so precious. Luckily for him and this kids dignity he didn't. Instead he just blinked nodded his head and considered how he could manage to get this one to creta...DAH FUCK? He did a double take....He honestly had to keep those good guy impulses down..Not only where they getting expensive and time consuming but they might actually do more harm then good.

But he had been in the young mans shoes before, thirsting to make a difference in the world....or something like that, when he was this kids age his one motivation in life had been to get laid, and well he spent most of his energy on that particular endeavor. So may this kid had loftier goals....How interesting.

He reached over and patted the kids shoulder"Ahh well at least you dream big kid...but maybe you should focus on more realistic goals, like getting a job once you manage to get to Creta ehh?" Hell that was probably the best advice he could have given, dont shoot for the stars, go for something doable, ya live a life of fucking meterocracy! Ohh god....he sounded just like his grandparents!! And who the fuck was that grinning skull faced jackass watching them?

Who did this guy think he was telling Belovan to get a job? He could make everything he needed off of his music. The first goal he needed to accomplish was getting to Creta. He would figure things out from there... Hopefully. He cringed at the thought of failure once he hit Creta. He couldn't stand that even if he put all that effort in he would still end up face-down in a pool of failure.

"Are you saying that my music isn't good enough? You make your judgments too swiftly man, that's whats wrong with the world today..."
Belovan trailed off. It saddened him that even a complete stranger who had never heard his music thought he wouldn't make his dream a reality. "You know what... I'll show you that I can do it! I don't need a job, a home, or even food! I can become the world's most well known musician and I will make an influence in this world!" Belovan grinned and said, "So, will you take me there or do I have to go all alone?"
