Odd Meeting Empty Odd Meeting

Post by Jay Furor Wed Feb 23, 2011 10:34 pm

Jay said goodbye to Darky as she left his workshop, new automail oil and a bag of canteloupe in hand. She cheerily walked toward Kanama, but then figured it would be better to make a stop at a hotel, maybe check in for a bit. So she headed, instead, for the Happiness Inn nearby. She checked in and headed to the elevator to go up to her room. She opened the door, and set out her belongings on the bed and bedside table. Then she headed out again, to a buffet place next door.
She went in and ordered a table. But, apparently, the place was full, so she was sent to sit with someone else there. She didn't mind, really, but wondered who she would be sharing a table with. So she got her food first, a few steaks and the bag of canteloupe she brought in with her. She really didn't know why she had been given the fruit, but figured she should eat it. Finally, she walked to the table and sat down by a girl already sitting there. "Mind if I eat here?" She smiled lightly, as she placed the canteloupe and steak down in front of her, and looked to the girl she would be eating with.

Úna had been sitting contently by herself at a table near the back of the dining area, nice and close to the buffet table. The voracious homunculus had lucked on when Meno had lent her money to go enjoy a nice hot meal. Úna had no clue as to what the worth of money was, all she knew was that when she walked into the restaraunt and handed the person at the reception desk her money, they'd let her eat there without kicking her out. They even gave her some of her money back! Úna didn't bother to question how the world of currency worked, as long as she had food in her belly then she was as blissful as could be.

Gluttony was not even halfway into her fourth plate of fried potato skins when a person who's scent she did not recognize approached the table and sat down. Úna stared at her curiously as she nibbled on the potato skin in her hand. She was pretty, but Úna knew nothing about taking a person's looks into account for anything. But her smell....she took in the sweet aroma of fruit that emitted from the girl's bag. It smelt so delicious, Úna's thoughts were so focused on the fruit the blond haired lass had, that she didn't pay any attention to her question, and instead she posed one of her own. "I..umm...your food smells so sweet....c-could I have..." She left her question unfinished as she struggled to use her words, something that she was not so used to.

Jay was a bit taken aback by the randomness of the question, but the girl looked innocent and kind of pitiful in a way. So Jay smiled and passed her the fruit. She would probably not need them anyways, as since she had rejoined the military, she was making a steady salary, and could afford food. "Here, you can have them. I honestly don't know why I even brought them." Jay started ravenously eating her steak, finishing her first 16 ouncer in about a few minutes. She then decided to start up a conversation to pass the time. "So, my name's Jay. What's yours?" She smiled as brightly as she ever could. It wasn't really easy for Jay to smile so often, since she wasn't quite used to the constant smiling yet. As she waited for a response, she started in on her second steak. She watched the other girl carefully, trying to figure out her personality, as she ate her meal. She seemed a bit childish, and really hungry apparently. Jay remembered someone else like that, but had forgotten his name. But he did remind her of this girl in front of her... She decided to try to remember his name later. In the meantime, she would enjoy her meal.
