Silvac tumbled down a dune and crashed to a halt at the bottom, he had been wandering for days and had not the energy to continue unless he found shelter. He had been lucky enough a few days ago to find an oasis but at the moment he wasn't able to stay in one place. He tried to stand but his legs were steadily growing weaker and if he didn't find some water soon he was a goner in this Desert sea. His cloak was suddenly ripped off of his shoulders and blown up a dune; Silvac was powerless to stop it but he was able to slowly track after the thing once his head had stopped spinning. It danced off the dune top and then floated out of Silvac's view... and possibly out of Silvac dwindling life. He slowly climbed up the dune pulling himself up more than crawling or walking. He paused about halfway to gain his breath and then continued making sure that his tail helped push him instead of cupping the sand under it. Silvac's hand suddenly met air and a bit of wind so Silvac knew that he probably was at the top of the last dune he would ever see. When he pushed his head above the dune he got maybe five seconds of viewing what looked like more dunes before his cloak blasted into his face and obscured his vision.

Silvac growled and pulled the cloak off of his head before tying it a few times securely on both his neck and then a bit onto his tattered jacket. After a few minutes of catching his breath Silvac looked at what he thought were dunes at first... And did a double take. It was a city, not just any city probably one of the only ones around for miles! He almost grinned in joy when he noticed something strange. He slowly went down the side of the dune noting the fact that the fence that was in between him and the city was rusted and well worn from the wind. Silvac touched a part of the fence and blinked a few times as it simply turned to dust at his touch. He literally was able to walk through the fence which was surprising as much as it was worrying. He was now in a playground... back like the one near the library that his father had worked at.

The Swings were the first item he passed, they were lying on the ground and the ones that were not on the ground were hanging.... doing so by single chains. The slides were twisted frames of metal next to a spinner and some horses that looked very worn. Everything had that look of being incredibly worn by the sands here. Silvac's feet started to echo on concrete after a few moments before returning to the pish posh of sand. The buildings carried silvac's footsteps for a few moments giving everything a creepy touch. Silvac paused when he though he saw tire tracks in the sand; they were incredibly deep which meant there must of been more than one vehicle in this area. Not a moment later a car rounded the corner causing Silvac to do a double take.

The men in the car shouted in some odd language, Silvac recognized it as Amestrian a language he couldn't speak. His mother had told him when he was younger that Amestrian wasn't a largely spoken language so she didn't teach it to him. The car sped up and blasted some sand in the back portion of it; instead of moving out of the way Silvac stood there letting his cloak billow around his large form so that they would get closer and he could have a look at them. Each man was carrying a sword by the looks of it, the two that weren't driving were whooping and waving their swords as the car started to pick up speed. Silvac dashed to the side with energy he didn't know he had and grabbed one of the men out of the car by snatching his arm... and pulling as hard as he could. Frankly the guy didn't weigh as much as silvac thought he did and he threw him into the wall of the nearist building with a heavy cracking sound. The sword of the man landed simply in the sand; Silvac would of picked it up if he didn't hear the car make a sudden spin to try to turn around again. Silvac turned about and saw that the both of them had exited the car and were sporting a sword in one hand so that their other was free to do whatever.

The first man dashed in and swung at Silvac hoping to catch him off guard; Silvac caught the man's swing by the wrist and then proceeded to break his wrist but snapping it suddenly back. The man let out a squeal of pain that turned into a gurgle as Silvac punched the man's throat crushing his Adams apple and making the man fall to the ground caught between the pain of two wounds. Silvac noticed that the other man had stayed back to draw his pistol and was calmly aiming at him. The man grinned and pulled the trigger.... the gun made the clicking sound. Either he hadn't reloaded or the gun wasn't in a good enough condition to fire. Silvac walked calmly towards the man who was desperately trying to shoot Silvac with the gun. He threw it at the chimerae hoping to catch him off guard. The gun merely bounced off of Silvac's chest and let the chimerae know for the most part when to dash in.

Silvac wrapped both of his hands around the man's neck and started to squeeze. He slowly lifted him in the air and continued to apply pressure. The man tried to swing his sword at Silvac but his tail wrapped around the offending appendage rendering the swipe useless. He continued to apply pressure until he heard a crack and the man stopped struggling in the large chimerae's hands. He dropped the man onto the ground and turned to go the car to see what they may have in it. He pulled the door open and looked on the inside. They had a few canteens of half filled water and a large jug of the liquid in the back. They also had a few packs of food thankfully; while Silvac didn't know how to drive he certainly knew that he had been saved just by the supplies here. Silvac started to top all the canteens so that he could maybe have a impromptu bandoleer of them. He finished topping off the last canteen and was just securing it under his cloak next to the other four when a badly placed shot hit the top of the car and made Silvac wince at the sound it made.

Silvac glanced behind him to see the man that he had initially thrown at the wall standing with his friends fire arm. Apparently he reloaded it or something; regardless it was an annoyance having someone use such a pitiful excuse of an item thinking they could hurt him. The man was speaking in Amestrian again but Silvac could tell he was trying to reason with Silvac, it was in his voice he knew he was dead but he was going to try anyways. Silvac gauged the distance... it had to be about fifteen twenty feet; it was too far to dash but... it was within throwing distance. Silvac let out a small breath and with a grunt that spoke volumes of how tired he was ripped the car door off... and threw it at the man. He didn't have time to react as the car door slammed his firearm out of his hand and sank into his chest possibly caving in his ribcage. The man was wheezing when Silvac got to him, he was trying to speak but Silvac simply stomped on the man's head a few times caving it in and ending his sad excuse for a life. The large chimerae searched each of the men's bodies, the one that he had killed with the stomp had a ring and a picture of a women in his pocket. The Chimerae sighed, so he had been married had he? The chimerae pocketed both ring and picture. If he ever came across the women he would give it to her and hopefully be able to apologize to her.

Silvac trotted back to the car so he could pick out the rations he wanted, most of them were just packaged stuff but he was once again blessed with the luck to find some meat. Silvac paused and glanced at the bodies; he was hungry and this food would get him far for a while... But he was certain he could take a different avenue in order to ensure his survival. Dragging one of the two less maimed bodies off to the side Silvac set upon what could be considered cannibalism if he was still fully human....

'No matter how far away one travels, it is inevitable that some day they shall return home.' Xanthus Icarus thought these words to himself as he wandered within the ruins of Xerxes. In life, the city-state had been considered the pinnacle of human civilization. The nation had been relatively peaceful, a thriving land despite the harsh conditions of the desert that surrounded it. It had emphasized philosophical and alchemical studies, and was at the time perhaps one of the more intellectual states of the world. Even its condoning of the barbaric concept of slavery was offset by the fact that with will and diligence a slave could become a member of high society. Truly the loss of Xerxes was a tragedy of the highest caliber. However without that loss, and the events proceeding said event, Xanthus himself would not have been walking around within these particular ruins; in a sense he was grateful for the tragedy that had claimed so many, because in the end without the events that had transpired afterwards, he would never have become who he was now.

Even almost a year after having become the most powerful Homunculus, Xanthus still found himself easily amazed and amused at how differently he viewed life now that he was in a sense immortal. Without death to consume excess time, he was free to devote much more time to casually thinking about random things; the history of Xerxes included. Without having to focus on eating, drinking, sleeping, or any other bodily need, he found himself able to do things with frightening ease that would otherwise be considered slightly difficult. Crossing the Great Desert to get to the Xerxes Ruins on foot, alone, and with minimal supplies as he was now would normally be considered a survivalist skill. To Xan however, it was as simple as beginning and ending the walking process. When he had entered into the city proper, he had not even been sweating despite having walked constantly from his starting point.

Having finally reached the capital city, Xanthus had rather easily bypassed the ruined gate and had ventured into the location of the most massive genocide to have ever occurred in history. As he looked around, the Homunculus could not help but imagine what living in such a place must have been like. As he wandered, the Homunculus could almost imagine that he heard the sounds of life echoing about within the hallowed depths of...with a start the Ishvallan realized that his imagination was not in fact letting him hear the sounds of life. Rather his sense of hearing was letting him hear the sounds of motor vehicles not far away from his own position. With something of an annoyed sigh, Icarus checked once again on his chosen weaponry; two blades that seemed to be made of obsidian were attached to his back, with two more of the same being held at his waist. He had neglected to bring either of his pistols, or anything heavier in armament than his swords. Not that he required even those, but still...

Without further ado, Pride disappeared into the former capital city's depths, seeking the source of the sounds...

Sometime later, Xanthus found himself sitting down on top of a building while beneath him a battle raged between a small group of sword-wielders and what looked to be a rather large chimera. The Homunculus resisted the urge to chuckle as he watched each human get taken down in turn in a show of primal fury. Xanthus had climbed to the top of the building in order to get a good look around the ruins for his prey, but had been rather surprised to see his prey becoming someone else's. In fact, with his head cocked to the side, the Homunculus witnessed for a little while the predator following a rather simple primal law: You keep what you kill. In this case of course, the predator was 'keeping' not only the men's belongings, but was apparently using their very mortal forms for his sustenance. With a smile, Xanthus thought to himself that he knew what that felt like with a clarity that was near unmatched. Deciding to make contact with the figure, the Homunculus sent a shadow-tendril down to the figure. The living darkness snaked down the side of the building to merge with its shadow on the ground and assimilate it before moving itself to within a good speaking distance, which for Pride meant basically anywhere nearby. As he was rather unsure of what language the chimera spoke, Xanthus tried the first one that came to mind; his native tongue of Ishvallan.

"Charming work with those sword-wielding loud ones. You my friend may well have just saved me about ten seconds worth of wasting valuable time that could have been spent in quiet meditation. For this I thank you." The shadow spoke from the ground with a voice tinged with an iron sound while Xanthus himself watched with shaded eyes from above on the building's roof. Frankly he was unsure of how the chimera would react to hearing a strange voice out of seemingly nowhere, or how he would react to a man covered basically in loose fitting dark cloth being right above him...frankly he figured that the reaction would be worth watching either way.

The sand sea only forgives once(Open) Empty Re: The sand sea only forgives once(Open)

Post by Silvac Fri Sep 21, 2012 10:19 am

Silvac broke off one of the human's limbs and sat back taking a silent meal, he wanted to keep his sense open as much as possible since he wasn't sure if there was more of them. If there was they wouldn't take kindly to him going about eating their friends. His eyes wandered the buildings for a few moments taking in what his surroundings really were like. He felt his stomach give a growl of anger as he had stopped munching for a few moments. The chimerae snorted gently and proceeded to continue his grisly meal. If only he didn't have to do this to survive he would of buried the bodies with the swords at their heads. Silvac glanced at the swords that he had picked up from the three, they had other weapons but these were more notable than their firearms. The chimerae used one of the blades to carve the bodies apart while he ate, the other two were stabbed into the ground near him. While this was a rather wretched scene it was only proper in his mind and why would it be any different? He had survived on scenes like this since his creation and he would continue to survive regardless of what came his way.

It was then that he smelt something, he heard something too but that was far off. The chimerae crunched one of the arms and whirled when he finnally realized it was a voice that he didn't understand. He also smelled something that he wish he didn't have to, it reminded him of that light... and something else that rather made Silvac cringe. It had no scent in fact it was like something didn't have a scent even at the core of their being. Something else also was around something darker but he couldn't read that at all and it worried him even more. The chimerae sneezed and glared around; guessing that he was probably being watched or he was lucky enough to have a walkie talkie near this location. He double checked the bodies and didn't find anything. That scent was giving silvac a headache now... he crunched down through what he was eating and then then took one of the other swords in his other hand. Picking up the third sword in his tail he had a prime throwing ability because his tail was so strong. The chimerae's voice cracked a few times while he talked making him stutter a bit. It wasn't out of fear but out of continual under-use of his vocal cords.

I... do not... understand....

The chimerae glanced around trying to pinpoint where this person was; his ears were flattened against the back of his head. When he finnally spotted the person crouching and staring towards him silvac relaxed. IF they wanted to attack him they would of already; however this didn't mean that he was going to trust this guy quite yet. Silvac planted two of the three swords in the ground leaving the one within the grasp of his tail just in case. He stood calmly and inspected this human like creature that seemingly had no beef against him. If he had he would of attacked him very quickly and without thought just as it should be in the heat of battle. The chimerae decided to remain silent now wondering what the next step may be....

From his high vantage point Xanthus had an aerial view of everything that the chimera did, from the killings that he had witnessed, to the primal feast that he was currently watching. For most people the situation unfolding before them would have been disgusting; in fact Xanthus knew that some people would probably have regurgitated their lunches by this point. However Xanthus merely sat back and watched as the chimera did what he had to do until his voice interrupted the beast's grisly meal. At first the bipedal shark seemed to be rather confused, attempting to make out the words that were being spoken to him, and it was from this that Xanthus first understood that he had spoken the wrong language.

From that point the human-beast seemed to try to sniff him out for a few moments before finally casting his eyes upwards towards Xanthus's position. With a smile the Homunculus waved heartily at the chimera, a gesture that in most other situations might have been construed as mocking. It did not escape his notice that the chimera still brandished the swords, keeping them close by just in case. Pride did not mind this behavior; it was what he might have done in a similar situation. Standing up and brushing himself off, Xanthus began to stretch for a moment before taking a step off of the building and into airy space.

The fall was slightly longer than expected, the building having been a few stories tall. However at the end of a few seconds Xanthus landed with both feet firmly on the ground and immediately continued to walk in the chimera's direction, a small smile ever present on his face. As he became close enough to speak, he stopped suddenly, allowing the chimera a friendly amount of space.

"Perhaps I should try Cretan this time? Is this better? Do you understand me now?" Pride spoke in crystal clear Cretan, pronouncing each word with a fluency and accent that suggested that he had been born and raised in Creta itself, even though this was not the case.

The sand sea only forgives once(Open) Empty Re: The sand sea only forgives once(Open)

Post by Silvac Mon Oct 15, 2012 8:29 pm

Silvac gripped his sword tightly as the strange man up upon the building waved at him; the chimera really didn't trust that simple wave. It was too well assured of... something. Silvac blinked as he watched the man step off of the building and plunge downwards in a controlled fall, he landed simply and walked towards the chimera brushing off the fall like it was nothing. If Silvac had attempted that he would of probably left a large impact radius and may of broken something. His grip on his sword loosened considerably ; something told Silvac if this creature wanted him dead it would of made it so. The chimera stared at the creature in front of him, something seemed off. The smell of his flesh didn't ring a tone like humans did; it didn't have that subtle after taste that some had like Valdis had. The chimera's ears flicked forward as the being opened their mouth... and spoke something. The chimera blinked slowly; they had to be part human or something... it took a few moments for him to register what they had said, he did understand them but did he want them to know that? He could already tell that the man would of gathered it by the sudden understanding that would of been in the chimera's eyes. Silvac sighed softly and nodded his ears flicking backwards to their normal positions, he actually had looked quite humorous with his ears forward like that.

Yes...That's better... I do...

The chimera stepped forward and huffed in some of the scent that had been coming off of pride. It was that scent of nothingness, absolute nothingness and that confused the hell out of Silvac. People's scents were marked by their experiences and what they had been doing recently... yet this mark was different. Something made Silvac's heart wrench as he realized where he had smelled that scent from before. In the lab all those years back... He felt his throat swallow and he stepped away from pride sweating a little bit as slow realization continued to dawn on him. That'd either mean that he had to be an alchemist or was a chimera right? He looked so perfect though.. he couldn't be a chimera but he couldn't be human... but he couldn't be a chimera... plausibly speaking at least.... Silvac bit his lip and told himself to stop; he'd only get flustered at this pace. His eyes were dialated and he could feel his breath come out in short breaths, he was already flustered he could tell, normally this was a bad thing but his fight or flight instinct was saying run the hell away... isntead he talked the stress plainly obvious in his voice.

What... are you...?

The Homunculus's smile only widened slightly when he heard the chimera affirm that he could understand Cretan speech. Cretan was quite a lovely language, seeming to jump from the tongue rather than be forced from it as with Amestrian. However such thoughts digressed from the main matter at hand, which was the curious specimen before the Homunculus. Amusement was kept under a tight leash even as the creature seemed to realize the fact that its ears were pointed straight upwards similarly to perhaps a cat. The motion reminded Xanthus slightly of Sal, but the similarity stopped there. The chimera then proceeded to sniff the air, undoubtedly attempting to catch a whiff of what exactly Xanthus was. The efforts would be in vain, a fact that the chimera was swiftly figuring out for himself. Pupils dilating and breathing becoming irregular were just two signs that told of the creature's discomfort at being within smelling distance of Pride, and he could not say that he blamed the poor thing. After all, what does something such as Pride smell like? Nothingness?

Eventually the creature managed to speak in a voice that clearly betrayed its stress. It asked a relatively simple question, a simple 'what are you' that would likely deserve a simple answer. By this point, Xanthus's smile had grown to the point that it showed off some of his unnaturally white teeth. It also betrayed the fact that his canine teeth were unnaturally sharp, ending in points that were similar to daggers made of bone material. "What am I? A good question and one that I have every intention of answering if you indulge me by telling me what you are, aside from being obviously a chimera of course. Suffice to say for now that I am something as you are, yet something completely different..." Here Xanthus looked directly into the creature's eyes and let him see that the Ishvallan's crimson eyes had for pupils vertical slits similarly to a snake. "...something completely greater." Slightly more dramatic than usual, but then Pride was feeling slightly more theatrical than usual; perhaps starting the day by jumping from a building to 'show off' was not the wisest decision he had ever made.

Post by Silvac Tue Oct 16, 2012 12:37 am

Silvac felt his panic rise considerably as the creature spoke words to him, his instincts screamed for him to run from all creatures within him. The only part of him that said not to run was being overrun by the animal side of him. The large chimera took another step back as the personal bubble that represented his comfortable zone expanded greatly. His ears laid all the way back against his neck and his pupils dilated as far as they would go. His breathing was getting slightly faster as he took yet another step back. This thing was going to hurt him if he stayed in close that's the vibe he suddenly sense. The smile didn't help his hands shivered softly as they took up a very very loose defensive posture as silvac took a third and fourth step back. His entire being was screaming to run away but he didn't, something stopped him. His blood ran cold when his mind finally processed the information he had said and then the question that he had posed towards him. His eyes widened considerably and he felt his breathing quickly return to normal. His voice was very shakey as he spoke, the recent change of his actions bringing a rather stressed vibe to everything he was dong right now.

I... I....

Silvac felt his throat gulp down a bit of air and his panicked reaction seemed to be over the hill but the lingering stress was having effects on his thought pattern. Sure he was friendly right now... until... until what? The eyes locked with silvac's and the chimera stopped moving, his breathing slowed and he felt the gaze seem just to lock his movement up completely. He didn't blink, he seemed to be caught in the headlights as it were. There was something so familiar in those eyes... the same thing he saw when he looked into a mirror when he could find them. The chimera's jaw clenched and he could feel words hiss out of his mouth; ones not filled with pain or worry... but with certainty.

I am a product of alchemy.

Pride reveled in the chimera's obvious fear of him; even though he usually found the role of 'frightening demonic entity' to be slightly cliche, every so often it was good for his ego to be reminded that he was still the most powerful of the eight Homunculi. Even Pride sometimes needed to stroke his ego a bit and satisfy his pride. As the creature began to retreat, Xanthus began to step forward slowly, at a rate of perhaps one step for every two that the chimera would take. His eyes met the chimera's and he reveled more than ever in the discomfort that he was causing the creature, a creature that would likely have already killed an average man of his body type. The chimera spoke of being a product of alchemy, something that Xanthus could relate to quite well. Even as the chimera raised its hands into a defensive position, Pride did nothing more than to remain in his relaxed posture, as though he were speaking to a being that was perhaps an emerging adult or a late teenager rather than a fully grown chimera. His tone even carried a sort of amused undercurrent, as though the Homunculus found himself amused at the turn of the conversation.

"So I see that you will play my little question game. Very well then, you are a product of alchemy. By the terms of our unofficial game I will now answer your previous question. In a sense, I am also a product of alchemy, though of slightly different style than yourself." The smile that Xanthus flashed Silvac was different now; he now looked as though he had known the chimera for quite some time, and simply thought that they were having an inside joke of some kind. His voice had even gone down in volume slightly to reflect the not-quite subtle change in his mannerisms. "I can see that you are predominately shark-based in your structure, but my studies on chimera were slightly limited. Can you tell me what your exact species make-up is?" The Ishvallan's head cocked to the side for a moment, as though trying to determine what composed Silvac merely by looking at him intently. He figured that the chimera would eventually arrive at the conclusion that he was not going to kill him and would calm down, but for now he was content to merely enjoy himself for a moment at the creature's semi-expense.

The sand sea only forgives once(Open) Empty Re: The sand sea only forgives once(Open)

Post by Silvac Wed Oct 17, 2012 11:54 pm

Silvac didn't like that he kept stepping in closer, he felt his inner animals scream for him to attack before suddenly... His sword that was in his tail dropped to the sand as his human side coaxed the three animal sides into relaxing. taking in a deep breath his voice box rattling softly as Pride answered his veiled answer and question with another veiled answer. He already knew his throat was going to hurt from this... but he had to talk. He could feel his vocal cord's stress as he started to speak. He took a seat and started to draw what he remembered into the sand. Really it was just a big circle with little arrows pointed at different positions.

*Seeing how we're going to play Word games... I may as well just give you what you wish to hear... Please bear with me since my voice snaps after a bit...

If to play with the chimera his voice cracked and silvac felt his throat scream in agitation as the chimera went about trying to explain the best he could to this creature. If they wanted to know... so be it...

I remember that there was a circle that they placed me in... I don't remember everything about it... save that in each point they placed an animal... and then at the center me.

The chimera stopped and coughed harshly to the side blood spattering on the sand as his vocal cords started to get more stressed by the speaking. He wiped away the blood and stared up at the hommunculi. His hand poked at each different area in the sand around the circle as he tried to speak again, through a few coughs that were lined with blood.

here as a shark... I don't know what kind... Here was a kommodo dragon... and here... was a wolf.

The chimera stopped and went off to the side before bending over and basically threw up blood as his vocal cords completely rejected his commands at this point. Silvac had talked too much and payed the price for it. It wasn't a good sound to hear and there was animalstic growls and whines of pain as it quelled down. The chimera sat against the side of the building his breathing heavy. He gestured to his throat and pointed he circle before frowning. He really needed to rest, speaking really hurt after a while so he never tried to talk too much.

(pretty much he was coughing this entire time during any speech line :I)

The sand sea only forgives once(Open) Empty Re: The sand sea only forgives once(Open)

Pride listened as intently as a professor listening to a student discussing his theory for a research project. The shark chimera drew a circle into the ground with tiny arrows pointing in opposing directions, but the circle was bare for the most part of the typical intrinsic symbols found within such a procedure. Being the alchemical machine that it was, Xanthus's mind was swift to 'fill in the blanks' where they existed and soon the former alchemist was painting a portrait in his mind of how such a procedure might have looked to one of the experimenters peering into the circle.

The Homunculus could clearly recreate the image of the creation of the Chimera within his mind's eye, perhaps because he had been involved in many dark experiments himself, not the least of which involved the instant slaying of men for the sake of power. He could clearly imagine the shark, the wolf, and the komodo dragon standing within points of the circle, carefully placed as to be equidistant from the central being. The howls of the wolf drowned out the pained sounds of the other two creatures as the operation began, though through it all the Homunculus could clearly hear the scream of a something...something that had once been human, but had been changed forevermore by the ambitions of men.

Xanthus then released himself from his vivid imagining with something of a light snap and recalled that what he was doing was essentially tormenting the creature in front of him. Its...his vocal chords were likely suffering damage from Xanthus having made the creature speak, and being in the waterless desert was likely not aiding that fact. The Homunculus took a moment to dig around in a light pack that he had brought with him before withdrawing his hand to reveal a large canteen. He shook the container lightly before nodding once to himself; the canteen was still filled with water, which made sense considering that he had encountered no need to drink of it. The Homunculus walked right up to Silvac and placed the water beside him before immediately stepping back.

"My apologies, I did not mean to torture you. I do not know how much it will help, but the water within that canteen is yours if you desire it." Xanthus looked away for a moment with a thoughtful look in his eyes. His sudden personality shift might have seemed completely random, however there was a source to his madness. An image of a certain other chimera frowning at his behavior served to bring out the more humane side of his psyche.

The sand sea only forgives once(Open) Empty Re: The sand sea only forgives once(Open)

Silvac sat back wiping the blood away from his mouth, a ragged cough now forming on his lips. He really shouldn't talk alot since this was always bound to happen... thanks to back then and what they had done to him. They had used an imperfect alchemy which had caused him to be improperly devolped in some senses but more advanced in others. The chimera reached under his cloak and was about to remove one of the canteens that he had within before another bout of blood gurgled up and forced the chimera to shift again. He made sure to aim away from both him and pride but it was hellish in volume. When Silvac was done he sat heavily his brow now covered in sweet. The chimera stared softly at the hommunculi his eyes betraying both knowledge and pain that the chimera felt at this moment. Instead of talking the chimera simply twitched his ears foreward and then almost felt his animals tear at him when the hommunculi stepped foreward... but then immediately step back. Pride had offered his canteen, it was surprising really... He didn't think that either of them were really on that level but maybe Silvac misunderstood what the hommunculi felt.

Instead of drinking the Chimera slowly stood up with the canteen in hand, his hands were shaking causing the water within to make a sloshing sound. The chimera placed the canteen in the hommunculi's hands and then sat down again his shaky hand going to one of the three canteens within his cloak. The chimera was smiling a bit as he took a grateful swig of the canteen. The water soothed the back of his throat and got the taste of blood out of his mouth. Blood made it hard for him to think, he'd have to be careful about it because he'd often lose focus if too much was around. The chimera's tail swished and he stared gently at the circle, as if by instinct he made two crosses that were in-between the symbol he shrugged after he did that and looked up at pride. Normally standard Alchemist symbols didn't have those and it probably was pretty obvious.

He put the canteen to his mouth again and drained the contents from half way, his throat was no longer screaming and he felt his body slowly start to calm down. The chimera did not enjoy the fact his body disliked even speaking. He rubbed his throat and made a bit of a face. He then glanced over at the swords and then knocked them over, pretty sure that there wouldn't be a fight. He didn't smell anything outside of the building and he could tell that Pride was alone... at least he couldn't smell anymore like him so that would probably symbolize he was alone... he hoped. The chimera leaned against the wall and let out a long huff that spoke volumes about how painful that the bloody throw up was. It didn't come from his stomach but it came from his throat which made it much much worse.
