Post by Csilla Angelis Mon Nov 21, 2011 11:55 pm

Csilla was truly enjoying her time in South. She had spent a wonderful day with Shula, drinking strawberry margaritas. It only became more entertaining when Shula's father arrived, a plethora of clothing in tow. It was... simply amazing, what being in South had done to Csilla. Sure, she was still a bit banged-up from Moscow and she was limping along, but... it was more mental than anything. Telling Shula about Elastor had taken a huge weight off her heart. She still wasn't sure exactly how she felt about him, but she was finally able to recognize that there was something. Would anything come from it? She honestly had no idea. She wasn't planning on going to Creta any time soon, and she highly doubted that Elastor would be coming to Amestris in the near future. She was leaving her fate into the hands of the gods. Because as much as her heart leapt when she thought of him, it sunk at the thought of rejection. He'd rejected her before... she couldn't handle it again. So she had somewhat resigned herself to her dark knight being a lingering thought in her mind and nothing more.

But what was here and now was South. And South was hot. Hot and humid. Csilla had waved goodbye to Shula and her father, letting them spend some time together alone. And she was off to the beach! She had traded her boots for flip flops and a flowy purple sundress covered her swimsuit. She had borrowed a big bag and towel from Shula, the bag stuffed with tanning lotion, a bottle of water and quite a few books. She stood at the edge of the sandy beach, surprised that beach was as empty as it was. Okay, it was exactly EMPTY. There were quite a few people there. But she expected more people to be diving in the lake to cool off from the heat. Well, maybe later they would arrive. Csilla kicked off her flip flops, putting them in the bag. She wiggled her toes in the sand as she wandered down the beach, until she found a quiet little spot not too far from the water. She pulled the towel from the bag, laying it out on the beach. She pulled off her sundress to reveal her blue and green bikini. She applied lotion quickly and after sticking her hair in a high ponytail, rolled her dress up as a pillow She slipped on her sunglasses and lay down on her stomach, emitting a happy sigh. She reached into the bag and chose a book at random. Ah. She smiled down at the romance novel that looked up at her. She opened the book and began to read, one hand idly touching her locket. This was going to be a relaxing day. Csilla could tell.

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

He...didn't belong here. He kept telling himself that, but that didn't stop his feet from taking step after step across the gleaming sand. He already had a nice, itchy pile of it in his shoes. Sighing loudly, he tried to shake it out, only managing to spread it out more and bother his whole foot instead of just his heel. Ela decided just to leave the other foot alone. He would deal with it...it was fine. It was fine. "Mommy, look at that scary man!" Elastor turned his head and shot the child a nasty blue corn glare. The little girl took a few steps back and the tall man whipped around his black trench coat as he turned back around to his path. It appeared as if he were on some sort of beach. King Dietrich mentioned it once...that South City didn't always have this giant lake. It was this lake that was throwing off his outdated map he had bought from a souvenir shop. Pressing the pages to his eyes, he squinted at the contents and looked back to the side. If he went that way, he'd hit the highway. So...to walk straight across here was the only way to make it to the Head Quarters. This...this was almost too much.

Pressing a hand to his aching side he pushed on, stepping around sand castles and dodging children that looked at him as if he were some spawn of the devil. Was wearing all black on the beach illegal or something? No one else seemed to possess any... On that note, no one else was wearing shoes either. It was peculiar to say the least. Just as he raised his eyes from the water, blond dipped into his pupils that shrunk in surprise. She...she was here?! His foot stopped in midair and he stared blankly at the tip of his buckled boots. Wait. He wasn't ready. He had to mentally prepare himself for this. It was too soon. She was right there. What was he going to do? Was he just going to apologize? Or was he going to start off with giving King Dietrich's regards? His nails dug into his ebony, washed-out pants. This was difficult. But his foot finished its step and the next made its way to her until he was crouched down, holding his side with a wry smile. His form shadowed her and his eyes were dark as the words fell from his lips.

"Remember me?" He could have definitely come up with something better.

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

She held back a gasp as he pulled her far closer than propriety allowed, even as he kept in perfect time with the orchestra playing in the corner. She could feel her cheeks turning pink, even as she tried to remain cool, a false smile on her lips. His hand spanned across the small of her back felt like a hot iron, a heat that traveled like electricity across every inch of her body. She glanced at her hand resting lightly on his muscled arm and slowly let her eyes move upwards to his face. His strong jawline was softened in an amused smile. The regal appearance of his nose made him appear haughty, even as his dark blue eyes sparkled down at her. His russet hair was tied loosely at the nape of his neck. He was a dream, she would admit. But he was also the most infamous rake in London. And that alone spelled trouble.

Csilla emitted a happy sigh. Oh, what a rake he was. Sure, she hadn't read this book before. But a lot of romance novels had a very similar vein. And the best part was, it never got old. She slowly kicked her legs back and forth as she turned the page. This was turning out to be quite a relaxing day after all. She was moving quickly through her book and couldn't wait to begin another when the time came. Nothing could possibly interrupt this perf-

Remember me?

Csilla literally froze. Her eyes widened considerably underneath her sunglasses as she stared blankly at the pages in her hands. The words appeared to be gibberish now; she had forgotten how to read. She had forgotten how to speak... she had forgotten how to breathe. Csilla came back to herself quickly, managing to only cough lightly once or twice. She casually slid the bookmark into its place, closing the book. She then took of her sunglasses, now noticing the shadow his body was casting. She turned her upper body slightly, turning her head more fully to look at him. Her eyes traveled up his booted feet, his pantsed legs, his covered stomach, his hidden arms and up to his face. His red hair blew against his face from the sea breeze and she resisted the urge to brush it away. He had a small smile on his face, which was... unusual. She honestly couldn't remember him ever really smiling. Except in Drachma when he had taken her hand... and then... Her face flushed. SHE HAD KISSED HIM!!! Oh. By ZEUS. She licked her dry lips, looking into his blue eyes. And she said that first thing that came into her mind.

Why do you have so many clothes on?” ...Oops. She grimaced and quickly began to speak. “I mean... it's a beach. And you're wearing... - Um... It's hot out... and...” She groaned, turning back and burying her face into her dress-pillow. She remained like that, though her voice, a bit muffled, spoke out again. “What are you doing here?

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

Nearly regretting it, Ela blanched, twirling a few strands of red hair around his ungloved hand. Eyes narrowing into solemn slits, he took a deep breath to steady his racing heart. And why was it like this? The memories certainly were haunting--a mere specter in his mind telling him something much more demanding than any thought before. His hand pulled taught the hair and it hurt slightly--a pain that sealed away the numb throbbing just to the side of his belly button. Teeth thrust against each other, holding back a hiss as his mind yanked itself from its thoughts and was thrust, flailing, back to reality.

Why do you have so many clothes on? His faint smile fell right off his lips--the same lips she had placed hers against in a sharp flash of pain and pleasure. He was here now because of that brief, fleeting feeling that he did not dare attempt to undermine. It was time to answer, he knew, but the words were caught in his throat, lodged there. He barely heard what she was saying; it breezed over him in sweet scents of seawater--A groan, Amestrian. He couldn't catch up to the gear change of languages and hung off the tail end of the question. Bleary blue blinked and he managed to turn his head just barely to face her begrudgingly.

"I came straight from North City Hospital, Csilla." Her name. He said it just like that, but the aftereffects of saying it suddenly stained his soul a different shade. The dull reaches of pain from the bullet grew colorful, holding meaning, and further enabling him to ignore his own suffering completely. He was a man on a mission. "It would draw attention." He looked to the side, staring mindlessly at the spinning rainbows on a beach ball. He couldn't look away so he forced himself to struggle on with his to-the-point words. "The bandages." Even now they were pulling at him, the pressure nearly driving him mad. Ela hadn't wanted to move, but working was all he knew. And now...well, now... Why was he here?

What are you doing here? She had asked before... It resounded in his head.

He didn't know. He...didn't know. But... He was working for himself. Right now, Dietrich needed to recover and there was nothing to do but recover himself. To recover...he had to be here. Why here? He couldn't leave this behind. This was something that needed to end...or to begin. After failing to kill Takatori, he nearly wished that the bullet intended for Csilla has instead pierced his heart. But...his own death would accomplish nothing. What of Anouk--what of his sister? Her family...Oh god her family... His hands clenched into fists and he took a deep, shuddering breath. Existing right now was difficult. Working his limp muscles to continue crouching like this felt like he had become Atlas. Ela had been shot before, but never had he yanked himself out of bed the day after to go see a girl--a girl that had kissed him...

"Would you like to...join me for dinner tonight?"

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

Post by Csilla Angelis Wed Dec 14, 2011 10:12 pm

I came straight from North City Hospital, Csilla. It would draw attention. The bandages.

Oh. Bandages. She then realized about how she probably looked, lying there in her bikini. Her shoulder had a graze wound on it and was still red, the cut on her temple almost gone. She had bandaged her calf today so people wouldn't stare too much at the bullet wound but... she had honestly forgotten about being hurt. Or that he had been hurt. Or the need/want to hide such things. Then it clicked. He said HER NAME. Csilla. She forgot how to breathe again. He had continued to speak in Cretan, but that didn't change the fact that he had said her name. It was not a growl or a shout but... her heart thumped once hard against her chest. She then thought it would be best to stop hiding her face in her dress. It couldn't be that hard to look at him, could it? She raised her head and turned her face as he spoke again.

Would you like to...join me for dinner tonight?

Oh. There it was again. That breathless feeling. She felt her face flush pink and she looked away again. How did he do this to her so easily? How did he make her feel so... so. She couldn't describe it. It was almost like... she glanced down at the romance novel she had been reading. They never really understood what was happening, the feelings that were rising within them. They danced circles around each other until they finally met in the middle and BOOM... love. But this wasn't a romance novel. This was her life. So why did it feel like it? Why did everything have to feel so jumbled? Some clarity wouldn't go amiss, that was for sure. She realized she was probably being way too quiet for way too long. She didn't want him to think that she didn't want to go. She really did. She shifted a little bit and raised herself into a sitting position, legs crossed and facing him. He was crouching down and he didn't exactly look comfortable. He was in pain, more likely than not. And probably hot. By Zeus! She was doing it again. Not saying anything. But what should she say? “Okay!” “Yes, I would love to.” “Sounds good!” Or something else? Nothing seemed to properly convey the strange mix of emotions she was feeling right now. Her heart was beating against her chest, her stomach in knots. And this was just the invitation to dinner! She couldn't even imagine how she would be tonight. So she did all she could do under the circumstances,... she smiled brightly at him and nodded.

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

Post by Elastor Ito Tue Dec 20, 2011 1:51 am

That same beach ball rolled into his knee, pushing lightly as if it were the embodiment of wind itself. Ela seeped in a gust of air and forced the lash out of his eyes when he nearly glared katanas at the little boy with gimme hands. He whipped his head around further, taking up the rainbowed object and tossing it back towards the bending sunlight. "Here," he said dully, turning back and meeting Csilla's eyes without expectations. They didn't seem to see him, instead, were venturing deeply into the confines of contemplation. Did his question really demand such a complicated answer? Just say yes or no. It wasn't that hard. He blinked, feeling like his eyes were drying out in the heat just wafting off the sand, penetrating his shoes, lapping up his legs, and encompassing his black-clothed body until he nearly reached sweating-point. His frigid eyes served to negate that point as they stared intensely at the blond girl.

Waiting for an answer was like waiting at the doctor's office. Ela wouldn't be caught dead going to such a place if not for the requirements of his job. Hospitals were also a frequent thing, but never really involved that intense waiting...in a room that smelled funny with people all around coughing, old, tissues, red eyes; it was a grounds for infectation. He shivered at the thought, but right now it was too hot to even work one up. He sighed, wanting to avert his eyes, but feeling the sensation that maybe she was about to speak. If he looked away then, he might miss something. It was like putting in headphones while waiting for your name to be called... "Ito, you're next!" He stood up, brushing the kernels of sand off his pants and pretty much everywhere else. His shadow cast over a part of her leg he noted was bandaged. That made walking difficult surely. He nearly frowned at the thought, but he gave away no emotion for fear that it would make him appear impatient. Actually...he was getting impatient. The frown planted itself nicely on his lips as if it belonged there permanently and Ela was never to be happy again.

She nodded--the brightest smile the redheaded royal guard had ever seen on the girl. He almost let the frown go, but this was a battle he would not succumb to. No matter what. "Then let's go." Ela grabbed her wrist, side-glancing the book and everything else she had with her. It didn't look like it would take too much time to gather it all and go. His own bag slung around his shoulders was beginning to choke him from the weight. Lugging it all the way across the country from North to South would do that to someone. "Get your things." Oh. She needed her wrist. He gave a struggled smile, and let go only after making sure she was standing fully. That way, at least one of them was; Ela wasn't sure if he would be able to stand fully at all tonight. One thing he was sure of though was that he had already succumb to it...

What was going on?? She had said yes, but he was frowning and looking extremely bothered. Talk about mixed signals! He was standing and suddenly tugging her to stand up, telling her she needed to leave this lovely beach. By Hera, what was this man thinking? Even the pained smile on his face did not make Csilla feel any less bothered. He had asked her to dinner, not to spend the entire day together. And contrary to popular belief, it did not take her AN ENTIRE DAY to get ready for something. ...True, she was going to spend a few more hours than usual primping herself. But that in itself was hours away. She remained sitting on her towel, arms crossed over her chest. Slipping her sunglasses down onto her eyes so she could glare without squinting. Her voice dropped a little quieter, hinting that she was borderline annoyed.“Dinner is toNIGHT, Ela. Not toDAY. I will be ready when you pick me up. But for now, I have a book I would very much like to finish.” She smiled at him to let him know she wasn't really angry with him, although she was quite serious about finishing her book. Picking it up, she laid down onto her stomach again, feet swinging into the air. As she opened to her bookmark, she spoke again. “Why don't you try to get some rest in too? You look exhausted.” This tone was a lot more heartfelt and concerned, even though she wasn't looking at him.

It wasn't until after Elastor had left that Csilla realized she had called him “Ela” again. This was getting more and more complicated by the minute. At least what Shula and her and discussed last night was going to happen; the two of them were going to talk. Although, the circumstances were nothing like either girl could have imagined. Shaking her head a little bit with a sigh, she allowed herself to be fully absorbed in her book. She did really want to finish this book today and as her beach time was now considerably shortened, she had a lot of pages left to cover.

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

Post by Elastor Ito Sun Dec 25, 2011 3:08 am

"Ela?" No one else besides his diseased family had ever called him that. A ghost of a smile ran frosted fingers over his lips, thawing, and thawing some more the longer he replayed the intensity of Csilla's own smile. That was going to make tonight hard... That was just it though: toNIGHT, as she so thoroughly pointed out. The words almost stung. That is, if he hadn't known all along that she was just teasing. Though the teasing would certainly need a lot of getting used to... He sighed...as quietly as he could without drawing attention. He wasn't clear enough. Actually, he really hadn't explained anything. The female gender did take forever to get ready, but from judging how long she had been in the shower at his place some time ago, and tacking on some extra time just to be safe, she wouldn't need to start now. He was overestimating--definitely overestimating. Was he...nervous? Ela blinked, staring at something or other blindly. That could very well be the case. Last time he had gone out somewhere with a girl had been with his sister. He was...five then? Anouk... Tomorrow, tomorrow was the day when he would break into one of the Men in White's hideout whose location had been leaked to him. His chances of survival were equal to his chances of not coming out alive. ToNIGHT was happening now because of that. He had to thank her--thank Csilla for that slight feeling of warmth that briefly rubbed against his tormented soul. Like a stray cat, she came and went, came and went. Now he was the one to go.

But he had come into a controversy here. Csilla nodded, smiled, and definitely seemed willing to go, yet at the same time, she also wanted to finish her book. How much was left of it? He squinted down at the remained pages and side-glanced his watch. If he sacrificed an hour and a half of the time he assumed she needed to tack on to get ready, plus travel time, then she would only have another hour or so here... It depended as well on her speed of reading. He noted that she had settled back to the way he had found her. He found his frown again, finding the situation growing more and more dire. He had to tell her now. Ela opened his mouth, but shut it upon hearing her voice once more.

Why don't you try to get some rest in too? You look exhausted. Yeah, he was exhausted. Somehow escaping the hospital without signing out and traveling across the country sapped him of his previous vigor. He sunk down onto his knees in the sand.

""I...don't really have anywhere to go, and..." He looked to the side, catching glimpses of sea foam as waves crested before looking back at her nervously. "The place is a bit far. We would have to leave three hours and twenty-three minutes from now. Also I...don't really know where to pick you up." ARGHHHHHHHHH he was FRUSTRATED. It was so complicated. Why did he get himself in this mess again?! He trudged through those thoughts until he remembered that smile. That's right, I don't live for myself anymore...I live...to make others happy.

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

"Ela?"

She closed her eyes quickly, a grimace passing over her face. She'd called him Ela. By Hades! She peeked one eye open, looking out of the corner of her eye at him. She was waiting any second for him to start yelling at her again. But... he was smiling? Well, sort of. She was sure if she could call it a real smile so much as a whisper of one. Yet that was a much better reaction than the last time she had shortened his name.

"I...don't really have anywhere to go, and... The place is a bit far. We would have to leave three hours and twenty-three minutes from now. Also I...don't really know where to pick you up."

This time she slammed her head down into her book, shaking it with a sigh. He had been... suave, almost, when asking her to dinner. So genuine. Now he just... he had it down to the minute when they had to leave. He didn't think to ask her where to pick her up, likely assuming she would've hopped to her feet when he said "Let's go!". Lifting her head up, she noticed that he was on his knees in the sand. He really did look horrible. And he didn't even find a place to stay. Csilla couldn't believe it. You know, for a smart guy, he was kind of dumb sometimes. With a sigh, she slid the bookmark into her book, closing it. She put the book back into the bag, standing and stretching her arms above her head. She unrolled her dress, shaking it a little to release any sand that might have gotten in there. She put the sundress back on, grabbing her towel and shaking the sand off of that as well before rolling it up and returning it to the bag. She threw the bag over her shoulder. her flip flops hanging loosely in her fingers. She smiled down at Ela softly, reaching out her hand to him.

"Come on. I'm staying with a friend, but I know a place where you can get a decent room for a cheap price. A nap and a hot shower will do you a world of good."

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

Post by Elastor Ito Sat Dec 31, 2011 2:06 am

Elastor Ito blinked and so much happened. First, the faceplant into the book. Second, Csi shook her head in disappointment. Third, she was already standing and shaking sand from her towel that nearly blew into his eyes. He looked away, blinking it out of his eyelashes, and turned back only to find her standing there expectantly with her sandals dangling. WAIT. No. That had not been his intention at all! There was no forcing involved, no rush. Ela wished he had a book to faceplant into, for he had just failed himself. He hadn't been implying to leave now. Ela just needed to know where to pick her up and to make sure she knew that it would be more sooner than later. He definitely should have planned the interaction section of this missio--conversation better. He sucked in a whistle of breath and dodged out of taking her hand with a hard stare almost too serious for the words that came next. His hand instead of grasping hers, fell onto her bare shoulder. Warmth...sunlit warmth... It seeped into him, melting over the words that usually sounded so cold coming from him.

"Wait, what about your book?" He didn't mind watching her read. Although, if he recalled the seldom times he was watched while reading, it was not a very pleasant experience. He could have gone away if she asked? It wasn't bad...sitting on the beach...except for the heat. But, that also may not be the reason she was suddenly raring to leave either. Ela bit his lip. It had to be another reason. Was it his precise mention of the allotted amount of time they needed before departure? He should have just rounded up... Would it kill him to say an hour and a half? Possibly... Because it wasn't an hour and a half!

...

"Come on. I'm staying with a friend, but I know a place where you can get a decent room for a cheap price. A nap and a hot shower will do you a world of good." Do foreign credit cards work? He hoped so. But wait...why did he need a hotel room for three hours and eighteen minutes? Ela never wasted his money like that. And...a nap? Who did she think she was talking to? The redhead stared her down, having trouble formulating words that would come anywhere near expressing his feelings. Taking a girl out to dinner was a pain in the ass, but he was here doing it, che, and he would do it right. "Hn" was his intelligent response spiced with the removal of his hand from her shoulder and an arm cross. ...hot shower? Hot? Wasn't it hot enough. Shower? He had just had one this morning? What was she implying? Ela blinked completely baffled. She...she was just trying to occupy him while she got ready? That had to be it. He appreciated the gesture, but he wasn't a five-year-old; he had cologne in his bag as well as many other necessary tools for fitting the role of an escort to dinner. He had this. But...maybe another shower wouldn't kill him.

Csilla sighed heavily. THIS MAN WAS SO IRRITATING. At least he was standing. She crossed her arms over her chest, frowning at him. “Look, you're sweating from all those layers. Your wound is probably sore. And seeing as who you came straight from North, why wouldn't you be exhausted? And if you're planning on staying the night in South, a hotel room is a lot more comfortable than the streets.” She attempted to smile. “I can just as easily finish my book at my friend's before I get ready. I would rather see you somewhere other than this stifling beach first. So will you just come with me?

He didn't seem happy in the slightest, but it looked like he was actually going to come with her. Well, it was for his own good. He may even thank her for it at dinner tonight... but she doubted it. He didn't seem the type. Nevertheless, she needed to get him off of the hot beach and somewhere cool. Otherwise he would get ill, likely from the wound and the heat. And Csilla was quite looking forward to dinner. She had taken care of him when he was sick once and that had ended badly. She did not want a repeat.

She got him into a hotel and after making sure he went to his room, she practically ran all the way back to Shula's apartment. She burst in the front door. “SHULA!!! PHILLIP!!! Guess wh-... Hi Spade.” She stood in the doorway of the apartment as Spade walked in from the balcony. He gave his usual cheerily-smartass-greeting. Dragging Shula upstairs, she ran into her bathroom and clicked the door. Quickly gushing out what happened, she wrung her hands. “Shula, I have nothing to wear. You and your dad have to help me! Please!!

Kindness. Ela was not used to kindness. In general, he never registered it until it was shoved in his face. Smearing across his eyes, he finally seemed to recognize its existence as very much present. ...She had to explain it to him as if he had missed the point of her offer entirely. While he cared about her and how she felt, she also cared about him and how he felt? That give-and-take scenario was almost too confusing to effectively process, but at the same time, Elastor felt as though he was finally beginning to understand it. Sometime to make others happy, it wasn't ones own sacrifices, but possibly ones comfort? Ela blinked, suddenly feeling the weight of the sun and looseness of the sand under his unstable stance. She was completely and utterly correct. She attacked and he could only stand there and take is as the truth. Yeah, he felt like he was going to get sunburn after roaming the beach for only a short hour. Yeah, he was in pain because he checked out way too early. And yeah, maybe driving to Creta tonight after dinner was a bad idea... Like a brick, the realization was strong. He drew in a breath and let the sensation wash over him. If...if he were to survive his mission of taking out one of Men in White's hideouts, it would be entirely thanks to this moment.

"So will you just come with me? He nodded, knowing that he didn't look happy about it in the slightest. Ela knew he was bad at it. For now, just put up with it, Csi? She did, leading him straight off the beach and right to a hotel overlooking it. Getting a room was easy...he didn't even have to sign for it. He took the stairs alllllllllllllll the way up to the 20th floor. Panting, he stumbled into it and was amazed. Hotel rooms...looked like this in Amestris? He felt...spoiled beyond measure and was beside himself with what to do. Breathing made him feel as if he was dirtying the royalty-themed room adorned with golden light fixtures, Persian rugs, and comforter sheets. The air conditioning was blasting, almost making him feel cold. Okay. First, she wanted him to take another shower? He carefully placed his bag on the bed and dug through it for his nighttime attire. Leaving it folded on the bed, he began to remove his clothed and lay them folded on the floor. Dammit, good thing he stole extra bandages from the hospital. Well, stole wasn't really accurate; he had politely asked for them and received along with a grumpy expression and suggestion not to check out. All well.

Elastor stepped into the blaring hot water, not even feeling it as it singe his skin and washed away the ten-minute-old sweat. He used the hotel shampoo (all of it) and washed his hair three times before conditioning. He used one of the towels to scrub himself with the lavender-scented body wash and rinsed, watching the rouge-tinted water flow off him and sting the breaks between the stitches. He barely felt it for the heat seemed to numb the pain of the invading water. Stepping out, he managed to avoid staining the towel and dried off in the cloud of steam. But as he looked up into the mirror that was supposed to be fogged over, he saw writing there. Ellie and Jack Forever, it read with a heart around it. Ela blinked and immediately exited the bathroom, changing his clothes with a yawn. Laying down was out of the question. Putting on his old clothes was also out of the question. Therefore, he would sleep sitting up. He was used to it anyway... Beds were too comfortable. He found a chair near the door, and after combing through his hair with the plastic thing as well as brushing his teeth, Ela fell listlessly asleep. His alarm would rouse him just an hour before they had to leave...

Phillip was a MAGIC MAN. Csilla couldn't be more just in awe of his tailoring prowess. After she had blurted to Shula her entire ridiculous morning, they had quickly brought Phillip into the deal, merely telling him she had a date that she totally wasn't prepared for. He had shooed her off to shower and get ready and then went to work. Csilla took a decently long shower, making sure she was scrubbed clean everywhere. Then she stared at herself in the bathroom mirror for what felt like ages, trying to figure out what to do with her hair. She eventually dried it and then tied two small braids from the front of her head (over her ears) to where the joined into a braid in the back. She kept her makeup simple, a little bronze eyeshadow and mascara, with the tiniest bit of lipstick. It was as she was finishing up that she had a knock on the door. She stuck her toweled body out of the door to have a mess of fabric thrown at her. Phillip demanded she put it on immediately and then come downstairs so he could make the final alterations.

And my goodness, it was... unbelievable. The color was a rich royal blue, an asymmetrical halter dress. Around her waist was a tight elastic black belt to separate the top from the bottom. The skirt reached from to just above her knee, moving up to mid-thigh, with ruching along the seam. She wore some bronze heels she had recently purchased as well as some bronze bangles from Shula's wide collection. She twirled in the dress a moment, just completely shocked. And she was even ready a little early! To slake off the nervousness she went to munch on a few strawberries in the kitchen. Maybe he would get there early? She was so incredibly scared,... but so incredibly excited.

The sound of his alarm made him want to violently break something, but instead, Ela merely woke up, rolling from the chair to his feet. He fixed his attire in the body mirror on the closet and went about making some tea. Surely, the caffeine would do wonders. He fixed his hair in the bathroom mirror where he could apply water where needed to smooth out the bends of sleep. He checked his eyes while he was at it, rubbed them, and then washed his face with hot water. Once the air hit it, the wetness became cold, rousing him further from the long nap he had endured. When the tea was ready, he drank two cups of the bitter stuff and checked the time. For the next thirty minutes, he paced the room, tried to watch Amestrian news, straightened and then restraightened his things, trying to swallow the nervousness of leaving them behind in an unknown room...despite them being rather customary items. They were so easily replaced it was laughable, but because of the unnecessary slew of free time, he didn't know what else to do to occupy himself other than worry about minuscule things. Ela sighed, giving them one last backward glance before slipping out the door and locking it tight by simply...shutting the door and pulling it closed. Wallet? Check. Cologne? Check. Money? In wallet, check. He was set.

During his journey down the long flight of stairs, he mindlessly stared at the white-painted walls passing him by until a thought hit him rather hard. He had no idea where he was going. Where had Csilla gone when she left him here? Neither of them had the brilliant clue that he needed the address in some way, shape, or form, therefore Elastor was more than a little lost the moment he stepped into the chilly night air. Great. After spending the next twenty minutes walking all the way to where he parked his car, he whipped out the GPS from the glove compartment. She had mentioned that she was going to 'Shu's place,' meaning that this Shu person was probably Shula Brighton the Head of South City Head Quarters. She was that Ishvallan woman who was really short, if he remembered correctly. They met in Drachma when he was guarding Dietrich. Right, guarding... His King had been shot just as he head. Wonderful guardsmen, he was... So if Ela could just get the add-- He dug into his pocket and obtained his phone, speed-dialing Roose Martisona all the way from Creta. It would be marked as a long-distance call for sure, but it wasn't like Ela paid it any mind. "Hello, Ela? Is everything okay?"

"Dashingly. I need an address."

"Oh yeah? Right on that. Whose?"

"Shula Brighton, Head of South City HQ."

"But that information is usually classi--"

"Hack it."

"Yessir," he paused, the sounds of a keyboard draining through. Once the sound stopped, Roose's voice came through the quiet with the address perfectly recited. Ela typed it in and then sped off, barely having a chance to give his utmost thanks before hanging up. He arrived early, waiting in the car a few minutes until the clock shed some numbers. He got out and rang the doorbell at the exact time they agreed to meet. Perfectly on time as per usual, Ela was stuck contemplating the worst. She wasn't ready, had forgotten, decided she hated him, the apartment was robbed by a Cretan hacker who had discovered Shula's address... Anything was possible. And he was ready for it.

Csilla hummed absentmindedly to herself, hopping from foot to foot in the kitchen. Shula had come in there and was trying to help calm her nerves, but Spade was shouting things from the living room that were not helping. “Are you putting out on the first date, Csilla?” “You need to show MORE cleavage!” Apparently since Shula and Spade were an item of sorts and Csilla was the best friend, that meant SHE was the one being constantly teased? It definitely wasn't helping, that was for sure. Csilla grabbed at a large strawberry, reaching back to whip it out of the kitchen and at Spade's head when...

Diiiiiiinnggg dooooonngggg

She stopped mid-motion, the strawberry falling out of her hand (and conveniently back into the bowl). Squeaking suddenly, she ushered Shula, Spade and Phillip up into the loft. She didn't want any attempts at awkward conversation with Elastor. If he thought there was no one there, they could just leave! She glanced at herself quickly in the mirror before grabbing her wristlet and opening the door only a minute after he rang the bell. She stood in the doorway, a bright (albeit nervous) smile on her face. And she just kind of stayed there for a moment. Wow. He looked [really] good. She hadn't noticed at the beach, but the ear tails he had at their previous meetings were gone and his auburn appeared to be getting a little longer, although it was still short. He was dressed in a black suit with really subtle dark gray pin-striping and a black button down shirt, the top couple buttons undone. On his feet were his boots, which made her release a small giggle. This was REALLY happening! She hadn't been on a real date in... a long time. And never on a date that involved dressing up nice. She was really excited! She couldn't wa-

[[[PLAY ME RIGHT NOW]]]

She glared back into the apartment, looking up at a grinning Spade. She stuck her tongue out at him and watched as Shula reached over to smack his arm. She noticed as he opened his mouth to call out something, but she quickly stepped through the door, shutting it with a small “slam.” She then realized she was quite nearly chest to chest with Elastor. With a blush she side-stepped to give them both a little more space. She glanced downwards for a moment, before peeking up through her lashes. “Um... hi! I'm ready.” She couldn't keep the nervous smile off her face, even if she tried.

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

Thirty seconds. It had been thirty seconds. He stared intensely at his watch, observing as the second hand continued on despite the adversity of his conclusion. A minute! It had been a-- The door opened, no, was opening...in slow motion. It sounded like many locks had to be undone until finally it swung inward, revealing...how nervous he was. By revealing, it was nothing shown on the outside, but more so attune to a sudden feeling that he couldn't nearly describe. It was confusion: bright, blistering as the sun blinking through clouds into a brilliant sunrise. What...? He nearly wanted to shield his eyes, but like Galileo, stared right at it despite the risk of going blind. There she was, ready, willing, and equally staring back at him. Suddenly, he realized that this wasn't simply taking a person of the female gender out to dinner, but instead a complicated measure he hadn't yet begun to understand.

She giggled suddenly, alerting Ela to the fact that she was staring at his boots. Certainly that much was clear: he had forgotten dress shoes...or more accurately hadn't owned a pair or thought to buy them alongside the suit he had recently purchased for this occasion. Did it make him look cheap? Was that laugh one of scorn or one of amusement? During his mini heart attack, a whistle drifted out from somewhere inside. There were other people there? Shula Brighton of South City HQ wouldn't partake in such a masculine tone, would she not? Hm. He pondered this for half a second, tilting his head while opening his mouth to begin the inquiry, but the door suddenly shut. His head righted itself from where he nearly stooped to look, and he stared flatly at her. She was in his...space. He heart thudded and clambered down two-hundred flights of stairs before he regained his voice, but by that time, Csilla had already noticed and jutted to the side with the faintest of red rouging her cheeks. Um... hi! I'm ready.

He noticed her nervous smile, erasing his own with the faintest breaths of a lip curl. Tentatively, he placed a hand on her shoulder, leaning down with eyes picturesque of daylight bending off charred tundras of ice. "It's fine. You don't have to move away." His hand slipped off her bare shoulder and moved to the car keys in his other hand, switching them to his left. His eyes moved immediately back to hers, but the smile had already faded in the slightest. "That dress...it's my favorite color." What...was he saying? Normally he revealed nothing about himself, but the words fell out of him as naturally as if he were giving a mission report or swinging his sword. Why was that, he wondered... "It's beautiful, but aren't you cold? Here." Slowly, he unwrapped the heavy black scarf from around his neck and opened it up to drape over her shoulders. It came to the middle of her back, efficiently shielding her arms from the cold winter nights the South had to offer. "Sorry if it reeks of cologne." He found himself smiling as he lead her to the street where his car was parked, unlocked simply by pressing a button. It glimmered against the dark of the sky, contrasting with a perfectly white paint job: his Porsche he had brought all the way from Creta. He opened the door for her before getting in himself.

Then he was off, revving the engine at the start for some amused glances before setting the GPS. Time in the car was spent with a mixed playlist Ela had made specifically to fill the space between conversations he was hardly mentally prepared for, but he tried his best not to respond with 'hn' often. He even went so far as to hand her his iPhone 4S and ask her if she knew any of the artists he had on there. It turned out that some of the movie soundtracks on there were of films she had seen and also enjoyed, springing up more words that lead them quickly through the hour.

They pulled up to the very front where Ela got out, handing a man dressed in a white suit the keys with a ferocious scratch-my-car--drive-my-car-anywhere-other-than-right-to-the-parking-garage-and-die glare. The man almost nodded in recognition of that look. The royal guard remarked with a scoff, and then proceeded to let Csi out of the car.

Before them in glimmering gold was the name of one of the most famous restaurants: Enoteca Pinchiorri. It was Cersian from a small island owned by Gelemorté that was renowned for fabulous food. "Elastor Ito," he said to the lady when she asked for his reservation (one could only make a reservation a day prior; there were no walk-ins). Leisurely, they were lead further inside, under not just chandeliers but a lavish artistry that somehow even appeased his nitpicky deductions. Soft, Cersian music dripped though the background noise of silverware, orders, and laughter. When they reached their table, the chairs were pulled out for them and ornate menus set in front of them. Then, they were left alone--so alone that the pressure began to crush him. So much so that he said the first thing that breached the surface of his mind, taking large, gaping breaths of air that simmered with opulent pasta. "Would you prefer me to speak in Amestrian...?" Perhaps he had been impolite before not to offer...

OH. BY. APHRODITE. She wanted to just melt into a pool of Csilla right there on the floor of the hallway outside Shula's apartment. He had touched her BARE shoulder with his BARE hand, told her his favorite color and called her/the dress beautiful. She had decided. She was going to do whatever modeling Phillip wanted her to do. Making her this dress was worth whatever he came up with! She was still reeling from these reactions when a warm black scarf... well, more of a shawl on her came around her shoulders. She smiled at him, saying “thank you” very quietly even as she breathed in the scent of Elastor. It wasn't just his cologne she could feel seeping out of the scarf and onto her skin it was just... his smell. She hadn't been super close to him all that often to fully appreciate it but she knew it was a wonderful smell. One that she certainly didn't want to let go of. Well, she didn't really want to let go of any of him. But! One step at a time.

The car ride was pleasant and not at all strained. In the beginning she felt uncomfortable, unsure how to be while they traveled to the restaurant. He had a lot of music on his phone and even let her control the music! She definitely talked more in the car, but he wasn't entirely silent either. She really liked it. Even though she was the chattier of the two... it suited them. It definitely made Csilla more relaxed. That was, until they got to the restaurant. And by restaurant, she really meant palace in disguise as a restaurant. The opulence was overwhelming. It was almost like she had walked back hundreds of years in time or stumbled upon Mount Olympus. Nevertheless, it was nothing like she expected. They were sat at a nicely dressed table in a more intimate corner of the room. Had he planned it this way? She doubted it, but it certainly set the mood for romance. Which was what she was really hoping for. Her eyes glanced over the menu placed in front of her, already at a loss as to what she would eat. She couldn't appear a pig and get the hugest thing off the menu! Nor could she prove she was a priss by just ordering a tiny salad. OH THE CONFLICT. As she dealt with the trouble of having to eventually order, she heard Ela speak. She glanced up at him with a smile, again stunned by how handsome he looked. Her heart swelled... she really was head over heels with him, after so little time together. It didn't make any sense to her, and she knew it never will. Her mother had written in her diary that love was complicated and didn't always make sense. But it was one of the most beautiful things in the world. Csilla couldn't agree more.

I don't mind speaking Cretan. It's refreshing to speak it again.” Maybe he didn't love her. But she knew there had to be feelings somewhere behind that icy blue gaze. Why else would he come to South to find her and take her out to a really fancy dinner? And even if it wasn't love yet... she would make him love her. Somehow. “Tell me about you, Elastor.” She smiled, her cheeks pink with the warmth of the room and the warmth filling her heart.

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

Post by Elastor Ito Thu Feb 16, 2012 2:27 am

"Okay," Ela mumbled quietly, too busy ridiculing himself over what he had suddenly blurted out. He was being considerate, but was he not being too considerate? Surely, she would get the wrong idea... This wasn't a business meeting. He was going over the top. She was beautiful and it was distracting him; he couldn't think straight. If she had a problem with speaking Cretan, she would have told him by now. Duh. He frowned and took a deep breath, squinting through his red bangs at the menu that was just a blur of words. Shit. Why was this so hard? Taking a female out to dinner was just that, wasn't it? Certainly it was nothing more or less...? And yet... he felt like the was choking on his own thoughts.

Tell me about you, Elastor. Her voice wafted to him, stealing the weightlessness of a moth's powdery wings and whisking past him. Ela took a deep breath, settling the trillions of passing thoughts with a makeshift dam. However, her partially parted lips broke the flood gates, crystal brown eyes shattering the piled wood. Pink cheeks kept the answer at bay, making his own face nearly feel the heat himself. What was this? He flipped up the menu and ducked slightly behind it, pretending to be preoccupied with one of the terribly foreign words that he pretty much couldn't read anyway. She wanted to know about him? What could he tell? She already knew he was a Royal Guard under Dietrich, that he was obsessively compulsive with his sword, that he hated a man named Takatori, that-- yeah... He couldn't really...say anything else. He sighed softly, looking back at her from around his menu with struggle evident in his azure stare.

"I don't know how to answer that..."

He really didn't. For once, he was at a loss. There was no way to careful answer that question whole expertly dodging all others that followed. If he were to begin now, his life's story would spill out and probably drown them both. It wasn't a dinner conversation. But perhaps her question...didn't pertain to what he was thinking of? Maybe she was thinking more simplistically? That could be the case. But at the same time, if he gave a simple, plain, ordinary answer then maybe that would portray him in a childish manner? He placed the menu lightly down with his palms flat on the table. Looking at her directly, there was nothing to lose, but a perfectly vibrant lady that, at this point, Ela was sure he didn't want to live without. (That didn't factor out the dying alone issue, though; that was something Ela was already smitten with considering his job and thirst for revenge).

"I don't know how to answer that..."

Oh goodness. He didn't know how to answer her statement? She'd left it open and really general because frankly... she wasn't sure what to ask. “I want to know everything” seemed a little frightening. But... that's what she wanted to know. She'd seen Elastor less times than she could count on her fingers, she knew she loved him and yet she knew almost nothing about him. He was Cretan, a Royal Guard (and one of the best) and... he was protective. So very protective. She had learned his favorite color tonight, yet other than these few facts... there was nothing. And you can't really build your future on those few facts. Csilla watched Elastor as he reappeared from behind the menu looking... so incredibly serious. By Hera, what was he about to say??? “I'm married.” “I've got a foot fetish.” The possibilities of horrific answers were endless! She felt herself growing antsy in her seat but managed to keep herself relatively calm as he answered.

"...my favorite flower is a rose?"

Csilla clapped a hand over her mouth, stifling the surprised laugh that bubbled up in her throat. Such dramatics... for that? Oh, thank the gods! Realizing he was looking at her rather strangely, she contained her laughter and placed her hand back in her lap. She smiled brightly at him. “Roses are very pretty. I love spring flowers. Daffodils, tulips, pansies, marigolds... so many bright colors.

She wasn't really allowed to continue as a sharply dressed waiter came over. He gave them a little half-bow, asking ever so politely what they wished to drink and eat for their meal. Csilla gave the menu a quick glancing over again before deciding. “The balsamic sesame chicken with wild rice, please. And for now, just a glass of water.” She wasn't sure if Elastor was planning on going out on all the stops with wine or anything... best to play it safe. She gently handed over her menu to the waiter and glanced at Elastor. She had purposefully ordered something delicious, but filling... while appearing healthy. A perfect impression, maybe? But what would Ela order? Maybe this reprieve by the waiter's appearance would make Elastor relax a little bit more after he had gone again? Favorite flowers was really just the tip of the iceberg.

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

Post by Elastor Ito Fri Feb 24, 2012 11:00 pm

The moment the queried statement left his lips, Csilla threw a hand over her mouth. Ela was struck with mild horror and leaned back slightly, looking the other way to escape embarrassment. It wasn't until he heard what sounded like a swallowed laugh that he turned his head back towards her and blinked steely blue eyes. What could possibly be funny? She...was amused by what he said? But it was the truth--a simple, basic truth about himself that he had decided as the best course of action... He just didn't get it. He opened his mouth to beg for clarification, but shut it when she looked about to--

Roses are very pretty. I love spring flowers. Daffodils, tulips, pansies, marigolds... so many bright colors. Moment passed. Ela was beside himself. He looked at her like a deer in headlights, suddenly placed horrifically outside of his comfort zone. The longer this went on, the harder it would be to hide things about himself. But...wasn't it her intention to uncover those very things he wanted to remain under the ornate tablecloth? He sighed silently and raised his eyes from the perfectly immaculate silverware. So many bright colors? He stifled a snicker.

"I used to--" The waiter walked up, cutting off whatever Ela was about to say, hell, he had thought about it long enough. Equip with an insanely white uniform, he so expertly blew through the ritual questions. Being gentleman, both Ela and the waiter nodded at each other to staringly confirm that Csi go first. Her order was like a move in chess, executed in a way nothing less of what Elastor expected. Not too cheap, not too expensive, healthy on the side of carnivorous. Hm. He placed a hand on his chin in thought and ordered plain spaghetti with cheese on top and a water with a callous smile growing on his lips. How was that response, hm? He scanned Csilla's face for a reaction and then proceeded to order the best red wine on the menu, ravishing in the surprised look of the waiter as he left. "No rush," the redhead finished with a fond look in his blond counterpart's direction. Just a moment's pause transgressed before icy blue eyes skimmed through the distance between them to rest on her. Where were they...?

It was disappointing to completely and utterly forget what one was going to say. Ela felt like taking his sword to himself. It was a sudden spurt of self-let-down. He was stumped and inwardly cursing himself for his lack of attention to the details of his own dialogue. Come on, Ela, he hissed at himself. Maybe a sporadic topic change would be satisfactory? He said the first thing that popped into his head: what he had been meaning to tell Csi anyway. "Did you know I have a sister?"

Csilla was surprised by the simplicity of the meal that Elastor chose. Such a gorgeous restaurant with a mile-long list of delicious morsels... and he ordered spaghetti? Well, add that to the “not so simple” list. She was even more surprised as Elastor ordered probably the most expensive red wine the restaurant had to offer. By Zeus, where was this money coming from? She certainly didn't want him going flat broke just to woo her over. She was of far simpler tastes. His next question to after the waiter left had her staring with slightly widened eyes at him. A SISTER? And he asked as if she might have had an idea? Oh, Aphrodite, open this man's eyes! Luckily the waiter helped her to save face as he returned with the wine. He deftly opened the bottle, pouring a few droplets into Ela's wine glass. She watched him smell the wine, sip it into his mouth and roll it across his tongue. The bouquet must have been very good because Ela managed to look approving as he gave the waiter the nod to serve the wine. As soon as the waiter had departed again, Csilla grabbed at her wine glass and with a tiny raise of the glass to Ela in toast, took a sip.

Oh. Wow. That was... divine. No wonder it was so expensive. And it definitely helped release that small note of confusion in her mind. With a smile she finally responded to Ela (even though it had only been a moment or two since he asked). “No. Will you tell me about her?

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

He was a simplistic guy--sort of. Well, enough of one to order what he did and very much enjoy it. However, its plain taste required the component of wine as did Csi's finesse. He would give her only the best not to woo her, but just because Ela believed that was what she deserved. Why he was doing this was beyond him; the whole situation was mildly confusing, but despite that, he trudged on without a grumble of distaste because actually, he was enjoying it. Strangely, he felt a small smile remain on his lips for more than a few movements of music buzzing in the background. He finished his wine unlike that of a gentleman and realized that it was because he wasn't savoring it, but instead the blond sitting right across from him.

No. Will you tell me about her? She asked, voice inquiring carefully with a welcome smile. He found himself nodding before realizing that he was saying it was acceptable for him to tell her anything minutely about himself beyond the fact that his favorite flower was a rose. ...Why!? Ela bit his lip. He was so screwed.

"Her name is Anouk. She's older and..." Deep breath. Well, he invited her out to dinner because he wanted to tell someone, didn't he? There was no one else to tell. He was sure telling Dietrich would get him fired and any of his coworkers would have a heart attack if he spoke more than a few short phrases to them... It was problem, but...telling someone... "her husband and children were taken from her." Repeating that monster's words cut into his throat, stinging, making him suddenly put down his fork and shove the thought of food far back in his mind where the cobwebs were. "That's why...I have to go after them. I need answers, but I might not come back alive." He looked up from his plate, icy blue eyes boring into the stark brown glitter of the girl's. Please forgive me for this... "I'm sorry. I have to go." He glanced at the time shining through a digital clock on the wall and shot her a nervous smile. Don't hate me. The time for the secret MiW meeting was suddenly bumped up a few hours, alerting his spy who sent him a text just moments ago. Ah, improvising.

Ela's prized white Porsche was parked in the restaurant lot, the stub of the ticket in his pocket. He pulled it out then, placing it lightly on the table with a careful look that said multitudes. "Be careful with my car. I apologize for not being able to drive you back. Money for tolls is in the glove compartment along with the GPS..." He stood up abruptly, whipping out his wallet and looking over his shoulder at her. "I really do like that color..." Elastor paid for their meal up front, but before rushing out, managed a quick farewell, his eyes laced with the steel he needed to survive a solitary raid--the steel required of him to come back alive.

Dark Knights and White Sand Empty Re: Dark Knights and White Sand

"Her name is Anouk. She's older and..." Csilla smiled a little. An older sister? Well... that was nice. It may not bode well for introductions with her later on. Older sisters were rather protective over their baby brothers. She noticed Elastor's deep breath and pause and her smile faltered just the tiniest bit.

"her husband and children were taken from her." She felt a small gasp escape her lips. Taken? Like... killed? Or taken as in taken away? She barely had time to process any of this as he spoke again. This time it took a little longer for the words to register. He was... leaving! NOW. And he... might not come back alive? What??? Csilla automatically felt tears burn at the back of her eyes and she blinked rapidly, trying to keep her tiny smile plastered onto her face. She watched in a daze as he placed his valet stub on the table and paid for dinner. A caress of words that were so simple but held so much underneath. And then he was gone. Just... gone.

Csilla had officially lost her appetite. She felt for all of a moment that it must have been her that caused Elastor to flee. But she knew that wasn't true. Even if she knew little else about Ela, she knew he was one to protect those he cared about. He wouldn't lie about his sister and the terrible things that had happened. But why tonight? She had been so ready to sit here and fall more in love as she learned more about him. But it was just torn away. The waiter came and very gently asked if she was alright. She nodded and asked for the rest of her meal to be wrapped up. The meal was wrapped and she was led to the front of the restaurant where she passed on the ticket stub. The white car was brought around, which allowed her heart to clench anew. He trusted her with... with this. His car. Csilla got in, hooking up the GPS and turning on the radio.

It's time to go home now and I've got an aching head
So I give her the car keys and she helps me to bed
And then I tell her, as I turn out the light
I say, “My darling, you were wonderful tonight
Oh, my darling, you were wonderful tonight”

The tears streamed steadily down her cheek as Csilla drove to Eric Clapton. She thought back to Christmas, which seemed to be ages ago. She had received some new boots... and a ticket to London. Her week in South City was up tomorrow, then it was back to Central. She wasn't sure when she would be able to get some vacation time again. But she did know that she was spending her next vacation in London. She was going to find Elastor and make sure he didn't run away anymore. And as Jim Brickman's Beautiful trailed onto the radio, Csilla smiled through her tears. She wrapped the scarf Elastor had left behind a little tighter around her shoulders, taking in his smell. One day... they would have their happily ever after.

From the moment I saw you
From the moment I looked into your eyes
There was something about you I knew, I knew
That you were once in a lifetime
A treasure near impossible to find
And I know how lucky I am to have you
