The Wind Hides
Removing his hat and stuffing it into his pack, Varod leaped off the bus and looked around, his bag over his shoulder. He'd decided to go visit Resembool for the first time, wanting to get away from Central for a bit. Anywhere was better than his home town, Kanama, anyway. Besides that, he figured a less populated area would be a better place to hide out until the heat died down a little bit. The cops were still looking for him, though Colonel Furor seemed not to care, she'd mentioned those who might.
A little boy came up to him with wide eyes.
"Are you an alchemist sir?" the boy asked, staring at the transmutation circle on his right sleeve.
"Yes, I am, why?" he responded with a small smile, endearing the child not to worry.
"No reason, I was just curious."
The little boy looked passed Varod and began crying.
Looking around, he saw a cat in a tree. You've gotta be kidding me, he thought sighing. Running towards the cat,he leaped into the air and slapped the Transmutation Circle on his sleeve, gaining enough height to snatch the cat from the tree and hand it to the boy who ran off with a "Thank you so much, sir!"
Sighing, Varod plopped down on a bench. "I'm going soft. I just got a cat out a tree. That was a stupid move..." he murmured to himself.

Re: The Wind Hides
A song as any other. A small tour, thanks to her friend, Dimitri. She was capable of visiting new places. Not that Lucrezia minded. After all, she was often fond of meeting new people! New friends were GREAT! The only thing she liked more than new friends was ICE CREAM. OO! Maybe she'd meet a new friend and have ice cream! That would be a perfect day! Her giggly and bubbly smile stayed on her face while she smiled and spoke with a small and sad little girl. Luc pat her on the head and for a good few minutes they shot the breeze. Amestrian was a language that Luc could barely work with, but it was enough for her to have an actual talk with the people. Why Dimitri made her come here, she didn't know, but it was fun!
Her eyes moved to the small girl as she ran off to her brother and a small cat, both vanishing into the night. They spoke of thanks and then off they went, leaving a somewhat disheveled man by himself on a bench. WHAT A HERO! Luc clasped her hands together and smiled brightly before nearly running over to him. Her body wasn't prepared for the sudden stop with her lilac hair swaying upon each slightest movement. Blue eyes filled with joy though she looked as if she'd fall over from the whiplash experienced. Both hands slid behind her back and she took a quick bow. Eagerness; she was happy.
"Uhh H-Helllo!" She stated. Oh here she was- speaking to strangers again. "I-I saw what you did and I wanted to say that was really sweet! You're a great guy, thank you, Mister Hero!" Her hand pumped up in the air and she couldn't help but beam wildly. Of course she looked terribly odd in the way she moved. An overzealous young woman whose skirt swished with the sudden semi-jump of happiness. Yes, Lucrezia the never ending ball of energy was overjoyed that this man had saved a cat from a tree. After that, she was a bit confused on what to say. "My name's Lucrezia! What's you're name, Mister Hero?" Introductions! How did she forget them first? Where were her manners? Shame, Lu, shame!

Varod was about to get up, when a random girl came up to him and called him a hero. He nearly busted out laughing. "Hero, eh? Well, that's something no one's ever called me before. Thanks," he said, managing to keep a straight face. "I'm Varod, it's very lovely to meet you, Lucrezia. Please, don't call me a hero. I'm anything but." Checking his watch, he settled his spear and patted the bench beside him.
"Come, have a seat and talk, I could use a little company, he said with a small smile. "We can be friends. It's been awhile since I made a friend. I'm normally rather shunned, to tell ya the truth. So, Madam Lucrezia, what is your story exactly? I'm just curious as to who I'm entertaining."
Pulling out two apples, he bit into one and offered her the other. Want one?

This man seemed kind enough and humble too! He explained he was no hero- BUT HE WAS! Then he spoke of how wonderful it was to meet her. Lucrezia couldn't help but turn a bit red in the cheeks. This attention was making her blush! As well, this man was certainly kind enough to save a cat which made him many a good marks in her book. She liked him! Her eyes showed it and the way her face lit up proved it. As he offered a seat she could only graciously oblige and plopped down next to him. A smile never ended on her face and a sort of pleasant energy about her in general. She enjoyed his company already!
She seemed only further happy when he said they could be friends. Lucrezia almost squealed in happiness. Nothing did she like more than friends! Well, maybe there were but at the moment there was nothing she liked more. Her face beamed and her lips moved to speak but he had questions. One of which offered a gift. Lucrezia didn't decline and in fact took the apple rather cheerfully. A swift bite filling her mouth with the subtle and tender fruit. She may have not liked her veggies but fruit was a sure thing. Sweet stuff was always able to sit in her stomach and the apple sure soothed her slightly sore throat as well. Singing did that to her once in a while.
He'd asked her for a story. "Uhmm. What is my story? I like Cinderella.. I'd have to say." She'd say taking the context completely wrong. Indeed, Lucrezia was going about that response all wrong. As to who he was entertaining. She thought he was asking her name again. Did he have memory problems too?! That made her happy. A finger moved to point to herself. "You're entertaining me, remember, Lucrezia!" She giggled, trying to be helpful. "Thank you for the apple!" She said happily, having then reached out and taken her second bite.

Varod laughed, smiling endearingly at her. "Yes, I remember your name. And I wasn't looking for what stories you liked, I wanted to know your personal story. I wanna know Lucrezia. I'll start with my story... Long story short, I was an orphan, took to stealing, found some alchemy books, got chased by the cops, and now I'm looking for something to do with my life." This woman seemed to idolize him, so he didn't mind sharing who he was with her, as maybe she'd be able to help him. Mind, it could have been a bad idea. "You may have heard of me. The Free Runner Alchemist, The Wind of Change? At least, that's what people have taken to calling me. Maybe it's because wherever I go I make something happen." He was rambling at this point. Not usual for him, he smiled slightly at her, looking for signs that he'd said something off, just in case.

The free runner alchemist? Her brain processed. "Uhmm.. SHOULD I know you?" she asked with her eyes pulled in a upturned grin. Her bright air moving slightest in the wind and her hands holding her to the bench. Her legs swung boredly while her obvious ADD was there. A passing butterfly grasping her attention and letting her follow its sight before she turned back to this man and grinning. "Name doesn't seem familiar. Do you do alchemy that deals with running? OH! Are you an Olympic runner?! I KNOW A CELEBRITY!!" Yes, this excited her greatly, the fact she met someone who was famous. So much joy. That was a good thing, right? She paused her excitement as if that was magically possible.
Was knowing someone known widely a good thing? Hrmmm.. Her lower lip poked out and her brow furrowed. Classic thinking position as she debated on the thought long and hard. It was something she would have to think over. After all, she wasn't too sure. Famous was good or was infamous good? In famous seemed like it was good but famous seemed right by the way it clicked in her mind. Infamous Infidel.... there she was those had to relate, now was he famous or infamous. He had said he was known for doing things- WAIT did that mean he was-? "W-Wait! You're-you're a villain?!" She stammered from her mind process. Yes.. from hero to zero in a matter of seconds. Lu's imagination was wild.
