Bright lights and collage towns.
This is why i LOVE collage towns!! Standing amid a tide of closely packed body's bronze waded through them like a god among.....fellow gods. It was an exhilarating feeling, being so close to so much energy....and if he hadn't already been as high as a kite, it wouldn't have taken long for him to get there. He wore his standard show attire, A bronze and black suit laced with intricate patterns of neon. Glancing around he once again found the stage, his crew setting up for another performance but thankfully he was personally done for the night. This gave him the time he needed and wanted to just....relax...talk....and dance.
It felt odd being one of the oldest people in the crowed, but honestly, what did age matter when your having fun? Still....he couldn't help but think back to his youth....and all the things he had seen and done and smile. i certainly was one craaazy kid... That crazy kid happened to turn into one craazy adult with a country spanning reputation as the go to guy for party and event planing....In short he had turned into his parents. Which isn't a bad thing to be.... reaching into one of his pockets he pulled out a little tablet and quickly popped it into his mouth. The effects where almost immediate, a slow lazy smile crossed his face. Yet he seemed able to move quicker through the crowed his now drug addled mind better able to predict the unpredictable movement of the crowed.
As he moved he created a small personal light show that hummed in the air above the congregated students, the rainbow of light beat and shifted in time to the thrumming music. Its form whirling like the mind of the man who had created it making his illusions reality for the briefest of moments. Finlay, after what seemed like an eternity he made it to the edge of the crowd, where he slumped against a wall and let his eyes wonder the sweating mass of people. "Dance my lights! Dance!! His gaze turned almost feverish as he stood there and tears misted his eyes."Its...so beautiful...the light's, the people...its all so dazzling..." Suddenly the song drew to a melodic end...and the lights he had created fizzled into nothing.... I love endings... a new song started...something new and interesting...something he couldn't remember hearing. Almost as much as i love new beginnings...

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
A woman of high affluence within the town was an officer of service. It seemed ever so slowly her attention would stir to see some sort of commotion. In a sort of dazed reaction it seemed she found that a large group of people had gathered to see some sort of performance but at this time of night? She was skeptical.
Nevertheless she saw this large group as a loud and noisy nuisance. If they could snap her from her daydreams, then there were far too loud. Were there no officers working? How pathetic! With an annoyed scoff, Deity would pull her hair out o her turtleneck and walk over; addressing a man who had some rather bright lights. He spoke something, but it was a bit hard to understand and in some other language. She'd have to look into more and it was obvious the man was not from around here.
Reaching out, her hand gripped his wrist or attempted to. The light show needing to cease. "Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to stop." She would ask in Amestrian. It seemed that it was the most common language, so it would be her first attempt to make contact. Her brown eyes were upon his body with a gentle but seemingly mean gaze. As usual, Deity seemed lie she hated the world and in a way she did. Following her job was making sure people do their jobs, but she was still an officer.

Ecstasy!! A wave of pleasure raced up his arm as some one touched him lightly on the arm. He closed his eyes and the slowly....opened them to look into a face full of anger.....and something else he couldn't identify. Blinking he let out a small sigh and let his hands fall to his side." But officer...A party needs a light show..." He looks her up and down smiling slightly"And speaking of party's....this ones only just starting...and im sure we need some "policing" He stands up a little straighter and dusts off his cloths."In fact im sure we coul do with some of that around here...you know how collage kids get!" He let out a soft laugh, his eyes creasing in pure enjoyment.
"And hey...you might just find your self having a little bit of fun!!" This woman looked like she needed it, all pent up aggression and stress....she looked like a person who took them self way to seriously....who looked at life and saw nothing but a crucible, not the exciting and fun filled experience that it was truly meant to be."My names Marcus Degan by the way, but you can call be Bronze, every one else does!"He smiles again and offers her his hand, bronze rimmed eyes locked with hers."We both need to loosen up some it seems"

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
Deity would nod and then sigh softly. These damn people were irritating Deity. After all, she didn't like conversing with strangers. She didn't like having to do this sort of work. It wasn't really her specified job. However she still had to do it. It had to be done whether by her or not. The man before her said they needed security basically and Deity would press her palm to her forehead. Was this man for real? Did he seriously just ask her to help them when they were disrupting her night? How absurd! Oh well she couldn't help but let of a scoff before turning to take in his appearance better. It wasn't like he looked older. In fact he looked kind of young compared to most performers but Deity didn't really care. After all, she was a bit surprised he knew Cretan, but that was a plus for her to speak her native tongue.
"Security? For such a disruptive event? Are you some kind of joker?" She'd shake her head in distaste. "My job is not to have fun. my job is to keep you hooligans from destroying the peace I work hard to create." Crossing her arms over her chest she'd throw her face away from his as i she'd play a game of hard to get with a man whom she had interest in. This was far from the case though. Her eyes were upon Marcus as she stiffened. "You may call me Sergeant Silver." An almost amusing thought crossed her mind but her rather stoic face remained unchanged. "I must ask you cease on the light show. You are disrupting the sleep of some of the residents!"

He lets the lights fade, the smile leaving his face, and a look of deep hurt entering his eyes. Shes..Cold...but maybe..under the ice princess.....theres something else? As soon as it had entered his eyes, the hurt vanished, to be replaced with something almost like glee. Well it'll be fun to find out now wont it? He laughed a little then, a warm and gentle sound, almost childish in its glee."Well Sargent...now that the light disturbance is taken care of...what do you say you help me "patrol the perimeter" for more wrong doers?" He winked, not knowing what response she would give but hoping for a positive one.
It had been a long time sense he had actually had to try and connect with some one, in most cases hed flash a smile, make a joke and off they would go, discussing things big and small, but mostly small. It was a talent he had, and one he enjoyed and tried not to abuse more then was necessary. But every once in a while he found someone who was resistant to his god given charms, and in his experience it was those people you should befriend....or baring that, at least get acquainted with.

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
Deity would stare at the man a bit. Had he... winked at her? Was he flirting? She was a bit baffled and in response her brow would furrow. How was one to figure out how to deal with that kind of a situation. When was the last time a man talked to her outside of work? She really couldn't be so sure. It almost amused her if not make her cautious. Those eyes a bit wary upon him while he smiled brightly. How quick the hurt had fled and replaced with this new and playful attitude. In a way, Deity was reminded of a puppy dog. She couldn't help but have a muscle spasm at the corner of her lips. Yes, she had to fight the smile.
He wanted her to patrol with him. Her mind said no but as soon as she opened her mouth to reject him, a yes fell from her lips. In response she would stare, a bit startled at the crowd. Since when did her body disobey her like that? It seemed she had no choice now and would resign to a nod. "Alright, but nothing more. I don't have the time to waste." She'd state coolly before straightening her turtleneck and looking around. Where was a good place to start? She would wonder as the crowd bustled excitedly. A sigh from her lips while she looked away from him, avoiding that sting o emotion.

He saw the spasm at the corner of her mouth and his own smile grew wider. Was that a smile?...maybe this wont be as hard as i first thought. Her body language hadn't changed in the slightest...in fact he thought she may have tensed up even more. Or maybe not...but any reaction is a good reaction at this point... The fact that she agreed to go...kinda caught him off guard, he had prepared a "speech" in the likely event she turned him down...but having her agree like that, and seemingly against her own will...well that wasn't something he had prepared for. Time to improvise...
He glanced around quickly then nodded "I think we should start at the bar....Most students don’t know how to hold there liquor...and i can see that ending badly"He started to move off slowly glancing back to make sure Silver was fallowing behind, And well trying to catch her eye."So Ms.Silver, what is a Sargent in the Createn military doing patrolling a collage campus? Almost seems like a waste of your skills." Start off slow Bronzey....don't wanna scare her off. How slowed down some to let her catch up, then turned his gaze back to the destination at hand...and the sea of people between him and it. Now to clear the way.... Weaving his hands together he made his light appear at about chest level and people Immediately stepped away from it clearing a path to there destination.

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
Deity instantly regretted her decision to join him. It seemed he was a flirtatious type and yet she would not reprimand him and instead would pretend not to notice. Tonight was a one time thing. It would go no further than the patrolling. After all, Deity knew better than to get attached to people. They would seem to understand her but too soon they failed her. They would once again leave her in the dust of her depression. She would be alone again, all too soon. Her mind was a bit boggled from her depressing thoughts, however as he finished speaking she would focus her attention and nod. What had he said? She felt rude, but she really just stopped caring since people were so two dimensional. It seemed out of sheer instinct she responded.
"I'm constantly around. This may be a waste of time to some, but crime can be anywhere." She would state in a serious tone. Her eyes narrowed while she cleared her throat and looked away. Sighing she'd almost blush at the unintended compliment. At least she assumed it was unintended. Deity was nothing more than a basic foot soldier after all. His little light show allowed them to pass through and earned an odd glance from Deity. What was he doing? If he had such control over the party why didn't he just take responsibility himself? Bah.. She'd shrug it off and simply follow him if only to learn more of this unique individual. "By the way, it's Miss not Ms. Ms. makes me sound old." In response she'd scrunch her nose. Yes she had a personality under her shell, it was just one rarely shown.

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
It was fairly cool night, the sky was clear, and the crowd was once again swaying rhythmically to the hypnotic music that was coming from the stage.Bronze swayed sightly as he walked, every few steps glancing over and watching the woman's face. She showed vary little emotion, but he guessed that was to hide some sort of inner pain....or she was a heartless bitch. Oddly enough, he found that ether one appealed to him at that moment...for what ever reason, he wanted to...something.i cant put a word to it....how...odd.... Being at a loss of words was an odd feeling, usually he could just keep talking no matter the circumstance. Well he was a person who loved new experience and this was no different...just a little odder then what he was used to.
He smiled, she cared about the people of her city it seemed, more so then most other officers, it was a pleasant and welcome surprise."Well im glad to see you taking your job so seriously, most officers i see couldn't care one way or another what happened to people." In fact Bronze had exploited that fact more then once... bribing his way into places he shouldn't be, getting information from corrupt officials via black mail...He was glade to see that not every one was corrupt."It really is a breath of fresh air, just to get permission to proform i had to grease more then a few palms..."
He stopped in front of the open bar and looked at Deity. "Well then miss silver, would you care for some sort of a drink? I hear this place caters to all sorts of tastes and it would be my honor to buy you what ever your heart desires" He offers her a deep and elegant bow, his eyes not leaving hers."In fact i may have to insist, You look a little thirsty and we cant have that" He winks as he rises, almost dancing as he stands in place.

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
Deity would nod in a knowing way. "Well in my position it is or me to take care of such people. I you ever have names you would like taken care of, come speak with me or my boss." Her eyes would lock upon his as the truthful glint in them would shine. Was she bribing him? Was she being corrupt? Perhaps, but she wasn't going to fight it. Her job was her job. Officers who took bribes should be gone. After all such a slight of eye might cause a death in her country. Though technically it was Lord Dietrich's, but she was a part of it. She wouldn't let such things endanger her people. She would do her best to help them and save them.
"Some officers are disgusting. They will do anything for a little extra money even though they already get paid so well." Deity would state with her voice flooding the annoyance of her thoughts. How could people be so greedy? Then again.. she was one to talk. She wanted nothing more than freedom from her parents and that wasn't going to happen. At least she couldn't see it happening. As much as she wished it could happen it wouldn't. Her heart lurched a moment at the realization and depression flooded her veins. The cold feeling submersing her in a general feeling of being upset.
Washing it away, she glanced at him as he offered her a drink. What could it hurt? She supposed one wouldn't be so bad. Her eyes would close and her lips pursed while the scent of people hit her nostrils and filled them. "Alright.. but no funny business." Daggers shot at the man in the form of brown irises. The pupils cutting into him. She was a bit uncomfortable and untrusting and of course knowing her life, one realllyy couldn't blame her. At least she was letting him converse with her. This was as far as Deity had gotten in years. Adjusting her black miniskirt, she would look at him a moment with almost stern eyes before she looked away and made way to a seat.

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
It was almost as if some one from on high had shined a light on them, or at least that's how it felt to Bronze. At least she knows how to take care of business....thats something you've got to respect. He liked the aura of this sad woman, the way she voiced her opinion...it was a great and refreshing change of pace. His eyes locked with hers as she spoke and he saw the distrust there, the past pain. All he could do was smile sadly and nod. What could have casued this intense pain? This mistrust? He didn't voice his thoughts instead laughed a little and lifts his hands into the air"Yes Ma'am no funny business at all! I wouldn't even think of it!" Winking at her as she turns and finds a table he couldn't help but admire her figure as she walked and let out a low whistle. "That is one fine woman.."
He turns towards the bar and makes his slow way there smiling at the man behind it, serving drinks to the students congregated around him.....and then it hit him...he for got to ask what she wanted to drink!!! Well shes a hard woman...maybe...something hard?...but shes on duty as well...soo maybe something a little on the fruity side Turning to the bar man he said almost yelling "Ill have two Rainbow Fizz's!" The bartender gives him a thumbs up then a few minutes later hands him two multicolored and sparkling drinks.
He made his way back to the waiting woman, weaving expertly in between the dancing body's. When he reached her he lightly touched her shoulder and offered her one of the drinks and bent close to her ear so she could hear him with out yelling"Sorry for the wait! The line was longer then i expected.....and i didn't know what you wanted sooo....i got us each one of these"He moves back around the table and sits down taking a drink"There odd looking but good..a friend of mine turned me on to them" He laughed again his eyes never leaving her.

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
A reaction from the man was on a minor scale. Though it wasn't something major; it showed he was listening. His face was sad though and it almost made her feel guilty.. almost. It wasn't like she was spilling her life story to him. What did he know about her? Nothing at all, as far as she knew. At least he agreed to the no funny business. She didn't like people, they tried underhanded things so often. Especially within the force it was worse. She never knew who she could trust and at times she found not even herself was a reliable person. Truly mankind were fickle.
her hips naturally swayed as she maneuvered through the crowd. A couple men had blocked her way in attempts to 'talk' to her, but the cold woman would simply brush through them with a quick "Excuse me." Her eyes poured upon the target. The men continued to pester her to the seat until she finally found her place and shot them a glare. "You are out of your league. Get lost." She'd state. Her brown orbs piercing through the narrow slits she allowed. The men snorted and stated something insulting before chuckling and walking off. To most it would seem something to be offended by, but Deity simply pushed it of of her mind. Her mind off thinking about work as usual. She was never good with relaxing.
Slowly, she would cross her legs for a more feminine posture. Her cheek and chin would rest in the curve of her left palm as her eyes were downcast in thought. What was she even doing here? She could never relax. She hated being in a situation that made her think. Just as she began to feel a tinge of excitement, her eyes snapped wide open. A voice brushed on her ear and she'd shout in surprise. The man, catching her off guard, would witness Deity half falling out of her seat. A slight blush on her face as the embarrassment sat in after a moment. She had never done something so silly before and yet here she was with an emotion on her face. Emotions.. were so annoying.. they pained her. Blinking a bit, she would pull herself up in a fixed posture and take the cup he offered. "Thank you. It should do well."

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
Bronze tactfully ignored her jumpiness, well mostly. An amused light entered his eye but that was all, he didn't think that offering to help would win him any points...so he kept his hands to him self....well mostly. As she resumed hi siting posture he moved his free hand a little closer and as he spoke to her touching lightly to illustrate a point. "so what do you think of the party so far? Not as many fights as you might have thought" He looks away for a second glancing over the party goers."Though that amount of drug use is staggering..." All of a sudden the beast came upon him, the urge, the need, the want to take any of his drugs of choice...his mind screamed at him...and as he watched he cringed a little. Grimacing he looked away and forced his eyes to focus on the woman whose company he currently enjoyed. You've dealt with worse then this...so man up!
So man up he did, with a mental kick he managed to shrug the need off for a moment and he refocused on Deity. He would not be owned by his addiction!! He would control it and indulge in it when he chose. It was the first time in a long while he hadn't gave into his beast...his craving and it astounded him that this situation would be the one to make him do it. He had been here hundreds of times before...not this exact situation but ones close to it. Him talking to a woman who had caught his eye, getting to know her, and she him...and maybe if he was lucky......He caught him self looking Silver up and down and he knew...that she knew he was checking her out, a blush jumped to his cheeks...Im....Im...blushing!!!! The realization made him sputter and spill some of his drink onto his pants"So....sorry my mind was wondering there for a second " Did i just stutter? He was dumb founded...he was acting like a 16 year old boy who had never flirted with a girl before, not a 28 year old man who had explored most of the secrets of the female body. With a deep breath he cleared his mind....and he started laughing, deep happy laughs that almost brought tears to his eyes, the kind of laughter that was infectious and seemed to spread."So...sorry! I must look ridicules! Sound ridicules!" He smiled again and then reached up and brushed his hair from his eyes. "I dont know what it is but for some reason you just make me want to smile!" He felt alive!! With out his drugs...with out his fix he actually felt alive!!
Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
Deity nodded to the man but at the physical touch it felt like she was struck by lightning. Panic covered her nerves as she was not used to foreign touch. Most contact made with her was initiated by herself. That was when she had to attack or apprehend others. The life of a police officer was an annoying one. The look in her eyes a bit distant as she would simply turn her head to think. How annoying those dark spots were when she was so deep in thought and she didn't even know about what. That mindless moment was something she simply could never recall. That was frustrating to her. Just pointless wandering to ever be remembered.
As he moved and seemed to stare at her, Deity looked away. Was he..no.. not this oblivious man. He seemed to oblivious.. though maybe that was his game. Was it all a ruse? It was suspected in the first place but was it truly what was going on? Her eyes stared at a crowd of romping men and women. Her hand soon tipping to her lips to allow liquid to flow through. It tasted a bit fruity and was nice, but how much alcohol did it contain? How worried she felt suddenly. What if this was a trap. Paranoia ate at her. After all, she did come from a rather wealthy and somewhat renowned family.
Her eyes would be cast away as she sipped the drink and closed her eyes. Stop staring at me.. please. She would beg, feeling awkward. At last he would beg an apology and stutter then spill his drink on his pants. Deity slapped her forehead when turning to look at him. A brow arched before she slipped a soft laugh. It was nearly inaudible but the twitch of a smile hugged her lips. "Sir, have you been drinking tonight?" Her dry humor came with a straight face as she would take another swallow before setting down the alcohol and sighing. "Let me get you a napkin."
Standing up and wandering about, Deity finally found the napkins upon a small table nearby. Leaning forward, she was jostled while she reached and handily grabbed at the white paper. Her hands clinging before she managed to make her way back to the man. Offering the napkins to him, she would twitch her nose and look rather serious. Of course that was nothing new for her. "How old are you, anyways?" She would ask in a curious and sincere tone. He didn't look that old, but looks were always deceiving. Was she drinking with a minor? She sure hoped not.

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
He was drinking as she asked him how old he was...and Bronze almost chocked....How...how old am I?!!! He knew he looked a little on the younger side and he some times acted like a kid.....But he always thought he maintained some sort of masculine dignity through out all his escapades. Maybe im fooling my self by thinking that....Was it a bad thing that he acted immature? He knew he wasn't like that all the time, and it seemed to make people smile and have a better time when he was with them....And it had managed to get a laugh from some one he knew didn't laugh often. All in all its worth it...better to be immature then overly serious... He knew he could possibly find a middle ground but....that wasn't him....and it never would be.
He thanked her for the napkin then, and realized...she was uncomfortable with something...the way she sat and shifted her waight...Maybe i shouldn't stare so intently.. With that in mind he turned towards the crowd and relaxes in his chair."Im 28, i may not look it but i swear its on mu I.D.!" He laughs at that and glances back over at her.I know its not right to ask a lady her age...but fair is fair!" He winks at her then and turns back to watch the collage kids go about there dancing.
He continues to drink and absently he creates his lights, letting them run up and down his fingers and the back of his hands."Im glad i decided to stop off here on my way to carraig, the party's are always so intense...and you always meet the most interesting people, but that's travel for ya." He turns back to Silver and rest his elbows on the table."You been any where interesting with the military? I hear you get to all sorts of interesting locals."

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
Deity seemed to eye his response. Despair fell from him in an obvious way and she couldn't help but look rather amused. It seemed she had offended him slightly but the way he reacted was simply hilarious to her. His temporary silence followed by his thanks would hit her ears and leave Deity simply a bit confused on where to take the subject. She wasn't used to conversing with others and in a way she felt... shy. She wanted to know more about him and why he was even out here, but that question was soon answered. He had been headed somewhere else?
The man moved and sat in his chair acing away from her. At least he wasn't taring now, that made her feel better, though the wink.. she could do without. that was something she didn't understand, she didn't flirt or even interact with men, really. This was the first time in a long time she had time to spare with a person other than her bosses. Even then it wasn't really much, it was more of just a fleeting pass off of paperwork. Like a game of baton, she had to give what she worked on at the end of the day to a man she rarely interacted with. At least it kept her mind off of worldly feelings and pains.
He asked a couple questions and Deity would sigh. Yes, her age. It was only fair that she gave it to him, but she always felt rather crappy stating it. She felt almost.. old. "Hm? Old enough." She'd state in an ALMOST playful tone, but the dryness of her humor killed it. How she slaughtered humor, but then again she was so insecure and depressed inwardly, it didn't matter. She sighed a bit and shifted, uncomfortable with herself again. "I'm 28 as well. And as for travel, I don't get to go much. My job is specific for Creta, really. If you want adventure stories, ask my sister."

Was that flirting.....I cant honestly tell with this woman.... He had backed off some and that seemed to confuse her even more then him comeing on strong.....How to go about this....shes so hard to read! He thought back to past experience's, to women kinda like the one he sat with.....and none of them where...this calculating?"Old enough hmm? I can say im older if ya want!" He smiles slightly and finish's his drink and motions to a waitress for more. As she talks a little about her sister....he couldn't help but hear a little bit of bitterness in her voice. Avoid that topic...for now...
It was sad...she had never gone and seen the world...never lived life on the run....It was more then a little sad. He didn't let any of these thoughts cross his face."Well you should think about it sometime, every one needs to see some of the world some time in there life...and why not do it when your young and beautiful?" Hell he had been traveling sense before he was born and he was better for it, even if he was affiliated with Gele, he saw every people as his own...he belonged to two nations...and one knew no borders.
He was easily lost in his memory's, and it took him a second to snap out of his momentary day dream. For those few seconds though his thoughts where plain on his face, every little emotion showing.God i hate when that happens.."Sorry about that...i spaced a little bit." He rubs the back of his head and looks over as fresh drinks are brought to the table and quickly grabs his and takes a few swallows letting the liquid calm him some."Sooooooo...." He looks to the dance floor then leans close"We should go patrol the dance floor..." He smiles "But to do that we must blend in...or they may see us coming and stop there nefarious behavior!" With a wink he stands up and offers Deity his hand.

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
Nursing her alcohol she would finish her glass and sigh contently. It tasted wonderful on her lips. Drinking wasn't something that Deity did often, but when she did, she always found it to be depressing. Perhaps it was the company she was with, but this time, she felt rather pleased. She was warm and fuzzy inside, but alcohol had that natural burning affect. Her glass empty, Deity would put it back down upon the table before smoothing out her shirt and staring at Bronze. What an odd man he was. He had joked about saying he was older, most likely he wasn't. Deity had just turned 28 and she could almost see the number lingering over her head. She hadn't accomplished much most Cretans had in that time. there was no family, no marriage, no divorce, no children. All she had was her career and though that's what she wanted, it was a lonely one.
Her depression knew no bounds. There was not even anyone she could talk to. With a family of unreasonable expectations and it left her in shambles. She could never rise to those levels, why should she even try? It would be a long time before she simply left though, as her parents surrounding her prevented her from even leaving. They threw money around like confetti when it came to the precious jewel of the Silver family. She wasn't even allowed to stay on the front-lines of the military force, instead she was internal affairs. Deity made it so that she could try the harder sides of town, despite the objections. After a talking with them, it was the compromise made.
Her spacing out barely caught the compliment and in result she would blush faintly. Looking away she took a shaky breath. Nervous... why did she feel so nervous? It must have been that she didn't talk with people much. His offer to the dance floor made her hesitate. And answer.. she needed one, but what would it be? Before she could think properly, her hand reached out and grabbed it. Was this because of her need for social interaction? Was this an attempt to reach out one last time? His smile was breath taking, but she had control and only a slight twitch of her lip betrayed her emotions. This was an odd night indeed. "Alright."

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
He felt her hand in his and....his heart didn't skip a beat, his soul didn't soar, and his pulse didn't race. It was odd...he had been in this position any number of times, with any number of different women, and in all those cases his heart raced, and his soul soared..But this time, this time it was different on some fundamental level. In some ways it scared him..because all he felt was relived. Relived that she wanted to dance but most of all relived that she hadn't rebuffed him.
It was odd, he had to try harder to get a smaller reaction from this woman then he did with others...yet he hadn't moved on to easier pray. Was it the thrill of the hunt? Maybe...but he felt that it was something more...something more profound then wanting to get into this woman's pants. But i bet shes a WIILLDD ride He helped her to her feet and clasped her hand just tightly enough to be reassuring before he dragged her onto the dance floor. He looked ahead at the DJ and flashed him some colors, soon after the music changed, to something deep and full of bass and need. He spun to face Deity eyes glittering with glee, then he begins to dance pulling silver with him, dancing slowly to match the time of the music.
He didn't understand what it was about her....but they way she masked what she thought...what she felt....It drove him mad! Everything about her was shrouded and unclear, but that made this situation all more intriguing. Once while they danced when they where close he manged to whisper in her ear. " You are one hell of a mystery miss silver!" He laughed as they parted and he lost him self in her eyes and the music. Finally the song ended and he slowly came to a stop panting lightly."Well i didn't see anything odd..." He laughed again still holding on to Deity as if they where dancing."How about you?"

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
The moment was not something that memorable for her. There was no exciting moment, no excitement, simply an interest. Was this man going to seriously lead her onto the dance floor? Was this what it was like to have a friend? Her heart skipped a bit as she was simply happy to have someone who didn't use her only for money or simply avoided her because of how she was. This man knew very little on her, so how could he simply want her money? The Silvers were a wealthy family, but they weren't famous to anyone but some places in Creta. His body half dragged hers onto the playing field and immediately the young woman panicked. When was the last time she had danced? She had two left feet after all.
The song played and Deity attempted her best dancing as she would worry if she was even doing right. Insecurities, worries.. how they plagued her poor mind! She couldn't control herself or even concentrate as she constantly bumped into other people or stepped on someone's feet. Yeah, she lacked grace. Even though she was well practiced in manners and rules, her dancing skills were obviously lacking. After the song was done, she looked rather angrily at her feet and huffed.
His breath tickled her ear as he spoke of her being a mystery. A sort of odd tickle fell through her body; head to toe. That was new to her, she liked it and hated it at the same time. This new feeling was something she didn't know how to deal with, it made her feel conflicted. He seemed to like to get a bit close to her and once the song had ended, he was panting and out of breath. Deity couldn't help but laugh softly, a smile slipping on her face. She couldn't catch it. It wasn't that hard of a song to dance to and yet he was panting as if he was simply exhausted. It was an amusing thought. His words made her frown once more as she scanned the building. She forgot they were supposed to be patrolling.
A pause before she spoke, "Seems clear to me." She would nod as she walked back and sat on the table, looking off with an embarrassed tint to her reddened cheeks. Yes, she expected people to make fun of her horrible dancing skills.

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
The night seemed to slow to a crawl, during that one brief moment when she smiled and laughed. It was at that moment, that second, when his heart lurched. Her smile....lights up the room...its a shame that its not seen more often. Truly it was odd...a simpler gesture he couldn't think of but that smile.....that smile mad him long to hold her, to comfort her. Why! Why am i thinking this way? I just met her....I just met her.. He repeated this in his head over and over again, but it didn't matter. He couldn't convince him self to back off, to leave, to excuse him self from the situation....His lack of self control had come back to bite him in the ass more then once... hopefully that wouldn't be the case this time.
He could tell she was embarrassed, for once it was obvious and he thanked what ever gods there where for that. He fallowed her from the dance floor walking just a little but behind...Just so he could watch the sway of her hips.He laughed slightly a grin crossing his features,"I was kidding...I just used the patrolling the dance floor as an excuse to get you to dance with me....and im glad i did!" He shook his head some and laughed a little more."Its an experience i might just have to have again tonight"
He stood in front of her completely relaxed...and released he didn't know her first name, She had introduced her self as Sargent Silver....Silver...had he heard that name before? It tickled the back of his mind but he didn't think it was of any importance. "I just remembered something....I never got your first name!!" He smiled playfully and leaned on the table next to her."And if you dont care to tell me..." He leaned in close so just she could hear him "We could make a game of it, you could whisper clues in my ear that might help me solve one part of your mystery! Or i could just guess the night away, you telling me if im right or wrong! Or...we could steal away into the night not caring what mystery's surround us or where are steps may take us....and make an adventure of the rest of the night" He chuckled some then looking her in the eye."If you where to choose that last option well...you wouldn't even have to tell me your name....you could just be Nox, lady of the night."

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
This man had an odd energy about him. A strong energy that seemed to beckon to her to be closer. Would she? She wasn't sure. Like a deer, she was cautious and uncertain. Was this man some sort of hunter? Would he hurt her if she did get close to him? Was he just waiting to get close to her to break her heart or simply make her cry? Well he would be disappointed. Deity didn't cry in front of others. Her heart was hardened away from most people. There was no real way to reach her and yet....
How she hoped her paranoia was wrong. She wanted to be closer to him, even as his body seemed to near hers and his breath tickled her ear again, she wanted more. That odd warmth, that comfort of knowing someone was there.. paying attention to her. For a brief moment she knew she was important and she was alive. So long it was simply her trying to kill herself, but at this moment she felt as i her life had meaning. She couldn't help but shudder her breath a slight hiccup in regulation. Her hands moved to press herself backwards upon the table as her eyes stared at him widely. Red tinted her cheeks as her heart hammered, perhaps only from the still loud music booming in her very soul.
He admitted to only wanting to dance with her and a tinge of anger and amusement. Her eyes closed and she would smile softly, barely. He wanted her name? Well wasn't he such an interesting man! Her body showed a bit of mischievous playfulness but smothered with her usual uncomfortable sternness. "My name?" She'd laugh, still blushing from his words. He just wanted to sweep her off her feet, but she wouldn't let it happen. Her head turned and stuck up in the air, snobby by acting. "Hmph! What do you think my name is?" She'd ask in a rather curious demeanor. Of course she wasn't being mean, she was just interested what he would come up with and in all truth, she liked the closeness he was providing.

What a surprise!! She was playing with him, joking with him....It brought a smile to his face, warm and welcoming. Her body seemed hummed in tune to his and as he reached out to lay his hand on hers, it felt as if a spark jumped between them. It seemed like it took a life time for his hand to reach hers, it took but a heart beat in reality..but that heart beat stretched on into eternity. During this eternity he noticed things, felt things he might other wise have missed. Her eyes where alive and sparked with energy, his heart had finally began to skip and his pulse to race. Ohh how he felt....and saw and heard, truly it was a rush more so then any drug he had ever taken, and at once her knew he was hooked. Finally his hand reached hers and the wave the went threw his body put the past moments to shame. For a second he just rode the wave, feeling the quickening of his pulse and hers. "Well then...ill name you Lupa, the great huntress, or maybe Alexandra the conqueror...but are any of these names worthy? "
He grinned and slowly came closer to her laughing slightly at what he said. Could i be more corny? my guess would be no....but my wits have already fled me so i might as well jump head in."Ohh i sound like an idiot....but truthfully i cant think of any name suiting you." He blushed then not knowing what else to say.....once again at a loss for words!
He lets out a small sigh and shakes his head, wondering how she continually brought him to this point. Small wonder he had grown infatuated in the short time they had spent together. He watched her face and could nearly feel the rise and fall of her chest as he sat there next to her. Suddenly it was like he couldn't control himself...and he leaned in slowly and kissed her, gently, urgently and full of passion.

Re: Bright lights and collage towns.
Deity couldn't help but hold her breath as his body moved forward. The feel of his heartbeat was heavy on her senses and almost to the tune of the pounding music. Excitement ran through her body and took her chest with it's cruel hand. She wasn't sure how to cope with it. His hand took hers and a moment would pass with such a confusing emotion raging through her body. What was the conflicting feeling? Why did she enjoy this closeness? How frustrating it was to her. After all, she'd never really felt anything so intense. perhaps it was the alcohol, perhaps this man had just slid through her defenses by some miracle. She had no clue which it would be, but she wasn't about to stop it now. Her body felt a strange stirring within her whole being that made her tingle.
He spoke in such a way that made her heart flutter in her chest. She felt light headed and dizzy. Such simple words that made her feel warm and fuzzy inside. That of course could still be the alcohol. Something she didn't use very often. This was the specific reason she avoided it. He spoke of names and such flattery! Was he even from this century? It seemed he spoke like an older man, but he was only 28, just like her. Did people even woo others like he was doing? At least that's what she felt. A blush was on his face.. or was that the lighting? The way the lights danced made it possible.
As she opened her lips to speak, but just as she did, his mouth was on hers. The bright brown eyes were wide in her head as she recoiled backwards a bit, yet didn't pull away. Her heart felt as if the beating had ceased, the moment slow and lighting firing rapidly through her body. It almost felt as if she'd explode. A red brighter than any before her. Instinctively she pressed her head forward and returned the kiss for a moment before breaking it. how long had it been since her lips were graced by another? The taste of booze still lingered on her curves as well of the sensation of his skin. What was that feeling in her chest? "M-My name is Deity." She managed to stammer.

The taste of her!! sweet.....lingering and intoxicating and he loved every second of it. Even as she sifted and withdrew he could feel every inch of her lips as they parted.It...was a sweet sorrow. Never thought id think that...but its true.... He wished it hadn't ended so quickly...but if he could he would have had it last forever and a day.....but maybe that was just the alcohol speaking he couldn't honestly be sure
"Deity...D.E.I.T.Y..." He tested it out, letting it roll off his tongue and see how it tasted as it where. He liked it...a little odd but it fit this odd woman."Your parents must have high expectations to name you that...but i have a feeling your up to most any challenge.." He smiled and kissed her softly on the cheek, loving the feeling of her skin on his. He stood slowly drawing her with him"What do you say to one more dance....Deity?" He could only smile when he remembered there last dance....Was it only a few moments ago? It seemed so much longer.
It was amazing, how slow time could seem. How a few moments could change the course of an entire night, an entire week. I wonder what these last few moments have changed for me... It was times like this when his mind flashed back the birth of his three children. His life had changed for the better on all those days, he had grown, and his capacity for love had grown as well. Each one had changed him and for the better...But he had to admit each and every time it had happened he was scared shitless, and he felt that fear here as well. How was meeting this woman going to change him? How was she going to make him grow? Hopefully he had the time to find out....and if not he would enjoy the ride regardless
