BRIEFING:

This results in a deep sense of fear. This normally inflicts minor hallucinations along with a sense of depersonalization, or the feeling of being outside one’s own body. As for physical effects, it can cause minor symptoms like increased heart rate and trembling or shaking, in some cases even inducing nausea. Unless used on someone prone to a heart attack or stroke, Velasco’s alkahestry is non-lethal. It does, however, give him the upper hand in battle. It is activated by touch, and has to be within proximity of the brain or upper spinal cord.
