In Kanama (Jay/Elli) Empty In Kanama (Jay/Elli)

Post by Jay Furor Sun Apr 25, 2010 7:24 pm

Jay pointed to a dirty, broken down house with runny and smudged silver paint partially coating the house, though some bits and large spaces are unpainted, showing how beaten down it is. Only one large room in the back was flawlessly painted and untouched by whatever had hit the other parts. The sad thing was, it was the best looking house in the area. The entire town was broken down, truthfully. "That's my house, just to let you know beforehand." She smiled faintly and pointed at a smaller building with a hand made, ugly sign in front of it. 'Groshery Stor' was what the sign said, misspelled pretty badly. "And that's the store. Looks bad on the outside, but on the inside it's the most modern looking place here." She looked at the ground outside the car, ready to gratefully accept the hard ground on her feet again. At the moment she started to think of buying a pedal car or bike in the near future, maybe even now if she could find one! 100 cenz was a lot of money and most bikes here cost around 60, so she should still be able to get other things as well. Finally, she pointed at a rusty building with smoke steaming up from the chimney. "And that's the blacksmith- Where I'll get the plaque from." She smiled and waited for the car to park outside one of the buildings.

In Kanama (Jay/Elli) Empty Re: In Kanama (Jay/Elli)

Post by Guest Sun Apr 25, 2010 8:14 pm

Elliot stepped out of the drivers seat, nodding to Jay as she explained her hometown to her.

"I assume we'll start with the plaque, then? If you decided to get some food a little later, I'll cover it for both of us. It won't be a problem." She stated, reminding Jay that she would cover some of the expences.
The blonde flipped some of her hair behind her, letting it flow in the wind a little more. She dug for something in her jacket pocket, and took out a black ribbon. She grasped the back of her head, and took all of her hair in her hand, and then she tied her hair with the ribbon, and threw it behind her back again, her hair now binded with a ponytail.

Her eyes became a soft pink. She seemed sastified and happy, for some reason. She seemed happy with this girl and this town. Even this she didn't understand...she wasn't this type of person. And yet, this has only happened with two people so far. She hoped inside that it didn't happen with anyone else.

Jay smiled and nearly fell flat on her face getting out of the car. "Ow..." This was mostly because she jumped out, not even unbuckling the seat belt, which caught on her foot as she slipped out of it. She properly stood up and brushed herself off, before walking towards the blacksmith building, about 5 houses away. As she started down the sidewalk, she pulled out a small knife and held it in one hand. In case Elliot got any wrong ideas, she turned to the girl and held out the knife. "Don't worry about this, it's just for protection. I'm not going to kill you or anything. Hehe. Naw, it's just that in this section of town, you have to be careful. All kinds of people around here, most of them the kind of people you lock your house up because of. In fact, that's why I live alone. A while back, maybe 8 years ago or so, big gang came in and killed my family. I just barely made it out alive... But anyways, I think the streets'll be safe enough today.

When Jay pulled out the knife in the first place, Elliot had on a blank expression, as if she was unfazed by it. Mainly because she was.
She knew that this girl wouldn't harm her. Even if she did, Elliot would've attacked right back, and probably would've striked harder.

Elliot nodded, not saying a word and quickly followed Jay. Hearing her explaination, she started to assume something...was another girl opening up to her? It was strange for her, because no one opened up to her. Mainly because they were scared of her, but still...
She didn't look that threatening, did she?
She thought she was actually quite pretty. Long blonde hair, cool gray (mainly) eyes, fair skin, and a thin body...Elliot didn't care much for appearances, but, she tries not to look threatening. She can't help her mood--which makes her eye color change. When she's angry, her eyes turn red, which makes her seem more like she's willing to kill.

"Yes...I understand, Jay. I never lived in these sort of conditions...I used to live in Dublith, with my mother, actually. My parents seperated shortly after my little brother Anthony was born. My mother tore me away from my father, whom was very important to me when I was younger. We moved to Dublith, I tried running away back to Central to see my father, I was found, and I barely ever talked to her since...back then, I rather would've lived here,"

Elliot can't believe what she just explained. She just explained the basics of her past, which she had never explained to anyone before. She was surprised at herself, and yet, still happy that she was able to let that out to someone.

In Kanama (Jay/Elli) Empty Re: In Kanama (Jay/Elli)

Post by Jay Furor Sun Apr 25, 2010 9:19 pm

Jay nodded. So that was what she had been talking about back in Dublith. "That sounds pretty awful... I barely knew my parents very well, simply because we were rarely on good terms with each other after I was about 4... So Even though mine died, I think you had it worse, your parents seperating..." Jay fiddled with her ponytail, a habit of boredom and looked at Elliot and for maybe the first time in several months, actually, truly, without faking it, laughed. She pointed to Elliot and kept smiling. "I just noticed it! Now that your hair is in a ponytail, We look almost like twins. " Jay walked up to the shop and waved to the blacksmith through a big hole in the wall. "Well, we're here." She smiled and pulled out her pouch. Then it hit her. This was the only time she had ever been this close with another person besides Darkamaru or Slink. She had shared her past, laughed and smiled, talked and everything else that she rarely ever did. What was up with her today? She usually had a cold as ice demeanor and never had any friends, especially not people who she didn't know very well. Her only two friends were Darkamaru, her mechanic, and Slink, her partner as a mercenary. She couldn't believe how friendly and open she was being. But at the same time, Elliot was sharing her own past, which Jay was curious about now for even more reasons she couldn't explain! Either way, the two were extremely similar and Jay wondered whether or not they really HAD met before. Maybe this girl had visited Kanama once... No, she had already said she hadn't been there. Had she been to Dublith? No, she hadn't left Kanama until after her coldness had developed...Strange.

Post by Guest Sun Apr 25, 2010 9:54 pm

When Jay had pointed out that the two look like twins, Elliot had laughed. It was the first time she had laughed in awhile...
She smiled on rare occassion, but laughed? She hadn't laughed since the day she first found the kitten hidden in her apartment a couple years ago.

It was so strange. These two girls were a lot alike, and yet, they were sharing pasts, smiling, and laughing with each other like they'd known each other for years.
Elliot...felt really happy. For once in a long time, she felt really happy and content with her new...friend.
That's what Jay was to her. A friend. Or a sister-like friend.

"I must admit, Jay...it's been great being around you. You're a really great...friend..." Elliot just about choked on saying the word 'friend'. She had never considered anyone to be a friend in a long time.
Maybe this was going to be the start of a great relationship between the two. Maybe the similar two would form a bond, and be there for each other whenever one needed the other.
Oppisete's may attract--but similiarities come together closer and stay around much longer.

Jay was a bit taken aback by the word friend as well, though she ahd to admit, their friendship was definately obvious. "Yeah, I guess we are friends now, aren't we... " She said the words slowly, as if thinking them over several times before the next word. She stepped into the blacksmith's shop and he noticed the smile on her face and Elliot beside her and looked positively stunned. "Erm, Ms. Furor, what can I get you and your... " He was obviously at a stand still on correct words to use. Partner? Companion? What word could he have used to describe Elliot? It wasn't like Jay to have friends...Then again, it wasn't like Jay to smile or laugh. He simply looked at the two, confused and stuttered out, "Your erm... Who is that, Ms. Furor?" Jay smiled at him and laughed again. "My friend... My best friend."

Elliot was a bit surprised when Jay said she was her best friend.
Her eyes turned a rosy red and pink mix, showing that she was a little embarrased. Her cheeks even turned the same color as her eyes did.
She wasn't the type to blush often, either. Nor was she the type to get embarrassed like this.

"Y-yes, actually," She stepped up to say, a little stutter in her voice.
"Jay is a fantastic friend. She's a very great friend, and very reliable."
Elliot was getting used to the idea of having a friend. It would take some time, maybe about a day or so, but she liked the idea a lot. She would finally have someone to rely on, someone by her side, and someone to help her when she needed it.
She smiled to herself, really liking the idea. It made sense to her; and Jay sure seemed to like it, as well.
These two would make a great pair, maybe they would even get close enough to tell each other everything, and...get to be just like sisters.

The blacksmith continued looking at them in diselief and surprise but eventually shook his head and smiled. "Well, it's about time little Jayjay got some friends. She's always alone any other time. But anyways, what can I getcha?" Jay smiled and pointed to a picture of a plaque on the wall. "Gold please." He looked at her in disbelief again. "You never cease to amaze me. You actually have money?" Jay frowned in fake anger. "Hey! I represent that!" She grinned at her twist on the phrase 'I resent that' She knew she was always broke, but now she held out her money pouch for the blacksmith to take a look. "Oh yeah, Elliot, I forgot to mention something. This big guy is my uncle, Johan. Last one in the family." She smiled and poked his arm. Why was she so lighthearted today? It was like she had lost her barrier of ice that made her herself...

Elliot smiled warmly, showing it to Jay and another new person, that she didn't even know. She usually doesn't smile around other people she doesn't.
"Sergeant Major Elliot Rowan, at your service, Mr. Johan." She held out her hand toward Johan in a peaceful and calm manor.

Elliot was a lot more light-hearted, warm, and sweeter than she usually is. She was usually cold to strangers, and never let them in. She wouldn't let anyone in until she knew she could trust them. Jay...seemed like a special type, Elliot assumed. Jay opened up to her, so she opened up to her as well. Both of their ice barriers were broken away from each other.
Their pasts were now known; and now Elliot was curious as to what Jay's current life is. She was sure that her new best friend was curious about her, too.
Elliot wanted to explain it to her, now, but she didn't want to seem to...eager? about it. She was actually eager? That's something new.
Perhaps around lunch she would tell.

Johan shook her hand. "Military, eh? Interesting. We usually don't get many officers around these parts. Well, anyways, I was already working on a plaque when you two stopped by. I was going to put up a fish on it, but if Jayjay needs it, she can take it, by all means." He grinned and Jay handed him the money which he declined. "Can't have you starving to pay my bills! Keep your money." "No, take it! You earned it." "I don't want it." "TAKE IT!" "NO!" After a brief pause of fake glaring, the two burst out laughing. "Tell you what, if it makes you feel better, I'll take 10 Cenz and call it a family discount." He grinned and took the coins from the bag. Jay smiled and took the plaque off the anvil, not minding how warm it was. "Well thanks, Uncle Johan! Bye!" She smiled and left, gesturing for Elliot to follow her. "So are we gonna have to drive to the store? Hehe."

Elliot nodded happily toward Johan, and bowed slightly. She was apart of the military, and she was content with her position. But if only she could get a promotion!
She bursted out laughing when the other two laughed as well. She was so happy and light-hearted lately.

When the two exited, Elliot was still smiling, and her eyes were a bright pink, showing she was very happy.

"Would you like to drive, or walk? Because I saw you in the car. I think you would rather walk, right?" She stifled her giggles, trying not to laugh. She hadn't laughed this much in a long time. She really enjoyed Jay's company.

"Well...why don't we just go to a restaurant to eat? Is there one nearby here? You should lead the way, after all, you live here and you know the area better than me." She adorably smiled at Jay, obviously still really happy that she found a friend, even if it was extremely out of character.

Jay nodded rapidly. "Walking is awesome! Much better than driving, yes yes..." She grinned, more comfortable around Elliot now. She ran over to the car anyways though, putting the plaque in her passenger's seat. It would be a short drive home, but she didn't feel like walking that far. She ran back to Elliot and pointed at a red building, painted poorly and built just as bad. "It's the best place in town, even if it isn't too great. It's a burger place." She nodded as if approving her statement, and started dragging Elliot towards it by her arm. She had 90 Cenz left, which, for her, was a fortune. She planned on ordering the most expensive thing on the menu! But still, she wondered now... Why was she being so...so...Out of character. She was never like this before and even Johan had sensed it. What was wrong with her today...

"B-burgers?" Elliot almost choked out. She was a vegetarian...she hated burgers! And anything else meat involved.
"They surely have something else other than burgers, right?" She nervously asked. She was thinking about animals when she said this--she loved animals (she loved animal life certainly more than she cared for human life...) and didn't want to think about them being dead...

She didn't mind being dragged to the restaurant, especially with Jay, because she liked her a lot, but when she thought about meat...she actually became a little squimish.
This was probably why she was so thin; because she didn't eat any meat, and she ate a lot of greens and fruits.
Although, when she became squimish, she wouldn't do it in front of anyone she didn't know well--excluding Jay, apparently. Still being out of character, only when around her, though, she laid a hand on her stomach, feeling a little queesy.

Jay, realizing the situation, smiled and nodded. "Yep! They have a sald bar and even a fruit and dessert buffet table! The burgers suck here anyways.... I just like the resteraunt for the awesome desserts. No matter how many times I go there, I can't help but fill my plate until the nearest waiter makes me sit down! When we go in, I'll get an appetizer of mango ice cream on top of cinnamon toast. You'll love it, trust me!" She grinned and walked into the building with her money out. She tossed 20 Cenz to the cashier at the front desk and smiled. "Two seat table, buffet for both!" The man nodded and let them in, and the first thing Jay did was shoot off to the huge circular table in the center of the room, grabbing a little bit of everything and telling the waiter what she wanted for the appetizer. After a few seconds, she yelled back at Elliot. "Hey Elliot, you go choose a table! I'll get twice the amount of food I usually get! If a table can hold that much food..."

Elliot let out a sigh of relief, happy to see that Jay understood her situation. When they entered the restaurant, she saw other people eating the burgers, and her stomach flipped a little inside. It looked so gross...she felt so bad for the animal that died to make that. By Jay's taste buds, it didn't even taste that worth it.

She smiled at Jay before going to find them a table. She sat down at one near-by the dessert table, in case Jay wanted to come back for seconds...or thirds. Silently giggling to herself, Elliot saw how she was piling on food for both of them. She knew she would get a salad shortly afterwords, mainly because too many sweets were bad for you, and she loved lettuce and tomatos.

Elliot waved at her, showing that she found a table. "I'm over here; do you need help by any chance, or do you have all of that all on your own?" She chuckled slightly.

Jay sat her plates down on the table, literal MOUNTAINS of food. Everything from cakes and pies to sliced fruit to a tray of lemon peels for Jay. She smiled as the ice cream toast arrived. "Nah, I got it. Go ahead, get something. Everything at the dessert table is better than the burgers!" She smiled and bit into a chili pepper. Jay loved spicy food more than ANYTHING. Except coffee...Coffee was awesome. And she was glad her and Elliot were friends now even if it was still so strange. Finishing the pepper in about 2 bites, she started in on a chocolate cake. She delicately cut a slice and placed it on a small saucer... Right before she quickly DEMOLISHED the rest of the cake. She pushed the slice towards Elliot as she swiped some frosting off her lip. Jay was all skin and bones but when it came down to it, she could eat you right out of house and home. "And Elliot, since you said you would pay for the food earlier, I will not allow you to pay the tip. I'm telling you in advance!"

Elliot let out another giggle. It was a fact that she had said she would pay for the food; she said it twice already, did she not?

She took the slice, right before realizing it was chocolate. She pushed the plate away.
"Following the fact that I am vegetarian...I also have an allergic reaction to eating chocolate, therefore, I can't really eat--" She politely declined the cake, when she laid her eyes on vanilla ice cream. She knew it was what she saw. She took a bowl of it and started basically scarfing it.
She love vanilla ice cream! She couldn't get enough of the stuff!
Finishing the bowl in only a matter of minutes, without getting brain freeze, she reached for some of the fruit on top of the piles and piles of food.
She may have loved ice cream to death; but she also had a craving to eat something healthy right after she ate it.
She blushed a little bit, feeling embarrassed about what Jay just whitnessed.
"Excuse me, but...I just really like vanilla..." She sheepishly smiled before taking a bite.
She hadn't acted this way since she was a small child...

Jay laughed and poked Elliot in the forehead. "Don't worry! I can eat almost anything twice as fast, so you have nothing to be ashamed of in front of me! ...Except for the fact that I CAN OUT-ICE CREAM RACE YOU!" She grinned and downed her own bowl of vanilla ice cream in one gulp, doing the same with Elliot's slice of cake. She always had fun eating out but it was so much more fun with her new friend! Kind of weird, really, since she never went anywhere with someone else besides on missions, and since Slink was as talkative as she usually was, she never really did anything like this before now. Though truthfully, this type of friendship was new to her. Her only other friends were guys, one a lizard mutant, the other an undead midget. Now she had a friend who was not only seemingly UNfreakishly weird (Talk about hypocriticy...) but also a GIRL. She always saw those two girls chatting up a storm wherever she went, sometimes three and sometimes someone texting, but nonetheless, this was apparently that... Very weird, indeed...

Elliot laughed again.
This feeling was so nice...Elliot finally had a friend that she could talk to. She didn't have any friends before, so having her first friend--and the friend being a girl at that--felt really nice. She liked this feeling a lot.
But she was acting unusually cheerful. That was probably the friend effect with her. Not to mention that her eyes were still happily pink (it might actually become her new official eye color; that's how long the color has been in her eyes).

"You're on with that!" She took another bowl of vanilla ice cream and downed it almost just as fast as Jay. She had to down it in three gulps--but it was really close to one, wasn't it?
She laughed, realizing that she couldn't beat Jay at an eating game.

Also, if you thought about it, it was strange to see a militant out with a girl like Jay, laughing, and having eating contests...
But Elliot was obviously turning into a different person around Jay, and she sure loved it.

Jay grinned. "You lose, so now you must bringeth me the grapes of awesome!... Pretty much, go fill a bowl with all kinds of grapes. Heehee." Jay was getting used to this friends thing, even if it still seemed strange that herself, a mercenary with a reputation of being colder than ice, was eating out and chatting with another person. She had eaten out with other people before, but those occasions were rare, almost always work related or in order to assassinate a target. She had also eaten twice at Darkamaru's house and been out to eat one time with her team the day after she got out of the hospital with her automail limbs. It still felt really weird, but she liked it now, and for the first time in 10 years of her life, her glare was broken for longer than an hour. It was as if someone had hurled the sun at her wall of coldness.

"Alright, then," Elliot looked around on the table, and saw that she hadn't placed any grapes on the table...
She stood from the table, and walked over to the fruit bar. She took a bowl with her, and started pouring grapes into the bowl.
She thought about what had happened, smiling softly to herself. She had never done this; let alone in public, too. But it was great to finally have a friend after a long time. The closest friend she's ever had was her brother Anthony, whom she still keeps in contact with, and visits every now and then.
As well as she does, he remembered the night that they were torn from each other. Even though he was only an infant, being torn apart from your sister and mother was something you wouldn't forget, right? He told her that he felt bad because he never got to know his sister or his mother.

Elliot, being brought back to reality, realized the grapes were overflowing, and she stopped before they toppled.
Letting out a sigh of relief, she poured a little from the bowl back to the grape section, and brought the bowl back to Jay.
"Do you need someone to serve you, madam?" She stifled a couple giggles, jokingly bowing to Jay. She was acting like a child...and she loved it in every way.

In Kanama (Jay/Elli) Empty Re: In Kanama (Jay/Elli)

Jay grinned evilly. "Yes, servant. You must hand feed me my grapes! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" She held her mouth open and pointed inside. She was actually having fun with this. Who knew that Elliot would be her friend? They were so similar though that it had shocked her at first. Really, she hadn't expected much from this trip. Elliot would have driven her to Kanama, helped her take groceries home, and leave afterwards. Who knows, maybe Elliot would stay over tonight? The only thing Jay worried about was Elliot seeing her display room, though it was well hidden- Behind a stuffed bookcase, which Jay could easily push aside, thanks to her automail. If anyone else were to attempt to push it, their hands would be pricked by 'splinters' or more accurately, nails, deceptively painted to seem invisible. So that meant that Elliot wouldn't have to go in there, seeing as book cases aren't usually supposed to be moved...

In Kanama (Jay/Elli) Empty Re: In Kanama (Jay/Elli)

Trying to to laugh (so much), she started litterally feeding Jay the grapes. The usual plopping one into her mouth, letting her chew and swollow, and then throwing another one in her mouth.
Elliot wasn't much of the type to do child's play, but in this case, this was the most fun she's had in weeks.
She was laughing and smiling, like she was when she was a child...and she loved every second. Jay was like a sister now, and she thought of her as a new family member.

The grapes started to dissapear, one by one, as it started to run out.
Elliot couldn't hold in her laughs anymore. "I-I'm sorry," She apologized, wiping away the tears from her laughing so hard.
"This is a lot of fun. I'm really enjoying this. Maybe...I could stay over a little while longer?" It was like she read her mind.
These two were acting like little children--and yet they didn't seem to mind that at all. All that really mattered to the two was that they were together, and that they were friends. Almost like sisters, isn't that right?

And the very last grape, Jay couldn't hold in her laughter and laughed so hard it scared away 5 other customers. Mostly because a half chewed grape landed in someone's food. She grinned and laughed even HARDER at that. She started on a peach pie now as Elliot talked. She nodded in agreement. "Sure, you can stay over as long as you want. I never get guests though, so we'll either have to share the mattress or sleep on the floor. If it comes down to that, I'll sleep on the floor. I can fall asleep anywhere! Especially since Kanama is so seperate from the rest of Amestris...Usually, when I walk back home, I sleep wherever I am when sunset hits, unless I can make it home. But I usually don't care since it's somehow fun to sleep that way. Plus, I wake up and see all kinds of stuff going on!" She grinned and finished off the pie, leaving a piece for Elliot as she did with the cake too. Elliot was becoming so much like her sister now! It was so fun being around her, even if she would have to keep a secret from her now. She was Jay's new family, along with her Uncle. She liked it...
