DESCRIPTION:
→ Masani has long and very straight black hair, with gray eyes. She often
wears very casual clothes, or "civilian dress". She favors light but baggy
clothing that covers alchemy tattoos on her shoulders and arms. Her tattoos go
from her shoulder blades down to her arm (The picture I chose is not much of an
accurate representation but alas that was all I could find). Masani also favors
dark colors, she is rarely dressed in any other colors. Masani has an often
apathetic appearance, almost seeming not to care much about anything. She is
almost always smoking a cigarette, and aside from her aloof facade, she is rather
troubled. She also remains in the background, never trying to alert anyone’s
attention to her, in fear they might recognize her. Masani also has a very pale
skin tone; she does not expose her skin to the sun's harsh rays. In fact, she
spends most of her time indoors, except at night. She is more active then, she
feels often protected by the cover of darkness.

PERSONALITY:
→ At first glance, Masani seems like a shy, secluded being. Masani remains this way so that she does not draw attention to herself. Even though she has moved to another part of Amestris, she still feels fearful that the Military might find her. Masani hides during most of the day, and works at night in a local tavern for pay. At heart, she is a drifter and doesn’t wish to stay in one place for any amount of time. She is ready to flee at a moment’s notice as well, especially if she feels like she is being hunted or followed. However, while she is staying somewhere she will lend a hand to the community, if they should need it. She uses her knowledge of basic Alchemy to help out whomever she can, but she never shows off her real talents and keeps her past of being a State Alchemist well-hidden. Once she opens up to people, she is a very caring and loyal friend.

She always gives everyone a second chance to prove themselves, because she truly hopes that if someone were to discover her past that they would understand why she had to do what she did. Masani has many regrets in life, and her past haunts her even to this day. Though she is trying to better herself, she often feels like a monster for what she did, and she wishes that she could change it all. Despite all of this, she truly is a good person and gives all that she possibly can to those with less. If she has extra money, clothes or food she will often give it away instead of keeping it for herself. Masani is a very selfless person. But she also will defend herself and others, to the death. If she feels threatened she will react, instantaneously. She is also an excellent tactician with an eye for detail.

DEEPEST SECRET:
→ Masani’s deepest secret is how she fled from the Military after her parents died. She left everything she knew behind, including her younger twin sisters; Ristu and Sasiki. She gave no prior notice to the Military that she was leaving and is considered AWOL (Absence Without Leave).

IDOL:
→ Masani admires Ryuichi Takado, a man very high up in the Military, though she has never personally met him she knows of his reputation. Part of Masani wishes she could have been as dedicated to the Military as he is.

HISTORY:
→ Masani Jade Nakita was born in Amestris about 24 years ago. Her father was a well-known blacksmith and a retired war veteran. She was the oldest of her two other siblings, Ristu and Sasiki who are twin sisters. Masani was very close to her family, loving them unconditionally. Masani’s parents where the two largest influences in her life. Her mother stayed at home, caring for the three girls while educating them about Alchemy from a young age and her father was very community oriented. Masani showed a natural talent, even as a little girl, for manipulating metals in their liquid forms. That was when her father, Jaimes decided he would teach the her family secret, how to manipulate Quicksilver. It was a technique passed down from many generations.

Her mother did not really approve, but she couldn't deny that Masani was naturally attuned to liquid metals. When she was sixteen she branded her body with permanent alchemy transmutation circles. During this time, her parents also became sicker, no doubt from prolonged exposure to Mercury. She decided to take on responsibility for her family and applied for a State Alchemist position, after proving her talents she passed.

Masani truly loved the military; she liked belonging in something greater than herself, and was proud to take after her father. Who himself had been a General during his time of enlistment. She became more educated, using the Military’s wealth of knowledge to her advantage. She also loved feeling of being empowered, since she had reached a rank where she could give orders. She learned how to expertly plan every step she took. She also educated herself in many self defense techniques. Aside from Alchemy, Masani also educated herself in using small throwing knives and other weapons (including hand guns). She also learned some forms of hand-to-hand combat. She enjoyed acquiring new knowledge about various subjects.

Her natural abilities allowed her to fly through the ranks very quickly. She was also very obedient and showed unsurpassed loyalty. The money she earned went to her parents, and never on herself. Finally, her parents died when she was 20 and she could not care for her two younger sisters and sent them to live with friends of their parents. It became very difficult for her to serve under the military during this time, because she was filled with so much anger and regret. Masani felt so powerless at this time in her life.

Her love for the military quickly dissipated; now that she was being perused by them she could no longer be involved with them in any way. Over time her dislike became a hatred of sorts, since she has had to move from one town to another in a fruitless effort to evade them.

She chose to abandon everything she knew and left the Military without any notice. She moved away, to another part of the country so they couldn't find her. She lives a quaint life as a regular civilian, never wishing to raise any suspicions about her past life.

ALCHEMIC/ALKAHESTRIC ABILITY:
→ Masani manipulates Quicksilver or liquid Mercury, she not only uses naturally occurring Mercury from the earth, but also carries some in a small and discreetly hidden bottle. Though she refrains from using her skills, in an attempt to prolong her inevitable death, she will defend herself when necessary. Using Mercury requires absolute focus, it is the balance of more than the metal itself, and it is the equilibrium of Salt and Sulphur. Too much of either element will result in a catastrophic failure.

1. "She desperately tried to bring her beloved parents back to life multiple times, but it was to no avail." --This I don't understand. If you were implying that she attempted Human Transmutation, then I can't approve it. Or did you mean something different?
2. Trivia: Can you choose a color for the language she speaks. For example: "Fluent in Amestrian."
3. History: This isn't important, but I don't understand why she suddenly started hating the military after her parents died? It's just this sentence that throws me off: "Her love for the military quickly dissipated; now that she was being perused by them she could no longer be involved with them in any way."

All in all, very good!! I enjoyed reading it. My character Celesto is from Lior too. I think it would be pretty cool if we rped! =3 What do you think?

1. I removed the sentence "She desperately tried to bring her beloved parents back to life multiple times, but it was to no avail." It was removed from the history but I had forgotten to remove it from the "darkest secret" section.

2. I put the language in blue (I used that color in my signature as well).

3. Masani felt compelled to leave the military, she felt like she couldn't live up to anyone's expectations anymore. She couldn't care for her sisters, or at least she didn't think she could. And because she left without any notice (I assumed it is just as illegal to go AWOL in this military as it is in America) she is more afraid than hateful. She shows such hatred because she afraid of being caught. I can change this too if need be, its something I'm still working on.

Also I have actually written out how she uses her Quicksilver alchemy, am I supposed to include it in her profile or elsewhere?

No, no that's perfect. Okay for your alchemy you go to the same place where you got your character app (which is under the Templates post) and you want to copy the one that says Transmutation Equipment. Tell me if you have any further questions.
Also, could you generate your character profile (under your profile--it's one of the tabs) and fill out the information? For rank you can just put "Alchemist" since you're not in the military anymore. ^_^
One more thing, your custom rank is super long... >.< could you make it shorter?
