MDA Halloween Event

A jolly, large man stood before the large double doors of his manor, staring carefully at the crowds that filtered through, every one of them in costume, trying their hardest to look as scary as they could. He jumped back a couple of times to look at the costumes from far-away-ish, and then stepped forward again. He turned down to the man standing next to him and grinned.

"Dai! Amazing work with the guest list! There's plenty of party-goers that are coming tonight, and some pretty big names within Amestris!" He grinned again, and patted his... adopted nephew on the shoulder.

"Well, I guess that we should be taking a look at our guests of honour! Are they here yet?" He smiled a toothy grin at Daigoro. He was dressed in a large white sheet with eyes cut into it - a pretty horrible ghost costume. He sighed softly, and walked towards the refreshments table, making sure that it was all up-and-running.

I hope this party goes well. Can't have it going too horribly for me.

Dai smiled at the man who stood next to him in the... um... er... uh... "ghost" costume. As usual, his Uncle Albert was exceptionally... um... unique? Nah, that wasn't the world. 'unoriginal' was more like it. Were all old, rich men like this? Wait... now he had the word!

Eccentric. Except... It wasn't very "eccentric" for someone to be unoriginal and wear a goddamn sheet over their head!

"Well, first of all, you're welcome. And secondly, yeah, the guests of honour will arrive shortly." Dai was pretty sure that they'd be there soon, and he was also pretty sure that Albert had just smiled under that sheet, but ah well, that could all be debated later as the man walked off to check the refreshments. He decided to go outside the large manor, and intently waited for the guests to come.

Please come... He'd invited Reila personally, of course, but there were a lot of other people that he'd sent invites to... Pity he could only accept the first five in. Another one of his uncle's... eccentricities. Ah well. He laughed softly to himself and tilted his head to the side. He was definitely interested in seeing how this Hallowed Night went... Once he got into costume. He swore to himself, and ran up the stairs into the room Albert had set out for him, hurriedly getting changed into his costume.

He put a pair of ears on his head and stripped off his shirt, putting a pair of shoulder-guards on his... well, shoulders. He also brought his hair up in a very... interesting fashion. As the rest of his costume was pieced together, causing him to look a humanoid version of the Aerugese Kitsune (fox) demon, he looked out the window, noticing a vehicle arrive. The redhead grinned, and hurried back down the stairs and out to the front door - into the cold.

Ah, he was from Briggs. The Alchemist didn't give a shit.

Natsu had just arrived at the manor and truth be told was a little thrilled about coming. He held the slip of paper in his hands as he stepped onto the porch. Natsu knew it was a Halloween themed party or get-together, it didn't really matter to him. He had came in a ill prepared costume though, he had wore a black long cape , that cover his body. Along with a fish belly white mask, covering his entire face excluding his hair.

As he approached the door,he casually lifts his mask and places it on top of his head. He looks around and notices a man by the door. He approaches him and with a swift movement pulled out the slip of paper, with directions " ummm.....Im in the right place right? "the guy had put alot of work into his costume, causing Natsu to second guess his own. He thought to himself " I probably should of remember the date. hahha "

[Reila Tsukino]

"You're in the right place~!" Reila chimed from behind the black cape. "You're Natsu-kun, ne?" Reila grinned brightly, her golden eyes twinkling with intelligence. "You're on Spades team I believe." She nodded and then continued up the steps, flying to Dai's side. "Hi Dai~~ I came early like you asked! Oh and..." She leaned in close to his ear, her cherry blossom perfume wafting off her. "Call me Rei tonight." She stepped back with her hands on her hips in proclamation. "I'm Rei. At your service. Hohoho!" She covered her mouth with a white-gloved hand, smirking evilly though it didn't become her.

Rei's hair was braided carefully all the way up to her neck and was tied halfway down with a red ribbon and a cyan band at the end. The act of doing her hair had taken more than an hour of meticulous attention. Her costume...well, it was a nurse's uniform, only, it was a milky pink. It was also horrifically short, and it didn't help matters that she had garders on under it that connected to white, ruffly leggings. She was in no way the menacing ice queen of Briggs any longer: she was Rei the nurse. The mere thought was more than funny... If any of her men were to see her like this, they would probably faint. Needless to say, Rei resonated beauty with her every movement and gesture. Even her eyes shone with it along with her excitement. "So what exactly is going on tonight?"

Xanthus Icarus walked toward the enormous mansion with a look closely resembling amusement. He had not quite believed what he had seen on the invitation he had received from Daigoro; the man was related to one of the wealthier citizens in Central? Who would have guess that Dai even knew people like that, let alone that he was related to them by blood? The Ishvalan shrugged with the same smile still playing on his face as he stepped forward toward the house. He saw Daigoro Ito, Reila, and a man that he had never met before but whom he knew to be Natsu Leiol, a member of the Central forces under General Spade. Xan looked at their costumes, looking for only a second or two longer at Reila's than at Dai's and Natsu's, then chuckled. Perhaps he had gone a step too far with his own costume; it was an interesting little piece of clothing that he had acquired from Xing, with its own hairstyle to match.

Though he could not remember what sort of person wore the costume, the Alchemist was sure that it was some form of important man, so before he had left home, he had thrown it on, alchemically created a paper lantern, fixed up his hair, and began the trip to the mansion. Now, here he was, walking up to his friends and a soon to be acquaintance for a little bit of a fun party.

When he came within a good few yards of Dai, Reila, and Natsu, Xanthus smiled brightly and waved with the hand that was not holding the paper lantern. Hey guys! Sorry I'm late, but this get-up of mine took a bit longer than I'd expected to set up. Ah well, I'll remember this next time I suppose. How is everyone doing tonight?

Kaoru had recieved an odd letteer in teh mail a few days back about a party that was organized by his adopted fathers friend called albert. Kaoru was rather hesitant baout wether he would go or not, Kaoru was more worried about how much people would be there since he had his issues with big groups of people but Kaoru could make this one a expection because it was his Father's friend is the man organizing it so Kaoru supposed it would be an interesting idea to go. So Kaoru had decided to leave to for the party.

Kaoru first had to decide what he wanted to wear and he had decided he was going to cosplay as Cloud form final fantasy 7 advent children but with out the swords and the holster for his swords. Kaoru had decided to walk to the location which might take him away but that time would give me time to think about what sort of poeple might be attending that party and it was getting quite late so Kaoru decided to hurry because he did not want to leave a bad first impression on the man Kaoru had the letter in hand to check he was at the right address buthe wasn't tehn he asked a man and was point in direction of the large house looking more like a manor so Kaoru started walking in that direction.

As Kaoru walked towards thta manor he noticed that it was inside a large area of land with a large gate with people waiting outside so Kaoru walked up to them and waited a few meters behind them

Tataki Masu had received an invitation from a rather odd person. Tataki had only met Albert once, during a game of chess. Normally he wouldn't attend such things but he figured it would be rude not to accept a invitation. Even from someone he barely knew. Tataki wondered who would be there and would he get to meet any interesting new people. Having just become the Head of Eastern HQ, he was rather eager to meet any possible people he could befriend in this dog eat dog world.

Vergil had come in something he did not usually wear. Instead of his normally elegant clothing he now wore a street biker type of get up. First was a black leather jacket with the zipper of it slightly unzipped revealing his rather toned chest. With this he also wore a pair of silver sunglasses with black frames and a silver cross around his neck. His hair was still white but was mated down and fluffed instead of its usually combed back look. He had also applied a spray tan to help bring the entire look together.

As he walked up to the mansion he passed by a man who reminded him of a video character he remembered seeing when he was younger. Yet he could not quite place his finger on who it was. He shrugged this thought off and continued onward, coming up behind the group. They all had rather wonderful costumes. A man from Xing, A humanoid fox or wolf whichever it was he was unsure, a nurse who looked gorgeous and he focused on her a little longer than the rest, and a figure with a white mask and black cape. This was sure to be an interesting party. "Hm, quite a few people out here. Did everyone just arrive at the same time," Tataki asked eager to know why no one was heading inside.

Albert grinned from under his costume as he recognised the people that were coming up to the gate to the front door of the manor, noticing as Dai recognised and spoke to each of them with a smile on his face. Truth be told, Albert, in all his richness, knew a few of these people indirectly too. He smiled, and first walked down to Reila.

"Reila... Tsukino? My goodness! You've grown since I saw you last... How's Danny?" Completely oblivious to her reaction, he suddenly winked a couple of times and nudged Dai.

"So, she's that one, huh? The one in all your letters?" He grinned widely from behind his costume, and then moved over to Xanthus.

"Xanthus Icarus! It's been so long! It's me! Albert Rogers, Dai's uncle." He nodded a couple of times, and then slowly walked to Kaoru.

"Kaoru? How's ya dad?" His next gaze went to Tataki.

"And then, the infamous Head of East HQ - Tataki Masu! Still gonna kick my ass at chess?" He winked, and then went back into the manor with a small smile. Time to let his nephew... He giggled softly... No need to finish that sentence.

Dai watched each and every one of his honoured guests come into the manor, and he smiled secretly to himself. Looks like he'd had enough people come in - no one else would be allowed to enter. As he looked around, he suddenly noticed Reila- his face just went a deep shade of red. What... was she wearing? He looked up, down, up, down, until it seemed that he was just nodding.

"Call me Rei tonight." His face just went redder than even before, and he held his head down, so that she could see the top of his head - not on purpose, of course.

"If we're going by basis of nicknames..." He raised his head sharply back up at her and grinned. "Call me Goro." His face was returning to normal colour, so he gave Reila a quick hug and a soft kiss on the back of her cheek, before moving among the rest of the people that were there. Kaoru, Tataki, Natsu and finally...

"Hello Xan." Dai's eyes did not hold a look of anger or annoyance, but of friendship and happiness. He was happy to see the Ishvallan again, especially after the Central City incident.

"Good to see ya. Glad you got my invite." He grinned.

Natsu entered the manor and was sure he would see expensive artifacts and ice sculptures. As he entered his eyes gently gazed over towards a beautiful woman. He looked at her for only a few seconds; until he noticed the shirtless male kiss her cheek. He turned and begin to rub his hair " I guess she's taken..." his mask was still perched on his head as he looked around. The place was huge and personally; he didn't think he would be able even explore a fraction of it.

He turned towards the open manor and begin think. Natsu leaned onto the door, near the entrance; his arms was folded and his legs lightly crossed as he waited for the festivities to begin.

[Reila Tsukino]

"Uwaaa~" Reila fangirled. Xan looked like a Xingese prince and so...un-Xan-like. She enjoyed the non-militaristic change. A swish of a braid blew out to the side of her as she ran up to meet her ex second in command half way up the stairs. They walked back to the group together. "I've missed you. How is it in central? It's been hell at Briggs since the Aerugese invaded..." She sighed, shaking her head in shame. She was just glad her bandages didn't show through he costume at all. She could have been a mummy...but they weren't attractive for a party like this. How troubling...

She turned around and saw a dejected individual who looked like he walked out of one of Houka's video games. She blinked and then squinted at him. Reila didn't recognize the guy...this saddened her. "Oiiiiii~" She motioned to him. "You, join our circle!" Reila wasn't used to ordering people around at all. Really. She just...hated to see someone left out is all!

A sudden voice caught her attention and she turned around to see a biker dude--no! It was!! "Tataki~~" Reila chimed, running up to him and giving him a hug. "Thanks for all your help before! ...Dai!" She dragged Tataki over to the redhead by the sleeve of his shiny leather coat. "Dai, this is Tataki. He's the Head of Eastern HQ. He took over after Spence disappeared and I hadn't met him until we were running for our lives," She laughed slightly only to be suddenly interrupted by the weird old guy near Dai. She blinked, and let her attention be taken.

Grown...? What was he talking about? Fear streamed up her spine for a moment, as her mind frantically searched for an answer that didn't come. Who was-- Did he say...Danny? Her heart all but stopped and a hand flew to her mouth where she stood, dumbfounded, gaping at him. Then he was gone, making his rounds to everyone else. Tears gathered in her eyes at the thoughts spiraling through her head, but she quickly blinked them away. "Let's go inside, ne?"



[Tataki, I'm assuming that they met when Aerugo chased Briggs and the remaining central forces to the border. So since he helped her and seemed like a good guy, she's now considering him a friend and ally, which he was becoming anyway, right?]

When albert mention the man that left him three years ago and that has not sent any letters to him telling him where he is it angered him wich changed his facial experssion slightly " Ahh well sir i was hoping that you might know yourself i havent seen him in three years heh heh so if you have any information about it please let me know before i leave please " Kaoru was hoping to get anything he could on that man which had left him to live for himself.

Kaoru then noticed a beautiful dlonde haired woman in a pink nurses outfit she looked very different but Kaoru could figure out who she was he sneaked a peek at her file since it ws on Spades desk Reila Tsukino the head of briggs. Kaoru was hesitant again wether he should or not but it was a day to take risksso Kaoru decidd to go to that little group and Kaoru thought that since it was halloween that would would try confued or scare her " Oh hello its a pleasure to finally meet you miss.....Tskino if only it was on less of a dark and mysterious day hehe " Kaoru smiled and wink at her. it seemed to be time to go inside so Kaoru went with everyone inside the larger manor.

Tataki's attention was caught when he heard his name. With a second glance he recognized who the nurse was. It was Reila Tsukino the leader of Briggs. "Uh it was no trouble at-," Tataki was unable to finish his sentence before he was dragged by her to the red headed gentleman kicking up dust as she maneuvered him over there. She introduced him to the red headed man. "Hello its nice to meet you," he said outstretching his hand to him. He was happy to meet Reila's friend but he was still a little shocked he had bumped into her here of all places. The group became silent when Albert began to speak to them all. Tataki listened intently as he began to address each one of them individually.

"Well sir I'm sure you have improved your game and you almost beat me last time," he said with a small smile on his face. He had only just beat the man by the hair of his pon, after all he didn't really think the man was half bad at the game. Tataki went in he had always wondered what people did at Halloween parties, unfortunately he had never had the chance to be a part of one before.

Xan was surprised by Dai and Reila's greetings. After what had happened in their shared past, he had expected them to be much more...suspicious of his presence for at least a number of months, perhaps even years! However, the surprise that he felt was a nice surprise, like receiving an unexpected and very welcome gift.

First, the Ishvallan looked at Dai and responded to his greetings in the same language with a greeting of his own. "I would not have missed this event for anything. The chance to see you and Reila in a more pleasant atmosphere than usual was too good to pass up. Thank you for inviting me Daigoro.

Then, Xan looked at Reila...and resisted the urge to sigh. If he got emotional at a time like this, Pride would definitely let him have it later on, and that would be quite annoying.

"Hey Reila! I've missed you guys too! It's been quite interesting in Central, what with the sudden shift in power. It's incredible how quickly the new Fuhrer has taken control over everything. Of course, with Aurel behind her, how could she not have all of Central under her command?

When the host of the party showed up and started speaking, Xanthus pretended to actually care that he was speaking, as was considered polite. Then, not having noticed the new-comers on account of becoming part of the crowd that was moving into the manor, Xan gathered up his robes and marched regally into the big house.

After everyone had gotten themselves acquainted, Albert lead the group into the dining hall, and motioned over to the glasses of punch on the table.

"Come, now, we have a toast to make before I begin. Leave the one with the lemon slice on it - that's mine and mine alone." Nobody would've needed to worry about mistaking his punch for someone else's, seeing as it was the gold-lame, carved-out-of-crystal glass of the group. As soon as everyone had picked out their glasses of punch, he waltzed over to the table, picked up his glass, and returned to the room, walking up the side stairs, and holding his glass out for all to see.

"Friends, Romans, Countrymen... No, that's not it." He groaned and reached into his pocket, pulling out a cue card. Oh, that was it.

"I hold in my mind, a picture. A picture of a world without war. A picture of a peaceful place, one ruled by our wonderful country. We will be able to walk the streets with our loved ones, without fear of soldiers invading our lives and killing our children. Long. Live. Amestria!" He reached his punch cup high into the air, and brought it down to his mouth, taking a swig.

A few seconds later, his vision began to blur. He blinked and rubbed his eyes, before looking around the room. What was going on? He stepped forward, not noticing where he was walking towards, and a single movement caused him to suddenly topple over the railing, and into the middle of a crowd of screams. By the time he hit the ground, he was dead - gold and crystal glass shattered next to him, liquid running every which way.

{Now, the REAL MDA Halloween Even begins - with the murder of Daigoro's uncle, Albert. It's simple - it's a murder mystery~}

Natsu was more than willing to finally begin this thing. Though he wasn't expecting the glasses of liquid Finally we can start. I was beginning to get a little bored. Natsu walked in and grabbed one of the plain looking glasses out of the bunch. He watched the host walk up the stairs and begin to speak of the perfect world he wished for. Natsu couldn't help but think to himself Hmp...some perfect world you wish for. There will never be an end to war. Not as long as humans have different minds and opinions then suddenly out of the blue the host collapsed down the stairs. Natsu eyes widen as he watched the men become silent What the hell is going on. This better be some kind of joke. I'm not suppose to be on duty today. he walked to the front and stared at the men " Is he dead ? "

[Dai]

Dai smiled to himself as he watched his uncle at the stairs, giving his speech. He always did have this thing for grand affiars, something of an... enigma to Dai, who preferred things like this to be simple and plain, rather than grand and over the top. He yawned, and listened to the end of Albert's speech, before taking the hint and drinking from his glass. A sudden scream alerted Dai to the happenings, and before he knew it, his uncle Albert was over the edge of the stairs, and face-down on the ground in a slowly-growing pool of his own blood.

Dai shouted out, and his immediate reaction was to leap forward, and put his fingers right where he should feel Albert's pulse - having done this a number of times, he expected something... But nothing happened. The pulse was gone... Dai started to bunch up his fists, and looked right up at where his uncle had fallen, expecting to see the murderer there. But there was no-one. No-one at all...

"Who... could... have... done... this...?" His breaths came out ragged, his eyes wild in rage. His only living family... dead! So now he had no-one...

No family to speak of.

[Reila Tsukino]

"I know, right?" Reila chimed in response, extremely overjoyed to have some fun with her ex second in command. Pulling on a piece of Xan's costume, she followed after him into the mansion and took up a glass of punch. She downed it halfway through his glorious...ly boring speech. She didn't exactly like the idea of Amestris ruling over all. Dai's uncle would get along with the new Fuhrer that was for sure. She scowled at her pretty reflection in the glass. Maybe it was because she wasn't Amestrian that she felt this way? But...she had lived all her life here. What was the difference?

Reila looked up in time to see Dai's uncle dangerously close to the railing. There was something wrong. Shit! There was no time. He fell and hit the ground before Reila could blink. He had to be dead, but there was no time to stand there and gape. She dropped her own glass and dashed over to his body, bending down. "Don't worry I'm a--" nurse? Was she seriously going to say that dressed like this?! "--physician." She went to check his pulse, but collided with Dai. Oh shit Dai! She touched the same place he had to confirm that there was no pulse. Counting rapidly and accurately in her head, she assessed professionally that he was...dead. In fact, his whole body felt...cold already. His temperature was lowering as significant rates. Reila narrowed her eyes. This was no accident. "Poison..." she breathed in response to Dai's meltdown. She had to do something. The long-haired girl stood up, enveloping her hands around the redhead's fist. A frown fell on her lips and she looked down, only to see the blood pooling everywhere. It was like the punch...that she had drank. Reila's hands flew to her mouth and she fell to her knees shaking. Blood...there was blood everywhere. Everywhere.............

Kaoru he walked in with everyone in there how should Kaoru put it unique costumes but Kaoru's had to be the most unique one there but maybe not Kaoru and everyone else had gotten into the hall for alberts speech about how he wishes for a peaceful time and for amestris to live long the fact of the matter was amestris is a peaceful places its just all the other countries fear that there families and loved ones would be gone so they would start wars with amestris to protect them and in Kaoru's own opinion Amestris deserves to lose a large part of itself amestris it self will all because of its greed and forcefulness. Kaoru never took some punch like everyone else did he was not a very punchy person. and after Albert's speech something odd happened Albert collasped and as the ironicly dressed like a nurse Reila just so happened to be a physician. Wow who knew Kaoru thought in his head but he also muttered which he didnt even notice he did.

Kaoru wanted to go to albert but he didnt feel very comatble dong it he could of givin him some answers but its seemed that his death would stop that. Kaoru eyes became teary only becuase the only man that could save Kaoru from lonliness is now dead. Kaoru wiped his eyes so no one would notice Kaoru wanted no he needed information about that man so Kaoru left the room to try find a study or something along those line it might have been rude for everyone kaoru leaving like that but he needed to know where that man could be
