Border of Xing Attacked

At the border of Xing an attack was happing by a group of mercenaries. Lieutenant General Hara Hyouga and his men were sent to stop the mercenary group from crossing the border. After some time had past is became clear that they needed backup. So Lieutenant General Hara Hyouga made a strategy to stall for time until he got some backup. Lieutenant General Hara Hyouga’s strategy to stall for time was for his men to continue shooting to make sure the mercenary group did not get near the border and to use flash bomb to blind them.

While his men were doing that Hara Hyouga called for backup and was trying to find out who hired the group of mercenaries to do this. “Ok now all we have to do is wait for HQ’s backup that I called for, so don’t give-up." Hara Hyouga was trying very hard to give his men some morale.

It was unusual for Phoenix Jian to be sent out as back up. He was being sent to the border to help with an attack by a group of mercenaries. As a member of the Lotus organization, Phoenix wouldn't usually be sent out to the battle field. He just sat their in one of the four trucks. All of them charring as many solders as possible, along with 3 Lotus Assassins.

"I hope this doesn't take too long." Phoenix said calmly to the other assassins, while he focused upon petting Horus, his loyal companion. "I have other matters that i must attend to."

The other two kept silent, only nodded the members of Lotus were not really a talkative bunch, not after being trained as some of the most deadly assassins thought out the known world. The other Officers that were sharing this truck over heard Phoenix and gave him a look of distrust. It wasn't that he didn't want to help them protect the border, its just that they weren't members of citron and this wasn't there duty. It didn't matter though, there will always be a divide between the two, seeing as the Citron was based upon teamwork, while Lotus was more of a lone wolf sort of thing.

The vehicles came to a stop, and instantly the solders started unloading them selves, following their orders to get to the border. Phoenix was the last person to get out. He decided that even though he was a high ranking lotus officer, since they were in citron territory and they knew what to do in these situations, he'd rather follow the orders than give them.

Hara Hyouga was very pleased that the back-up they received was Lotus organization. He knew that this wasn’t the kind of work that they usually do they were mostly used by the Xing government to take care of problems quickly and quietly, without anyone knowing that the Xing government had anything to do with it. Even if this wasn’t the kind of work the Lotus organization usually does Hyouga was planning on using their quick and stealthy moves to his full advantage. Hyouga then walked up the group of solders and 3 Lotus Assassins. “Hello ladies and gentlemen I’m Lieutenant General Hara Hyouga; I’m here to tell you why you were all called here today. I’m well aware that this isn’t the usual work that the Lotus organization does, but the situation has gotten more complicated. HQ wants to know who hired these mercenaries so they want you to kill them and find that information, they also do not want the citizens to know about this. They do not want the citizens to panic or to start an unnecessary war, even a lot of people in the government well not be told about what happen today. HQ plans on covering this up by saying this was done by terrorist, not mercenaries. Now we’ll be going to a base at the border where I’ll fill you in on the strategy I’ve come up with."

Taking the tucks Hyouga and the soldiers went to the base near the border. “Ok, soldiers this is how the strategy works, we will be using flash bombs to blind them. While we’re doing that you with special sunglasses will not be blinded by the flash bombs. The soldiers will give the 3 Lotus Assassins cover fire, so they can go deeper in the group of mercenaries to find any documents on who hired them and once they do, return to the base. After that I’ll call HQ for an air strike to finishing them off." Hyouga then gave them all the special sunglasses, that’s when he saw that one of the Lotus Assassins had red eyes.

“Do you have Ishvallan blood?”

Phoenix just listened to the strategy devised by Lieutenant General Hyouga. It made sense, and it was the best way to keep both Citron soldiers and Lotus Assassins working as best as they could, and not getting in each others way. This shouldn't be too much of a problem he thought, at least we got someone who can work with us.

His thought line was interrupted by Hyouga himself, who handed him the glasses mentioned in the plan, and then asked about red eyes, and if there was a possibility that he was Ishvallen.

"No, for all I'm aware my family is Xingese. Its a common mistake though, many people believe me to be of Ishvallen decent."

Then he studied Hyouga's facial features, noticing that he had black hair and similar colored eyes.That coupled with the pale white skin made himself like some form of vampire.

"Why would you ask? I hope that the race in which a person comes from doesn't affect your judgment of them. What about you, are you fully Xingese?" Phoenix asked, not beating around the bush.

“Course not; I’m sorry maybe what I said sounded unprofessional. I was just wandering because I’ve never seen an Ishvallan or anyone with Ishvallan characteristics. As for me I’m a hundred percent Xingese.” Hyouga made sure that his facial features would look like he was telling the truth. Hyouga then gave all of them radios so they could commutate with the base.

Starting to set the plan into motion, Hyouga talked to his man about the formation they should do in order to give the Lotus Assassins the best cover. When he was done with that he went to the upper level of the base and opened the base's door for the soldiers. “Before you start your mission there are a few things I’d like to say to you all. First, the flash bombs will only give you a small opening after that the mercenaries will regain their sight. The other thing is that this mission has a time limit before I have to call a retreat and those who are still out there will die with the mercenaries when the air strike comes, so that’s why I’m hoping you all succeed in this mission so I don’t have to do that. Of course the most likely to die in this mission will be the Lotus Assassins because they will be deep in the group of mercenaries making a retreat mush harder for them. If you think I’m being cruel that’s ok but as a strategist it’s my job to make a plan most likely to work and if that plan fails make another plan where most of the soldiers come back alive.”

"Alright then" Phoenix added about the race thing. The body language was giving the signs that he was telling the truth, but he could help feel slightly suspicious about what Hyouga said. However he just put that to the back of his mind, this mission was far more important, at the minute."

Phoenix continued to listen to the mans orders. Focused and prepared, Phoenix was able to mentally take down every single word.

"Lotus Assassins are trained to to be able to work alone and against great odds. We're able to look after our selves in battle situations were most Citron wouldn't be able to.Not to sound arrogant, but trust me Lieutenant general Hyouga when I say, for all my men, that we will be fine."

Phoenix put on the sunglasses given to him for this mission, not particularly his sort of style, but duty calls. Looking back on the plan, Phoenix was glad that one person wouldn't be accompanying him, Horus. That bird was as close as a pet could get to him. Once he had got his mind back on track he gave a quick nod, and almost instantly the two other assassins got into formation with Phoenix, a simple triangle formation was all that was needed in this mission.

"Three," Started Phoenix preparing him men "Two, one, now."

Flash bomb were off, quickly followed by the three assassins, a large amount of shouting and and panic came across the mercenaries in the base, and one of Phoenix's worries were realized, he hear gun fire. These guys were big enough idiots to fire blind. Oh well he thought best this quick.

The speed and and gracefulness of the assassins were extraordinary. There timing was perfect to, as soon as the bombs detonated, they stormed the place. Once through the doors the three assassins parted ways, the triangular formation was used because they were going spilt up as soon as they got in, Phoenix went down the middle, the one to his right went right and the assassin on the left side went to the left.

Almost instantly Phoenix came across a blinded gunman, and showing no mercy, proceeded to unsheathe one of his Kusangi-no-Tsurugi swords. Phoenix didn't stop for the man, but instead ran past him and while running past cut him deeply across the stomach. The man gave a quick scream and fell to the floor. Phoenix didn't have time to look back and check if his victim was dead, he just had to get through the first room, and see what was being held further back.

Bang! A gun was suddenly shot to stop Phoenix’s movement. Standing next to Phoenix was a very tall Drachman man with brown hair, brown eyes, white shirt, black pants, black top-hat and two long guns in each hand. Just by looking at him you could tell he was stronger then an ordinary mercenary. “Hello there guessing from the way you look and the quick movements you’re some kind of assassin, I’m also guessing from the way you and your friends separated from each other your looking for something. I can only think of one thing you could possibly be looking for and that would be information on who hired us. Did I guess right, if so then if you pay me enough I’ll tell you who hired us.”

He suddenly kicked a mercenary who was on the ground rubbing their eyes because they still could not see at Phoenix. The Drachman man then shot trough the man to get to Phoenix with two armor piercing bullets. “Sorry just kidding about the pay me enough I’ll tell you who hired us thing, you see I became a mercenary for the battles not for the money. I’ll tell you what if you beat me I’ll tell you who hired us and by the way two of my companions are headed to were your friends are right now as we speak.”

As soon as the man was kicked into Phoenix, the young man took immediate action. He stopped the bodily with his free hand and gave it a small push forward. He then gave a small jump to the right, so that his path wasn't blocked the the poor mercenary, who quickly became a lump on the floor as his chest was hit by the tall brutes bullets.

This man was tall, and reminded Phoenix more of a bear than a man. Large and bulky he could very easily be the gang leader, especially by the information he was babbling as challenged Phoenix. He would have to beat him in combat and he'd then tell us who he was working for?

"Very well" Phoenix Stated, taking his stance. Phoenix did a quick twirl of his blade, deciding that only one would suffice for this match. Phoenix would have to rely upon his speed, seeing as the man appeared to be to be the big and slow type of target. He imminently charged at the giant, attempting to slash his right shoulder.

{OOC - Just thought we'd... ...jump in and watch}

A pair of teenagers stood in the distance, watching what was going on. Yeah, they were supposed to be watching over Takegami, but they'd both decided that it'd be more interesting to persue this lead, while they had the chance. THe pair of silhouettes turned to each other.

"So, brother..."

"Yes, my sister?"

"This seems interesting enough to watch." The taller of the two nodded.

"I agree. Let us watch." As the two stood there, watching the fight, the shorter shadow began to get an itch, and started to scratch.

"Heian... I have an itch." Guang spoke, scratching harder.

"Just wait. You'll be able to scratch it properly when we get back to the palace."

"I can't wait that loong..."

"Guang Li. You can just wait. We're on a covert operation..." The girl's eye twitched, and she suddenly shouted at her brother.

"Shut up or I'll rape you!" That shout was... a little more than was necessary. Heian suddenly put his hand over his sister's mouth, and hoped that they weren't noticed...

“I’m glad you accepted my offer, this should be fun.” The Drachman man then used one of his long guns to block the blade and the other one to shoot at Phoenix. “I see you’re planning on using your speed to your advantage. Smart idea but as an assassin you’re used to fighting in the shadows and this is a head to head fight so I still think that I have the overall advantage.” The Drachman man jumped back and with his legs he kicked up dust, bullets and bullet shell castings that were on the ground at Phoenix.

He then fired a dozen rounds at Phoenix. “Hello you still live there ha ha.” The Drachman man said as he carefully looked for any movements. Finally like the Drachman man said his two companions had arrived where the other two assassins were. The two companions of the Drachman mercenary were an Amestrian mercenary who had blue armor all over his body, a sword and a large shield.

The other companion of the Drachman mercenary was a Xingese mercenary who did not wear a shirt, had long black hair tied in a ponytail, black pants, sandals and a long spear. The Amestrian mercenary with blue armor hid himself in a group of mercenaries and while the assassin was busy killing the other mercenaries he jumped in the air. While he was in the air the Amestrian mercenary with blue armor took his large shield in order to bash the assassin’s head and even if the assassin were to block the large shield the Amestrian mercenary with blue armor would just use his sword to cut a side of the assassin. The Xingese mercenary used a martial art that is usually used for stunning an opponent with powerful palm slaps but the Xingese mercenary was using it to push full gown men at the assassin as if they were nothing. While the assassin was busy with the full gown men coming at him the Xingese mercenary ran at him while being low on the ground giving him a lower center of gravity and made it harder for the assassin to see him, the Xingese mercenary did this so he would get to the assassin to cut the assassin’s head off with his spear.

The Li Twins got some bad luck because the rest of the mercenaries regained their sight so they were noticed. All mercenaries took their weapons and begin to attack the Li Twins. All but one that is, there was an old gray haired man who was even larger then Drachman mercenary. He was just setting there watching.

Phoenix wasn't surprised that his first attack was blocked. He was lucky to have all the past experience that he did, because without it he probably wouldn't have been able to dodge the first couple of shots, from the man, admittedly he dodge by a hair. The next row of bullets was even worse, there was more and Phoenix had to really keep on his toes to dodge them all, unfortunately his scarf was hit by a few bullets. The man stopped, and taunted Phoenix. However taunting never works on any professional assassin, because they're always trained to stay level headed throughout missions, otherwise you can't think straight. However Phoenix couldn't let the man go unanswered.

"I may fight in the shadows, but my martial arts and kenjutsu will be more than enough for the likes of you."

Phoenix turned his head slightly, so he could see what else was going on, he saw the other two assassins, fighting their own battles. Phoenix wouldn't interfere, it was a mutual agreement between assassins that they wouldn't interfere with each others battles, probably one of their worse codes of conduct. But their was nothing Phoenix could do now, first he had to take down this guy. So once again he charged at the man, his double bladed sword ready, however instead of attacking straight on, he quickly faked an attack and fluently moved to the mans left side and proceeded to attack him there.

The Drachman mercenary was shocked that Phoenix had somehow gotten through his attack unharmed. The Drachman mercenary then tried to block Phoenix’s attack but was faked out. So with Phoenix's real attack coming, the Drachman mercenary knew that even if he were to jump back the attack would still get him but luckily for him an another mercenary whose sight had returned came to help him. The Drachman mercenary then used his long arm to grab the other mercenary and threw him at Phoenix to block his attack. Shooting through the body of another mercenary in order to get to Phoenix much like what he had done earlier the Drachman mercenary then started to shoot with both of his guns to keep Phoenix busy while he ran toward a group of mercenaries.

He then hid himself in the group of mercenaries and then the group of mercenaries went after Phoenix to attack him. After the Amestrian mercenary and the Xingese mercenary had successfully killed the other two Lotus Assassins they started to move towards where the Drachman mercenary was.

OOC: Phoenix you where suppose to play as the other two Lotus Assassins because they were NPCs that were under your control, so because you didn’t I had no chouse but to say that the Amestrian mercenary and the Xingese mercenary had successfully killed them. I was also hoping that The Li Twins would post while I was busy because they had only one post in this rp but whatever.

Heian smiled softly, and turned to his sister.

"Ready, sister?" Guang nodded and grinned.

"Always." They moved back-to-back, and Guang spread her arms out, clicking her fingers and modifying the hydrogen in the air, moving her arms around and creating streamers of flame that spread around her body. Heian grinned, took a stable position, and punched the ground, creating a club out of the rock beneath their feet, catching it in his hands. He swung it over his shoulder, and pushed off the ground running at the first Mercenary, clubbing him over the head and knocking him to the ground.

Guang moved around her brother's blows, and started to attack the mercs with her flaming streamers, and setting fire to a pair of the men, who began to scream as their flesh slowly started to burn. As the two fought, they began to show exactly why they were Emperor Tejirou's personal guard. Men fell before them, got up and fell again, all the while not even touching the Twins. One last man stood before them, and Guang grinned, clicking her fingers once more, setting fire to the Hydrogen around the club. Heian swung, and knocked down the final man.

"Well, that was..."

"...easier than we expected."

Observing the events from afar Una could not help but show her anger. “Tsssk...” She thought to herself, more bloodshed. Realising her Chimeric self took control for a second, she griped her face in her palm. For a second her eyes flashed from green to red, the smell of blood alone was hard to resist. Perched in the tree Una had been in the shadows of this conflict from the beginning. While she desperately wished to end the conflict, a Drachman would be assumed an enemy.

This was not her desired destination but the village unto she wished to reach was across this battlefield. For a moment she regretted taking her task, looking to the pack at her side. Its contents, a priceless artefact destined for a temple shrine. It was not rare she accepted such a task. The money was detestable and the item valuable, but destined for humble things.

Seeking a path through the conflict, Una moved to a more forward position. Now she was only a few hundred yards from the ensuing battles, seeking a window unto pass through this battleground. From a moment she heard whispers of pain, many were still alive, though there wounds deep. She could help them, but it would be difficult to do so without being drawn in.

With little pause she decided; she would not have these men’s death on her conscious…

The gray haired large man watched the Li Twins easily beat the mercenaries. “Stupid kids think they can do whatever they want just because I’ve gotten a little older. Well anyway you two seem to be well trained and you two know how to work together so you two should be able to give me some entrainment.” The gray haired large man then grabbed two claymores that were as long as his body and started to attack the Li Twins. He first used one of his steel claymores to break a club on fire that the male Li Twin was using.

He than used the other claymore to disrupt the female Li Twin’s alchemy by the force of claymore’s swing changing the air current so she could not modify the hydrogen in the air. The gray haired large man was also planning to break the ground if the male Li Twin used his alchemy to disrupt it. Rushing at both the Li Twins to attack them with his claymores the gray haired large man said with a smile. “I’ve been in lots of battles and I have even fight with alchemists like yourselves so you two are going to have to do better if the two of you want to keep living.”

The eyes of the pair narrowed as they stood back-to-back, facing the grey-haired mercenary. They'd just been a little battered by him, and he seemed to have a pretty good idea of how to stop their Alchemy, which meant that maybe it was going to be a little bit more difficult. Heian's breath came out in short, sharp bites, and he looked at his sister, nodding at her.

"You shouldn't underestimate us." Guang nodded back at Heian.

"We are Heian and Guang Li - the Private, Elite Guard of Emperor Tejirou." The twins nodded, and smiled soflty, stepping back onto the balls of their feet, moving in fluid, perfect harmony.

"You think we go to where we were..."

"...focussing on our Alchemy?" They both smirked, and moved as one, running straight for the grey-haired Alchemist. Heian smirked.

"Boost!" His sister nodded, and ran up to him, holding her hands down. Heian jumped into the air, and was pushed over the man's head, standing by the wall of stone that was behind the group.

"And you thought you'd gotten rid of Heian's Alchemy." The boy hit the wall behind him, causing several cracks to spread out across the face. The glow of his Alchemy came true, and out of the cracks slid a Halberd. Heian grinned, and flipped it around in his arms, testing it out. He went low, and suddenly Guang attacked, sending a punch directly for the man's face, from out of the blue.

As soon as Guang had attacked, Heian sprinted for him, and swung the polearm in a wide arc.
