What was she doing in Amestris? No one could be sure, but then again who cared. By technicalities, Tatyana held no real place in RIOTE. Well, she did, but in the world, she was a shadow that could slip by, because honestly she didn't exist yet. However she was alive and breathing. Green eyes stared out before the empire before her. Yes, Amestris: The country where it all had spawned from. Amusing and not to mention it wasn't too bad a title for a decent movie. Her eyes were listless and roaming upon the city with dull interests. So many lights flickered and bodies moved about with their voices all raised in various Amestrain choruses. Fantastic.. her eyes were oddly amused while she paused to buy an ice cream from a vendor.

Vanilla was both sweet and delicious. She loved the cold on her tongue. Drachma may have been cold, but ice cream was a delicacy as opposed to just treacherous ice and snow that bombarded people as soon as they neared the border. Wind swept up her jacket and made her black hair toss and swirl in its beckons. Such unadulterated freedom from the frozen prison. What was freedom? Her eyes closed and enjoyed the feeling. Evil by birth; born to be another mark on the world, she had high expectations from her first breath and still the anxiety was something that could crush a person's spirit. Somehow she only felt a positive roll though. There was a possibility that her father wasn't really evil. That's what she'd grown to think. Then again, what child wants to see their father as a sociopath?

Her dairy treat dripped annoyingly onto her hand, luckily the one that she had the sleeve pulled up for. For a moment, she pulled back from the cone and licked up the droplets. She'd still need to wash her hands, but it was too good to waste. As she walked, her cone was finished, she would discard the papery part of it and lick her lips. A quick trip to the bathroom, had her fingers sparkling clean. THEN it was off to a small shop she'd seen selling swimsuits. That and a few summery clothes that seemed would be more fitting for her trip. Thank the Lord for her having money now! With a few steps she was within the building in no time; greeted by the salesmen and women who just gave her apparel an odd look. Not like Tat cared. that was why she was shopping anyways! The racks held many outfits that caught her eye, but her size was a little bit tough. She could figure something out, she was sure. Too bad Nyx was far too obvious for her to bring along. After all, a little girl with bright hair and wings was KINDA obvious. For now, Tat would judge her own clothing.

A dress. Or rather, several dresses. And high heels. NICE high heels, in fact. And some nice jewelry. As someone who was rather poor most of her life, and preferred minimalistic clothing anyways, these are things Jay was NOT VERY GOOD AT. But she figured she could give it a try anyways. She still needed something presentable to wear to Spade's wedding, and... Well, they DID sell wedding dresses here, and third time's the charm, aye? HOPEFUL romantic, hahaha! So here she was, at this store, wearing her miniskirt, her tube top, and a pair of flip-flops, just to avoid a "No-Shoes-No-Shirt-No-Service" incident. Again. Despite the fact she fit their conditions (BARELY), she still received some rather odd looks, as she glared at the people whispering about her clothes. "Screw off, why else would I be at your store? Nosy snobs~" Mmmmmhm, that'll show them! Probably. Or not, they kept staring. She responded by striking a pose and blowing a kiss behind her, with a wink, before strutting off. HAVE SOMETHING TO STARE AT.

Anyways, she grabbed a cart and strolled down one of the many aisles before realizing; umm... how does one use one of these mystical and foreign things referred to as a clothing store? Usually, she'd just go into a thrift store somewhere, find something skimpy comfortable, and get out, but now... NOW, she actually had to SHOP. Well, she COULD always get some help. Not from the staff, she didn't like them, already. The fat guy tring on a denim jacket seemed like a good choice, but his beard was off-putting. As was the old lady trying on biker helmets (though Jay did have to commend her style choice) Those eliminated, she turned to the only other person on the aisle; a woman with blueish-black hair, didn't look much older than herself, actually, who seemed EQUALLY confused as to what she was going to purchase. WELL THAT WAS QUITE DANDY, IT WAS!~

With a friendly smile, Jay strolled over, waving. "Hiya person!~ Name's Jay. So, um, hi, how you doing?~" PHASE  ONE: GREETING. ACCOMPLISHED. Gesturing to her cart, she said with a bit of a sheepish grin, "Erm, if you don't mind, could you help me figure out how to do all this... Shopping stuff? Not very good at shopping, not at all... I'll owe you one, if you help!~" PHASE TWO: ASK FOR HELP. ACCOMPLISHED. Rather discreetly, she glanced at the woman's butt. She had a rather nice bum, she did, but Jay only glanced, as she remembered the fact she was here PARTLY to get a wedding dress, possibly. PART OF THAT ENTAILED NOT STARING AT SEXY BOOTY, SHE ASSUMED. Probably. PHASE THREE: CHECK HER OUT. ACCOMPLISHED? PHASE FOUR: SQUEE IN DELIGHT AT THE ACCEPTED REQUEST FOR HELP? ... NOT YET!

A person was waving like an insane crazed lunatic.  Tatyana normally would have ignored, but the woman came right up to her.  Seems she had a natural talent to attract the crazies, huh?  Her green eyes rested on the blond woman with interest.  What was it she needed, exactly?  "Hiya person!~ Name's Jay. So, um, hi, how you doing?~"

Well that was quick to figure out.  It took a couple of seconds to register that this woman was seriously just asking a random stranger about her shopping endeavors.  Amestris sure was a strange place.  Then again, being away from home, this made Tatyana more of the stranger.  She couldn't help but laugh softly.  "Erm, if you don't mind, could you help me figure out how to do all this... Shopping stuff? Not very good at shopping, not at all... I'll owe you one, if you help!~"  A nervous smile for the moment made Tatyana find her almost adorable.. almost.  However, knowing who she was, she had to be wary of everyone.

The woman proceeded to glance at Tatyana's rear which she had to admit was at least a tiny bit flattering.  However it was just about the same amount of disturbing.  It wasn't that often to her pleasure, that people stared at her ass with approving eyes.  Whatever the case, Tatyana managed a glance to the cart and questioned what on earth the woman was prepping for.  A wedding...?  It LOOKED like a wedding dress, but seeing as Tatyana had never been to a wedding she could have guessed maybe it was juts a super dressy thing that some people wore to those classy dinners like Miss tandra liked to take her to.

She looked a bit harder at the dress.  No.  That was very affirmatively a wedding dress.  Who was she to question though?  Her own cart only had a small blue plaid miniskirt and some striped stockings.  Of course they weren't meant to be worn TOGETHER.  "I suppose a little help never hurt." She smiled and laughed softly.  "So what is it you're looking for, exactly?"  There was a silent nudging at the back of her mind that kind of told her that this Jay wouldn't have a clue, but it was always good to ask.

Yay, she was going to help the poor, rather lost, Colonel! Jay smiled happily, nodding in response to the statement of help being a good thing. Hmmm... Now what exactly DID she need, again...? "Mmmmm..." Thinking back, to a few minutes ago (GREAT SKILL, SHE HAD), she managed to, eventually, with a snap and a grin, rememeber what she'd came to get. "MKAY~ Well, I already found a wedding dress, though... Not really sure if it'd be right for me or not... Hehe, don't normally shop much, you can guess, eh?

Well, anyways, I also need a few other dresses, one for a friend's wedding, specifically, and some new shoes, probably stockings too, and some kind of jewelry. Dressy fancy stuff.
" Stuff Jay knew absolutely zilch about... Perhaps this girl was more experienced with this kind of stuff? Hrm... Speaking of her, Jay noticed she looked... Oddly familiar. It was in her face, really; it foretold her family, she looked like someone Jay'd seen before, someone she thought she'd probably never see again.

A rather frightening man in fact, but a man with charm, charismatic grace. Her father, perhaps? No, no, he was only a bit older than she, at least, as far as Jay could tell. A cousin perhaps? No, no; definitely looked like a father-daughter resemblance. And definitely Amestrian, but ever since he'd gone to Drachma... He'd changed... She knew who it was. Who this girl reminded her of, it was in her eyes.

"You look familiar... Like, related to someone I've met before. Tell me; would you happen to know an Aurelius..." It took a moment to think of his last name; it'd been a while, and while he WAS quite famous (perhaps even infamous), his surname still slipped her mind.

"Aurelius Nikavich? Y'know, the rockstar? Knew him when he lived in Amestris, but then he moved to Drachma, started writing folk songs. Didn't fly while, neither did his obsession with polar bear smut. Weird guy." Coincidence. A wonderful thing.
