DEscriptION:
→Zane Valentine, is tall dark haired and handsome. Believe it or not he’s had quite alot of female attention in the past. As mentioned before Zane’s hair is jet black and varied in length. His hair is usually parted to each side of his face and is longer near the front than the back of his head. His eye’s although dirty brown, can sometimes seem red when they catch the light a certain way. Instead of being muscular, Zane is skinny, having never worked out means that his muscles are only as strong as they need to be. Even though he may appear slightly underweight he’s actually an extremely healthy individual. Zane pretty much wears the same outfit every day. A white shirt with a wing collar. A black tie and a Grey waist coat with black buttons. A black dinner jacket with a tailcoat split into a thin pair. The jacket has large silver button going up either side, but only the bottom one on the left fastens it. The coat also has four silver cuff links. He wears black pants and shoes.

PERSONALITY:
→ Zane is a charming individual. He usually stays quiet, but when he does talk, people see that he has a calm smooth voice, that’s somewhat relaxing. The way he speaks is formal and polite, but with a rather facetious undertone which makes it very difficult to discern his thoughts. He’s a genius, and always uses his mind before he acts. Another trait of his is that he’s very cunning; he will usually tell a person what they want to hear, even if he doesn’t mean it. Because of this, it’s hard to tell were you truly stand with him. Zane, being the genius that he is, sees himself as more of an observer. He’s very willing to lets events play out, just to see what happens Due to this, he rarely makes an effort to intervene, unless it’s someone he cares about. This whole set up makes him very distance from everyone else, which is something he’s after. In contrast to this behavior, he isn’t a properly sinister person, yet he isn’t a good guy either. He believes that the only way to understand the world is to know good and evil, light and dark, black and white. He has a thirst for knowledge and loves a mental challenge. On the odd occasion that he does take action, they may seem spontaneous and eccentric, as his keeps his plans only in his head and likes to confuse others. Even though he’s a genius and can usually predict the outcome of an event, Zane can’t help but be an optimist, secretly hoping for the best outcome, even if the event in question doesn’t affect him at all, he hopes that it turns out best for everyone, who he deems deserves it. Zane is an ambitious individual, he wants to travel down the road of perfection, however he never wants to reach the end, as if he did reach perfection then he wouldn't be able to become any greater. To Sum Zane up he's a crafty ambitious(/Greedy) and eccentric individual, who will appear an ally at one moment and then appear a foe the next.

→ The reason he keeps people away from himself is because he’s scared of losing someone dear to him. Therefore he believes that the only way to prevent that pain is to never have someone close to him. That way he can’t lose them.

HISTORY:
→ Zane Valentine was Born into a wealthy family. He father who was Amestrian was a large businessman who had many links into the criminal world, from Yakuza gangs to assassins. He was a good businessman, but was lacking in the skills of fatherhood. Therefore he bonded with his Auregese mother. He lived his young life in Kobe where his parents met and eventually married. As he grew, it became apparent that he had a striking resemblance to his father, apart from his brown eyes, which he inherited from his mother. It also became apparent that Zane had received his mother’s intellect, as he was able to complete tasks at a young age that some children around 3 years older couldn’t do. He was sent to a private (and very expensive) academy in Kobe so that he could receive the best education possible. As soon as he started there were very high hopes from him. He was the in top achievers in every subject. However all his teacher commented upon a lack of enthusiasm and effort from Zane. The reason behind this was because Zane Valentine had already decided what he was going to do by the young age of 12. He wanted to follow his father’s footsteps and follow down the path of crime. However he wanted one foot in both the light and the dark, so he wasn’t going to fully commit to a life of crime. He knew that his mother would be upset about this ambition so he simply didn’t tell her. He continued his education at the same high standards. Although socially wise, he wasn’t very popular, there were always rumors that he would often trick other students, just by persuading them to do something, yet none of the teachers could catch him in the act.

When Zane graduated from his academy, he was told he could do anything he wanted; however he just joined his father’s business (much to his mothers dismay,) and over a space of two years became his Father’s most valuable right hand man. He had a talent for obtaining information that was helpful in keeping his father’s business at the top of the market, without relying too much on criminal gangs. Even though Zane wasn’t on top of the pecking order, he was content for the moment, not only was he gaining alot of experience dealing with the wrong side of the law, he was also enjoying it. However it soon came when Zane wanted to separate himself from the Valentine Corporation. There were more interesting things happening, in the country of Amestris, so with a little persuasion, he was able to get his parents to buy him an apartment in Amestris’ capital, central city. He decided that from now on, he was going to carried doing what does, but for his own enjoyment. It’s not like he needed a real job anyway.

ALCHEMIC ABILITY:
→ Zane's alchemy revolves around his preferred weapon, knives. he keeps upon him three butterfly knives inside his waist coat and dinner jacket.He wears a pair of gloves which each have a different ability. The first one is able to change the structure of the blades so that after a few seconds so they combust, create a explosion.

TRIVIA:
→ Although he hardly needs it, Zane is extremely agile, which makes up for his lack of power. His preferred weapon is are butterfly knives, which he's perfected using and he keeps three on him inside his waistcoat and dinner jacket.
He lives in luxury by living off his families fortune. Although technically he's unemployed he considers himself a 'information dealer' , someone who gives people info in exchange for something else. Since he's a person who likes to observe as much as possible, he often has the info you're looking for.

→ I LOVE THIS NAME! A comment for those who hadn’t realized. So yeah I previously had a character that had this name, but he was only in like two threads, neither of which had any lost lasting effect, so i got rid of him and replaced him with someone new, so I can have a fresh start at Rpging on MDA!
