Waseria's transmutations and alchemy
...........................................................................
CASE FILE: Transmutation Equipment
Waseria Hellavarian
...........................................................................
→ Metal Age Alchemy
TYPE:
→ Alchemy: Basic
LEVEL:
→1
FORM:
→ The Transmutation circle is etched into the bottom and top of each small metal cylinder she has, along with being etched into her hands via scars from her carving them there with a scalpel.
...........................................................................
BRIEFING:
→ Her Transmutation circle is a circle containing 4 intersecting bypassing triangles. Where the four intersect, there seems to be a triangular vector flower. The Strength of her alchemy, is that it is not used to manipulate elements. or, that it is even used as a form of ranged alchemy. it is purely for creating close ranged weapons. but, this is the primary weakness as well.
Because the alchemy has no range, and can only transmute certain materials (metals) and since each type of metal can only be used for certain constructs, this alchemy is highly limited. it has no use other than to create tools for the user to make and utilize.
a varied strength of this type of alchemy, is the fact of being able to produce weapons that can be used in most any situation. This allows for great combat flexibility for the user, along with also allowing them to have a large arsenal of varied weapons.
As for the knowledge required an understanding of metallurgy, smithing, and the mechanics of weapon in hand combat are all that is required. Another set of knowledge needed, is the exact measurements of one's body, along with their bodily limitations and strengths.
Now, for the mechanics.
Process of Use;
The first step is to combine the metal cylinders of smelted bronze she carries into either a row or stack against the palms of her hands.
the second step is to then begin the transmutation process by fusing the metal cylinders into one formed metal bar.
the third step is then shaving away the excess metal and shaping the desired weapon(s).
there is a fourth and optional process, where she can retransmute the shavings and left over materials back into smaller cylinders and bars, or reforge them then create smaller weapons like senbon and the like using the above described process.
...........................................................................
SPECIAL ABILITIES:
→ Bronze War
This ability allows the user to transmute short ranged, medium ranged hand to hand weapons. also, throwing weapons can be created. after some time and gaining more experience, shields of small radius and diameter, such as metal based bucklers can be formed.
short ranged level one weapons: Daggers, Dirks, Dirges, Short swords, Rapiers, Punching daggers.
Medium ranged level one weapons:Broadswords, Staves

REVISE
1) Please go through and correct your punctuation and capitalization errors.
2) At level one your allowed one process, this means she can mold one kind of metal. Tell us which one and correct the app accordingly.
Fix these and ill go back over this app, PM this account when ready.

REVISE
1) Please go through and correct your punctuation and capitalization errors.
2) Your allowed ONE process at first level, and thats actually what you have. Your Process would be the manipulation of the metal bronze to form various weapons. But why not use a more commonly use metal such as iron or steel as the base metal for this alchemy? Just a suggestion, considering those are stronger metals.

because, not ice this is METAL AGE ALCHEMY. she has to go in order of the metal ages. from bronze then up.

Re: Waseria's transmutations and alchemy
follwoing hesiod's acclamation of ages, bronze, silver, gold, iron, heroic. though im making a modification to change it to bronze, iron, silver will cover silver, but also other semi precious silver grade alloys. gold will not be transmuting gold, but higher grade alloys and types of steel and iron for instance, damascus steel and such, and will allow for the creation of more advanced weapons. whereas heroic will be her full mastery, and will allow for all base metals, if that is allowed.

Re: Waseria's transmutations and alchemy
You will have to choose one metal to start and you can expand on that as you level.

REVISE
Okay so, she carries bronze with her to use for her transmutations, yes? Therefore, bronze is the 'metal' of which she uses in order to create these various 'weapons', 'tools', etc.? Thing is your ability was named using the word 'iron' so that's throwing me off a bit. If you change gears a bit and instead of focusing on one metal, why not focus on WHAT you're creating? For example, why not limit your weapon-making ability to, say, just swords. Then you touch the ground, pull out a sword. Doesn't matter what it's made out of so long as those elements are found in the soil of which you are touching. This would cut out your other options though for now. But who needs a shield when you can block it by creating another sword from the ground?! I had this ability before or something similar so that's why I'm suggesting this. You'd only have to revise a little or you can keep this how it is, but specify that everything is made out of iron or bronze or whatnot that you carry with you, but you can only use ONE metal as Bro has reiterated. Hope this helps! Feel free to PM me or anything so that I can help you further and get this approved (finally). Sorry for the wait I take responsibility for this entirely. <3

Re: Waseria's transmutations and alchemy
the renaming apparently didnt take effect. it is to be METAL age alchemy. she uses various metals as she gets stronger. she has to smelt the bars for the other metals as well.

Re: Waseria's transmutations and alchemy
ok. let me explain AGAIN how my alchemy works. it is named metal age alchemy. using the theory of hesod's ages of man, going form bronze, to iron, to silver, to gold, then to heroic, as her way of explaining it.
she starts with copper and tin. then she smelts them into bronze. this, is the bronze age stage of her alchemy.
the second stage is iron. this allows the use of copper, tin, bronze, iron, and the metals and alloys and elements needed to make steel, which are carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, and traces of oxygen, nitrogen and aluminum. Alloying elements intentionally added to modify the characteristics of steel are: manganese, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, boron, titanium, vanadium and niobium.
the third stage, silver age. this allows all the previously listed, along with silver, titanium, and true silver, and begin to experiment in creating new metals by fusing those she knows.
the golden age, is misnomer. it does not use gold. it allows for her to take all which she already has, and create even greater and more complex metal fusions. she also can now transmute damasvus steel, and other higher grade "semi ascended" metals.
the heroic age, allows her to learn the secrets of diamond steel, silviril, and the "ascended" metals.
along with the metals, she also can make new and more ornate and stronger weapons.
bronze age allows for daggers, dirks, shortswords, and metal staves.
iron age allows for long swords, broadswords, axes, rapiers, full metal basic spears (spears, javelins, and pilums), and simple polearms (halberd, barchide, naginata.)
silver age allows for greatswords, greataxes, shields, throwing axes, flanged axes&swords, maces, advanced spears (guan do, corsecques, sebat, dangpa gichang trishula yari) advanced polearms (ransuer, partisan, lochbar axe.) and the creation of basic katanas straighswords.
golden age, allows for scythes, zweihander type weapons (they may seem, like greatswords, but asthetically different) claymores, flambergs, falchions, better katanas, along with chain whips, shuriken, kunai, sai, and chain scythes.
heroic age, allows her to create new and fantastic hand to hand weapons.
in order to learn the uses of these weapons, i am setting the requirement for her to train win a non death combat thread to be able to learn the combat mechanics, aside from reading books ic.

Re: Waseria's transmutations and alchemy
also, she must smelt and form the cylinders herself, learn the exact measurements and weights of the weapons, she can only create weapons corresponding to each age with their listed materials. also, she has to have the exact amount or more of each cylinder type to form the weapon. also, she is limited to the amount of weapons she can transmute, because over time, using her the transmutaion circles on her hands degrades the metals, and transmuting more than certain amounts of certain age weapon could destroy her hands.
another point: the weapons are only as strong as their transmuted materials, and most degrade over time and as combat goes on.
im building a durability and length of use table.

Re: Waseria's transmutations and alchemy
Okay before I even read any further, the first step (The Bronze Age Alchemy) is already your first ability. That's one process and level one only allows one process. So stop there. You can cover all weapon types without limiting yourself to certain kinds of metals, you know? But since you have, you're only going to be able to do the first step for now, make sense? Alchemy is taking what already exists and making something entirely new; once you've done that, that's already one transmutation. To accomplish what you want to accomplish at level one, you've got to come up with something whose results accomplish what you want in only one step/one transmutation. I can help you do that. If you want to stick to this, add the others when you level up and start with bronze. ^_^

Re: Waseria's transmutations and alchemy
that's what ive been saying this whole time anyways. ive just been trying to explain everything. i said she would start with bronze, but bronze is made when smelting copper and tin, so she could use those too at level one. ive tried to get this across: level one, is only bronze and the metals it is smelted from. and actually, the weapons do have to be limited because some weapons cant be used with lesser metals, or they would break. im sticking to historical accounts, and information. i understand what you are saying, but i wish you would read farther. i wrote all that out for a very good reason, and i dont want it to go to waste. my main point is, she starts level one with bronze, and the weapon process. the other ages are the next levels. something that im undrstanding that everyone is overlooking.

Re: Waseria's transmutations and alchemy
OH. Okay, just delete everything else and save it to a word document. Just put everything else in after you become level two/three/etc.
