Breaking the ice
Normally he didn't care. Flat-out didn't care about...mostly everything. Anything pertaining to Zeeva... yes, now, he suddenly cared about. Adapting to this awkward human emotion, well, Kira was having difficulties. He stared blankly at the mirror and then took the tie around his neck off, tossing it back at his bag that laid on the bed. Frowning, he threw on an old, worn-looking scarf that he had taken from someone he had been ordered to kill. He launched it to the bag also, crossing his arms in defiance at his own reflection. He would make this work; he had to wear something that met Zeeva's standards. It was troubling, but he was still enjoying it...somehow. His frown deepened when he realized he didn't have anything else. He only had two different ties (blue stripped and orange slant-stripped) and a scarf that was frayed in every seam. He didn't have anything back at Zeeva's place either so there was no way he could have brought better ones with him to the hotel. Last night, on a whim, they had stayed overnight here with the promise that today they would go shopping and Zeeva would show Kira some human food called ice cream. Kira knew very well that homunculi didn't need to eat since he had tried starving himself early on and it failed. After that, he never really had a liking for food anyway, but he was still willing to follow Zeeva. Ever since that day she had pulled him from the water... he felt he meant something like he had some worth to her. That feeling of value dispelled the need to die for the time being as long as he stayed around her. The moment she was gone, the darkness swept in and claimed his mind. Glancing around the room, he realized he was alone. The sudden terror struck him and he dropped to his knees, shuddering slightly. The tie. He had to pick out a good tie for her since she would come looking for him soon. Zeeva had left so he could get changed into something decent. Right, he was trying... Kira stood up and changed his shirt to an off-white turtle neck he had luckily brought with him. He fixed his wavy hair to the best of his ability and then slid his hat on, wondering what ice cream would taste like...

Re: Breaking the ice
Zeeva yawned sleepily. She wasn't used to getting up early. Okay so it was one in the afternoon... still it was early to her. Rubbing away some of the remaining sleep she fumbled at the sink, trying to apply make up. She had no idea why and after ten minutes of attempt, she gave up on the make up and decided to turn her attention back to her clothing. Her lip twitched faintly at all the choices she had, but most of them were dirty. Sighing, she rubbed her head, "Damn.. I need to do laundry." Her fingers rummaged through the closet until she decided on the first outfit Kira had seen her in. This was just coincidence... or was it? She was taking him to get ice cream. She didn't need to eat anymore, but she did out of habit, besides some of the food tasted very good. Like amazing! Especially ice cream. It helped that it was warm outside, that would make the dairy product taste even better. Finished getting ready, she stepped out of the bathroom and she eyed Kira who was deciding between his two ties. Note to self: Take Kira clothes shopping. She felt bad. She had brought like ten load of clothes on their trip to central. But then again she was Greed. For once she didn't have a cigarette in her mouth and she smiled in a welcoming way. "Well, I'm ready."

"Ah." Kira turned from where he stood and smiled slightly at her. She was wearing the outfit he had first saw her in when he had tried to kill himself...again. His smile increased and slowly reached his blue eyes. "I like you're clothes," He said in calm voice that held traces of emotion, instead of his normal monotone. He was talking more and more to Zeeva, trying to interact as much as he could with her because it seemed to always make her happier. It wasn't too hard, and besides, Zeeva had already scaled his wall of troublesome; anything that involved her now was something he enjoyed. He had never felt any of these emotions before, and in the darkness of his mind, they battled the cold-blooded killer who wanted to die. "Ready." He blinked at her and then walked to the disheveled bed (in which he did not sleep in) and dropped his bag back beside it near to the bundle of blankets Zeeva had given to him for his nest on the floor. Beds were too annoying, but apparently making them wasn't? Well, if it was for Zeeva, it was simple. He fixed the sheets on the bed neatly, and walked to the door, looking behind him at her.

Re: Breaking the ice
Greed yawned and laughed lightly. "Thanks." She grinned and linked her arm with his. "Come on, let's go get us some ice cream." She was smiling brightly. She really cared deeply about this boy. Her eyes showed it. She purred, almost amused as she watched his blank face look around. Leading him to the parlor, she motioned for him to sit. "What kind of ice cream do you want?" She didn't think he'd give an answer, but hell she'd ask anyways. He probably didn't have ice cream ever, by the way she was looked at upon talking of it. Standing still, she pushed her hair back and watched him intently. Awaiting his response as she listened to children playing at the nearby park. It was a bright day; sunny and hot. A perfect day for cold dairy!

As they walked, he took in everything and memorized the way almost immediately. He leaned into her slightly, their arms touching in stride. He had a ghost of a smile on his face all the while, but his eyes remained blank as always (unless of course his emotions were activated by something extraordinary to him). They entered the parlor and wonder entered Kira's eyes as he took in the cold smell and different colored ice creams. He looked quickly to Zeeva before sitting as she motioned him to. "I don't know what any taste like..." He trailed off, studying the sign that read off many flavors of which he had no idea of. In fact, he hardly had tried any kinds of food since he had no need for it. All he had to do was kill, sleep, and laze about until the next order. But now...everything was completely different. Instead of killing himself, killing someone, or lazing about, he was sitting here having ice cream with this woman he devoted himself to. He had become addicted to talking to her and smiling at her, and actually, doing anything that pleased her as long as it wasn't too exerting. He had also learned how to communicate better with her so that she would understand him. She was the only living thing he wanted to understand him. "Please...would you choose for me?"

Re: Breaking the ice
Greed smiled and laughed lightly, having figured that would be his answer. "Alright. How about I surprise you then." She ran a hand through his bangs, then walked towards the line. "Wait here I'll be right back." As she stood ordering the ice cream. She returned with a double scoop, the bottom scoop, the top chocolate. She carried a seperate single scoop of vanilla. Sliding onto the bench next to Kira, she handed him the double cone. "Tell me what you think of vthe two different colors.. if you want I'll give you a taste of mine too. This isn't soft serve, so you might actually have to chew it, but it makes it so worth it." She smiled brigfhtly and began licking her cone witha grin. She loved icecream, espoecially from this shop, however her eyes rested on Kira hoping he';dfind joy in it as well.

Re: Breaking the ice
Instead of just nodding as he always would have, Kira decided to be bold. "Okay," He replied, watching her go to the line with a half-smirk. He was both excited and nervous to try this new human food. Apparently it was cold, and he wasn't a fan of the cold. Hopefully he would like it though; disappointing Zeeva was the worst and most annoying thing he had ever encountered in his existence thus far. He shook the bangs from his face that Zeeva had unintentionally ended up dropping into his eyes. He enjoyed when she did that though; it made him feel needed. He took the cone from her when she came back over and stared at it awkwardly. Needless to say it wasn't anything like what he had expected. He watched her lick it and then stuck out his tongue, mimicking her. He pulled away with surprise and then took a huge bite from the chocolate part. Dark blue eyes widened as he moved the freezing object around in his mouth and swallowed it. "Cold..." He laughed slightly. He had noted that humans laughed in these situations of surprise, so he decided to partake if it would satisfy Zeeva. He took a bite this time from the other color. "Brown tastes like the chocolate bars Father gave me once," Kira said a bit forlornly. Father had only given a box to him for killing a bunch of people in a village down south. He had been drenched with blood at the time he had tried the chocolate for the first time. He cringed at the memory. "I like the other flavor better, want to try it?" He asked, trying to share his with her like she had offered him. He liked the cold taste even though he hated the cold and he was intrigued by the different tastes, hoping to try her's too. He was a bit surprised by how outgoing he was acting towards her this day... maybe it was his nerves being shot to hell with the anticipation.

Re: Breaking the ice
Greed laughed at his response. He was so cute! She loved the way he acted when surprised and she rested a hand under her chin, her eyes glinting from behind the shades. She seemed to purr in amusement. Listening intently, he liked the strawberry better. That was good, she preferred strawberry too. Chocolate always made you feel sick after sitting in your stomach too long. He offered a bite and she smiled softly. Leaning in, she aimed for the cone, but at the last minute, turned her head and licked a bit of the cream off of Kira's face! She smiled playfully, a cheshire smile as she pulled back and licked her lips. "Strawberry is always delicious." She offered her cone. "Want to try some of mine?"

Re: Breaking the ice
Kira was shocked at first, but he accepted her playful attitude almost immediately. The way she had tricked him was really intriguing. It brought a softer smile than ever before to his lips and straight through to his eyes. Feeling confident in his mimicking ability, he leaned in to try Zeeva's cone and took a small bite. Tasting it for a moment, he moved even closer to her, their noses almost touching. Hesitantly, he spoke, closing his eyes. "Thank...you." Kira brushed his lips tentatively against her's as he had seen other people do when they were happy. He wasn't sure if she would be bothered by it or not, but it was one of the first things that he wanted to do that he didn't feel too troubled by to go through with. When he pulled away and fell heavily back into his chair, he looked withdrawn again--almost sad, a dark look flaring up in his eyes. "Do I deserve this?"

Re: Breaking the ice
Greed felt her ears slightly red. She felt the brush of his lips and couldn't help but notice her heart seeming to skip a beat. She stuttered slightly as she replied. "N-No problem, hun." Her eyes were wide and she looked away, what a strange feeling. Her eyes looked at him again as he seemed exasperratted. She tilted her head. He was... depressed now. Do I deserve this? She shrugged, "You probably do.. however I know I don't." Shrugging her shoulders again, she licked the cone tentively, smothering the sad statement. It seemed she was getting too close to this kid...

Re: Breaking the ice
Kira was in the mood to talk, though he had never experienced this state of mind before and had no idea how to control it. His frown straightened out and his dark blue eyes glimmered affectionately at her. He took a large bite of his own ice cream, swallowing the strawberry and wincing at how cold it made his mouth. He moved even closer to her if that was possible, his eyes completely serious and no longer withdrawn. Kira studied her face, trying to scrutinize how she felt. He lifted his hand from under the table and placed it on the top of her head, his eyes growing even more caring than they had ever been before. "Why don't you?" He asked darkly, in an unaccepting tone that had never passed his lips before. And then it changed into one that held way too many different emotions, a troubled and confused look etched onto his face. "I think you do."
