DESCRIPTION:
→ Eyes a dark reddish brown color, Ran is quite a sight. Ran has hair long and black. The bangs and upper half of his hair is rather choppy and sort of messy. His bangs fall all over the right side of his ace, covering the tattoo that curls up around his right eye. The dark black tattoo as well designs the left side of his torso and his right arm, swirling and twisting all the way down to the outer of his right thigh. His skin is a bit tan, but only a light shade that sits beneath the silken black tresses with ease. Almost always his hair is pulled back in a ponytail that rests on his shoulder. An oriental piece keeps his hair pinned with a golden stick and circles on either side. The red hair piece as well having golden and scarlet designs upon it. Around his neck sits a red collar trimmed and gold with a sort of tassel hanging off in the middle, leading to his defined collarbone.

His body is well-toned and built strong, obviously he works out, but not over powering so it leaves him looking as a strong young man. Over his left shoulder is the three scars from the bear assault when he was younger as well as the one that sits cheek to cheek over his nose. His stomach is bandaged with a large red top over his arms and most of his torso. It sort of clings and leaves his pecs unhidden. A blade is sheathed to his back with an intricate belt and red tassels upon it to match. On his legs he wears baggy red pants that cut off below the knees and are tied up with a black belt to hug around his waist. Traditional samurai sandals compliment his feet with no tabi socks beneath, just his bare toes.

PERSONALITY:
→ Ran is a man of particular tastes. He likes his wine refined, his women classy and his dinner served at exactly 7’o’clock. His personality is one of a very snooty stature some might say. He seems to act as if he’s better than everyone and can indeed be rather snooty at times. His often description being that of an ass. Ran runs a game of making people mad. It seems to give him a thrill, whether it be through blunt words or elaborate pranks, he gets a good laugh from other people’s sufferings. As cruel as it is, he’s more of a comedian man, with dark comedy.

Ran is a bit of a loner. Due to his pride, he doesn’t like to accept help from anyone and in times he will get mad if someone offers him help. As if feeling insulted. His ego is as large as some might say possible as he sees himself as perfect at times and does not need to be assisted. Everything he does is some intricate plan he had put together. In his mind he’s never wrong and in the situation he MIGHT be wrong, he still is never wrong. Each mistake is never addressed again and each fumble is hidden from his mind.

Ran is an angry person, however his anger is shown in a way not exactly typical. His anger seems to be more of in his eyes through narrowed or annoyed slits and his body would just pour the essence of anger. To know he’s angry would be only a wild guess until he shot a glare or spoke in a demanding voice. He does not state how he feels and gets offended if asked to share his feelings. He’s an offensive person who will lash out when upset.

Ran is a flirt. He likes to use pick-up lines on ladies and at heart is a true and passionate romantic. He would never hit someone he cared for unless it was a family member being irredeemably dumb. He would buy flowers and chocolates for his lady friend or if it so happens a male friend. The unfortunate turn is that if Ran likes another male he will be even more of an ass to him, but when alone he would confess. Hard to control his feelings, he is a sweet man with a hidden heart. In most situations it shows his cockiness as well.

Lazy and the definition of is in his very make up. Ran is a lackadaisical man who is often unmotivated to do anything he should. Though he will get his work done, he tends to procrastinate for hours un-end before he even touches his stacks of paperwork. Often found playing hookie, he is a man who dodges responsibility.
Due to incidents with his little brother, ran is easily annoyed by little kids. He gets frustrated as he has no patience and refuses to deal with them. Because of such, Ran takes extra precautions just to make sure he can avoid children. Even though he has issues with his little brother, Ran will always make time for Tas. Though he may seem annoyed about it, he actually loves his little brother.

HISTORY:
→ Born an older son of the Akiyama family, Ran was the family title holder. With high expectations in his name from the start, he was simply seen as a young warrior. His training began at a young age. Ran never had much time to spend with his family and at times he never got to hang out with his younger brother, Tas. That was partly due to the massive age difference between them. At the start of grade school, he was still an only child. His age that of any other kid and yet he was simply bored. Ran did not pursue his education like he should have. His intelligence rather high, but his motivation low. He simply went with the flow instead of trying to go up and above the requirements. He was simply a laid back child who preferred to goof off.

Upon his entrance into second grade, Ran began his life as a prankster. Joking and simply being cruel to the teachers was a game he never stopped pursuing. What pleasure he felt in their disappointment. His destruction left some teachers in tears and soon he was placed in a delinquents school for problem children. Shaming his family name, they took him to counseling and attempted to fix the errors he apparently had. It took up until fifth grade for him to be ‘understood’. However by then Ran hated his parents.

The years in counseling and the problematic school made him look like a sociopath. Couldn’t they have just left him alone? Ran was upset and to make matters worse, he was expecting a sibling now. He had a new sort of image to show. His annoyance bound to his soul as he mentally disowned his to-be sibling for the simple fact, now Ran would not get all the attention of the family. He was simply the older brother whom had failed the family. He was an embarrassment.

Upon his little brother’s fifth birthday a fight was brought out. The young boy, Ran was mad at the family as they obsessed at Tas’s progress and how he was smarter than the growing Ran. Feeling neglected, Ran ran away from home. Into a place he barely knew, he was lost. It wasn’t long that the boy was attacked. Nearly mauled by a bear, He was lucky to be rescued with a slash over his face and towards the left side of his chest and shoulder area.

Bleeding upon the ground, he was luckily saved by a hermit. The man would simply be cold towards the boy but saved him out of the good of his heart. Nursing the unconscious boy back to health was a begrudging thing that the hermit didn’t really want to do it. As Ran regained consciousness, the man was rude and almost kicked the boy out, but saw potential.

Taking care of Ran, the man was busy and introduced the method of alchemy. For two years Ran studied alchemy with this hermit, learning the basics and the fact he could actually do it. It was practice for when he was found once again by his parents. How much trouble he was in was practically smoking from their bodies. He was taken home and abruptly yelled at before he simply cooped himself up in his own room. He began to study more, the alchemy.

Upon graduation, he wished his brother luck and signed up to go into the military. Without batting an eyelash, the man had registered himself as a military alchemist for his home country of Aerugo. He moved out soon and found a life away from the family. Inwardly he felt guilty for ignoring his younger brother, but his pride would never let him admit it. His years in the military gave him good experience.

1] The coding for Cretan (the language) is messed up.

2] You should remove all other than the first tier of his alchemy on here, as that section is intended to be a brief summary of each stage. Look at other profiles for indication, Ami~

3] Make a transmutation equipment app.

4] Far too much under one level ability. Compressing the plants' density into a blade and being able to manipulate the shape should be the ONLY thing you can do at level 1, since they both fall under the basic principles. I think we may already have a 'Botanist Alchemist', and if we don't, I'd suggest changing it to 'Botany Alchemist' as that rolls off the tongue more nicely =P

5] It's a well-constructed and nice app - but you might wanna slow down on the character front. I know I might seem like a hypocrite, as I've created five in the last ~3 months and tend to roll out chars in pairs, but it's just my little warning. Has anyone imposed a limit on you, yet? (I remember you talking about only being able to make a certain amount)
