DESCRIPTION:
→ Tas. Who is this “Tas” of which I speak, you ask? Why, to put things rather simply, Tas is a man of rather imposing figure; Upon a glance, one would be able to tell that he has jet black hair (Not hair made of ham, by the way), cut rather short, atop his skull. Under his skull, he has light skin and a set of strange optical sensors, called eyes. These eyes happen to be dark brown, almost black if viewed from a distance. Below these eyes, he has a nose, which is supposedly used for breathing and smelling delicious chicken and bacun. Beneath this sensing unit of nostalgic aromas lies a speaking device, known commonly as a mouth. From this mouth will, on occasion, arise a loud form of phonetics, often stressed and unstressed syllables, in the shape of words. This so-called voice of his happens to be both loud and cheerful, as he is often filled with cheer. Often, this mouth can be seen sampling the mixture of ingredients and dead animal flesh, called “food.” Upon further inspection, around his neck is a golden medallion, in the shape of a silver chain and a golden image of the moon, which he wears for the off-chance that it may provide some potential extraneous probability, in the form of what laymen may call “luck.” Beyond this accessory, going still further beneath his neck, he tends to wear rather simple robes and such, as fashion is not particular important to his self-image. Accompanying this simplistic attire, he dons no shoes, and a sword is often fastened to his belt. Also to be notes, Tas tends to have a rather long gait, considering his height, and this happens to work to his advantage in the ways of running speed.

PERSONALITY:
→ Three hundred words to describe Tasselhoff Akiyama? That would be a clear and definite summary of his personality, of course, but it would be condensed. I will try, for your poor eyes and brain, to keep it as short as humanely possible. To begin, we shall discuss the most prominent of his traits...
Tas has one thing in the world, ONE THING that he simply idolizes and looks up to with such fiery loyalty that most siamese twins would be jealous of his devotion. Ever since he first saw Raistlin Ambros, Tas was determined to be just like him, or as close as his bumbling self could be. (To be further explained in History) So of course, Tas would be like the little annoying puppy dog that does not leave you alone when you pass it cutting through your neighboor's yard every morning. Yes, he is THAT clingy. And of course, he clings to Yuuko, figuratively of course, at about the same degree as that dog clings to a bush or fire hydrant (That is not to say, he whizzes on Yuuko. That would be stupid and cause an international scene. Infact, he merely worships her at that degree, compared to the adoration he gives Raistlin. Basically, Yuuko is second in his heart, though not NEAR Raistlin's level)
Next up would come the slight envy in his heart. This comes from the obvious intellectual growth-stunt he was born into, and he therefore would be jealous of anyone smarter than him. The form this jealousy takes is usual in the form of a sort of awe-stricken respect and the desire to have their intelligence instead of his unusual curse-wrapped blessing in disguise. Of course, his IQ is too low to actually recognize his own amazing abilities as consolation, which only furthers the longing, which he views as a sort of carrot on a fishing pole.
On the bright side again, Tas ALWAYS sees the glass as half full, even if it has been drained dry. ALWAYS. Unless it is more than half full. In which case, he sees it as FULL. ALWAYS. Tas is also generally found on the happy side of the rainbow, and on the green end of the bridge. Thus, whenever anything goes wrong, he is usually rather cheerful, staring hopefully the bright side of things, 'knowing' things will turn out just fine.
In addition to being cheerful, Tas is also rather adventurous and fancies himself a nice exploration every once in a while. WHile he loves Aerugo to death, he will be often found travelling the globe, as if he were a Harlem Globetrotter or something. Tas tends to enjoy being in places far different from Aerugo, which accounts for most of the languages he knows, most of which he picked up on his travels. Also picked up on his travels are various souvenirs and mementos, such as a cup of sand from Ishval and even a snowball, carefully preserved, from Drachma. He calls his snowball "Jimmy" by the way.
Following up on his explorative nature, Tas ranges also from curious to flat-out nosy. Most of the time, if you have something interesting, you should watch your pockets, because Tas will want to examine it firsthand if he gets the chance to grab it. Of course he is no theifer, and would give it back. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't hold onto it for a while first, or forget about it until later...

HISTORY:
It was a lovely, sunny day, quite odd for December, to be honest. In a hospital somewhere in Takayama, a woman by the name of Yuki Akiyama was pushing and pushing and breathing and such, in the manner of giving birth. Standing next to her, holding her hand was her husband, Yoshiro Akiyama. After a long period of time, a small child came out of her womb, opening his eyes onto the beauty of the world, or at least the beauty of the hospital room where he had been born. The child was named Tasselhoff, after a friend of Yoshiro’s. Considering some conditions of his birth, he was placed in an incubator for two weeks, and upon coming out of the hospital, he appeared to be a normal child. Of course, it was only to be determined later on what exactly had happened in that incubator…
He appeared completely normal, average even, up until the age of sixteen months. It was then that he had, amazingly mastered the Aerugese language, at least to the level of a child ten years his senior. This was a shocking, but wonderful discovery. Even more shocking was that by the time he had turned two, he could speak fluent Aerugese and rather impressive Amestrian. He was at first considered a prodigy, until it was realized that while he was bilingual before he could walk, he could do little else. He struggled with counting, even to small numbers, like ten, and he found it hard to remember anything but the words that he had absorbed so well. It was almost obvious to the doctors what had occurred- While in the incubator, his mental growth had been drastically stunted. Of course, that also accounted for his remarkable linguistic skills; while his other subjects had been dangerously frozen in a state of disability, his left frontal lobe and Heschi’s gyrus had been improved at least as dramatically. What that meant was that his brain had basically adjusted itself, due to effects of the incubator’s radiation, to be a language processor of sorts; thereby granting him astounding skills in the way of language learning.
Now that it was known to his parents that their son had a mental disability such as this, they were rather stunned, and didn’t really know how to deal with the situation. So other than getting him some extra help and tutoring, he would go to school as normal, beginning at the age of five. It was at this time that Tas heard about a boy in town. At first, all he heard was how weird the boy was, and why he should avoid him and so on and so forth. He heard kids talking about him, laughing at him. He didn’t know if the kid went to school with him or not, just that he was supposedly a freak and he was always into books. Even if Tas could barely read, he enjoyed books too, and if someone was only two years older than him and reading THAT much, they had to be a total genius. And from that day onward, Tas was obsessed with Raistlin Ambros.
His obsession, as well as the obviousness of his mental problems, only grew with age; by the time he was a teenager, he had tried, and chickened out several times when attempting to approach Raistlin. He was usually too scared of what Raistlin would think of him if he met him. For someone as smart as him would surely ignore someone as dumb as Tas. Oddly enough, Tas hadn’t realized just how low his IQ was, until he got to about fifth grade. By then, everyone could tell. Teachers were rather sympathetic and did their best to accommodate him, while students were purely evil. Perhaps if his IQ had been higher, he would have thought to become cynical like Raistlin. That was perhaps the best feature of his disability; he wasn’t quite smart enough to believe in the evils of people, but was unfortunately smart enough to be truly hurt by their words. School was hard for him.
But after a grueling lifetime from the fifth grade up, he was seventeen when he learned of his idol’s appointment to the military of Aerugo. And of course, wherever his liege, his object of worship would go, he would follow. So it was then that Tasselhoff Akiyama would apply to join the military as well. And after much doing, he managed to get in. It took MUCH work, but he soon progressed within the military. Even without a strong level of intelligence, he rose in rank and was eventually appointed as an Imperial Guard, and soon after, he finally got to meet Raistlin. Or at least, he was appointed as his direct subordinate. And from that point on, young Tas had found a purpose in life; to serve Raistlin, and by way of serving Raistlin, serve the nation of Aerugo.

TRIVIA:
→ Tas, as stated, enjoys cooking. He sometimes makes snacks and gives them to random strangers.
→Tas happens to have a bad habit of getting lost... in his own house, on occasion.
→Following the prior trivia, he has a poor sense of direction.
→ Considering that he speaks at least eight languages rather fluently, this is the only often exhibited function of his savant status; otherwise, unless he finds a reason to discuss quantum mechanics for some unearthly purpose, he is just a rather dumb person, at appearance.
→ Besides certain mathematical functions required for quantum mechanics, the highest he can count is around 30, and the most complex math he can perform, unrelated to his expertise, is something similar to 15 + 10, which he needs paper and pencil to complete. He also can’t write, but can read to a small extent.
→As to his linguistic genius, Tas is capable of quite a feat; He can learn most languages rapidly, upon hearing the language, through context. Essentially, he does this in the manner that babies learn speech, except he has the advantage of speaking already. An example would be that if Blingness was speaking Calish, and Tas could guess what he was saying, he would then be able to speak the words that Blingness spoke. Of course, he can’t understand Sec’s Xerxian, and Rounen would be harder to learn than most languages. xD
→ Aerugese, Amestrian, Drachman, Ishvallan, Xingese, Crieg, Esparian, Sign Language and Cerisian

Interesting character. Be -careful- with the language learning, and I understand how he is able to know so many languages--you've used a valid reason.
