→ Seeing that the circle is used in non-offensive ways, it's safe to assume that it's not engraved on his gun, for example. The circle is engraved into his palm. No, not the fleshy palm. The palm of his automail, which is Michael's left hand, has the circle engraved into it.

BRIEFING:
→ Michael's circle is actually quite simple. He figured that it would be a good way to start and process from there. It starts with a, you guessed it, a circle. Inside that circle, there's a triangle. It touches the circle with its edges, but doesn't exceed it. Inside of the triangle, there's a square place on the bottom of it. And inside of that square, there's yet another circle. And that's about it. Like I said, it's very simple. And it's by design, so that it can be drawn fast if needed to.

The purification circle works quite simply. It uses the ingredients in the blood to make chitosan, a hemostatic agent that is used to stop bleeding. Those two ingredients are nitrogen and glucose. Chitosan is directed into the wound due to its design. Please note that it doesn't necessarily have to be bleeder's blood to make this work, but it usually is. It's quite effective, but limited by the fact that it only stops bleeding. To use this alchemy, Michael has to know about human blood. The composition and behavior, those two are both important.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
→ With his knowledge on Alkahestry and medicine, he came up with his Alkahestry. To put it simple, it can stop bleeding. And here comes how. Michael mixes glucose from the bloodstream and nitrogen from the bloodstream to make chitosan, which is an antihaemorrhagic agent, which means that it promotes coagulation. This essentially make the bleeding stop rather quickly. To make this work, the purification circle must be placed so that even part of it is above the wound. Then the process described above happens. The circle is designed to direct the substance into the injury, which is why the location can throw off a bit. Please note that it does nothing more or less than stop the bleeding. If the injury was serious or you bled too much before Michael's magic, you would need medical attention. Also, because Michael uses the ingredients to make chitosan from the patients own body, he/she may feel hunger after the process. But only a little.
