DESCRIPTION:
→ Cironis Alairu can be a tad intimidating. At 6'3" he towers over most people, and the automail replacement for right leg and upper body is more than a little off putting. The automail replaces his entire right side, all the way to his collarbone and right arm, including his shoulder blade. Because of the extensive amount of automail over some of the most vital areas of his body, Cironis has etched a counter transmutation seal (or like-equivalent) into the automail, to prevent both himself and others from rearranging or shifting the metal. However, once you've gotten past the obvious, his face is rather soft and welcoming. His emerald green eyes gently wandering the world in front of him, a few strands of blonde hair framing his face. A thin, neatly trimmed red beard blankets his chin, and yes, is thoroughly natural. The part of his body, that isn't automail is well toned, but not bulky. In addition to the he wears a formal dress vest, and a white collared shirt with a pair of jeans. A necklace dangles down from around the wrist that's still flesh, a metal-carved wolf head that seems to stare at the observer. On that same hand is a tattoo of what appears to be a hilt of a sword that disappears behind the sleeve of his shirt. Despite the obvious damage done to him, Cironis stands tall, meeting the gaze of any who care to send a glance his way. His voice is soft and quiet, sometimes to the point of others having to strain to hear.

PERSONALITY:
→ Cironis Alairu at first glance reminds you a lot like the kid in the back of the class who never spoke to anyone and never participated in discussions. He seems to be off on his own a lot, but any attempt to strike up a conversation will be well received. So when a nun sat down next to him on a bench waiting for a bus, and asked him the infamous question, "Have you accepted god into your heart, child?" She was surprised at how quickly he responded, and the surety of his voice. This triggered a religious debate between to the two... At least until the moment her bus arrived, leaving Cironis smirking and waiting for the next bus. He also speaks quietly, never using more than a few words, speaking only as much as he believes needs to be said, still lending itself to his reserved personality. However, Cironis likes being around people, just not a part of them. Hence why he'll sit towards the back of the room, or the edges of an area, instead of closer to a group. This type of behavior has also led others to believe Cironis is a spy, or operative of some government. Extremists might say he's a "Big Brother" agent, the other side claiming him a counter-operative for one of the bordering countries. None of these are true, however. And if there's anything Cironis truly hates, it's attention. However, if it's forced on him to deal with a group of people directly, he is capable of idle conversation and politeness, but he never finishes a meeting or conversation with "goodbye"; instead, he says "Good luck", or "fare well", sometimes even an "Until next we meet", no matter who he speaks to.
Anyone who knows Cironis with any depth would know he's a protector. He cannot help but step into a conflict to end it, peacefully if possible, but using applied violence if necessary. When Cironis happened by an alleyway beside a crowded street, and saw two men beating another one, instead of waiting to see if anyone was going to help, he walked out towards the duo and called out to them. The pair immediately stopped, and looked to Cironis. One of them spoke up, "You want to walk away." "Ya, stay back, if you know what's good for ya." All the while Cironis kept walking forward, "I'm warning you man! Stay back!" By the time Cironis reached them, they found themselves looking up at him, and his automail arm. "Boo." And the two thugs took off with all haste.
If asked what does he think of himself, he may respond with, "Chivalrous and honorable. But I cannot be the judge of myself."
LOVE:
→ Rain, chess, friends, family, weapons, Amestris, people, the color blue, cheese, cherries, music (jazz, classical, and especially blues), and knights of legend
HATE:
→ betrayal, homonculi, loud noises, vanity, stuck up people, ignorance, the "greater good", and villains.
DEEPEST SECRET:
→ Cironis has contemplated suicide on several occasions. The only thing has stopped him is how selfish suicide really is, that doesn't stop him from imagining it though.
IDOL:
→ King Arcturus (Arthur), and other like individuals.
...........................................................................
HISTORY:
→ Cironis was raised by a pair of middle class parents who founded their small grocery business in Dublith. Both of Cironis' parents believed in an honest living, and raised their son to those ideals with the idea of one day giving him the business. However, Cironis showed a liking towards the tales of fantasy and knights saving people and slaying dragons. While not the path they chose for him, Cironis' parents realized that they couldn't deny their son what he wanted for himself, and so began educating him in matters of military and historical battles. Shelves and shelves of books on military expertise did Cironis go through as he grew, becoming a skilled student in martial arts. However, for every military and martial book read by the pupil of war, it was tempered by the ideals taught by his parents and another book about moral good, right-doing, and other fables.
When Cironis turned 14 he began to dabble in the arts of alchemy. As ever, he read through entire bookcases of the stuff, practicing the simpler arts before gradually becoming more and more complex. Alchemy is an unforgiving art, and Cironis knew a single mistake could cost him his life. For 4 years Cironis practiced rigorously, even going so far as distancing himself from his parents, spending more times training and reading than socializing. On the eve of his 18th birthday, Cironis put forth his name among the Armestrian Military and was accepted shortly after. Due to the nature of his training, Cironis did not specialize in any particular art of alchemy, other than learning to counter other alchemists, and was deployed to support squads of soldiers who may face alchemists or homunculi.
For another 2 years, Cironis served admirably, and loyally. However, during a mission on his final tour before he would be allowed leave, a rogue alchemist his squad had been hunting ambushed the squad, and attacked the defender, planting a powerful unraveling seal on the man. Only through his training and a miracle did Cironis' seal to counter the shredding of his own body actually work. Half of his squad carried the dying man quickly to the nearest medical facility. The rest of his squad held off the alchemist as it ran off, it's objective it thought complete. Cironis should have died that day. However, he was too useful for the Amestrian government to lose. Alkahestry was preformed upon his dying form, sealing his wounds, and leaving him with little more than stumps. The missing portion of Cironis' body was replaced with automail, and they got the alchemist back on his feet within a year.
Now, while no longer officially a part of the Amestrian military, Cironis' services are employed as an extended asset, to whoever needs him. In most recent times, this has been Jet Black, a General at Fort Briggs and a dear friend of Jet's. Cironis was present at the battle for West City against Drachma, and then later for the counter-assault. It was during the counter attack that Cironis was lost behind enemies lines, and labeled MIA by the Amestrian Government. He has been held captive as a VIPoW (Very Important Prisoner of War) camp under direction of the infamous RIOTE. He has since been able to get out a short radio wave in the hopes of rescue.
...........................................................................
ALCHEMIC ABILITY:
→ Cironis specializes in the anti-alchemy and has become exceptionally proficient at being able to counter other alchemist's powers. When Cironis puts down the array, it must be tailored to a nearby array he wishes to counter. This involves an understanding of the science involved in the array he wishes to counter. Depending on the complexity of the alchemy involved, he could only need to know the element involved, or he could need to know the exact details involved (and in most cases is rather impossible to know).

REVISE
- Color code the Amestrian bit in trivia and attach it to signature later on as a reminder.
- You may want to edit every bits involving "Alchemy Spells", Alchemy is not magic, but a byproduct of extreme esoteric physics and chemistry. When changing or influencing things with Alchemy, it is referred to as transmutation.
- When cancelling out Alchemy, it is always all or nothing rather than the first FMA anime's policy of "using up all your energy to tire yourself out" in transmutation. So it's best to implement a counter seal without some anti-energy dome, it has been demonstrated in one topic in an NPC that when they used it, it cancelled out any flow of "energy" to use as a catalyst towards transmutation, just throwing that out as a suggestion. It was done with a rather simple reactionary Alchemy seal.
- Doing human transmutation like that is impossible, even with several souls. If you meant he was healed via Philosopher Stone from the jaws of death, then it makes more sense in your history. And Alkahestry can save him without the need for souls to be harvested, seeing how it is frowned upon in general. Even then, if they had the resources to use Philosopher Stones to heal Cironis, they could very well easily have restored his missing body portions.
Address each of these points and I'll take another gander at your application. Have a pleasant day.

You may have the philosopher stone in your history healing you, but why hasn't the government healed his limbs which they can very easily restore in functionality? By the way, on a side-track, change Gaelic to Creig.

Re: Cironis Skycaller (re)application
From an in-world perspective, I would imagine such resources limited. Given that he wasn't an officer or high-ranking member, instead of simply healing his limbs, they opted to replace them automail. As Cironis is often in the field, perhaps they believed it simply more prudent to replace the limbs with automail, rather than healing them. From a player perspective, the idea of a character with automail limbs offers an interesting side to the character, and (hopefully) offers an opportunity for interesting roleplay opportunities.

Re: Cironis Skycaller (re)application
Philosopher Stones by default are abhorrent though, when one discovers their truth. And the government definitely no doubt has information about the Philosopher's Stone functionality. Being composed of the lives of many people's souls, they are wicked stones that trespass equivalent exchange. Before I approve you, change the philosopher stone bits to healing Alkahestry rather. They can perform healing functionality just as well in that way, if not better suited. They don't restore limbs, but do close up wounds without scarring. At least you can put in Automail by then into place.

Re: Cironis Skycaller (re)application
In short, what Niko is trying to say, is that philosopher's stones are not something the Amestrian or any government for that matter has the means to acquire seeing as it is MURDER. If you were with RIOTE, that's a different story. Automail is also an entirely different matter when related to the philosopher's stone because instead of merely saving his life, the stone can create something from nothing, bypassing the laws of Alchemy and acting instead as magic, therefore, reconstructing his arms. Then, there would be no need for automail at all. Since that is a stronger aspect of your character and there is no justification of a philosopher's stone being obtained or even used, please take it out. Replace it with alkahestrists saving him by clotting the blood flow immediately or an alchemist castrating the wound with fire.
I also added Amestrian Militant to your title up top since you have 1st Lieutenant there, making me assume you aim to continue in the military. Now, about his absence... I'd say he could be captured by RIOTE in the Drachman war, maybe mixed up into the Cretan forces in the War in West City after the bombs level Amestris. Anything is possible. And only now he's found his way back. Add it to your history and then pick up where you left off with a topic. Also, I'm guessing you want to be with Jet at Briggs? It would be interesting if you were lost in Drachma and only wandered back in to Briggs or something. That may be interesting. Thoughts?
