      DESCRIPTION:
        → Well, let's start at the top, shall we? Short, spiky reddish-blonde hair tops his head, although he has a tendency to let it grow longer on occasion. Moving down past his forehead, you see dark eyes, almost black in color. But they always appear blue, thanks to the blue-tinted sunglasses he almost always wears. He's got a small nose and a thin-lipped mouth that's always curved in the slightest smile. Glancing over at his left ear (well, right if you're facing him), are three holes. You don't see the holes though; a silver hoop and two silver studs fill the piercings in his ear. Moving down, if he were shirtless, you'd see one scrawny fellow. He's strong when he needs to be, but he definitely doesn't look it. He's tall and thin and he likes it that way. He's in a constant state of slightly tan but he burns easily. But of course, he's the type of guy who always forgets sunscreen.

Now contrary to popular belief, Vlad does in fact wear clothes. He is most often seen in a tshirt and cargo pants, with an oversized fluffy green winter coat. He wears some gym shoes normally, though he also has some steel-toed boots for tough work. He does have a classy outfit, of course. It's a classic black suit with a white button down shirt and a thin red tie, with black dress shoes. Due to his nomad nature, his clothing selection is minimal but it suits him well. He walks casually, as if he doesn't have a care in the world. He's fast-talking and fast-acting. He always has something about a movie to throw into a conversation. His voice is neither too high or too low, but he's very good at mimicking voices to go along with his movie quotes. He seems fidgety when he talks because he has trouble staying still. But you won't find someone more tenderhearted and helpful. He takes odd jobs partially for the learning experience and partially to help out as many people as he can.

        PERSONALITY:
        → To begin, understand that Vlad loves movies. Like, a lot. Part of his personality is in fact the personalities of the various characters he has watched. He can be seductive, comedic, vengeful, and kind all in a single instance. He's a very good actor although he'd rather just play the part of himself. Underneath his amusing character voices is a heart of gold. He's always very polite and dislikes violence, except in movies (of course). He's a fast-talker and often needs to be reminded to talk slower, otherwise his words may slur together. He enjoys helping people and will try any odd-job once. He dislikes being angry so it takes him a long time to reach his boiling point. But when he boils over, it isn't pretty. As mentioned before, violence is not Vlad's forte. Violent words, however, are more to his liking. He can use his words to hurt just as much as he can to heal.

Vlad loves to make friends and remembers faces well. He's deeply devoted to his mother and even to his half-brother, although they've never met. He's not exactly loyal to any place in particular, preferring the wandering life of a nomad. He will try just about anything once, whether it be food or activity. Well, as long as it's not violent or illegal. Vlad prefers to stay on the good side of the law, thank you very much. Vlad has a tendency to be initially shy around girls and he's always chivalrous; something his mother taught him at a very young age. From the movies he's learned that some girls like it and some girls don't. But he'd rather have the girls get mad at him then have his mother hear tell and smack him in the head. Vlad is just in general a good guy with a penchant for incorporating movies into his life.

        HISTORY:
        → Vlad was one of those stereotypical babies, you might say. He had a mother and a father. No, his parents weren't married. His father had lost his first wife only a few years before Vlad came into the world. He wasn't ready to marry again, but that didn't stop Vlad from coming into the world (that and unprotected sex). Anyway. He learned to walk, talk and use the potty all right on time. He was a bright youth but he was never much into books. Films is where his passion lay. But where else could it possibly be when your mother was a beautiful actress from the early Drachman pictures? She would show him the intricacies of the character development, why they angled the camera just so. It was so fascinating to young Vlad as he grew. Now, I did mention that Vlad's father was not married to his mother. But that's not to say that Ivan wasn't around. Because he was. He did love Vlad and Lida in his own way. Lida told Vlad that he had a brother and sister from Ivan's first wife and that one day they would be a big family. It was only a matter of time. Lida's career was still in her prime and she took Vlad with her on many of her sets. He didn't exactly receive a formal education on movie sets, except what he picked up from the tutors there for the child actors. But it was enough to get him along.

Around the time Vlad turned 12, he started wandering. He would disappear at random intervals during the day and just, walk around wherever he happened to be. It's where he found his second love, the wind. He would just follow wherever it led him. Now, it didn't always lead him into good things. Occasionally it got him into trouble. And so the next time he was in Amestris on set with his mother, he picked up a book on alchemy. And the rest they say, is history. Vlad soon spent all of his time either watching movies or learning to manipulate the wind. It drove Lida crazy sometimes that he would neglect his studying. Ivan... well. He wasn't too fond of it but he never got the opportunity to really do anything about it. When Vlad was 14, he was in Moscow with his mother. It was there that his mother received the news that Ivan was dead, taken out by military personnel afraid of his communist ties. Not only was his father gone but Vlad found out that he would never meet his sister (she had died in a blaze) and that his older brother was nowhere to be found. Rumors rushed that he had been taken to the Gulag.

Lida moved out of Drachma after that, taking Vlad with her for many years. They stayed in London, Creta where she could continue her acting career. It wasn't until Vlad was 20 that Lida finally felt safe moving back home. She kept her home in Novgorod but mostly stayed at a flat in Moscow. At this point, Vlad did not accompany her. Rumors had been stirring that Drachma was leaning towards communism and Vlad wasn't particularly keen on such things. Besides, the “wind had taken him” as his mother would often say. He loved the idea of wandering the world and had no intentions of stopping. His constant film watching had given him a stronghold on multiple languages. So he kissed his mum farewell and off a'wandering he did go. The years were good to him. He helped many people and learned so much. Then he heard it had happened. Czar Loki was gone and Drachma was fully in hold of a communist leader, Alena. He also heard of a battle fought in Moscow. For the first time in 4 years, his feet headed in that direction. He needed to make sure his mother was okay and... perhaps it was finally time to meet his older brother.

        → Ummm... I like wind. A lot. 'Tis my favorite element. And despite the fact that it not useful whatsoever in war (yet)... I WANTED IT. So Vlad appeared and was like “I'll do it!” And thus, Vlad was born! As long as I made his list of 100 DVDs. Sheesh. (Which I will add once I finish it, mwahahaha.)
