      DESCRIPTION:
→ Csilla is often described as “cute” by strangers, but it's not a word she often uses to describe herself. She's average height and relatively skinny. Like her mother she was gifted in the hips and bosom, but she's not one to flaunt what she has. Her muscles aren't overly defined but she has little trouble moving around bulky furniture or other cumbersome objects. She has shoulder length golden-blonde hair. She normally wears it tied back with loose strands hanging down. She can be seen with it down occasionally and even with a half ponytail on one side, although that's usually when she's feeling giggly. Her eyes are a warm brown and they sparkle with a hazel gleam when she's doing something she loves. On the opposite side, they can turn flat and the color of dark chocolate when forced to do something she dislikes. Her skin can only be described as sun-kissed; she always appears to be slightly tan, although she makes no effort to sunbathe.

When Csilla is not in military uniform, she usually wears “comfortable” clothing. And for her, comfortable is a pair of jeans and a button down shirt. She also loves wearing oversize hooded sweatshirts, along that's usually just around her house. Csilla's favorite types of shoes are boots and she has far too many pairs. She normally wears heeled ankle boots, but she has pairs that vary in height (heel-wise and length-wise) for whatever mood she happens to be in. For special occasions she has several cocktail dresses as well as a floor-length dress that belonged to her mother. It is the only outfit she will not wear boots with.

Csilla always walks around with a thoughtful expression on her face, constantly observing the world around her. She has a tendency to walk slowly, often with a lilt in her step. It's almost like she's walking to the tune the world around her is playing. She smiles when talking to others and her entire face lights up when the topic is something she truly loves. She is softspoken and there is a calming tone in her voice. She rarely shouts and instead grows steadily quieter the angrier she becomes. When she tells stories, it is easy to become captured in the tale, as she grows animated when telling it.

        ...........................................................................

        PERSONALITY:
→ Csilla is by nature, quiet and thoughtful. She is a keen observer and is always thinking about the world around her. She also has an artist's eyes and she can often find the beauty (or lack-there-of) in anything. She didn't have too many friends when she was small, which forced her to turn to books as her comfort. She is intelligent and thirsts for new knowledge. Yet she is also a touch winsome, loving classical mythology and fairy tales. She is kind to anyone she meets, although she is also reserved. She is hesitant to attach emotions to certain people, lest they leave or hurt her. She is the type of person who sees order within chaos. She can be a little messy but always seems to know where everything is. Due to the flightly nature of her thoughts, she often acts a little absent-minded. She is especially wary of any men showing romantic interest and does not know how to react when being flirted with. She often becomes more shy or makes some witty remark to throw the guy off.

Csilla very rarely gets angry and tries not to shout. She hates losing control of her emotions and often responds to bad situations by becoming quieter and more reserved. The quieter she gets, the angrier she is. Csilla enjoys listening more than talking and enjoys viewing situations from every angle. She isn't sure why she is good at helping others (when given the chance) but she likes to think that like her mother, she is a helpful person. She is not one for performing violence but will defend herself and others in order to maintain peace. She enjoys a good laugh and a good cry now and then; she finds it important to remember happiness and sadness in order to be more grateful for where you are. Csilla is an open book, to an extent. She is happy to talk about her parents, grandparents and home in Creta. But she keeps two incidents in particular very close to her heart, afraid that people would judge her for them. One instance of violence and anger and one of fear and... fascination.

        LOVE:
→ Sunlight, moonlight, books, classic mythology, her locket, candles, classical music, drawing, boots, strawberries, Elastor, Shula, pretty dresses

        HATE:
→ Losing control of herself, complete darkness, the smell of burning flesh, bullies, liars, cheaters, people who hate books

        DEEPEST SECRET:
→ She seriously burned two people using her alchemy when she was 15 and she has no idea how she tapped into the higher level skill.

      IDOL:
→ Agalia Angelis Thanos (her mother)

        ...........................................................................

        HISTORY:
→ Looking back, her life is a blur. Csilla can't say that she was dealt extremely serious hardships in her life but nor can she say that it's always been easy. She was loved, first by her parents and then by her grandparents. But within the happiness of her life, tradegy always seemed to strike. Many years later, she doesn't remember much about her parents. She remembers small things, like her mother's laugh and a shadowed face surrounded by golden hair so like her own. She remembers her father's big arms and how they scooped her up and spun her around. And although she was so small when it happened, she remembers the day her parents never came home. She was 2 at the time and had been spending the day with her father's parents. She remembered crying as the shadows got longer and still no came. She had been sitting in her grandmother's lap as her grandfather went to answer at the knock at the door. That was the first and last time she ever saw her grandfather cry, when the news came that his son and daughter-in-law had died in a car crash. Csilla survived and learned to live with her grandparents and her life seemed to grow happy again. Her grandparents told her a lot of stories and they discovered quickly that she loved learning new things. She was very shy as a child and did not make many friends in her younger years. She was content with her books and eventually a small sketchpad. When she grew into her teens, she finally seemed to come into herself. On her 13th birthday, her grandmother gave her an old diary that belonged to her mother. Csilla was fascinated to find out that her mother had once studied alchemy and had put her own findings in there. Csilla read the diary front to back and over again for weeks. She began sketching her mother's transmutation circle in her sketchbook and wherever else she could. All of her books from the library were related to alchemy and she couldn't learn enough to satisfy her need.

Her grandfather did not approve when she began to practice her mother's light alchemy and forbade her from doing it. Being a rebellious teenager, she continued to do so, in the safety of her bedroom at night. She began acting out more, even seeing an older boy after she turned 15. She tried to continue to be a good grandchild but it seemed to get harder and harder as her grandfather put down more restrictions. She didn't realize that he had been sick until she got a call at school that he was in the hospital. Guilt racking her, she stayed with her grandfather's bedside, quietly crying for forgiveness. She was never completely sure how her grandfather found the strength to sit up and hold her that day, but she cherished the moment. After the death of her grandfather, Csilla and her grandmother leaned on each other for support. But even she could tell that her grandmother wasn't going to be around much longer; since the death of her husband she had been looking weaker and weaker. She began fleeing the house late at night to be with her boyfriend. She found she couldn't bare the loss of someone she cared about so soon. One night, after spending much of her evening drawing, she fled again. She went to the spot where she usually met her boyfriend and there she came upon a disturbing site. Her boyfriend was there, yes, but he wasn't alone. When she made herself known to the amourous couple, her boyfriend turned into someone she didn't know. He began to spit out horrible things, laughing at how Csilla thought he could care about her and that she was weak and alone. And then he began to make fun of her grandparents and even her parents. Csilla stood there, anger seeping through her entire body. She imagined the circle in her mind, the one that rested in her back pocket on a piece of paper. She wanted to get back at him. She moved closer to him and the girl, concentrating hard. As the light disappeared from around them, she could feel a warmth from her head down to her toes. Angrily she thrust her hands outwards, waiting for the light to burst forth. She watched in horror as the light became far brighter and stronger than she imagined and heard horrified screams from the people in front of her. Csilla gasped as the last of the light left her and she felt her world crumble. Then everything went black.

She awoke groggy and in her own bed. Her grandmother sat weakly on the edge of the bed, watching her. Csilla asked what had happened and her grandmother responded by asking if she had a transmutation circle with her. Csilla nodded weakly, reaching into the back pocket of her jeans, showing the circle she had drawn earlier. Csilla's grandmother explained that like her mother's alchemy, Csilla's seemed to be tied to her extreme emotions. While she had concentrated on one aspect, her emotions had fueled a great outcome. She explained that the boy and the girl he had been with were badly burned and in the hospital. They would survive but she thought it was best for Csilla to leave Creta. She explained that Csilla's mother was from Amestris and moved to Creta after falling in love with her father. She could go to Amestris and gain her citizenship through her mother and make a new life for herself. Csilla didn't want to leave Creta or her grandmother but she knew that soon she would be alone in this world. She knew that Amestris would indeed offer new opportunities for her and for her alchemy. She vowed then and there to never let her emotions overpower her and her alchemy again. Days later, as her grandmother lay in bed, breathing her last, she gave Csilla a final gift. It had meant to be for her 16th birthday, her grandmother explained, but felt that now was a good time. It was an golden oval locket. Csilla knew that should it would be time to leave soon, as she cried beside her grandmother's bed.

And so she left, as quickly as she could. She buried her grandmother beside her grandfather and parents when the time came and whispered her goodbyes. She sold her grandparents home and belongings, and left on the first train out of town. She didn't look back. She was frugal, eating cheap and sleeping cheaper. She needed the funds; she had to make a home in Amestris. It took her a few weeks, but she made it to close to the border of Creta and Amestris. Her last night in Creta she found herself at a small cafe, nearly empty. She sat in a dark corner, rereading her mother's diary. The other customer sat, noisily eating his food and the owner was casually cleaning up behind the counter when the door opened. Csilla didn't notice that the room had gone totally quiet until she looked up to realize that the owner was suddenly gone and the other customer looked alarmed. She looked at the person who stood in the entrance and choked back a gasp. A young man, close to her own age no doubt, stood wrapped in dark clothing. His red hair was cropped short and in his hands he held a katana, which was pointed towards the customer. She couldn't completely hear what he was saying but she figured out that something bad was going to happen. The customer yelt out a strangled yelp and struggled to raise out of his seat to flee. He didn't get very far. The red-haired assassian ended his life, quickly and with skill. Csilla let out a horrified gasp and then froze as the man faced her. She also scrambled up and began to move, attempting to keep away from the figure striding towards her. She held her mother's diary tightly in one hand and cried out when she stumbled and fell. She could feel the man growing closer and closer and finally heard him stop in front of her.

Her mind went blank; she had no idea what do. Everything seemed so hopeless. She squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for it. Waiting for the blade to come down. Waited to be reunited with her family. But all she felt was... nothing. Tentatively she opened one eye, then the other. She looked up slowly at the person poised over her, still ready to drop a blow at any moment. And she watched, stunned, as he slowly lowered his blade. Taking the opportunity she backed up and reaching a wall, managed to pull herself up. She stood, shaking as he carefully replaced the blade in its sheath and turned to walk away. She don't know what foolishness made her open her mouth.. but she did anyway. "Why?" Her eyes widened as he stopped and looked back at her. The emotion, or lackthereof, in those icy blue depths shocked her through her core. She managed to stammer out, "N-..n-..not that I'm not grateful or anything..." He kept looking at her for a moment longer and turned forward again. As he walked through the doorway, she could've sworn she heard, "I don't know.."

She stayed in the same spot for what felt like hours and when she finally felt that she was safe, she left. She caught the train in the morning for Amestris and kept going straight to Central City. She claimed her citizenship through her mother and took her mother's maiden name as her own, leaving her troubled past behind. She found odd jobs here and there and owned a small flat all her own. She kept to herself mostly although she did manage to find a few people she could call friends. She studied hard and when she turned 17, applied to enter the military in Central City. She worked under Spade Aeries and specialized in defensive maneuvers. Csilla was there and helped to win back South City, reeling in the trimuph when she was caught up in the bombs.

Then everything started to go downhill, literally. Csilla tumbled head over heels into a trap ditch and back into a person she never expected to see again. The red-haired man who had spared her life so many years ago was trapped in that ditch as well. The meeting was... well, it wasn't exactly cordial. Elastor Ito of Creta's Royal Guard was not at all like Csilla ever expected him to be. She found him to be cruel for the situation they were bound together in, yet awoke after a rock to the head to be at his home. Talk about confusing. And the downhill slide continued. Elastor fell ill and instead of being grateful for her tender care, he practically threatened to kill her then and there. And so Csilla fled back to Amestris, nursing a broken heart... albeit it a broken heart that she couldn't figure how it came about.

She wrestled constantly with this idea that she was falling for someone who had threatened to kill her both times she had met him. And just when she thought she had it figured out, the call came. Amestris was deploying into Drachma, supported by Xing and Creta. And what better way to jumble a girl's feelings than to have her protect Dietrich of Creta, right alongside the Royal Guard? Needless to say, it was extremely jumbling, considering Csilla kissed Elastor right in the middle of war-torn Moscow. Terrified at what she had just done, she fled for a second time back to Amestris, fleeing a lost cause in Drachma. She turned her head towards South City, hoping for a few days to relax and just... figure her head out. But somehow she knew that wasn't going to happen.

Oh, imagine that! Figuring her head out had definitely not happened in South. Not at ALL. Csilla had enjoyed spending quality time with her dearest friend, Shula. A huge weight off her shoulders had been sharing her rather confusing emotions for Elastor to someone else. The margaritas had definitely helped Csilla get it out, and as expected, Shula had been more than understanding. More girl-power would have ensued that night but instead, there was a surprise visitor! Shula's father Phillip had arrived, fabric in tow, and turned Csilla into a mini-model. It was a weird experience, to be sure but... it had been a fun one!

And the modelling in the loft had paid off when out of nowhere, Elastor showed up in South! There were no words to really describe how that day had gone. Magically frustrating was probably the simplest. But that romantic dinner cut short had illuminated the facts to Csilla. Elastor was the man for her, as little as she knew about him. She would've been able to learn more about him that night if he hadn't FLED, plainly telling her that he could die with what he had to do to save his family. It had been absolutely frightening and Csilla managed to gain herself a nice Porsche out of the deal. Okay, confusing is an understatement when it came to Elastor.

Her time in South came to a close with a party in the gardens to celebrate the election of the new Chancellor. It had been a good night with another gorgeous dress from Phillip. Then it was farewell to the warm South and back to Central, because frankly, work beckoned. And that's where Csilla has been, doing her duty as Head of Defense. And inbetween work and her regular brunches with Shula, she's been planning on a road trip. Because what better way to break in her “new car” with a leisurely drive out to London?

Life never exactly turned out right, did it? Csilla's personal road trip to London became a best-friend-grabbing, knee-scraping, emotional turmoil of a journey. That being said, it did turn out alright in the end. Shula learned to butcher the word “rabbit” in Cretan and Csilla's relationship with Elastor took another baby step forward. It was officially decided that some serious communication was in order and over the next few months, they worked hard on it. Csilla was loathe to find their relationship without any official label, but she had to take her battles.

And oh, battles was quite literal. Those grimy RIOTE people decided it would be fun to start a World War, dragging Central City right into the middle of it. Csilla helped to evacuate the entire city and even managed to save Jay Furor in the process. But as quickly as the ravaging RIOTE had come, they had left. Rumors flew around that the leader of RIOTE had shot himself on the roof of Central HQ, but even more rumors flew that after that, he had stood back up! SERIOUSLY??? All Csilla could really do was take a few deep breaths and keep on plugging. Amestris lost a great many soldier during that spring and it was hard on everyone.

On top of coping with everything else, Csilla got the ball dropped in the summer that she was going to be running the Central City Festival. Insert Csilla's jaw on the floor right here. It's been a whirlwind few months, with the occasional visit with Shula, but mostly preparing for this festival. Csilla wanted to make sure that EVERYTHING went well. It had to. Right before the festival, Elastor came to visit and stay with her for the festival and that was great. More than great, actually. Now all that's left is to just get through the festival! Here goes!
