Lucas walked down the street, his beard which had grown so long had been shaved off and his hair neatned up. he had taken a couple of months of from work to recenter himself and see again what he fought for. so he had walked from central city to briggs and back. all he had taked with him was his sword and a canteen. now he was back and was prepared to fight for all that he saw and experianced. He had seen the endless fight for survival that happened everyday. he had watched mountain lions and grizzly bears get into fights over territory. he sat down on a bench and watched the petty arguments of the people around him. most of them believed that they made the world what it was. suddenly a religious nut walked up to him and said "Hi, would you like a ...."
"Get lost"
"what?"
"get lost before i smash your face in." and the nut took off so to not visit the hospital that day.

Nyx wandered down a street in Central, a largely oversized blue robe covering her two feathery wings. Since the battle recently, where Aurel had announced RIOTE's return, she had been ordered to stay on the down-low. But she thought, who would suspect a 13 year old girl of being in RIOTE to begin with? So she ignored what she was told, confident no one would assume the least obvious thing since the beginning of time. But as she walked, she saw a weirdo get scared off by a very annoyed looking man. He seemed sort of aggressive and was probably not a nice person, but her experiences with the pedophile and Nicky in West City taught her one thing: ALWAYS do EXACTLY what seems stupid, such as falling for the Candy In My Van trick, because you ALWAYS make new friends that way... Even if the pedo died at Nicky's hands for that to happen... So she decided to happily approach the guy.

"Hello! My name is Nyx, what is your name, sir?"" She skipped next to him, staring up at him, grinning Nyxishly.

Lucas watched the man run off when from behind him a young girl's voice interrupeted his thinking. letting his head drop back as to look at the girl he noticed a couple of things right off the bat. first she appeared to be around 12-14 years old, second her hair was a bluish-green, third she appeared too innocent to be roaming the streets of the city by herself, and finaly under her robe she had somthing hidded most likley a pair of wings. " so Nyx was it? my name is Lucas krieg. now I have a question for you what type of bird was used Chimerae?" tilting his head back up he slowly stood up and turned around to face this Chimerae straight on. He had faced Chimeraes all over the world and did not what to face one with out his sword no matter how young she appeared to be.

Nyx cocked her head and smiled at him. He seemed friendly enough, since he wasn't scaring her away like the crazy man from before. So she answered his questions happily, without ever assuming he may not be looking out for her best interests. " I'm half crane! See?" And against everything about don't draw attention to yourself, Nyx, she dropped the robe, revealing her plain white dress and a pair of large angelic wings, which she fluttered cheerfully. Though lacking the ability to fly, they did look pretty nice, and maybe someday she could find a use for them. "Oh yeah, nice to meet you Mr. Krieg! Or should I call you Lucas? I like Luke too! You have a very nice name. And how did you figure out I was a chimera? Usually the robe fools everyone! Except folr when i forget to wear it, then people sort of stare, but it's nice to feel noticed for once, though I'm not supposed to be no- Well, I don't really like being noticed a lot, you know." Phew! Almost blew her cover!
