CASE FILE: Custom Weapon
Yuuko Kagura

→ Doppelganger Yuuko
TYPE:
→ Human Doll
FORM:
→ Jointed Mannequin Marionette

BRIEFING:
→ This custom-made weapon is an actual weapon, a spionage tool and an instrument of art in one and the same. Namely a human-sized Marionette not unlike an enhanced mannequin. It is usually customed and dressed to look exactly like her owner Yuuko Kagura – of course that won't fool anyone on second glance, but in falling darkness, hectic situations or similiar events, it's hard to distinguish the Doppelganger from an actual human regarding visual appearance. The fake human is made of a mixture of synthetic materials, engineered to come close to human flesh in touch and density, but being way more lightweight and non-flammable. It's overall weight is about half as much as that of the owner.
It is used for stage performances involving dance, as well as for more gruesome deeds or imitating other persons for various reasons, naturally related to Yuuko's business.
Control over the mimicry mannequin is gained via means of puppetry and therefore extremely thin but durable special piano wire, as good as invisible to the naked eye, which is pulled, literally, by use of the inconspicious dancing fans (but can also used bare handed with gloves to prevent chopping ones fingertips off) and correpsonding dance moves (or simple pulls, swings and the like, depending on situation). Tension springs within the body parts and joints enable the doll to mimic almost any human movement even with just pulling and swinging it's strings, employing force and momentum generated by said springs to do so.
To prevent need of a acting cross like classic string marionettes, the torso of the unreal human is equipped with a bit of electronics that helps it to stay standing straight, namely a gyroscope. This also results in it's greatest flaw and weakness: strong magnetism, which would disturb the spinning motion of the (metallic) 'scope, pretty much making the puppet drop to the floor. The other one is the strings, a clear path to the master is always required, because the strings shouldn't be pinched to control the movements precisely.
What makes it dangerous is, for one, the possibility to simply choke people with a string or a few of them, and also the complete immunity to bodily pain, fear and the likes. The other, actual weapon, are concealed blades like common swords, about as long as the mannquins forearms, hidden in same body parts. Able to spring out and retreat from and into the artificial palms on command of a simple string pull, they make deadly weapons to everyone in touching range and also work for sword fights. Those blades spring forth with force equal to a strong punch, able to pierce flesh and tissue, as well as crack and splinter bones because of being pointed and sharpened.
PICTURE:
→ The Doppelganger Yuuko is shaped exactly in the image of Yuuko herself. Thus it is pretty much just as tall as she is, albeit actually being two centimeters taller and with just about the same body shape and physique. Surprisingly enough, it nevertheless does not weigh the same as it's mistress, but only about half as much. Talking about thirty-three-ish kilograms here.
It's detailed appearance, however, differs from Yuuko significantly. Below the clothing that generally matches the puppeteer's to the finest detail, lie doll joints that connect the movable parts with each other and the torso, instead of a human-like smooth connection with internal joints. Same goes for the hands, feet and fingers. Easily spotable because of obvious, complicated doll-jointing.
The greatest difference, however, makes the face. It looks exactly like Yuuko's and besides each other, a difference would be hard to tell. If it weren't for the never-changing neutral expression on the doll's artifical face. And it's eyes. They miss the life, the glow, the humanity in them. And the doppelganger does not breathe nor blink ever. As well as it does not speak.
So for a dedicated observer, it is possible to tell Master and Slave apart, for just a glance or two, it's almost impossible. Especially if the ventriloquist is in hiding (generally the case).
Sometimes it is disguised, clothed and made-up to impersonate other people if needed.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
→ As if the human-fake of a puppet is not special enough already as it is, it is manufactured so it can be taken apart with as much as a pull of a certain set of strings by undoing the joints between body parts. Thus makes basic attacks like cutting or tearing nigh to pointless, because the effected joint can just be detached out of the way if the master reacts quickly.
Detached single parts can be reattached by the mannequin itself, if it is instructed to do so and has at least one hand left to use, but if it splits into all available pieces at once, reassembly on it's own is not possible.
Removed bodyparts are, however, still connected with strings and have to bow to the master's will. So they can, even after splitting up or being removed by force from the main body, move to commands. for example charge or fling themselvse at targets, and are by no means harmless.
