DESCRIPTION:
→ Having something of a blonde hair with messy hair style, but short namely. A requirement for the Royal Guards is to have a short and clean hair, and a lack of facial hair to assume clean appearance without them looking barbarous. His eye color happens to be blue, as his body is athletically toned and muscular. Pigmented white, pale notably, as his mannerism of dress happens to be that of uniform often for being a Royal Guard for the duration of his service. His appearance that formed of good physique stems from discipline and daily exercise to maintain his abilities enough to cater to the monarch as one of the finest of Creta.
His Cretan definitely has a Calish accent (Scottish accent) lightly hinting at it, and not heavy at that, being something of a somewhat heavy pitch. His walk and sway is disciplined, rigid, and upright. Unwelcoming if anything. As his clothing, the only clothing he has for off duty is a button up shirt, some slacks, Oxford shoes, socks, and that's pretty much it. Maintaining a rather simple wear despite such grand and posh group he works in. Such is the bearing of the Royal Guardsman, stone faced and unflinching, that, and a tourist trap for obnoxious photo snappers and those trying to provoke him.
His uniform comes in three variations. The armored sorts where he wears a cuirass which latches unto both sides, made so for ornamental reasons, but it can very well function as armor against bladed attacks, able to easily deflect thanks to superior making, and it doesn't weigh down upon the wearer. Beautifully decorated with jewels around embed to the edges, a sash of golden crisps, along with the Royal guard attire worn underneath. Wearing a steel helmet of the olden times with white plumes adorning downwards. Wearing sword sheathe to his right waist, along with cavalry boots that reaches to his knees, gloves that take up much the forearm, and a helmet bearing the crest of Dietrich's. His pants notably white and tailored to suit him so perfectly. Worn on parade occasions often, along with when accompanying Dietrich
Without his armor, he would be wearing a less tighter set of black pants with a red outline going from the side, fancy shoes, black gloves, and a tunic that covers his waist. The difference is, he wears a bearskin hat, or his Calish bonnet with a pom pom on top due to his nationality within Creta. And also he wears looser pants that don't chaff as Oliver puts it. His gloves aren't worn over the sleeves, that, and he still wears his saber nonetheless as it is required for ceremonial reasons on all times to be on the Royal Guard. But it doesn't make them necessarily archaic in fighting.
When out in the battlefield, they adorn an entirely unceremonial set of clothing meant for a modern warfare. Oliver wears a red beret, and a set of BDU with camouflage depending on where the fight is taking place in. The kevlar vest though is often shaded in some way or form despite the camouflage slapped unto it. Usually darker than the rest of the clothing. Having several pockets to carry things, holsters and grapple along with rope to be able to quickly scale places, rappel, that, or in fact zipline. Along with carrying modifications for his weapons, the presence of the saber is missing from this clothing because it is a modern war. Henceforth there are knives in place instead to sheathe to be used instead. Symbolically as well, he wears the red beret, the identity for which he is indeed a Royal Guard, with the crest slapped unto the hat, to be recognized by anyone who has fought against Creta before. (Any other things I missed out, just look at the picture, it's pretty self-explainable thankfully enough to just stare at it, just assume pockets on vest and pants, sheathes and holsters around the belt, and a grappling hook with rope placed also on the belt and to be used at any time. Oh, and the sleeves are always rolled up past most of the forearm save for an inch of it unless in Winter environments.)

PERSONALITY:
→ A man often mistaken for quiet, disciplined and reserved, maybe even moody from a glance or even first impression. When that is never the case, that is just his working attitude, he doesn't really have much things exciting to do but hope the day goes on faster, or he gets an opportunity to test out his firearm. Not exactly hot headed, merely bored often. But he welcomes opportunity to earn prestige and glory, and doesn't mind the conditions he has often been put in. He has been disciplined not to make much of it save for do his job, and keep his focus on to notice something unusual. Hence he is something of a perceptive man if not edgy most of the times.
His true persona lies about being a pervert in hiding. Not showing his perverse side as Royal Guard regulation frowns upon fraternization. So for the most part he has an over active imagination working up when things are not serious. The best way for him to pass time as well and pretty much tune his fine creativity on things to make himself seem amused at trivial matters at most. Otherwise for the most part he'll look for other distracting mediums to pass along the time because his job takes much of the time slot, and is something he has been performing for a while too as well.
But as training dictated, along with a plethora of experience, Oliver is a grizzled veteran who has fought for the crown of Creta. Exemplary action along with taking human lives often has made the novelty of killing another to fade away for the man. To a point he thinks almost nothing of it. It is his job, and he has done it because his job dictated it so. That's his excuse, and it helps him sleep everyday that he is protecting the nation. Further conditioned to emphasize to perform the crown's tasks without regret, or even a moment's hesitation unless told to not perform said orders.
Something he would follow to the T of course, as he is a part of the Royal Guards. Loyal soldiers who have an interest in protecting the Royalty, the reigning Royalty, for prestige, wealth and their future. Oliver's reasoning being that it is for the prestige, and wealth, along with that nifty dental package he got to make sure his teeth aren't bad.
Yeah, so one may infer that Oliver is greedy, and loyal. But not traitorously greedy. The package he is getting from his job is enough to sway him in his interests to protect whomever sits upon the throne loyally. After all, his job is something many would dream for, and some others would not. Probably not. But anyways, not only that, it'd look good on his resumé for him to have shown to have served with the Royal Guards as well. So he has a healthy interest in his future as well.
And like his name says, Oliver has the patience of a Saint. Years of standing on guard and having obnoxious tourists snapping pictures of him and trying to make a reaction out of him has made him really patient enough and stone faced as not to give out a reaction. Asserting he has a high willpower and mental fortitude as NOT to punch and beat the crap out of the tourists. An eternal battle between himself and tourists is one of the focal points of his life that he would often remember their faces and swear vengeance upon them humorously enough by going to their houses, and flinging a brick into them as his revenge fantasy.
But that aside, he has a sardonic outlook to things, and is quite cynical, shifting his attention span to just doing his duty, take his pay check, go home, and hopefully be knighted one day so he may have a definitely set life in the future and a relaxing time spent later on. That much he wants to be assured of. Very much well said, he looks keenly towards humor and amusement in his otherwise everyday dull life when there is no combat or anything to partake upon. Anything to keep him entertained and rather sharp, and what have you. As Royal Guards, despite the prestige, when spent guarding, is awfully dull per se. Unfazed by so many things at this point that Oliver is very hard to surprise, extremely hard, all thanks to adapting to all tourist tricks they tried pulling off on him.
LOVE:
→ Relaxation, amusing things to stare at, something not dull and exciting, staring, being stone faced and impossible to read, lemons, life, giving lemons, and of course he drinks the occasional whiskey from time to time.
HATE:
→ Tourists that snap photo of him when he is on duty, tourists that try to provoke him into making a reaction, tourists in general, Carraig and their inhabitants, and finally he is bigoted against Amestrians and refers to them as Krauts.
...........................................................................
HISTORY:
→ The Royal Guards, a group dedicated to protecting the monarch of Creta with their lives, and are often picked from the best of soldiers grizzled through war, and have displayed outstanding and exemplary service in the conduct of combat. Often through fires and toils of war and combat is what makes them nominated to be candidates to guarding the monarch, for the monarch would want the best protection to be given out from the most disciplined and elite, and has benefits to back it up for it as well.
Another thing is that they are required to know how to fence and use swords proficiently after being nominated for training, ride horses in Equestrian fashion, be able to formulate strategy, intelligence deductions, have the patience to withstand tourist provocations, often wear ceremonial tunics, able to shoot very accurately, familiarity with tactics established, follow guarding routines to the T, keep hygienic, AND guard the monarch of course from any transgression. From coup d'etat's, to assassination attempts. They are the strongest line of defense to be used, well equipped, paid and trained for, along with prestigious enough to be the dream of ladies who fancy a man in uniform.
What's there not to like about the job? And if performed well enough in the Royal Guard, they can perhaps become dubbed and knighted by the monarch himself! Oliver was such a case, one of the many Royal Guards, and dreams big of a chance for to rise above his station at life.
Coming from a long line of writers and poets from the highlands, pure Calish and all, along with players of the bagpipe, he had decided to break off the family mold by becoming a soldier. Most of his family line dying off from bagpipe related accidents oddly enough, and it has been a curious thing to him thus far.
It was mostly unexpected for him to become nominated as he is one of the soldiers who had partaken in the Bosch skirmishes against separatist rebels, those who had thrown a coup d'etat against the royal crown, coinciding with Dietrich taking over the crown.
So fast forwarding a couple of appointments, sudden booting of the old Royal Guards and getting in the new ones, training in the camps to teach all the skills to be a fancy high hat, and some several odd letters written back to his loved ones, Oliver was a Royal Guard in his first days, doing absolutely... nothing.
He guarded things around, as required, and has done his priorities along with enviably watching couples walking along and making out. Something frowned upon in the Royal Guard is having a family because it means dedication to the monarch might be second rate. Not that it matters anyways to Oliver, he has actually a good treatment from this new monarch, Dietrich. He didn't care much to think about how he is apparently a usurper and how he had killed the previous royalty.
His job was to protect this new monarch, he has royal blood, and that is enough to account for him. Somewhat seemingly ambitious, too ambitious but a little ambition doesn't hurt. It makes men great, or just really ruin them horribly. Knowing many tragic plays by heart, and a few religious scriptures has made Oliver something of a clergyman around. An unofficial one at that. Along with a cultural cosmopolitan.
Going around and about seeing strange things throughout his career as a Royal Guardsman from alleged UFO's flying overhead at night, all the way to couples disappearing before him which baffled him to no ends, that, and the fact alchemy is ever so present, had made Oliver something of a mild conservative. Linking such ideas to theological affairs as he had pondered a great number of things. That, and he composed of some odd number of poetry.
That thus far, Oliver's boredom finally has a relief to it at the break of Dietrich's blitz, that he might see some action to burn off some rust and actually put what he is trained to do besides the occasional termination of any would-be assassins to flex his skills against enemies of Creta.
After all, his share of combat against other Cretan forces and trained assassins is now against Amestris, another military powerhouse around to contend with, that perhaps this is a chance for him to advance, and probably use those new tricks he always wanted to use against the enemy.

TRIVIA:
→ Knows how to mount and steer a horse as an animal vehicle transport.
→ Is proficient in fencing and knows the ins and outs of using a sword. Able to back up his claim of being a proficient swordsman.
→ Is light on his feet and pretty much has a keener and quick reaction to avoid situations where others have died.
→ Is able to play the bagpipe well enough when in parades, and the bagpipe players are unavailable, he is often asked to play it in their stead.
→ Tends to sit on roofs in his time off, drinking and reading Vogue magazines, that, or probably just reading a case of PlayBoy to pass along the time.
→ Oddly enough is pestered by tourists as some even challenge him in ways by throwing their fists and stopping inches from his own. Unaware they are provoking a trained killer... and this is not uncommon either, as long as he wears the ceremonial uniform, there'll be LOTS OF tourists around him swarming him and snapping photos, taking poses in front of him for odd reasons.
→ He speaks Cretan (Scottish accented English) and hints of Calish (Scottish Gaelic).
...........................................................................
ALIAS:
→ I shall be referred to as Lord of Underpan-- well, Niko is fine. Or Oly, or BlingBling. Up to the people.

→ I play as Stuka.
CREATOR'S COMMENTS:
→ Tally-ho!
