Cries of an empty soul Empty Cries of an empty soul

Post by Rolego Thu May 26, 2011 1:59 am

Rolego was on the verge of total self implosion. He did not know what he was...what he would do...or even if he was even being looked for. Ever since he had left his position and home, he had not seen life or limb of anyone. Which made him feel very alone and aside himself. He had been walking for what seemed like an eternity. Trying to run from what had happened to him, knowing he could not really escape it. He carried the burden no matter how far he walked. The night was cold and brisk, and being in the ruins there was not alot of food. He for the past few days had to live like an animal.

Everything that was edible and catchable, he ate. From small rats and rodents, to small game such as young deer. But nothing had come across him these past few days...and he sat there, not wanting to move. He wanted to die, but his new animal instincts made him want to push on and survive. His human self....was now just a dull spirit, and was about to diminish. But, a few hours later, he finally found himself standing and shook out his fur. Then weakly began to walk around the ruin, anything right now would ease his stomach.

After he caught a few rodents and ate them, he found himself sitting down and looking up into the black sky...just counting the stars....he could not stop thinking. His memories trampled his mind relentlessly....and he began to let tears fall to the ground....he made no noise..but he was in shambles. As his tears fell...his spirits began to fall with them. He could only hope something could actually not run at the sight of him or try to kill him...something that is almost impossible.

He then turned and went back to where he was lying before. A small hole in the wall, it was not perfect but it kept him out of the elements...a little. It was batter than nothing. As he reached the hole and laid down...he took a look at his paw.. stretching the web in between his toes...just thinking...if he could possibly live like this.

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Sec Invidia Fri May 27, 2011 12:20 am

Sec walked, completely at peace through the empty wasteland he called his ancestrial home. He smiled contently, a rare thing from him when he wasn't with his Captain. He hadn't dyed his hair recently, so it was already back to it's natural blonde almost, with tinges of black. That and his golden eyes made anyone who would see him actually believe he was full blooded Xerxian. As he walked though, he spied an oddity: An outsider, if you will. It appeared to be a dog of some sort. He glanced at it, and then decided that, while he was bored, he might as well see if it was anything of any importance to him. He whistled gently, and pulled a ham sandwhich from his small travel bag. "Here boy, come here. I have a treat for you. My name is Secundinasci Amor Invidia. Nice to meet you." He smiledto himself as he thought of the sheer irony in his full name alone. From Xerxian, it translates to "The Second Born Of Loving Envy" It made no sense at all, but each part could be broken down. He was the first born child of his parents, as he'd discovered earlier on. And he loved nor envied anyone. He snapped from his thoughts to look back at the peculiar looking dog...

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Rolego Fri May 27, 2011 1:44 am

Rolego was beginning to fall to rest...his mind falling and rising from sleep and being awake, almost like a se-saw that never stopped operating. He was trying to work through his options...some seeming impossible. What if...he did return to the barracks? What if he had the chance to explain himself and got out of this scott free? Also, if possible, find a way to turn back to normal without killing himself? After every thought it gave him some hope, which was great to have now. Being alone in the middle of nowhere, any kind of self courage would be great.

He then caught a scent. His head rose faster than a rocket used for fireworks and looked around with his senses on high alert. After a while he finally saw what he was looking for. A man..out here alone? Why would he be out here in the middle of the night, sight seeing? Rolego began to rise himself to a sitting position with his head slouching over his shoulders. He was beginning to feel somewhat territorial. This place had been his stay for some time. He did not like anyone simply walking through unless it was food.

The closer he saw this person get...the more he felt his chest begin to rumble...his more primitive instinct was beginning to grow. As well as his want to stay hidden. He did not want to hurt anyone,it was not him. But, if anyone got to into his area and got into his bubble, he cant help but snap. But then...he began to see that he was seen. He began to hear the whistles from the man and the whistles made Rolego even more upset. He was not some dog...

Here boy, come here. I have a treat for you. My name is Secundinasci Amor Invidia. Nice to meet you. Rolego's growling stopped the moment he saw the sandwich....and it made his mouth water....His stomach then growled like the lion he now partly was....and he began to slowly...very slowly, step out of his little cove. he did not know whether or not this was a sick attempt to get him...but death did into seem to over throw how hungry he was to eat some real HUMAN food.

He stuck his nose out first...and then the rest of his body began to emerge....he was starving...and he did not care if this was going o be his last meal. It will be the best thing he would have ever eaten if this was not a cruel trick. He slowly brought himself to about 3 feet away...but that was far as he was going to go...he did not want to get to close. Anything could happen.

He then sat down and began to wag his tail, unknowingly. He was beginning to to get more and more desperate the more the sandwich was in his sight and not in his gut.

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Sec Invidia Sat May 28, 2011 12:22 am

Sec watched with mild interest as the dog-thing chimera emerged. It still resembled a regular dog to him though, although he wondered why it was in the ruins. Normally, the only animals in Xerxes were small mammals and the vultures. He really hadn't expected the dog to be there. At any rate, Sec figured it would be some company, and particularly, nonhuman company. Sec was completely spiteful to the entire human race, excluding the Pirates, whom he considered "more pure" and subsequently, better than other humans. But like all creatures on this Earth, he did subconciously at the least, long for some companionship. And for his stay in Xerxes, he figured the dog would make for a good walking partner. He saw the dog's sort of pitiful face, staring hopefully at the food. Sec let loose another slight smile, and tossed the dog the sandwich. Then he began to retrieve one from the bag for himself, as he sat down on a nearby crumbled wall, probably from some Xerxian settlement. "So, do you have a name, or anything, by some chance?" Sec laughed to himself, knowing that animals didn't answer back to people, with the exception of parrots. But at any rate, even if the dog could respond, Sec doubted it would speak the ancient, and dead, language of Xerxian, which he was talking to it in.

Post by Rolego Sat May 28, 2011 12:56 am

Rolego was about to make his own move to get the sandwich from this person. He was drawn only closer to Secundinasci cause of the aroma of the sandwich. But just as he was going to stand...he saw it go air born. The moment it fell to the ground he was on it...but tried to make sure he did not look like the monster he already was. He took the sandwich in his mouth and began to eat like a normal being...or...at least close enough to look safe to be around.

He did not take his eye off of this man however. Though his eyes were hidden behind his mane...he could see through it with no problem. He saw as the human leaned against the crumbling wall of a destroyed home and ate another sandwich that he had in his bag.

So, do you have a name, or anything, by some chance?

Rolego heard....but did not reply. He did not know what he was doing here or even if it was just a friendly face....something he wished he had earlier. So he kept to himself. It was going to take alot of time...or alot of sandwiches to get him to trust this person.

Rolego gave a small grunt and continued eating...not really interested.

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Sec Invidia Sat May 28, 2011 1:23 am

Sec ate his sandwich quietly, pondering things. A great many things. He remembered his childhood. The dog for whatever reason reminded him of that. An animal, roaming the streets of Central for food to eat, for money to pay for it. That life was behind him, but it was also what kept him going, even when life seemed stupid and pointless. The 10 year old street urchin called Sec wandered into his mind, then, and reminded him that if he did anything stupid like suicide, it would be a waste of time, a waste of years of redemption from his ugly past, a past no man could be proud of.He sighed. Then he thought on to the future, imagining himself, standing alongside his Captain and crew, ruling Amestris. Such power... It was in the Pirate's grasp, he could feel it, almost taste it. But it would take time. Yes, that was what he wanted. A powerful future, a life fitting him. Born a rat of the streets, who climbed the chains of evolution into a mighty lion, king of beasts... He looked at the dog again, and sighed. The animal probably had no clue what his thoughts would mean, should he explain them. But he was a comforting sight, so Sec held the other half of his sandwich on the ground beside him for the dog, and retrieved from his bag a bowl of ramen noodles. He set that down with the sandwich. "A treat, for you my friend."

Rolego with his eye looked at the man as he began to think....but also...Rolego...already began to feel a small attachment to this man...yes it has not been long. But this man was the only one to not call him a monster...ran away...or even tried to kill him. Rolego after finishing his meal...began to looked at the man...pleadingly. He was still hungry. He then looked as the man went into his bag....and took out Raman....Rolego felt his drool fall like rain on his paws.

He then saw the human get close. And this made his fur bristle. Not out of anger but out of caution. But stopped as he saw the meat fall next to the sandwich bread.

A treat, for you my friend.

Rolego Looked at the man...but soon...lowered his head..and began to tear into the hard ramen...it was coarse and dry. but he did not care. It was one of the best things he will ever eat.

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Sec Invidia Sat May 28, 2011 8:10 pm

Sec smiled gently, yet again. It seemed the dog was slowly gaining his affection. He had a way with animals, at any rate. Probably out of his hatred for humans, he felt the need to seek out friendship in non-humans, such as animals or chimerae. He then pulled out a small ornament- A small gold chain necklace, with a Xerxian Jade charm. The jade was carved very finely, and appeared to be a circle containing an I, straight through the middle of the circle, but stopping short about an eigth of a milimeter away from either end of the circle's diameter, so that the top and bottom of the I form chords across the circle. Then, in the semicircle-like spaces, there was a
fleur-de-leur carved into each side. It was actually his family crest, and a similar necklace was worn by every member of the Invidia family, including the families branching off from the Invidia, like the Furors, or a small group of the Szylagyis. But at any rate, it was his. He placed it around his neck after looking fondly at it for a moment. As much as he hated his family, his parents who abandoned him for "chances of adventure and travels", he felt a strong connection to it, particularly his ancestors, who he had researched and found to be noble, proud people, unworthy of the cruelty of Earth. And thus he wore the symbol proudly, as it was also his connection to Xerxes, his "Homeland". He looked up after placing the necklace around his neck, and looked to the dog. Retrieving this time, a small tin of chicken wings, legs, and livers, he placed it in his hand and stood, beckoning to the dog to follow him. "If you want to come with me, then you can follow. If not, stay where you are, or do whatever for all I care. Either way, I'll let you have these, and more if you choose to follow." And as always, he acted without waiting for a reply of any kind, and began walking back towards the Xerxian border, heading to Amestris. As he walked, slowly so that the dog could follow if it chose to, he opened the tin and ate a chicken liver, thoughtfully contemplating what to do next, after he left Xerxes...

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Rolego Sat May 28, 2011 9:12 pm

Rolego felt his stomach stop its rumbling and he felt his mind begin to feel at peace...well at more peace than before. He could see that this man was not going to hurt him anytime soon. But it still ate at him on why he was out here. It was not just for him, the man would have called him out by name. Rolego, despite all of these things running through his thoughts like a hive, began to feel comfortable around this being. He did not do what all of the others did, so the human was not as bad or as typical as Rolego thought. After he was done with the ramen, he sat up and wagged his tail a little. He could not help be just a little but happy about these treats he was given.

But then he began to think about what next. Eventually the being would have to leave, and yet again Rolego would have to be alone and scavenge for food. In which, he was prepared to do now more than ever. Sec gave him some encouragement with these gifts that probably saved his life. Also, it gave Rolego a thought that just maybe not all things he might come across might not try to kill him, or run away just because of who he is. It made him feel kinda warm inside. But then he looked at Sec a little more and noticed he was rummaging in his bag. Rolego raised his nose and sniffed the air, as well as leaning his head toward Sec. Chicken wings, legs and livers. All Rolego enjoyed to eat when he was human. He had not had those since the incident and also thought he would never be able to eat it again. But at least see it made his mouth water and panted like a dog would. He gave a few hard swallows...trying to tame himself. If he did not, he was going to blindly walk up him and probably walk into something.

If you want to come with me, then you can follow. If not, stay where you are, or do whatever for all I care. Either way, I'll let you have these, and more if you choose to follow.

Rolego gave a shake of his head with a grunt. It was not a no, but it was a look and feel of somewhat...well confusion. Would it be a death sentence to be caring of a chimera? Even if not that, did Sec even think about the other punishments? Jailed, questioning, being taunted and messed with as he walked the streets, there was a giant list. Rolego then saw him begin to walk away....and the smell of opened can of the liver and saw Sec begin to eat it. Rolego could only whine like a puppy as he began to battle it out in his head. But the more he thought the further Sec seemed to have walked away. Rolego knew the situation, if he stayed, he would die. If he went, same probable fate. Rolego gave a small and nervous sigh.

Then he began to step forward. Though he was still a ways behind, he was quickly catching up to Sec. Every step was getting more and more reluctant. He did not like stepping away from his safe spot. That spot he was not seen or messed with. But, he had already chose a road, and he had to follow through. Besides, there was more in it for him if he did go with Sec. He soon realized that he was now a few feet behind him. He did not want to get to close. His instincts were still on full.

Sec walked on, finally assuming the dog had chosen to stay. Aw well, he wasn't needed, only a comfort to Sec. But then, he heard the movements of the dog as he cauight up. He smiled and turned to see him. Smiling, he deigned now to speak in Amestrian, as he figured that the dog didn't know a dead language any more than a human would. "So I see you've changed your mind? Good, good. I like you. And I need some company on the road sometimes. You'll be safe with me too, and well fed." He reached a long arm back to the chimera and handed it a few livers. Then he paused to look at the dog again. At first glance it had seemed like, well... A dog. Now, he could see a pretty defined mane. So was it a lion? No. It was a chimera. "Hmm... I take it you aren't really a dog, hm? Can you speak?" He didn't know if it could speak. For one, it was most likely an escaped dog-lion chimera. But on the other hand, it may have human in it. Even so, it may also not be able to speak anymore, because of vocal chord differences. Nonetheless, Sec wanted to see if it was one of 25% that could speak, based on that data.

Post by Rolego Fri Jun 03, 2011 1:33 am

Rolego stopped as soon as he saw the man take notice that he was there. Rolego was not trying to keep a low profile, but he did not really want to be seen. He also forgot the reason on why he was following. But the smell of food was more than enough to keep him at the mans side. Besides...he did not like the hole in the wall he was staying in.

So I see you've changed your mind? Good, good. I like you. And I need some company on the road sometimes. You'll be safe with me too, and well fed.

Rolego looked at Sec who was now giving him more food.....in which made his tail wag a little. He was however...not biting. He gave a few grunts and whines but he did not want to walk to close. He pretty much danced in one spot just whining. But then he heard Sec continue speaking.

Hmm... I take it you aren't really a dog, hm? Can you speak?

Rolego stopped himself from his whining and looked at Sec...like any other dog would. he knew how to speak....but...he did not want to. He was just an animal for now. He was not going to say anything unless it was needed. he just sat down looking at the livers...mouth watering.

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Sec Invidia Sat Jun 04, 2011 12:47 am

Sec watched as the dog stared hungrily at the food, but never made a move to eat it. Obviously, the dog- Or rather, chimera, as it was clear to be now- was being cautious still. And Sec couldn't really blame it. What would one do if you were an animal, and a gargantuan human waltzed right up to you, in the middle of nowhere and offered you some food to go with him? Sort of reminescent of a big white van in a school parking lot.But Sec meant the chimera no harm at all. And by it's fear, or at least suspicion, it wasn't really comfortable around humans. Maybe he was being hunted. Sec decided to throw out a guess. "So you don't want to come closer, eh? You know, you're pretty stubborn. I'm NOT going to hurt you. And if someone is trying to hurt you, you can point them out to me, and they will cease at once. And it appears you can't talk so, you can just bark, or growl or whatever. But at any rate, whatever is making you so worried, if you want me to, I could easily kill it. Some big wild animal, a retarded hunter, the military, anything. Just trust me." Sec tried for another smile. He was still determined to have the chimera-dog-thing as his companion, and he had to admit, he felt a little sympathy, or affection or something for it by now. He had to convince it to trust him. He set a few livers down at his feet and stepped back a few inches, gesturing to the food. "And you look malnourished still. Go ahead, eat up."

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Rolego Sat Jun 04, 2011 1:34 am

Rolego listened with a his ears as high as a Christmas tree...but also his mind was full of doubt and negativity. He did not want to trust this man...but he did keep to his word so far. He did give food willingly...and gave in enough amounts to satisfy Rolego's growing pallet. Something he had not had in a very long time...and that usually won him over when he was human. But now...since he was now game...and probably a source of food for other humans....any one being could be a wild card that could bend his life to the left or too the right...both could have drastic results.

But...then he could see and feel the truth in Sec's words....and watched as he placed the food at his feet...Rolego...was pacing back and forth....looking at Sec and at the meat on the ground...he was being difficult...he knew this...but he did not want to walk into something that could kill him. Sec was rather large and wont be easy to take down if Rolego was tricked....but what if it was not a trick? What if Sec was serious?...there was only one true way to find out if this is true...Rolego stopped pacing and began to step to the pile of food...reaching rather than going...he did not want to get to close...he would reach out to the livers...but not be close enough....but he soon...gave in...and gave a small grunt....

He plainly walked to the food...sat down...and began to eat....he was hungry...and was on edge...he did not care now what happened...what happened happens...

Sec watched in anticipation for the chimera to come to him. It seemed like he was slowly winning it over, but it was still hesitant. He shuffled back a few more inches, giving the chimera a big more space between them. Eventually, it came over slowly at first, and then almost starvingly. Sec smiled while it ate, gently reached his hand out to pat it's head. "Thanks. I just want you to know, I don't usually try this hard to meet anyone. You should feel special I guess." He grinned down at the chimera. Then he thought of something else: He needed to know if the thing had a name, since he figured they would be hanging around together for a while now. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot. What's your name? If you can't, or won't, talk, you can scratch it into the sand for me, right? I think it would be stupid to not know what to call you, and even stupider to name you like some household pet." Sec looked at the chimera again, and waited for it to finish eating, so that he could see if it had a name or not. Sec was determined to know this chimera, and to befriend it. That did sort of require an introduction...

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Rolego Sun Jun 05, 2011 6:26 pm

Rolego simply waited...but now with a level of regret. He did not know what he was doing...was he so desperate? It made no sense to him....and also it made his skin crawl. He was now within arms reach of Sec. He did not bring his eyes up to see Sec...cause it would show the look of the very thing Rolego despised in his eyes....total fear. He felt this only once before...being chained and fused with the bodies of his dog and a feral lion...reliving a moment when he thought he was going to die...was actually almost unbearable. Then he felt Sec's palm fall on his head....it sent a shock down his spine. Praying to god that it was not an alchemist.

But as he waited....he felt Sec begin to pat his head....and Rolego felt his fear drain...for some reason that moment made his mind and soul stop worrying....and made peace. He looked up a little...still wanting to shield his eyes...but he could see Sec's face...barely.

Thanks. I just want you to know, I don't usually try this hard to meet anyone. You should feel special I guess

Rolego did....he felt very lucky.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. What's your name? If you can't, or won't, talk, you can scratch it into the sand for me, right? I think it would be stupid to not know what to call you, and even stupider to name you like some household pet.

Rolego looked at the ground...not really knowing how to respond...Sec already knew that he was human...and knew his language. But Rolego did not want to speak. So...he took his paw and began to to mark out a his name. One large letter at a time.

R...O....L....E...G...O...

He sat at the edge of his name...hoping that he did not blow his cover....if he was found by the military...and they found out what happened....anything could happen.

Sec stood thoughtfully for a few moments as the name was scratched into the sand. Rolego. It was a slightly strange name but hey, Secundinasci wasn't exactly the next Jack, now was it? Anyways, he nodded slowly. "So, I take from this you can both understand me and are indeed human, at least mentally, and can communicate back? Fantastic. Now I need to ask you some questions for future reference and convienience. Just nod or shake your head, or scratch answers into the sand again." He smiled slightly, and began to roll of a chain of questions, letting Rolego answer before a new question, but still rolling them off pretty quickly. "One, do you speak Ishvallan or even better, Xerxian? I hate Amestrian, but I figured you should know it. Second, are you on the run? Third, if so, from who, or what? And lastly, what makes you trust me, even though I haven't known you for half an hour yet, and all I've done is feed you and talk? If I were you, I would have torn me up and run away by now. I'm actually kind of curious as to why exactly you WOULD trust me after a few minutes or so. Not that you shouldn't trust me, but nonetheless, why?" He sat on a large rock nearby and waited. The deserted ruins sure were full of rocks and broken walls and such.

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Rolego Mon Jun 06, 2011 12:36 am

Rolego looked at Sec's face and saw that it was an odd look. He did not think his name was so different...well at least he did not think so. He was called this name all his life...and he was told it sounded normal...but...no one had the same name he did....but it did not bother him to much. He watched Sec nod...and paid attention as he spoke.

So, I take from this you can both understand me and are indeed human, at least mentally, and can communicate back? Fantastic. Now I need to ask you some questions for future reference and convenience. Just nod or shake your head, or scratch answers into the sand again.

Rolego gave a small look of annoyance...but he did not mind answering some questions...only if they were something he would want to answer. Or was not to personal.

One, do you speak Ishvallan or even better, Xerxian? I hate Amestrian, but I figured you should know it. Second, are you on the run? Third, if so, from who, or what? And lastly, what makes you trust me, even though I haven't known you for half an hour yet, and all I've done is feed you and talk? If I were you, I would have torn me up and run away by now. I'm actually kind of curious as to why exactly you WOULD trust me after a few minutes or so. Not that you shouldn't trust me, but nonetheless, why?

Rolego took the storm of questions like bullets...taking in..one at a time....and then began to scratch in the dirt:

1: Both, Xerxian a little
2:Yes
3:Everyone
4:...no where to go...

Rolego wrote the last...but the writing was a little bit messy....he had some problems admitting it....he was usually a proud and prideful being...but now seeing he was now lower...he needed someone besides a friend or family...he could not let them see him like this...and coming to a stranger was the only way out...

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Sec watched as Rolego wrote in the sand. "Well then. This is good. I hate speaking Amestrian, no matter what my birth certificate says. I'm not Amestrian. Never have been, never will be. Anyways, I'm glad you speak Ishvallan." He smiled slightly. That was better for him. He didn't want to speak that language of fools more than he had to... "On the run? From everybody? Ouch, that can't have been fun. But it does explain why you're in such a big, empty wasteland like Xerxes. I come here myself, for the serenity and absence of stupidity. Besides the foolish king that started the chain of events that destroyed the nation. But no matter, he's dead, and I'm getting off subject." Sec had figured as much. Why else would anyone come here and hide out and then be afraid of a random person wandering by? At the last answer, Sec gave Rolego a look of sympathy and nodded. " I only know too well what that feels like. Having nothing, and whatever you had stripped painfully away. Having to survive on less than nothing, and fight for a small space in which to simply exist and die. Story of my life, until recently. But don't worry, you have somewhere to go now. You can come with me, and who knows? We may find someone to split you up again, back into your human form. If not, I can, as I've already said, protect you. You see, my size has a bonus. People fear me, as you fear the people. Anyone tries to so much as touch you and..." To emphasize his point, Sec drew his rapier and with a sharp motion, split a cactus in two in a mare flick of the wrist. "They will no more."

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Rolego looked at Sec with a look of both humiliation and embarrassment. He did not like like or know why he was like this...he should be used to being humiliated by now...now since he is now chimera...but he could not help but feel this way..he did not like admitting his needs. But then he saw Sec nod his head...almost as if he understood.

I only know too well what that feels like. Anyone tries to so much as touch you and..

Rolego looked as he removed his blade...a rapier...and very taken care of rapier...and decimated a nearby cactus with ease...with a noticeable quick two lashes in the air....Rolego looked at the blade...and gave a small gulp...

"They will no more

Rolego gave a small bark...and began to wag his tail like any dog would...trying to make Sec believe that there was more canine than human under the skin...

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Sec grinned and for the first time in a while, laughed a little. Even so, he noticed it. Rolego was possibly the first person-Sec considered him a person by then- to make him actually laugh in what seemed like forever. He might occasionally chuckle or something when he was hanging out with Sal and the Crew, but not actual laughter. It almost brought tears to his eyes, that Rolego was someone he could relate to, even slightly, that he didn't despise like all other humans, or living things in general. It amazed him, really, that something like a fugitive human-dog-lion thing chimera could bring him that much joy and a feeling that maybe life was still a dirty, stinking carpet, but that there were a few clean spots that dirt had never touched. Anyways, he shook the thoughts from his mind and smiled. "Alrighty then, you still look like an anorexic dried of banana, so how about more food? And maybe when you finish eating, you could tell me where you want to go from Xerxes, or we could just head to my place in North City, Amestris. Got a few good friends there, you'll like them if you meet them." He smiled and sat down next to Rolego. He sat his bag down and pulled from it a container of shrimp stir fry with rice and peppers, a small portable grill and a bottle of orange juice. He placed the stir fry on the grill and let it cook for a few minutes while he, convieniently poured the juice into the hollowed chunks of cactus he'd cut off. In the end both him and Rolego had a steaming plate of shrimp and rice, and a big 'mug' of orange juice.

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Rolego Wed Jun 08, 2011 2:10 pm

Rolego looked at Sec when he laughed and he could not help but smile a little. Sec laughed whole heartily...but at the same time...it was odd seeing him laugh. It was not like he never laughed before...right? Besides how would Rolego know, he had just met the guy no longer than an hour ago. But, a man of his size and his obvious demeanor...it was just odd to see that he was much different than his cover. However, even with Rolego looking at him as a friend, the places they go will not make Rolego any better. It will still be odd to go into a place or city knowing people will fear and hater as well as the person you are with. Rolego half heartily wanted to go, he did not want Sec going through what he had to go through.

Alrighty then, you still look like an anorexic dried of banana, so how about more food? And maybe when you finish eating, you could tell me where you want to go from Xerxes, or we could just head to my place in North City, Amestris. Got a few good friends there, you'll like them if you meet them

Rolego looked as he opened the bag and saw they was an entire surplus of food...which he scarfed down...rather quickly and with a full heart. Food is food no matter how much hate it or love it. Rolego needed every bit of it. But after about 5 minutes...he stopped eating. He did not want to get full. He just wanted to be satisfied. He then stood and shook his fur, letting his body let got of some of the heat he had got from sitting down in the sand. He soon remembered what Sec asked of him...where to go? Rolego did not know...he did not have a place to go...going with Sec was probably the best idea, and if he is true about his friends, it is the best pace to be. Rolego pawed at the sand...beginning to make two words.

You decided.

Cries of an empty soul Empty Re: Cries of an empty soul

Post by Sec Invidia Wed Jun 08, 2011 10:27 pm

Sec finished his food cheerily and looked to Rolego for his answer. My decision, eh? Great. This should be easier, now that we have a place, and what better place is there? The ship is a whole horde of misfits and outcasts. He smiled to himself. Who knows, maybe I can help him, he can keep me company, and perhaps he might even help the crew with our plans... He then gestured Rolego to follow him and collected the empty containers. Then, without a word, he began walking northward towards North City, and thus the Ship. He then wondered what he was going to say to Sal when he saw Rolego. Probably his first thing would be "Don't eat the dog, Captain!", and after that he'd end up having to explain where he found him. Now that he thought about it... Dogs and cats don't mix very well... What about chimerae of those respective animals? He hoped they would get along. If not, then he would have to accept that he had caused the apocalypse or something. Oh how he prayed it was the former of the two!
