BRIEFING:
→ A massive long Japanese sword spanning 70 inches long(about 178 cm), which is equivalent to Ken’s height. As the origins of the blade dictated it to be used as a cavalry blade, and thus unsuited for direct ground combat, it is an extremely hefty and awkward weapon in Ken’s arsenal, but he is quite capable of utilizing this blade with ease and has quick enough footwork to prevent enemies for coming too close and rendering this weapon useless. It is quite noticeable sharp, slicing flesh and any weaker substance just by simply being dragged against it, which makes it the most dangerous weapon as Ken can deftly utilize it and capitalize on its length. Especially noteworthy for its unique scabbard/sheathe(Saya), in that it not only encases the blade, but takes on a cylindrical-like shape(whilst still curving) and houses one of his Alchemical Circles at the bottom. Incredibly durable. And I MEAN DURABLE. Though it has to be, since it’s such an odd and rare blade. Kept on his back.

→ A small blade paired in a traditional Daisho with the Uchigatana, this short blade reaches a length of about 40 cm, tip to bottom of hilt. An interesting note is that the Wakizashi’s sheathe doubles a blunt instrument of steel doom. In other words, Ken can club another person without drawing this sword, and it would be quite painful. Unlike most saya made of wood, that is. The interior still is wood, though, for tradition’s sake. Kept at his side, to his left, so his right can draw it. Or his left hand, if need be, in an underhand grip.

→ A 70 cm sword traditionally used for the various styles of swordplay that Ken has learnt. Noteworthy for having blood grooves that give it the sound of audible sharpness, and it’s kept in fine condition, thus honed to a point that it can slice flesh with an appropriate, but still small amount of pressure. Most peculiar to note is the all-black appearance of the blade, which gives a suggestion as to what material this weapon was forged out of. Nonetheless, it is a very durable blade that can take all the abuse Ken deals to it with his rapid-unsheathing and immediate lashes. Did I forget to mention that, even though this would be a Daisho pair between the longer blade(this one) and the smaller blade(the one above), he never plays around with both blades? No, he’s mastered the art of the quick-draw enough that he doesn’t have to rely on both blades simultaneously, hence why this blade is kept at his right side for his dominant hand to grab a hold of properly to leave a very nice wound on you.

→ It LOOKS like a normal handgun, but the caliber of bullet it can dispense is .49. To get into specifics. The cartridge is a 12 mm rocket attached to said .49 caliber bullet, has a rate of fire of about 60 rounds per minute, and is effective up to 55 yards (~50M), while having a six-round internal box magazine. Given that this is a rocket-propelled bullet, the muzzle velocity is very low, but upon the small rocket burning off all its fuel, it can reach up to speeds of 1250 feet per second, and from then on decrease in velocity. Total weight of 0.4 kilograms, total length of 27.6 cm, with a barrel length of 12.7 cm, this gun is usually kept hidden aside on Ken’s person, and he only keeps enough to fire 12 shots altogether … that means he only has twelve shots for this gun period. Fortunately, his partner Saika may be able to spare a few more bullets, but ammunition is limited. To maximize effectiveness, target’s distance must be at least 25 to 30 meters away, usually the point when all the rocket propellant has been expanded, and thus the highest velocity for the bullet achieved. Upon contact to human flesh at it’s greatest speed, one can only guess what happens to the individual in question. Though, at point blank or within VERY close range, this weapon is practically laughably ineffective.

→ Beretta 92FS model: 970 grams in weight, 217 mm in length, with a barrel length of 125 mm. The cartridge used is the 9x19 Parabellum, muzzle velocity of 380 meters per second, effective at 50 meters, and uses a detachable box magazine containing fifteen rounds. Not too difficult to acquire spare parts, nor too difficult to fish out some ammo when necessary. In fact, Ken carries two of these guns, one given to him upon joining Aerugese ranks and the other taken from when his beloved mentor joined the army as well. They are kept in fine condition, even though Ken’s a sword fanatic, and parts are changed often enough to prevent internal issues and possibility of mechanism failure. Altogether, he has 10 magazines, eight spares and two pre-loaded into the guns. That makes for a total of 150 shots. His partner, Saika, might carry a few more … since Saika really likes to carry all sorts of things, including spare magazines of ammo.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
→ Well, as mentioned in the profile, he IS a practitioner of Aerugese sword disciplines, the most favored of which to him, taught by his beloved mentor, is the art of drawing his blade rapidly and lashing out at opponents. That means, even if he appears to be unarmed, so long as his swords are within his grasp, he draws the blade with such speed that it appears instantaneous(with the exception of the enormous Odachi on his back), and usually most opponents (the common soldier – NPC) are already stricken by his attacks before they realize it. This makes him a lethal and swift threat in close-range combat, even against firearm equipped opponents. Since when he appears to be defenseless(sword still sheathed) he can still lash out with a blur of movement.
