Trouble Has Arrived. (Open)
Spencer grinned as he stepped off the train into Central City. Ah, he thought, it's been a while since I've been to Central! He was here for some sort of meeting later on in the week, but of course he'd wanted to come early to sight see. And, of course, wreck havoc. He grinned as he looked around the crowded streets. So many people compared to the East, he mused, suddenly feeling self conscious. His smile faded slightly. He hadn't been around large groups of people often. He didn't much like large groups of people, honestly. He wasn't really a people person. It took him a while to warm up to people. But, hey, he thought, his goofy grin returning, it's Central. This place is so huge, no one will give me a second glance, right? Except maybe the girls. But I'm okay with that. He wrinkled his forehead as he observed some of the women walking around. While he may not be good at long term friendships, when it came to women he'd likely never see again, he was pretty damn good. He mostly just flirted, but there was the occasional one night stand. Of course, it wasn't like the women didn't know what they were doing. Being as blunt as he was, Spence did make it clear. He chuckled at the thought. Well, if I'm gonna sight see, I may as well start now, he decided.

Speaking of sightseeing...the blind man, walked quickly down the street. Riffel clicked his tongue discreetly, as he shuffled down the sidewalks, quickly looking at the outlines of objects and people as they formed in his head. Hmm if he walked this fast, maybe no one would be suspicious that he was actually blind. Maybe no one would notice him either...wait that's no good! Then he wouldn't be noticed by any pretty girls!
As his mind started to wander, he felt his sunglasses slide off his face. They dropped to the ground with a noticeable clink, and Riffel immediately swooped down to get them. Gah...he hoped no one had noticed his distinct tan lines around his eyes from the constant wearing of sunglasses. Maybe it would be a good time to stop wearing these things, but then people would have to deal with his scary white eyes. Sight seeing, ugh, he felt like he was the one being watched by everyone.

Spencer noticed a man wearing sunglasses and walking rather fast, and wondered absentmindedly why he was in such a hurry. When the man dropped his sunglasses a few feet away from his foot, Spencer felt obligated to pick them up. "Here you go, Sir," He said politely, holding them towards the man. He felt his breath hitch and realized he was actually afraid of this guy, for some odd reason. He hurriedly looked down at his feet to avoid the man's gaze, but not before noticing the odd tan lines around the his eyes, which were an odd, pale color. Spence immediately felt that odd shiver down his spine again. This guy reminds me of my brother, he thought, nervously chewing his lower lip. His brother had often worn sunglasses in order to hide the fact from their parents that he was drunk or high, and Spence had found that every time he saw someone wearing sunglasses now, he felt the odd need to avoid them. He felt slightly guilty for this. This poor guy didn't do anything to him, and Spence already didn't like him. It wasn't fair to the poor guy, so Spencer made an effort to smile at him.

Jay got out of the train behind some guy that was grinning a bunch. She was in Central to look around and pretty much take a break... So maybe sightseeing would be fun. She was hardly ever in Central because of her position in society- A wanted mercenary in a militaristic city? Forget it. But she was here in disguise. She had her automail hidden behind her specially made Skingloves&Socks. They were pretty much fake skins that she wore to hide her automail. She was also wearing sunglasses so that her face wouldn't give her away. So, she fiddled with her ponytail out of boredom and kept walking. She saw the guy in front of her stop to pick up some guy's sunglasses but she really didn't care. She just walked past them, bored and ready to do SOMETHING. She just hoped that something would involve getting something to eat and sleeping somewhere besides the side of a street or in some alley....

As Riffel bent down to pick up his sunglasses, he felt another presence come close to him. He felt the hair on the back of his neck stand on end, why was he so uneasy? He reached for his sunglasses finding that they were no longer there, strange, he looked up to see the outline of a man holding them in his outstretched hand. "Here you go, Sir" the man said turning his head from Riffel.
A wave of unease and uncertainty hit Riffel, as he took the glasses from the man. This man...he was afraid of him, but why? He had felt this feeling many times before when he came into contact with other people...had he seen his eyes!? Those cursed things even if he couldn't see them himself, people had always told him how creepy they looked. As he stood, he closed his eyes so that the man wouldn't see those hideous white things, maybe then he would be accepted and less feared.
"Thank you, my friend, is everything alright?" he said softly. He noticed a young woman walking by, would she be afraid of him too?

Reila was humming a song she had heard on the radio in the doctor's lounge as she headed out to the vending machines, searching for a specific drink she had to have before lunch. She glanced around aimlessly and then spun around, catching sight of it in the corner of her eye. Rushing toward it without looking, Reila felt herself fall forward suddenly. Right then, she had collided with a girl who had her hair up in a ponytail and then tripped over some guy with black hair and landed at the feet of a guy with light blue hair. That was what she gathered from the blur of momentum that threw her forward.
Dazed for a moment, she lay there, her short, plaid skirt half way up and her strawberry blond hair pouring out in every direction over the pavement. Coming back to herself, Reila gasped and straightened her skirt, sitting up quickly. "I. Am. So. Sorry!" She cried, looking at the chaos she had just created in her mad dash for the drink.

Re: Trouble Has Arrived. (Open)
Jay had closed her eyes, seeing the sun shine down hard in them. But, unfortunately, right when she did that, she walked straight into some girl who had ran by. Jay was thrown back and at the worst of times, had a panic attack. It wasn't as bad as the one from when she saw her worst enemy, the raider with whiteish hair. But, she still dropped to the ground a bit more dramatically than she should have, and stared blankly at the sky, shaking like a massage chair. She started choking and a bit of blood dripped out and then she managed to stand up. The girl was apoligizing and Jay forced an OBVIOUSLY fake smile as she swiped the blood out of the corner of her mouth. " 'S'all right." She was still shaking, and right now, blushing to her dismay, out of embarrasment. WHY WAS SHE SO PATHETIC! Honestly, her panic attacks should NEVER happen...

"No, nothing is wro-" Spencer started to say, but was interrupted as someone fell on him, knocking him to the ground. He lie there dazed for a moment before looking up to see the woman who had fallen. Somehow, she'd managed to fall into another girl, who was wearing her hair in a ponytail, who he thought he remembered being on the train with, tripped over Spencer, causing him to lose his balance, and fallen in front of the guy with sunglasses. Spence blinked a few times before hauling himself into a sitting position. Nothing broken, not bleeding. I'm fine, He thought, standing up and brushing himself off. He turned to the girl who had fallen in the first place and the girl with the ponytail, who was sitting up and smiling, an obviously fake smile. "You two alright?" He asked wearily, offering both of his hands to help them up. He wondered why he had such terrible luck as to be randomly trampled upon his arrival in Central City. The only one with any worse luck than me is Air, he thought with a chuckle. It was true, after all, that Atlacia had the worst possible luck around.

Re: Trouble Has Arrived. (Open)
Riffel barely heard what the man had said before he heard a thump in front of him. He felt the presence of two other people. It was probably the girl he had just seen but why was she so close to him now. Before it just looked like she was ignoring Riffel and the man as she walked by. He clicked his tongue to see just what the hell was going on. There was a tangled mess of a girl on the ground. He felt waves of panic coming from her stronger than a stormy sea. Was this girl alright?
"Yo miss! You alright?"
He then noticed the other girl, sitting on the ground in a short skirt. This had to be the culprit, oh well, it's not like these things can be helped though. He immediately remembered a few days back where he tripped over that man laying on the ground. Clumsiness it was his greatest weakness.

Jay nodded to the man with sunglasses, as well as the other man. "Yea, I'm fine. You two okay?" She pulled another fake smile, checking her automail for damage. To her dismay, the left arm had a slight dent and a scaratch. She groaned slightly, annoyed by it. She hadn't fallen down too hard .... IT WAS HER FREAKIN PANIC ATTACK! It always made her go into a sudden frenzy. Her arm- Not the automail one, her actual flesh arm- twitched and she figured it was an aftershock muscle spasm. She sighed and looked up hopefully. "Doooooo any of you guys know where a pharmacy is? I left my medicine at home last week and haven't been there in a while ... But I need my meds to prevent my - very annoying - panic attacks. I guess this time falling down like that just happened to trigger one..."

Spencer nodded. "I'm fine," He said, "I'm glad you're okay." He glanced nervously at the girl's arm that was twitching. Panic attacks? He thought, visibly nervous. The idea of the girl just having a random panic attack right there in the street scared the shit out of him, honestly. He wasn't much of a people person, and he knew nothing about health. If something did happen, he'd just have to sit there and watch helplessly. He always seemed to be helpless. "I, uh, I'm not from around here so I honestly have no idea. I'm sorry. Maybe one of them knows..." His voice trailed off as he glanced hopefully at the other two. He wasn't sure what he'd do if they didn't know where a pharmacy was. He didn't know how close the girl was to a panic attack, or if she was actually having one right now. If he had to, he'd get over his anti-social-ness to help her look for one, because he did worry about other people, even if he didn't particularly like them. He'd grown up with a lot of people, and a lot of injuries, and he'd learned that sometimes, the most you can really do for someone is worry. At least with that mindset, he didn't feel as useless.

Re: Trouble Has Arrived. (Open)
Reila took the man's hand and stood up as naturally as she could, wiping gravel off herself. When she heard the other girl's voice she glanced over to see if her words actually rang true. And...well Reila's mouth almost fell open. "Bl...B-blood." She pointed to the corner of the ponytail girl's mouth. She also noticed the dent in her Automail and...the fact that most of her limbs were made of metal. Reila cringed at her own obliviousness. How could she have done this? Glaring angrily at the shadows on the pavement, she turned her eyes back to the man with a nervous look. "Help me with her, will you." It wasn't a question. She almost sounded like she uttered a direct command from some head quarters, (which not to his knowledge was very true).
Reila made a dash to the girl's side. "Can you stand?" She offered her her left hand, where each fingertip was covered with a light blue transmutation circle. "I know where one is. It's right around the block. I'll take you there right away." She turned back to the man and this time smiled sweetly at him. "I'm really sorry for all this, I just really like...Qoo." She murmured the last part, and if he had heard: Qoo was the popular drink that occupied many of the vending machines around Amestris, but not all. It was a drink make from real apples, that had a very cold taste and came in a completely metal container with even a metal screw on lid. She was in love with it. "And...I'm addicted to Dr. Pepper." She felt like she was in a Rehabilitation class or something. Why was she spitting out weird secrets about herself? As an excuse? Maybe... but she was Reila; she didn't make excuses, dammit.
Now that she felt a little more focused, she took everything in instead of solely focusing on the girl she had just caused to have a panic attack. The feet she had almost landed on belonged to a blue-haired man who was apparently blind and tried to hide it with sunglasses--of that she was sure. "Why don't you come along too," She offered to him. Now that she had made some friends: Enrya and Tsuna, she felt way more open to people, and could very easily confront them. Her shyness was vanishing and she was happy to see it go. The man standing next to the blind one, whom she had just spoken to before, seemed to magnet her eyes to him. Something about him... She couldn't exactly grasp it before it danced away out of her reach. His hair was black and his eyes seemed to stand out against it--a fiery blue that was making her chest burn. Heart burn--What? She blinked, trying to drag her eyes away and back to the Automail girl where her attention was supposed to be. Who was he though? He wasn't familiar at all, but... What the hell?!

Spencer smiled as he helped the girl up. He swallowed when the girl who had fallen pointed out that the other girl was bleeding. "Oh, are you alright?" He asked, looking more at his feet than at her. He didn't much care for blood it was too...bloody. Something about it just made him queasy. He realized faintly that his hands were shaking again and his mind groaned. Of course he would start feeling bad now. He had been completely fine when he'd been knocked to the ground, but now that everything was normal, he started feeling nauseous. Excellent. Shaking off the feeling the best he could, he nodded and went to help attend to the injured girl. He nervously shifted his weight from foot to foot. He nodded as the other girl started with excuses. "I love Dr. Pepper," He admitted, "My refrigerator is stocked full of it. If anyone takes even a sip of it, I go crazy." He laughed. It was true, of course. He was protective when it came to his Dr. Pepper. Not even Air was allowed near it! Lost in his thoughts, he didn't really notice much of what was going on around him.

Jay nodded and hopped to her feet. Noticing the girl stare at her automail, she feigned another smile and shrugged. "Don't worry, it was old anyways. Nother dent won't matter much. And thanks for the offer. I'm pretty sure it's an over-the-counter and if it isn't, I have a prescription with me. I hope they have some in stock..." She might not be good at smiling, but what she said was true, no matter what a sharp intellect and perception of her false smile would indicate. She just didn't want to seem as anti-social as she was... Which was unsurprisingly VERY much... In fact, if there was a contest for the world's most anti-social person, she would be banned. No professionals. She did manage to charm a real smile for a few seconds at her little mental joke, but just stood there, surveying the others. The man nearest to her seemed about as anti-social as she was, but he had a compassionate side for people in need, or his closest friends. The girl was different, because Jay couln't really make heads or tails of her. And the other man was apparently blind, using sunglasses as a cover. Jay actually felt a bit of sympathy for him, a rare emotion for her. She knew how a handicap felt and even though he probably couldn't fix his as easily as she had fixed hers, it was still aggravating at the least. She twisted her automail limbs a bit, thinking to herself. Then, as habits never completely die, she flicked her ponytail off her shoulder, then placing it back again.

Riffel stared at the scene as it unfolded before him trying to make out what was happening between the moving outlines. The girl who had knocked her over had apparently did it because she was in a rush to get a drink called Qoo. What a strange name, he had never heard of a drink. He wondered if it was any good. He thought it had to be since the girl had just knocked into some people to get to it. Still he thought, it was a funny name for a drink.
The girl who had knocked into everyone offered for him to join her in going someplace...he suddenly remembered, "Sure, I'll come with. The name's Riffel, by the way, what's yours?" he said in a friendly manner. He was glad she wasn't treating him like a cripple. He never liked being the one helped out all the time. He looked over at the other girl who had fallen. She was starting to get up, it seemed like everything was going to be alright.

Reila hit herself over the head with her fist. "Sorry," She said darkly, remembering that she had forgotten to tell them even the name of the idiot who had run into them, "Name's Reila." She threw long, heavy pieces of hair behind her shoulders again and inched closer to the other girl. Frowning, Reila carefully lifted a finger to the blood that was still on the girl's lips, quickly wiping it off and onto a napkin she pulled out of the bag around her shoulder. Looking sideways, she inwardly cringed, resisting the nausea that hit her like a rock to the stomach. She turned back to her, giving a mature smile. "There, now it's gone."
The intriguing guy was speaking. She turned her body to face him. "Hahh! So you're like me. I leave them in the hospital lounge refrigerator and if someone touches them...they face my wrath." She smiled reassuringly and checked back on the girl standing at her side. "Alright, let's go. I'm paying. You all buy anything you want. And you," She grinned at the black-haired man, "You can get as many Dr. Peppers as you can carry."

Even though no one had asked him, Spence felt compelled to announce his name as well. "I'm Spencer," He said with a smile. He smiled and laughed nervously as the girl who had fallen, Reila, wiped the blood away. "So, you work in a hospital?" He asked, sort of assuming that's what she'd been talking about. At the Dr. Pepper comment, he grinned. "I might just hold you to that," He chuckled, "And believe me, you may not have enough money for that. I can carry a lot of Dr. Peppers!" He felt almost comfortable around these people, which was sort of surprising, considering he'd only just met them. The blind guy was a bit quiet, but maybe he was just shy. He seemed alright, though. Reila seemed very nice, too. Anyone who offered to buy him Dr. Pepper defiantly became an instant friend. The injured girl with automail seemed nice enough, too, he supposed, although she hadn't really said anything directed at him. Not that it mattered, though. She was injured and probably didn't much feel like talking. Smiling again, he turned to Reila. "I'm glad you know your way around here," He said with a nervous laugh, "I'm completely lost."

Jay nodded to Reila- Apparrently that was her name- in gratitude for offering to take her to the pharmacy AND let her buy stuff. But she would resist her usual hunger to be polite. But she was going to let down her shields today. Since meeting Elliot, she realized that friends are her greatest help, not her ultimate downfall! At the name exchange being provided, she smiled meekly, still forcing it, and spoke. "Name's Jay Furor." She noticed that the posisbly-blind man was being very quiet. He seemed more like her kind of person than the other two. More self-reserved. But she doubted seriously that he was even less sociable than she was. She actually PRIDED herself on being antisocial. Maybe it was her way of turning a negative to a positive! Or just her own strange method of dealing with her problems. But still, she should at least chill out over her vacation- If you could call it that. She never fully enjoyed a break since employers were always tracking her down.

Riffel turned his head towards Jay, he was glad that she seemed a bit more at ease. He felt the tension in the air suddenly drop, it felt like everything was more open. Riffel turned his head to facet the outlines of everyone and smiled, "Hey what are we waiting for? The one who carries the most drinks gets a free Dr. Pepper on me!" He said this even though he was broke, but it would still be fun anyway. Well...he wasn't one hundred percent broke he still had enough for about two sodas. Looks like today was going to be a good day after all. Wow, it seemed his luck really increased after getting into that entanglement with Tsune a couple days ago. He was really glad that he was able to meet all of these people. Everyone here, even though they had met through complete chance, it felt like it was the beginning of a good thing.

Reila bowed politely to the one known as Spencer with a bright smile on her face. "Nice to meet you, Spencer." Then, with a laugh, she replied, "No, well, I used to work at one, but I've finally decided to move to Briggs." She nodded, completely sure of herself as if she had been deciding on what outfit to wear. "And you should hold me to that--you deserve it, plus, it'll be entertaining to see you attempt to carry them all. Also, feel free to ask me anything; I've lived here all my life--most of it." Reila grinned, eying him with her calculating and abnormal golden eyes. Something about him! She was struggling to shove the weird feeling back to the cobweb-ridden corners of her mind when she jerked back to attention.
"It was a pleasure to run into you, Jay!" She said, laughing slightly. "Of course, not literally!" When the blue-haired guy spoke, she couldn't help realizing he was still there with nothing short of surprise. She had figured he would just ignore her and walk away, but no, in fact he was trying to one up her offer or something strange like that. Whatever. She'd show him how many Dr. Peppers she could hold that was for sure. And while she was at it, she was sure there was another one of those special vending machines that held Qoo in them by the drug store/pharmacy place that she forgot the name of. The name wasn't important anyway; it was what was inside! Name... something was missing. "Ah," She blinked and pointed at the weird sunglasses-wearer. "Name?"
After they had distributed their names and everything was settled, Reila began walking, leading their strange fateful group all the way a block and a half down to the huge pharmacy that was packed full of everyday necessities. Reila had bought a Qoo from the vending machine nearby and downed it before anyone could blink, throwing the metal can away, and then proceeding inside where she made an effort to hold the door open for everyone before going in herself. "Remember anything in here!" Her wallet was endless anyway since the money was now rolling in from the frigid north.

Spencer nodded. "I'll bet that was an interesting job, eh?" He scratched his head, wondering why she would suddenly want to live in Briggs. He'd always liked the idea of Briggs, he loved snow and cold, but he didn't really think he'd be too great at actually living there. From what he'd heard, since it was right on the Drachman border, there was a lot of tension in the air. He didn't do well with tension, he was too paranoid. Being the idiot I am, he thought, I'd probably end up starting some international war that ended up destroying the world. Then I'd probably be fired. Of course, he figured if he weren't fired, everyone would throw things at him. And he didn't want things thrown at him! "I lived all over the place when I was younger," He said thoughtfully, "But right now, it looks as if I may be in East City for a while. Probably for the remainder of my career."
He laughed at Reila's pun. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Furor," He said politely. He grinned at the blind guy, Riffel, and nodded. "It'll be me!" He said in a slightly cocky tone, glad the tension was gone. The only person that he'd ever been able to talk to all cocky like that was Atlacia, and it had taken a while for him to even be able to have the self esteem to do that with her. He was glad to have made some new friends, at least he hoped they were his friends. He didn't know them all too well, but they seemed friendly enough.
Spencer grinned as he walked into the drug store and headed straight towards the refrigerator in the back, and opened it. He began stacking 6-packs of Dr. Pepper into his arms, grinning back at the rest of them. He figured he seemed pretty rude, getting this many on Reila's offer, but he never got offered for anyone to buy him anything. Not to mention, he didn't really expect for her to pay for all of them, he was the commander at East Military Headquarters, for God's sake! He wasn't so low as to make someone he'd only just met buy him a years supply of soda! He had plenty enough money to pay for it.

Reila flew after Spencer to catch up and then began assisting him with piling the Dr. Pepper 6-packs on top of each other in his capable arms. It was when the store manager began giving them a strange look that Reila waved her hands in front of them both. "No, no, it's not what you think. We're really buying all these." Then when the manager turned away with the shake of his head, Reila took that chance to eye up the other two. Satisfied that she wasn't needed there, she lifted up two more heavy 6-packs and created a tower so high that Spencer was no longer there. She decided to continue their conversation, speaking to him through the Dr. Pepper cans.
"It was a very interesting job, especially since the sight of blood makes me want to die." She gave a laugh and fiddled with the plastic hanging from one of the 6-packs. "I couldn't take it anymore anyway... I needed some...freedom if you might say. Where do you work in the East, Spencer?" She then began stacking the rest of the stock of Dr. Pepper left into her own arms, which wasn't nearly as much as he had, and then shut the refrigerator with a slap. Reila would have asked the manager if they had anymore cases in the back, but since she had asked that once before, she knew that--in this store at least--they always put out their entire stock.

Spencer smiled at the store manager, although he couldn't be seen behind the cases of Dr. Pepper. It was probably unhealthy and unnatural how much he loved this drink, but he needed a lot of cans! He drunk at least four cans a day, and Air usually had some too! He needed to stock up! He carried the cases to the front desk. They wobbled, but he managed not to drop them until he set them on the counter. The poor clerk looked as if he was going to have a heart attack!
Smiling, he turned to Reila. "Working in a hospital while terrified of blood? I can't see how that didn't last longer!" He smiled playfully. "Anyways, I think it's good that you were able to get a job that you can actually stand and that doesn't want to make you die! As for me, I'm the commanding officer at Eastern Military Headquarters. I'm down here for a meeting later on his week, but I decided to have a little fun sightseeing in the meantime. Where will you be working in Briggs?"

"Hahh! I know really," Reila replied, while heaving up her own mini tower of Dr. Pepper and handing the horrified cashier a shiny, new, black debit card. Then she heard the rest of Spencer's sentence and turned to him in shock. She paused for clarity before answering in a clear voice laden with happiness. "You're the commanding officer of East Head Quarters?!" She prevented herself from tackling the man out of excitement, and for good reason; he would probably stare at her like she was crazy or something. Once she got any indication of confirmation that he wasn't joking, she continued. "I'm the commander of Fort Briggs. Brigadier General Reila Tsukino, it is very nice to meet you." She winked, holding out her hand formally for him to shake. This was getting interesting, and she was amazed at her possible intuition that had drawn her attention to this man to begin with. Reila was elated that she had decided to offer this favor to these people. Aside from the important friendship of the other two, Reila would be ecstatic to befriend someone of the same rank as she.

Spencer smiled and shook her hand. "Woah, really? What are the odds?" He laughed. It was nice to be able to meet someone in the military and not have to worry if they really wanted to be friends or were simply sucking up in hope of a promotion. Spencer liked the idea of actually being able to trust someone in the military besides Atlacia. He glanced at the debit card. "Oh, there's no need to pay for all of this," He said, looking at all the cases of Dr. Pepper, "I'll split the cost with you. There's gotta be at least three hundred dollars worth of Dr. Pepper here! There's no way I'd make you pay for all of it." He pulled out his own wallet. He really didn't feel right making her pay for it, regardless of how much money she made or what rank she was, it still wasn't right to make her pay so much money just to restock his fridge.
