DESCRIPTION:
→ Ryuichi, aka Ryu, has short black hair that barely reaches the bottom of his neck. His hair is straight, not a single curl or wave in sight, but it is silk to the touch. The color of his eyes is a deep purple that often makes his emotions difficult or impossible to read. His stature is tall and slender, almost no muscle to him at all but unclothed one can see he is toned well enough. Ryu's skin is pale and resembles porcelain, often making a stranger assume he is fragile but he is the complete opposite. His clothing tends to be very elegant and expensive looking; as he has highly priced tastes. He enjoys wearing suits or brand names not even the normal rich person would consider spending that amount of money on. But on a lazy day, the lucky person might chance seeing him in jeans and a sweater.
His mannerisms include sticking his nose in the air due to a haughty ego and feeling better than those around him. Ryuichi has a nervous tick of pacing or drumming his fingers on a surface when weary. And when he finds himself bored he tends to examine his fingers and nails closely.

PERSONALITY:
→ Ryuichi has a superiority complex over anyone he meets, even a complete stranger on the street. This is clearly due to the esteemed wealth his family has always possessed. His mother raised him to act this way and he soon developed his own enormous ego in the process. Ryu would rather act proper around people though, instead of flaunting himself about. When the situation demands it he has the ability to act completely professional but one can still sense his snobbish personality. But along with his ego comes an unyielding confidence that allows him to get through any situation. On the surface he would appear to have no fear when facing any situation thrown at him. His confidence is what makes him a good leader in the military; proving that he does have a certain amount of valor about him. Ryu often appears fearless when faced with danger and shuts himself off emotionally when in such a situation. When dealing with a serious problem he is apathetic and blank, refusing to let an enemy know what he is feeling or thinking. This is possibly his best defense mechanism that he uses to guard himself emotionally. He developed this after a childhood of being teased in private schools by all the other children there.
Within himself Ryuichi tends to be a bit of a paradox; just as much as he is egotistical is he insecure. His actual feelings about himself are very low and self-conscious. When one gets close enough to him, only then, does he reveal these things. Clearly this is another product of the teasing he has endured. In the end, his malicious ego is mostly feigned when around people; especially ladies he seeks to impress. He is soft at heart and sympathizes with people more than he lets on.

DEEPEST SECRET:
→ The fact that he was bullied at such a young age and finds himself completely unattractive. So far, not a single soul is aware of this fact and often Ryu will not admit it to himself. His fake ego covers this up and it is probably a secret he will only reveal to his one true love; whom he hopes to find in the future.

HISTORY:
→ Ryuichi was born in Aerugo to a very wealthy family of great prestige in the community. His family pressured him to be proper and elegant from the start. Ryu’s father was the military’s biggest sponsor when it came to new programs. His dad funded many of the endeavor’s the science department went on with the slightest whim of discovery. From the very beginning Ryuichi was aware of the military, but never really cared for it. In fact as he grew up he loathed it for taking so much of his father’s time; he felt as if the military was stealing his dad.

But around the age of five he and his family uprooted and moved to Central City, Amestris. They moved there so that his father could oversee the projects he funded closely. It was there he found himself out of place in the schooling system and suffered bullying. The absence of his father only made matters worse; he despised the military and his family. Through the pain of bullying is what caused Ryu to turn to alchemy for comfort. One day in his family's library did he discover a book on alchemy and his mind became emerged in it. Soon he was slightly obsessed and was experimenting in private with all sorts of alchemic talents. His mind and body became apt to using alchemy related to fire; though it was not until later did he understand why.

Soon after graduation he enlisted himself into the military; curious as to why his father loved it so. At the same time, his own personal hatred for the military caused him to want to uncover the true awfulness of the institution. To this day part of him wants to bring down the military and shatter it where it stands. His ego and need for respect caused him to want to climb the ranks quickly. His goals could be matched to his distant relative, Roy Mustang, who had been dead for quite some time. It was not until after Ryu joined the military did he learn of his linage to the famous Roy Mustang; something he stumbled upon in secret files he illegally read. Soon after the mystery surrounding why he was apt to fire alchemy was discovered and he became determined to climb the ranks higher.

As his time in the military passed on, his fondness of it became odd and rather twisted. It was not the military he loved, but the work itself. Ryuichi became awkwardly obsessed with crime and everything to do with it. He would never personally commit a crime, but seeing others do so and learning how and why they did it fascinated him. Ryu officially had become a military lackey, but he was not consciously aware of it as he had other distractions filling his brain. Working in the security department, Ryu came to enjoy helping people and being a public figure. People on the streets respected him and gave him greetings. People in the workplace looked up to him and saw him as one with valor and fearlessness. He enjoyed the feeling the military gave him, but hated everything it stood for. Though these ill feelings he kept to himself; losing his job was not something he would risk.

ALCHEMIC/ALKAHESTRIC ABILITY: → Ryuichi's powers are elemental, the element being fire, and he controls the flames very closely. He is able to create a flame and precisely control where and how it moves. It appears in various forms, but his attacks are extremely sharp and accurate. (App will explain this better.)
