Greed + Vanity? Empty Greed + Vanity?

Post by Guest Fri Dec 17, 2010 6:22 pm

It was a warm, windless evening. The trees moved only so little under the light blowing of the wind, which was almost non-existent. The sun had already went over the horizon and darkness crept upon the face of the earth. A few bats flew through the evening air, as if showing that the time of birds has passed, and that now it was time for the creatures of the night to come out.
Perhaps it was the same for Kyle, since as the day came to an end - the nightmarish entity crawled forth from within it's dark, secret lair. In truth it was nothing like that. All Kyle did was make himself look good, put on his clothes and walk out on the streets. Of course he smirked as he noticed the bats, as they flew above him, catching whatever they fed on. Bugs, presumably. Kyle showed some teeth with a smile and decided to go eat as well. Of course - his meal would be rather better than bugs. He was going to restaurant, and a high-class one at that.
Kyle put his hand into one of the pockets of his suit, and pulled out a piece of paper. It was some kind of an invitation. All it said was:
"Tomorrow, at 9 PM, at "Marquise". I'll be waiting - a friend."
And it has this weird aroma, hinting at a woman. If you don't count a print of womanly lips on the lower-right side of the letter. It had a bright rose color. No doubt - it was a woman. Kyle did not remember any woman who would want to see him again after seeing him once, and it was no Military or Police - they had no business with him after he... arranged so that he would not be "wanted" in East City and the area.

So - Kyle headed towards the restaurant. It was time to meet this "friend". It was surely someone special, since few people knew about Kyle and more importantly - where he lived.
Greed entered the "Marquise" and looked around. It was classy and all that. It was a good thing that Kyle's normal clothes could be considered as a formal attire. He gave the man at the reception a pleasant smile, his eyes narrowed as always:

"Is there a reservation for a.... Kyle Crane?" - the Homunculus asked.

"Yes, please - follow me Mr. Crane."

The man guided Kyle to an empty table. Now it was time to wait for his friend. Greed grinned as he sat there, waiting for whoever would come.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

Post by Guest Sat Dec 18, 2010 4:01 pm

The previous day, was an exquisite one. Alena knew very well what she had to do, to get the things she needed for the future. Her mind was set, it was time to pay a visit with someone whom she knew very well, but they knew nothing of her. When father had passed away he created the eighth homunculus, Vanity. With that, he gave her many abilities from himself, including the gift of know where each homunculi was, and how to get in contact with them. The first on her list, Greed. The stories of Greed had always fascinated her, father spent a lot of time explaining the different homunculi to Alena when she was a small girl.

Vanity sat down at her desk, pulls out a slip of paper, and begins writing a small invitation to Greed. "Tomorrow, at 9 PM, at 'Marquise'. I'll be waiting- a friend." Once she finishes, the girl glosses on russian red lipstick, before imprinting a small kiss on the lower-right side of the letter. The homunculus also sprays a quick splash of her perfume upon the letters envelope. "There" She smirks to herself before sending it out into the mail. Vanity was so confident the letter would reach him, that she didn't even hesitate to put an address on its content.

The evening had come, something that was truly exhilarating for Alena. She knew that tonight was about to start something revolutionary for her and the rest of the homunculi. Her delicate frame slides into a silk, floor length long, black strapless dress. The attire flatters her figure, squeezing perfectly around her waist and chest. Alena chose to go without any accessories, revealing her collar bone for the world to gaze. Her hair fell loose onto her shoulders, while her lips were painted with the same glossy lipstick as on the letter. As she approaches the restaurant, Alena catches a glimpse of who she thought Greed was when he slips into the building. "Ah, perfect. He's on time..." She bites her bottom lip seductively before heading towards the restaurant. When Alena enters, she knew Greed would be at the table reserved, so she faintly greets the hostess before strutting towards the table for two. Her violet eyes catches his as she approaches, locking firmly instantly.

"Good evening, Sir." Alena smiles playfully as the waiters pulls out her chair for her to sit in. "I'm astounded that you arrived on time." Alena continues while she adjust in her seat, and crosses her legs underneath the table. "Now, heres the kicker. Do you know who I am?" Her eyes shot glaringly across the table, staring in his soul.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

Post by Guest Sat Dec 18, 2010 4:26 pm

A beautiful woman sat down opposite of Kyle. She greeted him, he only watched as the waiter helped her sit down. Oh my - the waiter was already in love with the woman, to Kyle's surprise. But what was this?! The Homunculus himself felt attracted to the unknown girl. But he gathered his mind and threw off such thoughts - they were too human, which was disgusting, and that meant Kyle was disgusted at himself right now.
But... the woman smelled very good. Wait... her smell.... there was something off about it. She... it was so - she smelled like a Homunculus. Kyle knew of it - that was how he could identify the others - like that girl at the park. He could smell her Homunculi scent... it was a good thing that only the other Homunculi could sense this particular smell.
Kyle smiled, no - grinned as the woman asked him if he knew who she was. Her eyes were almost staring into Kyle's soul, but alas... for her - Kyle's soul was not there. If she were to look hard - she would see only pitch black, sometimes illuminated by fires of desire and greed, sometimes messy with the colours of crimson, as if blood.
Greed spoke:

"Ah, I can sense that you're not just some woman. I am fascinated by you." - the man leaned a bit forwards, closing his face to the table. He also crossed his legs, leaning on the table with his left elbow, looking at the woman from the shade of his hat and through his narrowed eyes. - "I can see that you're very special, aren't ya? I must admit - I am very interested as to know your name." - Greed made the emphasis on the last word. Then Kyle's voice changed a bit, hinting at some concern. - "... and how you know about me."

The Homunculi was calculating already. He had no reason not to kill this woman if she were a simple human, but she was a Homunculi... that meant.... who was she? It would seem that Kyle knew everyone from the old days, but some Homunculi may have changed. He remembered that the only one's he did not see for a long time were Lust, Pride and Sloth. So who was she?

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

Post by Guest Sat Dec 18, 2010 4:51 pm

It was true, the longer she gazes into his eyes, the more black and fiery his soul became. This man was Greed inside and out. There wasn't any doubt in the back of her mind, his body radiated that deadly sin so obviously. His cocky grin drew her in, catching her by surprise. He was even more attractive in person, that she had dreamt of for many years.

His words were fire, but tempting as he drew his closer to hers. She couldn't resist the temptation to batter her eyes, and soften her lips ever so gently. The longer he spoke, the easier it was to understand that he had just about figured out who she was.

The waiter had come back before she could answer, pouring two glasses of water and staring into her eyes as he did. He was attracted to Alena, but she could care less. Her goal for now was getting Greed. The waiter quickly leaves to go attend another table.

Alena very carefully extends her finger to the glass, and strokes the ring around the cup of water. "Well, to most I go by Alena." She elegantly states while keeping a deadly gaze upon the man across from her. "It's quite obvious who you are... Greed." She mumbles under her breath as she smirks faintly upon his reaction. In her mind the clock was ticking extremely slowly, and she knew by now, Greed was stumbling through the various Homunculi, attempting to figure out which one she was. "Confused?" She laughs to herself before slowly coming to a end when the waiter arrives.

"Can I bring you two a bottle of wine?" The man ask to the 'couple' in his mind.

"Yes, you may. Bring us whatever this fine man wishes." Alena winks at the Homunculus before looking away while he decides the drink for the evening.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

So... the woman's name was Alena, and it would seem she was either interested in Kyle, or simply behaved like that. Kyle did examine her carefully, and thanks to his ever narrowed eyes the latter wouldn't be able to see what he's looking at. Maybe just the general direction. Oh and it seemed like Alena knew his exact name... this was troubling. Most unpleasant, though Greed showed a smile when he barely heard his name spoken aloud - quietly but aloud. He loved his name.
Kyle looked up at the waiter when he spoke of wine. Then Alena said the Kyle could choose any wine he could... well - if it was free, then why not?!
The Homunculus took off his hat, putting it on the table and looked up at the waiter, giving him a grin:

"I think we'll have, uhh...." - Kyle pondered a little bit, making his choice and continued. - "A bottle of Chteau Le Pin Pomerol. And I'd like to taste that in a matter of minutes." - Kyle's voice wasn't all that pleasant, but then he added. - "You don't wanna make the lady wait - do ya?"

The magic words took effect and the man quickly removed himself. Kyle was sure that in 4 minutes maximum they'd be drinking high-class wine. But while the annoying human was away, Greed decided to speak, to fill the waiting with something:

"So, beautiful Alena - to most you go by the name you told me, but.... what about your other name? It's not a secret - is it? Come on, you can tell me." - Kyle returend back to his "close to the table" position with the only difference of not having his hat on, hoping that she was a woman after all. Sloth was out, by the way - Lust and Pride were left, and perhaps the wine would show who she was, if she would decide to continue her game of words.
He'd make his bet on Lust.

Alena was still while Kyle ordered a fairly nice bottle of wine, she was impressed nonetheless. Chteau Le Pin Pomerol was a personal favorite of the young girl, ever since the days that Father ruled. When the waiter left to fetch the bottle of wine, Vanity's attention was drawn back to Greed. He was flattering her, but to her this was business. She knew he'd say anything for her to reveal herself to him, and she assumed this was an act.

"Charming, I must." Alena leans her body over the table once more, battering her eyes in his general direction. "But, I don't think you've earned the right to know my name just yet...." Her voice trails off into a faint whisper. "I assume you've narrowed the selection down, but little do you know..." Alena immediately stops when the waiter arrives back to the table with the bottle of wine.

"Sir, here you go." The waiter shows the bottle to the man, waiting for the approval to pour the tasting sip into his glass.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

Post by Guest Sun Dec 19, 2010 5:49 pm

Kyle only kept smiling as the girl - Alena, told him that he did not earn the right to know her name. This was starting to get annoying. And Greed wasn't the patient one, nor someone who would just take that kind of thing. On the outside he seemed unchanged, but on the inside.... he was getting angry. Who did this girl think she was?! She was talking to Greed - GREED!!! The best Homunculi there ever was - he was the strongest, most clever and most dangerous of all of them! And she? It would seem she had some twisted kind of Pride to talk like that.
As the waiter brought the wine, Kyle gave turned his face to him. He looked at the bottle and nodded, taking it from his hands with one quick motion:

"I'll take that, and thank you." - his tone of voice wasn't a pleasant one. He made it clear that he either mocked this guy, or treated him like trash, which he was to Greed. The waiter wasn't all that happy, and walked away, probably not only thinking, but also taking out loud all he thought about Kyle right now. Lots of swearing and curses.
Meanwhile, Greed opened the bottle of wine and poured some for Alena, then for himself. He spoke, while taking up the glass:

"I have narrowed down my choices, but that doesn't mean I have to earn the right to know.... I can just take it. Force the events so to speak..." - he smiled at the Homunculi girl. - "I'm like that, you should know... the others might be cruel - but me.... I'm worse, lot worse." - he extended his arm, waiting for their glasses to knock on each other. From the side this would look like nothing out of the ordinary, but the tension rose a little bit.
Oh, it was bad for people around Kyle when he was starting to get ticked off. It wasn't all that hard to get him out of control. The only one's he could tolerate were the other Homunculi - the one's he knew, and a few - just a very few select humans - like Shukan. But Shukan could hardly be called a human being - that's why he was an exception - he was just as inhumane as Kyle Crane himself was. But this girl - he didn't know her enough to make special exceptions for her.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

Alena sat on the other side of the table with perfect posture, image was everything to her after all. As the man continues to mock the waiter, it was clear he truly was Greed. Her lips were firmly pressed together while she sits with her hands folded in her lap. Kyle doesn't take any time pouring the wine into the glasses, before semi toasting for the two. On the outside Greed kept cool, but on the inside his fiery spirit was getting restless just how it ought to be. Vanity on the other hand, was completely under control inside and out. She knew her ability would save her, if she needed it. Even if he were a homunculus, and related to her, she wasn't afraid to defend if the time came. To the average person his words would be a threat, but to Vanity they were nothing. After all, Vanity embodied Father as well.

"Well Greed, I'm sorry but you've never met me before. So I wouldn't say you can just 'take it' from me." Alena leans back into her chair and takes a long sip of wine. The whole time however, she kept a firm gaze into his eyes. "Force? Well then.." She begins twirling the wine around in her glass as she leans back over the table. "That's unfortunate for you, because you'll have no idea who you're dealing with here." Alright, enough was almost enough- she knew. Alena slowly raises back into proper posture as she spoke. "I'll give you a hint- There aren't 7 in our family, but actually 8." Alena bellows out in a calming laughter, before completing her first cup of wine for the evening.

So - the girl had enough pride to look down on Greed? He cloud already see that he could take her down in two hits. No shadows or lances could help the girl as she would not hit her target, or even if she did - Kyle was pretty confident his skin could take it.
He listened to her talk and was about to say something even more spiteful, but then her last words left his mind blank for a few seconds. His thoughts have stopped, he could not understand at first - then it came to him, he began thinking fast, deciphering her words and thinking up an answer. All he could come up with was:

"What?" - then silence fell upon their table, as if Greed had nothing more to say and Alena wasn't going to talk anymore. Then he showed a faint smile and continued. - "What do you mean? 8 and not 7 of us? Why do you know such things, no - how? Wait.... who are you? Answer me.... whoever you are!" - Kyle was now starting to get dead-serious. He wasn't scared - no, well maybe just a little bit. The things this woman said - they did not fit his perfected plans at all. She was an unfamiliar subject. She could be a threat - she was a dangerous factor... too unpredictable. No - no, Kyle was going to make her talk - one way or the other.... No.
Suddenly the atmosphere changed, Kyle relaxed and leaned back on his chair, his faint, unsure smile was now a laidback grin - it was as if he suddenly realized or understood something. Greed crossed his fingers on his stomach and spoke in a soft tone:

"Okay, I think that was a bad start - wasn't it? I'd prefer we start this over - no more unpleasantries or anything." - Kyle took his glass of wine and drank up a bit, after raising his hand. - "Let us be friends. And would you please tell me who you are? You must understand - you gave me quite a scare there, I was just being cautious, ya know?"
Greed was now an another man altogether.

The silence between them wasn't bothering Alena one bit, instead she delighted in it. It was clear upon his facial reaction, that he was beginning to understand her words. It must of come at a bit of a shock, realizing he didn't know something. That was most pleasing to Vanity. The attractive girl sat still on the other side of the table, watching his body reveal everything he was thinking up until the point of boiling into a small rant.

His words were spiteful, full of anger and confusion. Their eyes only caught for a split second before she breaks contact with him to reach for a small tube of lipstick from her pocketbook. She takes a moment to open the cap and wind the stick up a bit, all the while he was attempting to 'cool' himself down. Once she finally begins painting on the glossy coating to her lips, her partner for the night was a completely different man. His mannerisms were calm, and he had seem to relax quite a bit.

The top lip was done, and now the second was finished. Alena rubs her lips together several times before putting away the tube of lipstick. Perfect! She thought to herself while pouring herself another glass of wine.

"That was being cautious?" Alena smirks playfully to herself once more before taking another small swish of wine. "Now then, that isn't such a bad idea. First off, let's just say Father created another sin. One last child to vail all of his accomplishments in life. Something to give him the glory on the outside to all those around. He created another sin to give his essences too before he was killed." She stops for a moment, before leaning across the table once more. "Vanity." Alena casually says before lifting her body back into a proper position against the dinning room chair.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

Post by Guest Wed Dec 22, 2010 5:46 pm

Kyle listened to her speak, and when the woman leaned over the table, closer to him - he did the exact same thing. And now he knew her name.... Vanity. So... Father had created someone else besides his favourite 7 children. Greed himself would not believe this, if not for the specific aura and scent that this woman gave off. She was the real deal, and it would seem that the old man was tricky until the end. He always did have a hidden card o his deck. Until he was killed, that is.
Now it all came together nicely. She perhaps was a human-based Homunculus, since her scent was much like Wrath's. Oh well - if she was not as humane as Menoitos, Kyle would only be happy to have met the girl.
Greed kept his smile as he spoke out his thoughts:

"I see now. Tricky - I like that. But..." - the Homunculus sipped some more wine. - "Why didja call me here? I mean - it wasn't only to introduce yourself, was it? Now that we've spoken a little bit, sister - I understand that you've got a lot more to ya than meets the eye. Right?" - Kyle stopped the waiter that was passing by and spoke to him, making an order. - "I'll have some steak. Make it happen." - he turned back to Alena... or Vanity. - "Let's celebrate this warm family reunion, eh? Order something to eat."

Now all that remained was for Vanity to tell him what was her goal. He would perhaps even accept it, if she would not interfere with his own goals and plans. She was family after all, and perhaps she would turn out to be a good family member after all, despite being human-based.

Alena shifts her body position in the chair, with this she switches which leg is crossed underneath the table. A genuine smile appears on her face as he orders and questions about why she'd call him to this meeting. Part of her just wanted to tell him it was a 'get to know' sorta dinner, however that would be a lie and he'd know it. Her eyes shift from him and to the waiter. She calmly responds with the same request, for a steak, only this time cooked medium rare.

The moment the young boy left to place our order with the cook, Vanity takes another small sip of wine and chuckles faintly. "Well, brother, too us!" She raises her glass and clings it against his lightly before taking another swish of the delicious drink. "Now, now, now. I called you here, because we need to take control of Central. I assume you want the world to be yours, which is fine, you can have anything and everything you want." Alena takes a moment to gather her thoughts, before attempting to explain her wish. I want to take out those in command. The current Fuhrer is a joke, she's easily manipulated. However, I want to kill her brother myself. Vanity stops for a moment, picturing Aurelius in her mind. His eyes we so draining and she despised him for abandoning her. Before long she snaps out of it and looks back at Greed. "Once Hild is out of the way, along with her brother, you can have whatever it is you wish." Alena lowers her gaze away from Greed and stares at the table cloth for a minute. "I, I just can't do this alone brother." Her voice was vulnerable but strong at the same time.

"To us!" - Kyle replied as Vanity and he clanked their glasses of wine. After that he made a few sips, almost finishing off the drink he had in his hand and put the glass back on the table. He crossed his legs again and listened to Alena speak. It was good that she hadn't said that she wanted just to meet him - that would be a lie too obvious. Besides, it seemed like the girl was starting to open up... maybe just a little bit, but still. Or she was just as good at acting as Kyle was himself.
He listened to her attentively, remembering every word. So - basically she wanted to take control of Central. A worthy goal - she was Kyle's sister alright. And her Father's daughter. Greed smirked as the girl spoke of his supposed plans - oh, so she thought that was all he wanted?! Hahahaha - she was too naive. But she was thinking logically if it was Greed she was trying to figure out. Of course - being this greedy, she thought that Kyle wanted control over the world. She was right of course, but she still was too simple-minded. Greed's greed was far more complex.
Kyle made a "hmph" as his sister finished talking. So - despite being Vanity, she admitted she needed help. Oh well - she wasn't Pride, but still. Greed would play along for now - he was still unsure if he could really trust her... even if their goals were nearly the same.

"Hahahahaha. Once they are dealt with - I will have anything I wish." - his expression changed, softening up a bit. - "But I hear ya. If you need help - I'm willing to listen. But... Aurel is a tough target, nu? How do ya plan to off him?" - Kyle shrugged, while leaning closer to the table. It was a good thing that all the clanking and the chatter made it hard for people to hear what Alena and Kyle were talking about. Such a crowded place, filled with disgusting humans was the best place to hide - ironic.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

Honestly, she probably could go at this alone. After all, she was Vanity. But there were times, where she'd rather not get her hands dirty, after all, she had a certain image to uphold. While on the outside she seemed put together with it all, on the inside she was desperate for more attention. She wanted to be known, known by all no matter the circumstances. Once she finishes speaking, she folds her hands in her lap, listening to greed's devilish cackle from under his breath. He seem to enjoy her proposition, but she knew very well, it would take time before each one trusted the other.

In the back of her mind, she couldn't stop thinking of Aurelius. Especially once her Homunculus brother asked her how she'd plan to take him out. It hadn't really been something she thought of in great detail. All she knew, was how to get to him. As Greed wraps up his sly comment, Alena reaches down back into her pocketbook and fumbles around searching for something. Ah, here it is.. She repeats to herself before handing a small photograph across the table. The picture was a simple shot, of a small boy holding an even younger girls hand in a field of grass. Both their smiles were bright as the sun shining high above their heads.

"I plan on using this to my advantage against him. Take note, that there is Aurelius as a small boy..." Alena nods once and slowly looks away from Greed and the photograph. "Who do you think the girl is?" She questions, expecting him to know the answer immediately.

Greed lowered his head, and held a bit of his hair with his fingers, so that they wouldn't get into his eyes when he'd look at the photo. After all - he did take off his hat. It was lying right beside him, on the edge of the table. He'd never let go of his hat if it wouldn't be within the distance of his reach. Should someone try and take his hat - they would bring about their certain doom.
Anway - Greed looked at the picture. One was really a small boy, that held some distinctive attributes of the one named Aurelius - the current human Fuhrer. The other was a small girl... Kyle's eyes opened up a little bit, showing Alena the color of his iris - it was amber, and his pupils were rather small, making his look a very, VERY unpleasant one. He kept his eyes open only for a moment though, unintentionally showing the girl what his expression really was like. If he'd just keep his eyes open - everyone he met would think he wanted to kill them, rip them apart or simply mutilate their body for no apparent reason. That was the reason Kyle always had his eyes narrowed.
But a single second or perhaps even two passed - then Kyle hurriedly reverted back to his old self, closing his eyes. However there was no smile or grin on his face right now:

"Damn - I'll be damned, if it ain't..." - he looked up at Vanity. - "She's the one I'm thinking she is - is she? I mean - you. That girl is you - isn't she? I see - not that it was that unexpected." - Greed smiled again, this time showing a twisted grin, with a bit of his teeth showing. - "... you look so happy and cuuute, aawww. So why waste him now? A lifelong grudge?" - Kyle calmed himslef, and restrained from laughing. Of course - he was simply like that. He couldn't do anything about his habit of mentally torturing people, so he did, or at least tried to do the same thing to Vanity. And he was also interested if this could be her weak point.

Out of the corner of her, Vanity caught a quick glimpse of his eyes. They were hideous, monstrous things, that very well indeed look like they'd rip a person apart in a second. There was a part of her that was unpleased with his reaction, but the other completely relieved from the circumstances. Honestly, she hadn't a clue why she'd show him the picture, after all, it could be used as a weakness to her. Or maybe that was the point? It was a way she'd show some sort of trust to her homunculus brother. Even if he didn't realize it that way.

"Well, yes- yes that is me." She nods in agreement to his words, and begins battering her eyes at the young waiter from afar, attempting to seduce him. "Just between us two, I hate Aurelius. He's a jerk, and he left me to die when I was a child. I could careless what happens to him in the future." Alena spits out before giving a slight sigh of annoyance of just thinking about that man.

Alena reaches down once more for her pocketbook, but this time places it in her lap as she takes hold of the old family photograph and stuff it away into her safekeeping.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

Post by Guest Fri Dec 24, 2010 10:11 am

Kyle noticed how fast and sudden her movements became. She also spoke very little while the topic was about Aurelius. So - he was her weak point, even if she did not admit it. He wondered if she really wanted to kill him, or perhaps something else was in store for the current Fuhrer?
Anyway - Kyle's joke did not seem to affect the woman, but he was a little pleased anyway. However... she turned out to be more human than Greed had hoped. She could be easily overcome with irritation and perhaps some kind of hate/love emotion, judging from her behaviour. Oh well - at least it didn't look like she was going to trick Kyle, although the latter could not be entirely sure. Hah - even IF she wanted to trick him or use him, it was not like Kyle was alone. He had a few able men with him, and more than a few connections in the higher-ups. AND a lot of cash. His latest bank job in Creta was just a small portion of his current wealth... he was Greed after all - he knew how to get and keep money.
The Humunculus sighed as well, before talking:

"I see. Don't worry - he won't last on that throne of his for long. In truth - I was already doing something to take over this country..." - Kyle wanted to add "and more" but restrained himself. He was already making a wild bet with telling her that he had a plan... and that it was half-completed. - "I think you'll be rather surprised by my results... but that comes later. For now - I want to know how to contact you, it's not like you'll be living with me, hahaha! And I might need you for something else later... after I know what Vanity's strength really is. - Kyle grinned. She must have understood what he meant by that last statement. He still did not know of her powers after all, even thought she could have known his. Father could tell her about the others while he was still alive, the sneaky old bastard.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

As Alena hurries to shove the picture away, it would seem quite obvious that she still cared about her abandoned brother. However, that was not her true intent, instead she was merely concerned someone would find the picture and tell Aurelius before she had the chance too. "Greed, Aurelius doesn't know that I'm still alive, much less, here in central!" Alena rolls her eyes and stares at the kitchen entrance, waiting patiently for her food to arrive.
However, the moment Kyle spoke of already having a plan in the works of taking control of central, Vanity's soon became even more intrigued with the man. "Hmm..." She moans to herself, listening carefully and nodding her head in agreement slightly.
"Well, Kyle, you can reach me here..." Alena reaches down into her pocketbook and pulls out a pen. She quickly scribbles down the hotel address and the room number she was staying in during her time in central. As for his other question, Vanity answers simple with; "You'll see my strength with the time comes Ultimate Shield." Alena gives a quick wink to Kyle because it was true, Father did explain to Alena the powers of all his children when she was growing up. Alena hands the piece of paper to Kyle, along with her pen for good luck. "Now then, have you spoken with any of the others about this subject at all? I'm only asking, so I know who I can, well, 'trust' with this touchy subject of ours. Afterall, you have a better understanding which siblings would be down with the plan over others."

Kyle looked at Alena while she spoke, then looked around, as if searching for something. When the woman gave his the piece of paper he took it, along with the pen, and put it in the inner pocket of his coat. Then he watched as the waiter finally brought them their food. He placed the plates in front of Kyle and Alena, said "Bon Appetit" and walked away, serving the other clients.
Now Kyle took the table ware in his hands and started to eat, while talking. Of course, he did not talk with his mouth full, for that would be very rude:

"Hehe, then Aurel is gonna be in for one nasty surprise, eh?" - he made a slight pause, smiling at Vanity, before he continued to speak. - "As for others of our family... I do not recommend you to speak with Wrath, Sloth and Gluttony. I have already spoken with all of them, and they should not be involved..." - in truth Greed spoke only with Wrath and Gluttony, while he had only investigated Sloth, but Vanity did not need to know of that... yet. - "... as for the others - I have no information as to contact them. I have no idea where Pride is, as well as Lust. They simply seemed to disappear. The only one I could reach was Envy. He'll help us."

Greed smiled. It was almost all according to plan. He wished he'd have Pride and Lust as his allies, but alas - he really could not find them, and Gluttony.... she was too immature for an important task like this. As for the others of his family.... Greed had other roles for them to play.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

Alena smiles gleefully at the waiter once there food is brought. It looked delicious! It had been a while since she had a nice juicy steak to devour. She takes hold of her knife in her right hand and the fork in her left, slowly she begins to cut away several pieces of the meat. She waits for him to finishes speaking before she says her deal. For now she just enjoyed her steak. It really was delicious!

"Well, Greed, I'm a bit surprise you haven't contacted Lust. I always imagined you'd be close with her. Ultimate Shield and Spear combo deal?" Alena chuckles slowly and shakes her head, controlling her laughter. "As for Gluttony, she's not much help anyways. But then again, was Gluttony ever?" Alena begins to slice away a couple more pieces of meat, and begins mixing it in with the vegetables on her plate. This was truly a flattering meal that the cooks have prepared. "However with Pride, I'll be in contact with him shortly. I'll see what exactly I can do." Vanity speaks softly before she takes another bite of her meal.

Pride was someone that would be vulnerable, and she knew exactly how to contact him. Lust on the other hand would be difficult. For some reason, she just got a feeling the current Lust would be hopeless, like Gluttony.

Greed looked at his meal, it seemed like he was done with it, almost. Then he looked back at Vanity. She was an interesting one, she was. And unlike some - she displayed not only beauty on the inside, but seemed to be quite beautiful on the inside. She was no fool, but she was still only half-Homunculi and lacked a few things. Well... Greed could teach her what it was to be a real Homunculi. But then again... he could not see how to use her abilities exactly. While he knew of everyone else and knew where they'd fit in best - Vanity was still a mystery.
And it angered him a little, those words of hers:

"Why would my magnificent power be a good combo with Lust? Hah! His abilities are nothing much but a joke." - Greed pored some wine into his glass, after pouring some for Alena, and drank it with one go. - "As for Pride.... be careful with him - he always was the most Prideful one of us. He might get some big ideas, but it's me - I'M the one who's the leader of this whole thing! I spent months on preparation! ME! ME!" - Greed almost hit the table with his fist, but calmed down. A few people turned their attention to Kyle when he raised his voice, but quickly lost interest after he had calmed down.
Greed put his hat on:

"Do we leave now that we're done and find some other place to hang out? Or do we part ways for now?"

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

Vanity continues to finish her meal for the evening. Over all she'd give it an 8 out of 10. It was a very pleasant meal. Alena reaches up and tucks a piece of loose hair behind her ear as she looks up once Greed begins his rants again. It seemed to be a common thing for him, but after all, he was Greed. Alena looks around at the few people that turned to look at Greed, and she mouthed 'sorry' before looking back at her sibling.

"Absolutely, Greed. You are the leader, you are in charge. Pride, can't compete with you on that level, Kyle." Vanity was attempting to calm him down in some way, but she spoke truth in her words. To her, Greed was more valuable and pleasant than Pride would be. Alena places her fork and knife on her plate properly, and summons the waiter over to their table. "We'll take the check now." Alena explains before opening her pocketbook. Her fingers shuffle around the purse searching for two peppermints. "Ah, here we go. Kyle, take a mint." She smiles genuinely once she finds two and ends up handing him a peppermint.

The waiter arrives back with the check, and Vanity hands him her card. It wasn't long until he returned and they were ready to be on their way. "Kyle, we can be done here if you wish. It's up to you Greed, I'm not sure how much time I've wasted of yours."

Kyle took the peppermint and looked at it for a few seconds, inspecting it... it looked especially weird with his narrowed eyes, which made it look like he was really looking for some kind of poison or a microfilm in it. He threw the mint into his mouth and smiled - there was no way he'd say no to something that was free, even if it was a mousetrap. Then again - he was the kind of mouse that would break the mousetrap and still get his cheese.
As Kyle walked out of the restaurant he looked around, inhaling the night air. It would seem that they had only spent about 2 hours inside. The night was still young and perhaps Greed could be a little greedy tonight. He spun around on his heels to face Vanity:

"What a night, huh? Makes my instincts go haywire, hahaha!" - he smiled and put on of his hands into the pocket of his pants. - "How about we take a walk? I won't take no for an answer - you know me." - Kyle pulled his face closer to Vanity, while still grinning. The night air did make him go a little crazy, perhaps. He wanted to go wild right now - kill, take things and make fortune.

After about 15 seconds, Kyle moved back, interested at how had Alena taken his presence so far. Once when he did that to some alchemist girl - she told him that she felt like there was an invisible snake coiling around her, making her suffocate. Greed wondered if Vanity felt the same?

"Shall we go?" - the words came out a bit separately, as if Kyle wanted to underline them.

Vanity's attention was quickly on Greed, faster than she intended. His presences was so close to hers, she could even feel his breathing on her lips as he spoke. To a normal person, yes this would feel uncomfortable. As if all the breath was being sucked out of the body and into his. His soul was pure evil, devouring on the prey of the weak and fearful. However, Vanity wasn't too fearful of his gesture. Instead, she held her ground and allowed him to inhale her breathing. She knew in the long run, she was a lot stronger than he could imagine.

Nonetheless, as soon as Greed said his words oddly, putting extra emphasis after each one, she knew it was going to be an interesting night. Her eyes break from his, staring off into the direction a head. Alena nods once and begins walking down the pathway. The stars decorated the sky, leaving a vail of mystery to blanket the world. It was a beautiful night, something Vanity admired greatly. Step by step she walks in silences, not knowing what all to say to her brother. Finally, after the little journey progressed, she turns to look at him.

"Well, Greed, what do you have planned for the evening?" Alena sincerely smiles and laughs faintly after her words come to an end. Knowing him, anything was possible.

Greed + Vanity? Empty Re: Greed + Vanity?

OOC: Sowwy... I just have no ideas....

IC:
Greed enjoyed the silence for once, as they waked further and further into the City Night. They came onto a small bridge that was built over one of the small water canals in Central. He was thinking about where to go next and what to do with his new-found sister, but suddenly his phone rang, which was a rare event indeed. It was the 4th time in two years that someone called him. It must have been important.
Kyle pulled out the phone from the hidden pocket in his coat and brought it up to his ear:

"Yes.... yes. Good. Then we proceed as planned." - Kyle turned around, to face the water, so that people passing by couldn't see his face. Alena probably could see it though. Not like Greed needed to hide his face from her. Across his face a twisted and inhuman grin stretched, giving his face a demonic visage, showing what he really was like - a monster covered in human flesh. His eyes opened a little bit, showing his maniacal stare. Alena could probably see that he put a lot of effort to calm down and make his face go to normal. He replied to whoever was on the other side of the phone. - "Good, hahahaha - they have days then. Let them enjoy whatever time they got left. Soon I'll send them both to the other side." - he chuckled, turning off the phone and putting it back to his pocket. It was a chuckle that could send cold shivers down one's spine.
Greed turned to Vanity:

"I'm sorry - but I have quite an important matter to attend to. I must be going." - he took her hand and bowed, kissing her lightly on the back of her wrist - he was a gentleman after all. - "I'll be waiting until our next meeting."

Kyle let go of her hand and turned around, walking into the night's darkness. He had to do this, even if it was a hard decision.
