DESCRIPTION:
→ As an Ishvalan, Lyte possesses relatively dark skin, eyes colored red to the point of being described as crimson, and white hair that he keeps somewhat short, except for a few bangs that hang in front of his face. His body type would be considered athletic, as in he has no 'extra fat' anywhere on him as a result of his training with Xanthus. He can easily outrun several men, and (despite his size) is physically very strong, although he prefers to avoid hand to hand combat mostly.

On a normal day, he'll wear a light brown long sleeved shirt with a headband of the same color on his head. His legs well be covered by dark brown khaki's and he'll wear dark brown sandles on his feet.

However, if he is doing work for the military, Lyte will don the proper military outfit, right down to the ranking symbols on his collar, among other places. If he goes to colder places, such as Briggs, expect him to wear a white version of the military uniform that also is specifically designed for optimal comfort in cold areas.

PERSONALITY:
→On a normal day, Lyte can be seen as being mature and serious and then turning around to become somewhat immature and playful, almost to the point where some wonder if he has two personalities, though this is more than likely due to the fact that he's only a teenager, nineteen at max. More results of his youth are his fascination and intense love of virtually anything sweet and his tendency to glomp certain people upon sight, including his brother and people whom he likes.

Lyte dislikes arrogance, because he sees it as the downfall of many a great man and woman. However, he does have a lot of self confidence, which is evident when he is on missions, or even when he is simply training with others by way of his commanding, nonchalant aura. But, he does have a weakness in his shell, being that he is somewhat shy, especially around girls his age. This is perhaps because of the fact that he is still young. However, if he can get around his shyness, he can either become something of a flirt, or he'll become instantly a more 'chill' version of his normal self; either way, amusement is often guaranteed by his 'antics.'

Lyte is cunning, clever, and analytical, making him one Ishbalan that is not to be trifled with. Though he prefers to sit on the sidelines and direct battles from there, perhaps throwing in some long distance attacks with his gravity alchemy, he has no problem with wading into the thick of whatever battle he happens to be a part of. And he almost never goes into a situation without a plan, regardless of how bad the situation seems to be.

Like Xan (and perhaps because of him) Lyte has a talent for manipulation, and to his intense delight, he has found that he can use said talent to great effect in the Military.

As I rode through the blazing sands of the desert astride my steed, Shadow, I began to see the desert ruins that were once the capital city of the Empire of Xerxes. As I rode into said ruins, I began to wonder if I had gone just a slight bit crazy. I heard a soft moaning sound, as though from a dying child from somewhere deeper inside the ruins. The sound became unbearable after about a minute, and I felt that if I did not search for the sound, I would go mad with fear and worry. A child's life was perhaps at stake! I searched, even using my alchemy to disintegrate entire sections of rubble until at last I found the child trapped inside of a building with a large rock in front of it, covered in cuts, bruises, and scratches of an ominous and malevolent nature. Using what basic supplies that I had with me, I kept the child alive long enough to take him to see my parents, whom I then helped to bring the boy back to being conscious.

I was intensely shocked in the most pleasant way to discover that my parents had adopted the boy from the Xerxes Ruins, whom I had taken to calling Lyte. The proclaimed that since we were already good friends, it wouldn't be much of a problem if we started to call each other 'Brother' in addition. We took to the idea readily, becoming highly amused and even more closely bonded.

[Excerpt from the Journal of Xanthus (Before the Battle against Creta)]
I was surprised, then amused to discover that my brother had signed up to become a part of Amestris' military, and was becoming prepared to be stationed in one of the military bases. Paying him a visit, I asked him why he wanted to join the military; he responded with a smile that he had been motivated by the stories, rumors, and news broadcasts about the heroic and near legendary feats of myself the Infinity Alchemist, and Reila Tsukino, Ice Queen of Briggs. He proclaimed that he would use his own brand of Alchemy to become a hero of our caliber. I asked him how he became an alchemist, and he replied that he had been reading my old books on Gravity Alchemy and improving on their theories, principles and techniques. Impressed, and proud beyond measure, I told him that he would have a great future in the military if he kept up with his studies and kept his present attitude. So far, I have not been wrong if his start has anything to say about it...

It has been some time since Lyte joined the Eastern Command Center. It seems ironic, and somewhat unfair that so soon after he should be granted such a high rank and position the entirety of East City should be destroyed. But Lyte only casually brushes my concerns aside whenever I come upon the topic. It is quite strange to think that someone of his age (15-19) should be able to take the loss of the city that he was charged to protect so...lightly. A shadow covers my thoughts when I think about this, but I do not know the meaning behind it and I can only suppress the darkness that covers my mind (even now!) as I ponder this oddity. Another thing to ponder however, would be Lyte's new...features. He tries to hide them from me but it is futile; as a former alchemist and a former special operative for Amestris, my eyes are quick to notice anomalies no matter how well they tend to be hidden. My little brother now has fangs and his pupils are slits. I do not know, and nor do I really care why, but apparently he has become infused with a snake...the surgery looks to be of the highest possible quality, something that confuses me; who did he get to perform such a surgery? Only a very few should be capable...*sigh* Apparently now we have more in common than our last names and Ishvalan heritage. Now neither of us is fully human...

ALCHEMIC/ALKAHESTRIC ABILITY:
→ Specialty Alchemy: Lyte does not use a simple transmutation circle. Rather, his entire body is covered in an intricate array of tattoos that form nine circles at certain parts of Lyte's body that are connected by patterned lines. The actual circles are located on Lyte’s head(1), chest(1), shoulders(2), back(1), palms(2), and feet(2). Using the tattoo, Lyte does not have to waste time drawing a circle, instead being able to use his alchemy by either snapping his fingers, or waving his hands, similar to how Xanthus himself previously used alchemy. The reason that the circles are in nine different areas with lines connecting them is that the alchemic power needs to be able to flow smoothly throughout Xan’s body in order to effectively operate. Icarus' alchemy operates by manipulating gravitational fields through the manipulation of gravitons [In physics, the graviton is a hypothetical elementary particle that mediates the force of gravitation in the framework of quantum field theory], enabling the use of his various gravity-themed abilities.

→ Due to eating a philosopher's stone as a Chimera and without any sins Father created being available, Lyte has gained abilities akin to Hohenheim. He is capable of performing any alchemy within his mental capacity. However, seeing as his body is not immortal, if he uses alchemy too much, he threatens his life. And he only has one life. Lyte does not need to use transmutation circles.
