DEscriptION:
→ Strife’s appearance brings the word “sinister” to mind. The most striking feature is Strife’s ever present Mask. Simple in design, the mask holds a pair of black glaring eyes, and a slit like mouth which at points may appear to be smiling. There is also a dark blue/ purple lightning bolt that goes through Strife’s right eye on his mask. This mask also holds a device in the mouth section which changes his voice to be more metallic sounding. Long black hair falls down each side of the mask and a part fall in front, leaning slightly across to the right. Strife is tall and slim, and these features are shown by the long black jacket that he wears. He has it buttoned up most of the time, but the tails of the coat reveals that it’s a dark green on the inside. He wears black pants with a dark Grey belt which had several pouches which are used to hold military equipment. He also wears black shoes and black gloves, meaning that the back of his neck is the only part of his body uncovered.

PERSONALITY:
→ Although Strife is only a young man exiting his teens, the pessimistic way he looks upon the world is more commonly associated with war torn war veterans. He likes to share his views about this doomed world to others that don't see it the same way he does. His bleak outlook upon life is caused by past events and is what fuels his desire for revenge against Amestris and Drachma, two countries he despises. He sees himself as different from others. Not better but different. Therefore he finds it hard to get on with everybody apart from his fellow soldiers for Creta. While in battle he likes to taunt his opponents because by nature Strife is unforgiving and vengeful. He also judges everything one by the crimes there country has committed, Although that doesn't mean that he will kill everyone from drachma or Amestris, it just means he'll always find it hard to be friendly with them. He fights because of revenge and dislikes being used or people trying to persuade him from his path. Another trait is that he courageous, and although he can be reckless, he is a smart and skilled fighter. All of these do make him a good leader, although he himself doesn't like leading others. Strife prefers to be alone, or in small groups of people he sees as important and good people. He is usually impolite to most people only really treating his military superiors with the respect they deserve. Amongst this emotionally traumatized teenager, there is a lighter side. By all means he is human and Heterosexual, so some girls, no matter what citizen they are, will catch his eye a cute or sexy. He also extremely out spoken and out going. He doesn't mind saying what he's thinking or doing whatever to keep himself occupied.

HISTORY:
→ Strife was born in London, Creta, by the Name Riley Maleagant which is located north near the border with Amestris. His mother owned a bakery and his father was a soldier and alchemist for the creatian military. He admired his father from a young age because of his brave and noble profession, but also disliked what he did because of how much time he spent away from home guarding the border that they share with the military minded country, Amestris. He always knew that he wanted to follow his fathers footsteps and join the military, despite his mothers disapproval and the fact that his grades were good enough to let him be anything he wanted to be. It seemed that war would break out between Amestris and Creta, meaning that it would seem that Riley would be joining in the next few years. He was 15 when drachma decided to sign a treaty between themselves and Creta. However only a few months later Amestris attacked with overwhelming forces, destroying the north border. Creta requested Drachma's support, yet they didn't turn up. The treaty was quickly abolished and Creta, who only just managed to push Amestris back where dealing with the destroyed northern border. At this time both Riley and his mother were hoping and praying for good news, for his fathers safety. However a couple of days later a soldier came personally to give the Maleagant family the bad news. Riley's Father was one of the many casualties of the attack.

Riley was 15. He was old enough to see the fact that this could have been avoided by Drachma's intervention. He was also old enough to realized just how many people were affected. However he was young enough to hold a grudge against all of Amestris and drachma even though some of the people in those countries were innocent. Due to the pain he felt from the loss of his father this childish grudge took over Riley as he grew older, eventually causing him to think about abandoning his name so that he could take his violent revenge without destroying the respected name that he father had created. So Strife was born, but at this point he had to stay Riley. Soon after this information arrive Riley had inherited few things from his father, one of them being his book of research notes about his alchemy and another was a small key. Both of them were ties to a small letter which read
My Son
I realized that if this has been sent to you then I have departed. Don't cry, because I died doing something I loved, defending those important to me. I have come to realize that you are just like me, and i couldn't be more proud. This book contains my alchemy, with that you can defend those important just as I did. They key unlocks the equipment needed, however you can only open this when you've truly decided to join the military. Hand the key into the registration office to sign up in and you'll eventually receive those things. Remember, I love you. And take care of your mother.

The letter was enough to make Riley cry. His father used the power that was now in Riley's hand to defend people. It hurt Riley to think that he wanted to use it to only hurt others.
"I'm Sorry Father," he said. "I can't do what you would want, those that took you must be punished! They will feel pain!"

Riley continued his education until he was 17. While still in school he would go to the gym and work out, preparing himself for the military. As he got into he later teens all he could think about was revenge, however this spawned the idea in his head that the world itself was rotting, with the constant battles cause the world to slowly destroy itself. He began distancing himself from everybody else, and began calling himself and making others call him Strife, a name unlike most other people. Is other past time was studying his fathers alchemy, he started at 15 years old and by 17 he had mastered to concept, and how to manipulate the oxygen, unfortunately there wasn't any way to try the actual fire attacks as in the book as they were all lacking in a way to create the initial spark. The day after his 17th birthday he enter the military and handed in his key to the registration office. After about a week a parcel arrived for him. Of course he opened straight away, ecstatic to find out what his father had left him. He opened the velvet case to find a usual shaped sword, which seemed to be merged with a revolver. Although after closer inspection, testing and reference to the research notes Strife found that by shooting a bullet down the blade it creates a spark a the end of the gun and the circle upon the side was the same as in the book although slightly enhanced. With this weapon Strife entered a special forces in the creatian military was was given a new uniform, although to mark himself out and distance himself his decided to wear a mask. In two years Strife worked his way up the military and earned himself the nickname The Masked Destroyer, due to the destructive power of his alchemy which held no prisoners.

ALCHEMIC ABILITY:
→ Strife has a unique weapon called a gun blade, which allows him to use a form of fire alchemy similar to that of Roy mustang. He pulls the trigger and bullet shoots down a long barrel, but before it leaves the barrel it touches a mechanism near the end which creates a spark and then using the alchemic circle upon the blade of his gun his is able to create a large pathway of oxygen straight on from the gun blade which he can use direct the ensuing flame birthed by the spark and create a pillar of flames that seem to start from the blade and engulf anything in front of it..
