DESCRIPTION:
→ Ishida has brown hair that he doesn't really stylize, he just wears it down and to, about, his neck. He has clear amethyst purple eyes that seem to peer into one's soul. He's not tall, but he's not super short either. Ishida is a skinny guy, but it's mostly muscle. He has a smaller frame, but isn't a weak man. He is often using proper posture in public, but when alone or with friends, he will slouch from time to time. Ishida has a soft, yet deep voice, that could be considered attractive, but nothing over the top. Often holding a smile, Ishida's face is pretty flawless in terms of skin. That would be due to his not allowing stress into his life. Ishida is often seen wearing a jacket of some kind, due to his dislike of the cold. He also likes wearing leather boots that are knee high and loose fitting around the leg. They not only allow room for his body-belt to move around, but also match the belt.

PERSONALITY:
→ Ishida is actually kind of arrogant. He honestly believes sometimes that he's always in the right. That said, Ishida isn't stupid. He does know when to shut his face-hole. It's part of how he got through school while being an arrogant smart-ass. Along with being a bit arrogant, Ishida is usually relaxed about almost everything. He says "It's how I get by." When he says that, he means, it's how he gets by after coming to a conclusion that life itself is pointless. Futile. People die. People always die. It's not a question of who, what, where, why, or how, Ishida realized it's when. He learned that after reading about the Elric Brothers from up north, and their adventure that started when they tried to bring back their dead mother. But, instead of giving up on life, he decided to see it through to the end.
Ishida had decided that life is futile, so he'd just try to relax for most of it. For instance, Ishida never sticks to a strict schedule. He gets to things when he does. This doesn't bode well for his military career, but he doesn't really care. He usually gets to things on time, but not as soon as his superiors would always like. He's not so loyal to authority figures and such, but will obey when he doesn't have an objection. Who is he loyal to? He's loyal to people who earn his loyalty. Good men and women, and family. When people demand his loyalty, he tends to be "very busy" when they ask for something. He had also decided that he would never blindly follow people. Ishida lives by his own code: "I will die someday. Maybe it's today." He doesn't waste a minute. He's always doing something that he wants to do. And he wants to make weapons for Aerugo.

HISTORY:
→ Ishida's dad died when the boy was 9 years old when his liver shut down. He didn't very much. Whenever he came home, he came home to drink, then leave again. Ishida found it annoying, and just stopped interacting with him. Nobody else in his family did. In fact, the only reason he was allowed inside was because Ishida's mother was so incredibly nice and they happened to have a little bit of money to spend more often than not. But she also followed the trend and ignored him most of the time. Ishida found that the only good quality his dad had, besides taste in wine, was that even though he was never home, he had never cheated on his mother. He had to respect the man for that, but that didn't mean he liked him. Even thought he hadn't liked his father, Ishida was still a little sad. He quickly got over it though.
Then March came. The March after his father's death. Since the money wasn't being spent on alcohol, Ishida's mother had decided to buy Ishida and his twin brother special presents for their birthday. They were both given bokken with their names professionally inscribed into the blades. This was the dawn of Ishida's love of swordplay and weaponry. He and his brother had played with these quite a bit. Aisu, being the smaller of the two, could never really beat Ishida. It wasn't until the next year that Ishida and Aisu got their REAL gifts. Two hand-forged katanas, with their names professionally engraved. The two 11-year-olds weren't allowed to touch them, though.
Nako, Ishida's older sister, was turning 14 the next month, April. The twins really wanted to get her something special. They hadn't done anything special for their sister in a while. Walking around Tokyo, Ishida and Aisu checked each store carefully. They had quite a bit of money in their pockets. Walking with a "jing jing jing", the two boys were jumped by older students in their class. Three on two. Needless to say, Ishida and Aisu handed their asses to them on a silver platter, but after walking out of the dark alley they had been taken to, they saw a beautiful necklace. They had decided to buy it for Nako, and they were rewarded with a hug that day.
Two years later, Nako was 15 and the twins were 13, Ishida and Aisu were allowed to hold their swords, not only because they had been excelling in their classes, but because she had hired a professional trainer. Ishida and Aisu were absolutely ecstatic! He had a year-long contract with the Tokemaru family. Some day of their training, Nako even came to join. By the next year, all three of the students could best their sensei easily. On his last day, he'd proclaimed, "I must be too good of a teacher." Thought it was obvious that he was going easy on the three of them.
Now 15, Ishida and Aisu were both declared geniuses and were allowed by their school to skip any class day that isn't a test day. Most of the time, they had still went to school, because they had nothing better to do, but Ishida had discovered the metals class. Delighted with what he could do with these machines and just a little bit of math, Ishida began designing his own sword. Though, the shop instructor had dictated that he wasn't allowed to sharpen it ever, he was allowed to at least shape and construct it. This was the beginning of his weapon designing passion.
One day, Ishida sat in the library, interested in the history of Amestris. He wanted to learn about offensive alchemy, even though he knew he hadn't the talent for it. One of the books mentioned the youngest state alchemist in history, but never mentioned a name. A little digging and he found the name Elric. He noticed that there was a small patch in their bio, so he searched around and found nothing.
He asked his school's librarian and she had suggested an antique book store for something hidden so long ago. He did so and came across a book, an old Amestrian soldier's journal, about the humunculi and Father and the Elric Brothers. Luckily for him, it was written in Cretan. Near the beginning, the soldier explained that was to keep his co-workers and subordinates trying to get some dirt on him from reading it.
He had started out depressed, for in his mind, he had thought about what they were struggling so hard for. They had lost their bodies trying to bring back their mother using human transmutation. That's when he put that book down and went to research human transmutation. Over the course of about a month of research, his thought process began to change. He started thinking that it's all pointless; life is pointless. Aisu, Nako and his mother sensed that something was wrong and approached him about it. He explained his problem, and as he did, came up with his answer. He said he was going to do whatever he wanted from now on.
Ishida, now living his life as if he'd die that very instant, dropped the death research and went into weaponry. Borrowing shop tools from the school, as well as buying his own, he started constructing a gun from scratch. He started small, a simple standard issue military pistol, with some adjustments and of his own little twists. Since the school wouldn't allow him to make it in their shop. He built a metal workshop in his family's backyard. Aisu and Nako would occasionally help him, but not very often. Finally, he'd constructed a custom gun mostly by himself from scratch using allowance tools and machines. Taking it to an appraiser, he said the craftsmanship was pretty good and that the creator just needed a little bit of practice.
The next 2 years were full of practice will weapons; guns, blades, gunblades, etc. Ishida had turned his little allowance built workshop into a larger almost professional weapon designing shop. He sold some of his creations and made a bit of profit, but nothing big. That was when he finally though about joining the Ministry of Heaven - Kajiya Kenkyū division in the Aerugese Shogunate.
Shortly after joining the military, Ishida had gotten an idea. He knew he could make it work. He requested a small team and put out his plans on paper. His team was delighted in his plan. From the beginning he had even started planning a training regimen for the use of it. Finally a year later, in March, Ishida had finished the first few prototype models of his 3-Dimensional Maneuver Gear. The next year was filled with getting used to the thing before official testing. Ishida expanded his four-month training regimen into a year and, with only a handful of others participating, got used to using the equipment. After this year, Ishida had uncleared everyone but himself on the testing. He was to wear this gear around for a period of time, using it as he felt like it. He liked it 'cos he can go faster whenever he wants to.

REVISE~
First off, love your signature. xD Most creative way of showing character language-colors thus far. Aaand, now for the revision points;
HISTORY: The book about homonculi and the Elrics, sadly, wouldn't be in a school library, if it existed at all; it's sorta canon that the events of that era were either unrecognized, or forgotten, to the obscure. He could perhaps find someone's old journal, perhaps some soldier who knew the main FMA characters, and may have been told about such events, in an antique book shop or something, however.
Other than that, I see nothing wrong here.

Re: Tokemaru, Ishida
Thank you very much for the compliment!
And how's this for that part about them brothers?

EDIT: The grammar might be a bit sloppy, but I'm a tad busy right now. If I still need to correct it all, just let me know and I'll get to it later.Tokemaru Ishida wrote:One day, Ishida sat in the library, interested in the history of Amestris.
