Texts were back and forth for days about silly things. Days turned to weeks and to months and Caj found himself pretty interested in ALejandra. Enough to settle down and be devoted? Hell no. He was no leashed dog! But! She had become something like a very close friend to him and in such a case, had earned a sort of trust out of him. That and she challenged him with her disbelief. This was a chance to show off too, which was ultimately something Caj LOVED to do. If he could flaunt his pride and glory, The Lady Gambit you bet damn well he would.
Every hair was in place. Today he'd pulled it back to look more professional and his outfit was a tuxedo he had owned for special occasions. Usually those involved working for the Mafia but yeaaahhh that wasn't exactly something he spread around. HOW he got the casino wasn't a question he'd answer or elaborate on. His eyes hid well behind a pair off shades, while he stepped into the large building. Let the game begin. In his bag, he kept a small box-container of wine, because he could and for once he decided to be thoughtful. A drop-dead gorgeous body like Alejandra with fiery personality to match? He definitely liked raising any chances of getting some. These silly little thoughts brought him to a table. The one he'd told her to meet him at. Would she come? He thought it likely and he sure hoped so. It wasn't just for sex, though. He enjoyed Alejandra as much out of bed as in... shocking as it were.

Re: Bet your boyfriend doesn't own a casino
Caj, her boytoyfriend-with-fantastic-benefits, had to be lying. Flat out had to be. They'd talked in the 5 months that they hadn't seen each other, plenty of flirty texts and slightly scandalous photos, but they'd also talked about themselves. Got to know each other as people, rather than just naked bodies. Caj liked to make sexual comments left and right and there were several areas of conversation he kind of shied away from. But he had eventually let her in on the secret that he owned a casino. Owned a mother-flippin' casino. That was something Alejandra could just NOT believe. But he'd insisted that she meet him there. Mildly curious, she had agreed. She'd been in Firenze from the holiday and had simply told a little fib that she was going back a day earlier. Instead, she had taken the train to Venezia and checked into the Lady Gambit, Caj's supposed casino. It had been a little odd, when she called to make a reservation... she had joked that she was a personal friend of Mr. Amato. They had put her on hold and then come back, staying that she was being put up in a gorgeous suite and for no charge. Alejandra had blanched a little at that, but she couldn't really think of a witty response.
So instead she had gone up to the suite, which was GORGEOUS, as promised. She had showered and straightened her hair. Then she had slipped into her brand new dress. The dress was a strapless black thing, covered in lace up to her neck. The back was open and tied at the neck. A feathery hem finished off the ensemble. She put her feet into some strappy black heels and stood before the full length mirror. Her hair was down, parted to the left side and swooped over one shoulder. She decided to finish the ensemble with some silver studs in her ears. Then it was time to dab a little perfume in a couple places. Her make-up was basic, a little black around her eyes and some red lipstick on her lips. She gave herself a cocky grin. Damn, she looked good. It seemed more likely that Caj hadn't been lying about owning a casino, so she'd be damned if she was going to be seen with the owner looking bad.
She left her room, a small black wristlet holding her room key, lipstick and cellphone. She had already called her mother, telling her she was home and was going to sleep. She didn't have to worry about any calls for the rest of the night, but better safe than sorry, she supposed. More habit than anything else. The elevator took her down to the main floor and she strolled through the casino to the restaurant. She saw Caj taking his seat at a table. She felt a smile growing on her lips. His hair tied back made him look dashing with his tux and the shades gave him the air of a celebrity. She cruised past the maitre d', long legs bronze and beautiful (as they should be. She came up behind Caj, her arms slipping easily around him. Her lips paused at his ear and whispered, “Hey there, handsome.” She then moved her lips a little lower to smack a bright red kiss on his cheek.

Re: Bet your boyfriend doesn't own a casino
As Caj waited, his eyes darted person to person. He knew a lot off the faces, as odd as it was. He often hid among the people and few knew who owned the place. The ones that needed to know, of course did, but most of the customers were clueless to the pink-haired owner a few tables away. It was amusing to see how a couple of waiters glared at him. He debated a moment to just fire them, but on the off chance he was getting laid.. he felt nice and let it slip. NOT that he had only brought Alejandra there for just that, but hell he was a healthy young man and it HAD been a while since the two of them had been in a room together AND the memory of the last time all tied together.. he was just pretty damn confident. Which was of course, nothing new. He had an ego the size of the empire state building half of the damn time, but damn did it feel good. Those fleeting moments of finally having something.. finally able to keep something did wonders for him.
Arms wrapped around him; warm and comfortable. Caj let out a soft hum of enjoyment. Lips pressed near his ear and hot air flowed over in the form of words. "Hey there, handsome." Oh he had shivers run up and down his spine temporarily. THAT was a greeting to revel in. It was a surprise once, when he RESISTED the urge and did not force her into a kiss. No, he had to be professional, but that didn't stop one hand reaching around to tug her into his lap. Yeah so much for professional. He grinned ear to ear and kissed her ear, before speaking. "Behave yourself, or else I'm going to just take you in front of everyone." Was he kidding? He didn't even know, but DAMN! The woman knew how to get him excited.
He laughed lightly after and helped her up, before he wandered over and pulled her chair out for her. He then went back to his seat and sat down as if nothing had happened. "So.." Time for some small talk. His lips curled into a grin and he looked at her, past his shades. "Drop dead gorgeous as ever, I see."

As she removed her arms to step around him, he tugged her into his lap, which caused her to chuckle. He kissed her ear, before saying something just a little bit scandalous. "Behave yourself, or else I'm going to just take you in front of everyone." Alejandra's eyes widened and she gave a bright burst of laughter. “What a scandal.” He was nice enough to help her up and walk her to her seat. As she sat she reached up and wiped her thumb across his cheek, wiping the lipstick mark away. She settled into her seat as he sat back down, setting her wristlet onto her lap.
"So... Drop dead gorgeous as ever, I see." She shrugged a shoulder lightly, waving a hand nonchalantly in the air as she looked to the ceiling. She breathed out in a sweet voice, “Ah, you flatter.” Breaking the character, she laughed. “You don't look so bad yourself. Very snazzy.” She stretched her legs out a little underneath the table, crossing her ankles. She had considered holding off on the owning-a-fucking-casino talk until later, but seeing him sitting in his tux in the actual casino... well, no time like the present. “I can't believe you own a casino. How in the hell did you manage that?”

"Ah, you flatter." He had to hold back on his response. She obviously had more to say to him. “You don't look so bad yourself. Very snazzy.”
"I aim to please." He winked at her with secret meaning. Of course, he ALWAYS pleased.
“I can't believe you own a casino. How in the hell did you manage that?” Oh!! This was the fun part! Caj leaned forward and pressed his palms together in a professional manner. His lips pulled back into a huge, cocky grin. "Want to know my secret?" Naturally he was over-dramatic in the moment. His hand ran through his hair and he looked at her with his narrowed eyes... sex eyes, because he could and only SHE could see them really anyways. "It's my charm and extremely good looks. Not to mention I look damn good in a tux."
For a moment he dispersed his hands to shift his chair, but beneath the table, his hand sat affectionately on her leg. "But naturally. My appearance has nothing compared to the Goddess in front of me. I had to wear sunglasses so I could bask in your beauty without going blind." Content with his words, he dropped his words after that, squeezed her knee lightly and then put both hands back on the table. "So, impressed?"

Re: Bet your boyfriend doesn't own a casino
"Want to know my secret? It's my charm and extremely good looks. Not to mention I look damn good in a tux." Alejandra managed to keep her voice low, but the two words were clear enough, even behind her chuckle. “Bull. Shit.” Fine. He wasn't going to share his secret. Not that she had expected him to drop his life story, but some details would've been nice. Caj was a smart guy; maybe it was an investment deal. Maybe a family thing. The options were pretty much endless. But it wasn't because of his looks. Casinoes were all about money. And one thing Alejandra knew a lot about was money. So he wasn't sharing her now, but he'd share later. Alejandra had several assets she could easily hold over his head in exchange for a few details.
"But naturally. My appearance has nothing compared to the Goddess in front of me. I had to wear sunglasses so I could bask in your beauty without going blind." Alejandra smiled as Caj's hand rested on her knee, the heat sliding up and down her leg. What was it about boys always having such warm skin? As was the usual situation, her leg felt a little colder when his hand returned to his own part of the table. "So, impressed?" Alejandra looked around the casino restaurant, musing. She looked back at Caj after a moment and shrugged a shoulder. “So far,” she laughed. “I've only see my room, the lobby and the restaurant. I've yet to see the actual casino.” It would be fun to see the casino, definitely. Alejandra wasn't quite the gambler Caj was, by any means, but she did enjoy numbers. And casinos, as we all know, involve money. Money and numbers were things Alejandra got. So maybe she could end up with a little extra cash.

Caj grinned. "You haven't seen the casino, yet? That's the best part of my little secret." He stretched his arms up and behind his head. His face was obviously amused while he grinned up at the ceiling. "I just figured you'd want a nice meal before you play. Can't quite concentrate on an empty stomach." His laugh resonated, while he shifted to lean forward again. This was going to be a fun night, he was sure. His golden eyes gleamed with all the excitement of a child during Christmas. This was going to be WAY too much fun. He knew everything about his casino and it was like his baby in a way. There was so much money invested into it and time spent trying to regain losses. Owning a casino was as much a challenge as playing in one. He was lucky he had a thing for Lady Luck.
"If you want to explore the most beautiful casino in the area, I can't blame you. Dinner can wait, if that's what you wish, M'lady." He winked at her. If she could even see it was a question he didn't know, but the aura of being around him was nothing but playful banter anyways. "Just be wary, Lady Luck has a thing or two for me. She might be jealous of you being here."

"You haven't seen the casino, yet? That's the best part of my little secret. I just figured you'd want a nice meal before you play. Can't quite concentrate on an empty stomach." Alejandra laughed, giving Caj a smooth, smoldering glance. “It's very important to have a full stomach. Need the energy for all sorts of games.” Sure, she was insinuating something. But Caj was the innuendo-king, so it was all for that she baited him just as must as he baited her. It just increased the sexual tension.
"If you want to explore the most beautiful casino in the area, I can't blame you. Dinner can wait, if that's what you wish, M'lady." She looked around the restaurant and gave Caj a smile. “I think we can manage a quick bite before hitting the floor.” Her stomach silently agreed as it rolled slightly. Food would be enjoyable, especially because Alejandra expected that it would be a long night.
“Just be wary, Lady Luck has a thing or two for me. She might be jealous of you being here." She laughed and she reached over the table to pull his sunglasses from his eyes. She liked his eyes; they were a really unique color. That and his bright pink hair. She slipped the sunglasses onto her head, causing some of her hair to pull back from her face. She gave him a wicked smile. “Lady Luck better watch out then. You're my date tonight.”

Re: Bet your boyfriend doesn't own a casino
“Lady Luck better watch out then. You're my date tonight.” Cajetan grinned ear to ear. Those were the sort of things he just LOVED to hear. Her hands moved to him and he closed his eyes a moment. The shades he had were then swiped and placed on her head. He didn't mind in the least. She looked good in them, POSSIBLY better than him. POSSIBLY. It wasn't LIKELY, but hey, Caj had damn good looks. He flashed his teeth with a smile, before he waved over a waiter. Two menus were distributed to them. It didn't take long for Caj to decide, but he waited on his date to decide. After he ordered a Long Island Iced Tea to wash all down, because he could and it felt good to flash his ID to the people who doubted he was old enough. Hell he could get hammered here if he wanted, but he didn't want to.
The dinner didn't really cost him a dollar, technically. He'd fish it out when he was counting numbers later that month, but otherwise it was essentially free. Once he was sure they were finished, he left a tip (just to be nice though it was kinda mocking since he paid them anyways) and grabbed his date gently by the waist. "So.." He started as he led her to the stairs and soon the doors to the casino. A foot pushed the door open and his eyes sparkled wildly with the flashing lights and colors. "What's you game, my dear lady? I'll show you how a real gambler works." He winked playfully at her, before he nipped her ear and nudged her forward.

Re: Bet your boyfriend doesn't own a casino
Dinner was a delicious affair. Alejandra had forgone her usual poison of choice, wine, for something a little more colorful. No, not Sex on the Beach. Perverts. She decided to get herself a Mai Tai. It was divine. The food was just as good as the drinks and it was eaten quickly enough. Before of them were eager to move to the casino and continue their evening. Caj graciously picked up the tab, although Alejandra wasn't sure it counted since he owned the place. But it was the thought that counted, right? Caj kept his arm looped around Alejandra's waist as they walked to the casino and Alejandra's arm did the same around Caj's. Her fingers rested gently on his side, her thumb under the tux of his jacket and tucked into the side of his pants.
"What's your game, my dear lady? I'll show you how a real gambler works." Alejandra didn't respond right away although she did lean in a little as he nipped at her ear. Wow. Alejandra had been to casinos before, but none that seemed to scream opulence. This didn't feel like the one you'd go to blow twenty bucks. This felt like a high-rollers casino where the players were good and the stakes were always high. She took a small breath, in and out. She glanced over at Caj and smiled at him. “Wow.” Her eyes scanned over the tables and slot machines, trying to decide where to start. “I don't really have a game. But we can start with roulette.”

“I don't really have a game. But we can start with roulette.”
Caj smirked his toothy grin while, guiding her slowly to a table. Roulette? He was okay with that. He knew every table inside out and upside down. She was guided to his favorite one. The dealer looked at him warily. Was it fear of the cardshark or awareness that his boss was leering at him? Caj wasn't sure, but he had to admit it was kind of funny to see his employee wiggle a bit. It had only taken a second for Caj to realize why the man was so twitchy. His eyes told of dealing with him later. One thing Caj couldn't handle, was people messing with his tables and his profits. Sure Caj could, but he was the BOSS, it was his JOB. they were supposed to just do as they were paid to.
Caj slipped behind Alejandra and kissed the back of her neck affectionately. His arms held her close and his chin nestled in the crook of her neck. His devilish smirk sat there with glint in his eyes. "Pick a number. Let's see how jealous Lady Luck gets today." He nipped at her ear as revenge for earlier.

"Pick a number. Let's see how jealous Lady Luck gets today." Someone was feeling awfully possessive tonight. Not that Alejandra minded. It was nice. Shifting her arms a little, she dug into her purse and pulled out two bills, totaling two hundred ways to win or lose it all. She slid the bills across the table to the dealer, smiling. “In fifties, please.” The man took the cash easily and traded her with eight chips. She toyed with the chips in her fingers, staying out of the first two spins of the roulette wheel. She watched the white ball bounce along, settling in to a little nook, promising losses for many of the gamblers at the table.
As the dealer called out for players to place their bets she picked up a chip between two fingers and placed it down. “Red 27,” she smiled, her body leaning just slightly back into Caj. “Always lucky to start with your age, right?” She released a small chuckle. She never really expected to win at the casinos, except maybe on the penny slots. It was fun though and best of all, she had a little money to burn. So why not lose it?

Re: Bet your boyfriend doesn't own a casino
There was something about alcohol and gambling that was nearly as addictive as sex. Caj could smell the various despairs and anxieties of the whole building. Each slight win or loss; he could hear his earnings, he could feel the casino in a way. He licked his lips again. He felt parched; like all thios excitement was dehydrating him, which of course meant he needed- more alcohol! Of course nothing heavy. He could hold his liquor, but most women didn't like the taste of alcohol when a man kissed them. He was nothing more than a gentleman who liked to have a little fun, after all. His eyes were aglow with his own enthusiasm. In fact he whistled loudly and waved a worker over.
"Aye. Grab me a nice tall drink or two. Make sure no one spikes the soda machine again, by the way." It had happened before, but it wasn't a commonplace thing. Just once in a while a jackass decided he could try and fuck with everyone. GOD Caj hated when that happened. He could take someone to court on it, because he knew damn well who it was, but it would look bad on the casino.
Glass reached his lips and he could only sigh in relief. "It gets hot as Hell in here with all these people sweating about money." How her game was going, Caj wasn't sure. He would have played, but he knew every game in the casino, so it was hardly fair. He also had an uncanny problem with tipping the scales and the last thing he wanted was to ruin a sweet deal with his bad habits. SO, he kept one hand on her waist and the other on his drink. "So. Let me know when you're ready for the next game, won't you?"

Re: Bet your boyfriend doesn't own a casino
Alejandra enjoyed a sip of Caj's drink watching as her first choice on roulette was a failure. She continued with roulette for a few more rounds, winning back a little of her money. Caj and her strolled through the casino for the next few hours, Caj standing and casually drinking while Alejandra played. After roulette she tried a little blackjack as well as some Texas Hold 'Em. She finished with a few rounds of slots before cashing out. She had broke more-or-less even, which was fine by her. Caj had disposed of his last drink and they made their way up to Alejandra's suite.
The suite was still as gorgeous as ever, but there had been a new addition. A bottle of chilled champagne sat on the small table, two glasses already full of the bubbly. Alejandra let out a bubbly laugh of her own. “Oh, you sly dog.” The two went to the table and enjoyed a glass of champagne, music being turned on to add to the mood. Alejandra felt herself growing slightly buzzed. Second glass of champagne empty, she pulled Caj into the bedroom and nudged him down onto the bed. As it was unseemly to straddle in a dress she settled for sitting sideways on his lap. Her arms snaked around his neck and she planted a sizzling kiss on his lips. “Now then. To the main event.”
