Lunch (Alejandra)
It had been a slow morning. Marcus dragged himself out of bed and got ready as usual. Peyton got up to make him some breakfast. Peyton figured that it was the least she could do. She'd get to go back to sleep later anyways. After he ate his breakfast she gave him a kiss goodbye... which turned into a five minute long make out session. After he finally left, she sighed a little. The house was quiet, which annoyed her. "Hnng, I hate when he has to leave for work." Peyton pouted a bit and went upstairs to go back to sleep.
Awhile later she had to get out of bed. Her stomach had been hurting a little. Mostly due to pregnancy junk and all that jazz. She was six months along to be exact. Peyton waddled down to the kitchen to get a light (heavy) snack. When she entered, Peyton saw a paper bag on the table... MARCUS' LUNCH! Darn it, how could he have forgotten it!? Usually she'd just shrug and eat it herself. Marcus would just buy his own. But she worked really hard on this one and left a cute note and everything!
"Hmpf, guess I'll just have to bring it to him." Peyton quickly changed into clothes, grabbed the lunch bag, and hopped into the car. Peyton started it up and drove to his workplace. "Hmm, maybe I'll go shopping after this too..." Peyton muttered to herself as she got out of the car. Peyton approached the building and opened the door, looking around. "Shit where's his office again?" Peyton sighed. This was going to be a difficult task indeed.
She gripped the lunch bag a bit tighter and started wandering around the building. She was getting a few stares of course, due to being an unknown pregnant woman who was just walking around like nobody's business.

Re: Lunch (Alejandra)
Work work work. All the day long. Heigh ho, heigh ho. On and on and on and on. It was a terribly good thing that Alejandra liked her job, otherwise she would be BORED.
Most people were not fond of numbers. Sure, they were fine occasionally, but all the time? Hell no. She was a select few of the number nerds. Which suited her just fine. She hadn't been at her job that long and already the Gelemortian budget was looking fantastic with wiggle room appearing in the future. But figuring out the budget was just part of her many duties, of course. And right now, she was currently handling one of the tougher ones.
...Okay, not really. Alejandra was roaming the halls, trailing the remote-controlled race car that was her favorite work-thinking-tool. When a calculation did not immediately come to mind, she grabbed at her remote and start buzzing down the halls, vrooming along with no care in the world. The Gelemortian government workers had gotten used to the Cerisian beauty doing the odd thing, so they just brushed it off.
Mumbling numbers to herself, Alejandra ran along after the small car. She was dressed in her usual work attire: black flats, wide-leg blank pants and a vibrant green-purple swirl blouse. She was content to roam the halls for the next hour when her car took a corner and she heard a small "oof" noise. Turning the corner she saw... a huge stomach. Her wides widened a little bit, wondering who she had hit. A pregnant person, by the looks of it. With a sparkly VISITOR badge. She gave the girl a lopsided grin, "Hi! Sorry. My car hit you. Are you lost?"

Re: Lunch (Alejandra)
Peyton was surprised to see a toy car whizzing down the halls. She raised an eyebrow as she watched a woman turn the corner chasing after it. What in the world was going on around here? Because the woman wasn't looking where she was going, she bumped into Peyton. Peyton made sure it hit her arm instead of her stomach. She wasn't interested in possibly injuring her unborn child today.
"Hi! Sorry. My car hit you. Are you lost?"
Yes. That was exactly her predicament. Thank god someone was here to help her, even if this person had just rammed into her. Peyton needed help, and she didn't care where it came from.
"Uh, yes I do actually. I'm uh looking for my boyfriend. He left his lunch at home so I stopped by to give it to him. His name is Marcus Degan, perhaps you know of him?"
Peyton just loved doing that. Of course she knew him, he was a general for God's sake. But it gave her the chance to brag a little. Peyton was very proud of the boyfriend she had obtained, and liked to flaunt it. He was her first boyfriend, and so far they were doing pretty great. They were living together, got along well, and in a few months they were having a baby. But, one thing that rather bugged Peyton was the fact that he had not proposed and never brought up the subject of marriage. But with the other women he had gotten pregnant, he proposed right on the spot. Was something going on that she didn't know about? Peyton quickly cleared herself of those thoughts. She was getting off track. Her boyfriend's lunch was top priority right now.
"I'm trying to find him so I can give him his lunch," Peyton said with a smile as she meekly held up the brown paper bag. "He left it at home."

"Uh, yes I do actually. I'm uh looking for my boyfriend. He left his lunch at home so I stopped by to give it to him. His name is Marcus Degan, perhaps you know of him?"
Alejandra blinked a couple times, before causing her car to reverse until it hit her in the feet. She turned the remote control off and scooped the car up into her arm, also turning it off. Saving battery life saved her money! Win. Back to the present, however. This pregnant chick, who still remained nameless, was Degan's GIRLFRIEND. WHAT??? Alejandra was definitely out of the loop and that was definitely not cool. She stood up a little straighter, frowning. “Of course I know of him. Hell, I know him.” She scowled. “I'm his BOSS.”
She let the stew for a minute before she laughed, a smile brightening up her face. “Just kidding! Degan and I are equals. I'm Alejandra and I've got some ridiculously long title I don't really remember. But as for finding your boy, I can kind of help with that.” She gestured at Peyton awkwardly with her elbow as she turned around to start walking again. “What's your name? We have to stop at my office first, but then we'll go find Degan.” She purposely walked a little slower than normal, so Peyton wouldn't feel very rushed as she waddled along down the hallway.

Re: Lunch (Alejandra)
Peyton sat there, confused. His boss? Peyton wasn't aware that Marcus even had a boss besides the king himself. Now they were just standing in awkward silence. This was.... uncomfortable to say the least.
“Just kidding! Degan and I are equals. I'm Alejandra and I've got some ridiculously long title I don't really remember. But as for finding your boy, I can kind of help with that.” She gestured at Peyton awkwardly with her elbow as she turned around to start walking again. “What's your name? We have to stop at my office first, but then we'll go find Degan.”
Of course, she had walked right into that one. Peyton had to facepalm. She was always getting fooled like that, just goes to show how naive she was. Peyton followed the woman named Alejandra with a small sigh. "My name is Peyton," she muttered a bit grumpily. She hated getting fooled like that, augh.
Nonetheless, Peyton continued following the woman. Bronze was going to eat this super cute lunch of love that she slaved over whether he liked it or not! And he better like it! A soft poking thumping feeling could be felt inside her tummy. Peyton put a hand to her bloated stomach for a moment. The baby was kicking. The baby that she and Marcus had made... Peyton smiled a bit and patted her belly, her mood instantly lifting. Peyton couldn't wait for her child to FINALLY be out of her stomach and in her arms instead. So she could love it and snuggle and cuddle it.
"So uh, how long have you and Marcus been working together?" Peyton asked as they walked.

Re: Lunch (Alejandra)
"So uh, how long have you and Marcus been working together?" Alejandra mused as she responded, "Not too long. I've only been working for the government for 5 months." Peyton, eh? Degan's girlfriend and baby mama? Why had he decided to neglect THAT information, she wondered. There would be major grilling later. But for the time being, they had arrived at Alejandra's office. She opened the door to her office. A big window was opposite the door, although the curtains were currently half closed. There was a large desk in front of the window and the tabletop was littered with papers. There was a chest of drawers against one wall and Alejandra headed there to place her car on top. On the other side of the room was a couple chairs and a big dry erase board.
Alejandra grabbed at a huge roll of bubble wrap that rested against the chest of drawers and went to her desk. She grabbed a post-it note and scribbled down "HEY. You never told me. Rude. -A" And stuck it to the roll. She looked up at Peyton and clicked her tongue. "Do you want to sit in my chair?" She gestured at the over-sized chair on wheels. "I could push you to the office. To keep you off your feet."

Re: Lunch (Alejandra)
"Uh, no I'm fine. I'd like to be on my feet." Peyton politely shook her head to reject Alejandra's offer. Her pale eyes danced around the room, looking at all the furniture and miscellaneous objects laying around. Not terribly messy. Her grip on the paper bag shifted a bit, causing a light crackling sound.
"Uh, is Marcus fun to work with?" Peyton mumbled. Everything felt quite awkward for her, and she was trying to clear that awkward air. God, why was meeting and talking to new people such a challenge!? And why did going out in public always involve it!? Well, Peyton knew she would just have to deal with it. That was life. Life sucks sometimes, but it can be okay too.
"I'd hope that he's a nice enough person to work with. You seem nice as well, so I'm sure you get along.." Peyton smiled awkwardly, trying to be polite and pleasant as best she could. She had to protect Marcus' image after all. If she was rude and grumpy (which she normally never is, but being pregnant and sore can do that to you) it might damage his image and possibly cause trouble at work. And that was no good.

"Uh, no I'm fine. I'd like to be on my feet." Alejandra shrugged her shoulders, her face a casual look of “okay, whatever.” She grabbed the roll of bubble wrap and tucked it under one arm. She gestured Peyton out of the door of her office and after both had vacated the room, she shut the door behind her.
"Uh, is Marcus fun to work with? I'd hope that he's a nice enough person to work with. You seem nice as well, so I'm sure you get along.." Alejandra looked over at Peyton, giving her a bright smile in return. Clearly the girl was uncomfortable. Searching for her boyfriend only to meet a coworker instead. Not exactly the most fun thing to do. BUT. In the category of people Peyton could run into, Alejandra was definitely a good choice. “He is a good coworker, yeah.” She walked slowly again, although they didn't have too far to go. The door that led into Marcus' office was just down the hall from her own. That door happened to be cracked open. Alejandra knew what that meant. It meant that he WAS here, but not HERE. She gave Peyton a slightly apologetic look as she opened the door. “He's not here, though he is in the building. Leaves the door cracked, so people can leave stuff on his desk,” she said by way of explanation. Alejandra had no problem sauntering through the office and dropped the bubble wrap on Marcus' chair. “Do you want to just leave it here? Or you're welcome to wait for him.”
