Smithy's walk
Tink... tink... tink... tink...
Down went the hammer and back up it came. Down again it went, and again it raised. once more it dropped and rose again. The hammer was set down, but the piece of metal it was working on was lifted. It was placed into water which momentarily steamed at the heated blade. Once the steaming ceased the unmistakable blade of a claymore was pulled out. Just finished. Well, almost. The client had asked for a sharpened claymore. It was to be finished in three days from this one.
The sword was carried by a young man with blond hair. Covering his black sleeveless shirt was a leather blacksmith's apron. One his eyes were goggles. He heard a ring in the front as a potential customer walked in. This man knew his assistant could help this person.
The young man, who's name I'll now reveal as Kryn, carried his work to the whetstond grinder on the other side of the room. It was a low tech grinder. Attached to the grinder was a little chair. On the side was a little foot pedal, which caused the large round wheel to spin.
A bit later, Kryn took the sharpened blade to another wall. This was a wall of unfinished work, which stood only one thing. Kryn felt like being outside.
"Mark! I'm taking a break now. I need you to place the hilt onto this claymore while I'm gone!"
From the front room, a young amestrian voice called back, "Aye, Kryn! I'll get to it a bit later!"
Kryn smiled. He walked to the goggle rack near the door and took his pair off. after placing the goggles in the rack, he untied his apron on switched it with his hoodie.
"Yes..." He said, tugging his arm into the sleeve. "Much better." He didn't like to go out unarmed, so he grabbed Best Work and stepped out into the front room of the building. Mark, Kryn's assistant, had sitting back. This was pretty much his job. Not many people wanted swords nowadays, at least not from this lowly store.
Kryn just casually jumped over the counter, completely ignoring the little opening two feet to his left.
"Gonna cause some trouble, Mr. boss soldier sir?"
Chuckling, Kryn replied, "Yup, loads of it. All over."
He slid Best Work into his belt before moving on towards the door. He opened it and walking into the sunlight of the afternoon. A deep breath. A look left and right.
To anyone else, this street looked bland and boring, but after being in that back room, standing over a forge all day, things like this can seem like the greatest of luxuries to some. Hammering metal all day proved to be more tiring than most would think.
Kryn went leftward. He was going to head down to a small bakery down the street. From there, he'd most likely walk around, shoving sugary goodies down his throat.

The smell of sweet and fresh pastries lingered in the air. The bakery. She loved going to bakeries. Everything was always tasty, and it smelled fantastic. Some of the goods in the little window they had was fun to look at as well.
Peyton peered at the many delicacies available at the bakery. Cakes, bread, doughnuts, the whole lot. Choosing was going to be hard, because everything looked so good. She bent over a little to get a closer look. Nobody else was really in the bakery, so she figured she wasn't holding up any line.
She was surprised it wasn't busy though. With the quality of the goods, one would think thay it'd be a busy little shop. But no, it was quite the ghost town today. Maybe she had come in a slow dow? She simply shrugged and continued her browsing.
"Hmm, that cake looks kind of good.." She thought aloud as she peered down at a chocolate cake.

Re: Smithy's walk
Kryn approached a bakery, and, as it would appear, someone had beaten him to it. He walked in just as the young woman spoke. He chuckled as he was hit with a delightful aroma of a bakery, "yes, girl, but so does that cake, that pie over there, the doughnut over there and that other pie there, that bread- I could go on."
He stepped closer to get a better look at the collection. He took a look at the cake in question. He took a look and said, "Though you may be right about that cake...." He had already decided what he was to purchase.
He said, "I'll let you keep the cake for yourself," he held out his hand as if to shake and said, "Kryn Cluskio's the name. I'm a blacksmith. I make jewelry too. Would you like to drop by sometime and buy something?" He thought this a good time as any to advertise a bit. He hope she wasn't getting the wrong idea, that he was just a flirtatious teenager. He's quite annoyed with getting this reaction when he tries to advertise his store. "I have one of my best pieces on my waste right now, if you wanna take a look," he said, moving his hoodie out of the way to reveal the sword in his belt.
