A Heated Pursuit Empty A Heated Pursuit

Post by Peyton Sun Nov 11, 2012 11:32 pm

It was cold, and rainy. Great. Not to mention her stump was aching like crazy. She really hated rainy days, they always messed up her day. Peyton was trying to get home and make supper, but she had trouble avoiding not tripping or slipping. She also had to limp because her stump hurt so bad. Curse this damned day, curse this damned rain. She sighed and flipped some of her wet hair that was matted against her face. She forgot an umbrella as well.

As she reached the end of a block and began crossing the street, sirens suddenly sounded. She stopped and looked around a bit, eyebrows furrowed with concern. She could see the flash of red and blue lights in the mist. Was it some sort of pursuit? Maybe they were rushing to an emergency? Peyton shrugged and continued walking. It was none of her business anyways. It wouldn't be affecting her anytime soon.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac Mon Nov 12, 2012 12:02 am

Silvac skidded to a halt and then ducked sideways into an alley as the police cruisers speed by, noticed him and proceeded to slam onto their breaks. The large chimerae started to sprint down the alleyway and decided to leap over a fence landing rather heavily on his feet creating a large WUMP sound. His purple hair flailed wildly as his hood slipped off of his horns and now was resting on his back. He rubbed one of his wrapped ears and started to run away from the closing cruisers, their sirens were practically making him wince as he ran. It was hard to concentrate too from all of the noise. He hopped a couple more fences the sirens sounding like they were still rather close, they must have some kind of camera or something to keep track of him. He started to back up out of the alley his ears now starting to get wet from the rain, he hadn't noticed that it had been raining... That was probably why he couldn't smell where he had been recently... or smell much around him. The stronger scents such as sewage and the near by garbage pails seemed to override everything and made the chimerae gag a bit. The chimerae shivered and slowly walked out of the alleyway after he was done backing up....

He almost didn't see the red haired woman in front of him and almost ran into her. He stopped suddenly and blinked a few times stared at her. She had the fullest red hair that Silvac had ever seen, it was amazingly long too from what he could see. He leaned in to sniff the woman gaining several different scents one of which being metal. Without much thought the chimerae shrugged and picked her up slinging her over his shoulder and starting off again. He couldn't tell if the woman was struggling or not but he could feel her weight on his left shoulder. His metal arm was surprisingly gentle at keeping her upon his shoulder, the other arm however was busy trying to open the door that refused to budge. Grunting the chimerae turned slightly and kicked the door with one of his legs causing the door to literally fly open. He glanced over to the side as he heard a click of a few firearms. The chimerae snorted as he heard these, the creature turned made a slashing gesture to his throat and looked at the woman. The police officers paled considerably as silvac slowly walked into the building.

After a moment he slammed the door shut and with the woman still on his shoulder slid a desk that was nearby in front of the door. He huffed and looked at the woman trying to smile casually. It was after working hours more or less so there wasn't anyone here from silvac could smell, all he could smell was leather and a lot of ink. He could almost smell something else but it was on the far side of the library, it wasn't worth thinking about right now either. He sighed a bit and patted the woman on the back still not bothering to put her down, he spoke very gently his voice cords rattling in his throat as it once again hadn't been used in almost a full month.

Don't worry... I'm not going to hurt you.... I just needed to get away from them.

His words caused his throat to seize a bit and he was forced to deposit the woman(gently) to the floor as a small bit of blood worked it's way from his underdeveloped vocal cords tore his throat a bit making the scarred tissue flare up painfully. He let a bit out and the wiped off his mouth gently his green eyes betraying his feelings about the moment. He was almost always on the run...

She could only let out a yelp as some sort of beast almost rammed her over. Before she knew it she was picked up like a rag doll and slung over it's shoulder. She flailed and struggled, trying to get away.

"Oh god, this thing is going to eat me!" She screamed in her brain as she was carried off into the library.

Peyton continued to struggle as she watched her captor slide a desk in front of the door. That was it, she was trapped! That desk weighed over two hundred pounds! No one could get in!

When it began to speak, she trembled with fear at the ungodly sound its voice made. She couldn't understand what it was trying to say either. Surprisingly enough, it had set her down onto the floor slowly and gently.

She scooted back a bit as it wiped some liquid from its mouth. By the color, she could tell it was blood. This frightened Peyton even more. Either it was sick, dying, or that was the remnants from its last meal! Her stump was on fire with white hot pain, it hurt so much she could barely stand. She didn't attempt though as she slowly continued to scoot back.

Post by Silvac Mon Nov 12, 2012 12:41 am

TRhe chimerae grunted as he felt a small goblet of blood work its way up... and then suddenly halt as his throat clenched forcing him to swallow the blood. He looked incredibly uncomfortable, tired and a bit irritated at the turn of events. Why would he even bother to take a normal being into this sort of thing? Now he'd really get in trouble if this one was important or something like that. Instead of talking again he looked around slowly standing up his eyes tracing the bookshelves. He was in a library, it reminded him of home... more than he really wanted to remember about it but it was definately a good memory compared to alot of the things that had happened to him. Other than meeting a few people and making very very few friends. He blinked and looked at the woman his face changing from the passive one to a worried one. He gently moved towards her even though she was scooting away. He lowered his ears and glanced about a few times before offering his hand to help the woman up. He felt stupid for dragging her into his issues....

There wasn't much he could do about the fact that she wouldn't trust him or even bother to take anything he said for granted. That is if she could even understand him, alot of people wherever he went didn't seem to speak Cretan or Lohkyn... in fact he was lucky he understood another language too... From what he remembered from the locals they spoke another language, it sounded very similar to what sal and sec used to communicate to one another too. The chimerae flicked his ears backwards so that he could hear away from where they were, you never know what could possibly sneak up onto you at this time of night.

She quivered a bit as it walked closer to her, scooting back again. She didn't want to die. She had things she still wanted to do! She shrunk back as its beastly hand reached down. That was it! She was toast! She squeezed her eyes shut, preparing herself for intense pain.

But, there was nothing. Nothing at all. She hesitantly opened one eye and saw that the arm was outstretched in front of her, hand open. She opened the other eye and looked up at his face. There wasn't a murderous or ravenous look in them at all... but rather, a kind and worried expression. She was a bit taken aback. What was this creature trying to do? Why had it taken her into the library?

Peyton eyed it warily before slowly accepting the hand. It had a rough and coarse texture to it. As she was slowly helped to her feet, she let out a wince and crumpled back to the ground. The pain was too much, if she stood on her automail leg she was sure it would start to bleed.

Post by Silvac Mon Nov 12, 2012 1:27 am

Silvac gently accepted her hand and just as gently tried to help her stand, the woman instead of standing on her own crumpled the pain very obvious on her face. The large chimerae winced a bit when he saw her expression, he hoped it wasn't from.... That's when he noticed her automail leg; or at least mostly an automail leg. Silvac looked at his own automail appendage and blinked very slowly his limb moving slightly as if noticing that it was gaining it's owner's attention. The chimerae stooped down and gave the woman a bit of a re assuring pat before lifting her gently with one arm and setting her on his right shoulder, he looked up at her and smiled gently. He took one of her hands and placed it on one of his horns so she could balance a bit better when sitting upon his right shoulder. His ear flicked about a bit as he began to walk slowly so not to disrupt her balance.

The chimerae reached up to one of the books, the leather smelled old and it seemed to have dust on it. Tsking gently the chimerae had a momentary flash of memory of hm dusting off books back when he was still a librarian when he was in Creta. Shaking off the memory the chimerae brushed off the book with his automail hand causing a bit of said dust to float down from where it was perched and land on the floor. He slowly started to walk down the rows his eyes scanning the books looking for anything that might peak an interest for either of the two people here. The chimerae paused when he saw a rather cozy looking book. It was written in some language that didn't look like anything he would of ever known. He picked the book off the shelf the bindings of the book fitting snugly in his hand. He stared at the book and handed it to the woman. He had a gut feeling that this book would help and he was all about gut feelings in his life.

She jumped a bit as she felt the beast touch her and suddenly scoop her up. She was sat on its shoulders and was guided by its hand to hold onto the horn. She did so and looked around as it walked over to the book shelf and pulled out a book. The dust made her sneeze a bit and she waved her pale hand if front of her face, hopping to fan some of the dust away.

She noticed something being shoved into her view. It was an old, beat up book. The beast was trying to give it to her. She accepted it and carefully skimmed through the yellowed pages.

"Oh, this is a Cretan to Amestrian dictionary..." Suddenly something clicked in her mind and she began to skim through the book a little faster.

She went from page to page, searching for the translations of certain words. She continued this for a few minutes, never stopping.

She took a deep breath, and looked the beast into its frightening green eyes. "You speak Cretan?" She asked in pretty terrible Cretan. She couldn't pronounce the words quite right and didn't understand the sentence structure.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac Mon Nov 12, 2012 1:53 am

Silvac twitched his ears and then smiled gently as he heard cretan come from the womans mouth, it must of been a translation book that he had handed her. He Felt a little smile as he gave his instincts a pat on the head; the smile was off of his lips a moment later as he heard something off in the distance. Sounded like far off sirens... really far off sirens. The chimerae huffed a bit as he felt the woman's hand on his horn a little more acutely as he moved his head so that he could look up at her once more. He nodded softly his eyes closing a bit but not all the way; he couldn't help but express the feeling of how surprised he was or how lucky he was at this moment in time. The chimerae pursed his lips in a very human fashion before gently wrapping his arm about her legs so that when he walked she wouldn't Fall even though she was holding his horn too. The chimerae stopped when he got to the front desk memories swarming him about this sort of place, he couldn't help but let out a bit of a sigh that spoke more than his words ever could. Reflecting for a moment he looked very gently into the woman's eyes.

Yes. My name is Silvac... Silvac Skallagrim. May I have your name?

Silvac felt his vocal cords buck and twist as the pain came back, he fought against the sensation and ultimately at this point won against it. He wasn't about to have his luck change just because his vocal cords decided to play with him. His eyes showed how much pain he was in at the moment but it seemed like the creature could wipe away that pain to move foreward... To what he was moving to was anyone's guess.

She looked back into his eyes as he spoke with that strangled voice of his. She carefully listened to his words and scanned the book a bit. Eventually she had found the word she was looking for. It meant name in Amestrian. She quickly caught on and translated.

"Name is Peyton Powers," She replied in that broken Cretan again.

She noticed the pain in his eyes and found herself feeling concerned for the creature. She gripped his horn a little harder as she looked him up and down, wondering what could be causing him such intense discomfort. Did the police shoot him? Was he sick?

"Are you okay?" She asked in Amestrian, although he probably couldn't understand it. She sighed in frustration and started to scan through the book again. It was a bit annoying to translate everything she needed to say. But it had to be done she figured.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac Mon Nov 12, 2012 2:58 am

Silvac blinked a few times at her introduction before nodding a little bit, he expected this for some reason. It was common for people reading things out of books to pick up the little things. The chimerae let a small smile before starting to move behind the desk, he shivered as he felt her tighten her grip on his horn. He usually didn't feel people touch him on his horns so he didn't know the sensation too terribly well. It was kind of strange to be honest. The chimerae blinked again as he heard her say something else, there was an undertone of worry from them and he just shrugged a bit. He made a bit of an exasperated face before pointing to his throat. He made talking movements with his hand and then mimicked throwing up; he hoped that conveyed the message. The chimerae didn't really speak unless he felt like he should, if he talked way too much he'd have an episode like pride where he lost alot of blood and more than likely scarred his vocal cords. It was amazing how much information he retained from his previous life about the... body? He really couldn't say human since he doubted anyone would ever confuse his form for human.

Pleased to meet you Peyton.... I'm sorry for... bringing you into this.

This time his vocal cords seemed to make a snapping sound when his last word came out. The chimerae physically flinched and quickly picked up Peyton off of his shoulder. He'd make a rather ludicrous face before setting her on a chair; he'd then glance around before going over to the large trash can. He'd pick off the trash lid and put his head above the top of the trash can. Luckily for Silvac the trash was taken out already so there was no horrid smell. This made the next thing easy as he felt his body buck and a large fountain of blood rushed from his mouth into the trash bin. He gripped the side of the trash can so hard that he literally crushed the metal down a little. After his little epidemic was over the chimerae sat heavily against the desk that encircled the both of them. The chimerae looked exhausted and by the heavy breathing the retching of the blood did not in any form look pleasant. He still managed to smile at Peyton trying to keep a rather.... cheerful showing.

She watched in horror as he wretched blood. He was definitely very sick. She reached into one of the drawers of the desk and pulled out a first aid kit. She sifted through it until she found an ibuprofen. This would ease his pain a little.

She scooted over to him and handed him the pills, feeling bad because she had no water to give the poor creature. As he swallowed the pills she flipped through the book, looking for words to form her sentence that she needed to say. It took her awhile and she had to write them down, but she did it.

"We go to my home," She informed in broken Cretan.

She patted his arm and pointed out a nearby window, at an apartment complex not so far from the library. It was a bit shady looking, but not too bad. It was shelter where she could help the creature and help her leg. Even though it had plucked her off the streets, she felt that it didn't have bad intentions. The police must have scared the poor thing half to death and it was just trying to protect itself.

"We go, now."

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac Mon Nov 12, 2012 3:56 am

Silvac let out a small sigh and let a breath rattle in his throat, how he cursed the alchemists that did this to him. He winced a bit as he swallowed, it was obvious that he had hurt something or maybe even made it so he couldn't talk anymore.... Either or this would be very detrimental when he would have to talk to someone. Not that he wanted to talk half the time anyways since most of the time he was alone. He accepted the pills graciously from Peyton swallowing them without water was easier than anticipated since his throat was still slick with blood. He grunted softly as he felt the pills take effect, it wasn't instant but he could feel a bit of a dull on the pain that was attributed to his throat. He'd huff gently and slowly stand up his hands clenching hard on the desk. Not hard enough to leave a dent or anything but more than enough for him to pull himself up with ease. His ears twitched back and forth as though listening.... The sirens from before were completely gone, the scent of the men he had kept track of were gone and only peyton was within smelling range. He picked up a few other scents from here, there was quite a diversity and silvac shuddered to think of what would of happened if all of them were here when he had to break in.

He tilted his head and stared at the paper that Peyton was writing down on, after she was done and had spoken not once but twice he picked it up. These words looked familiar... but... he couldn't place it exactly. He blinked a few times and gently set the piece of paper down before rubbing the back of his head, he felt for the hood and then blinked a bit when he felt it touch his hand. Giving it a tug he flipped it over the top of his head making it so that his horns and ears slid through with ease but left his head and a bit of his face obscured a little. By no means was this an attempt at disguise but it certainly made him look a bit more mysterious. He nodded and looked out the window staring at the apartment complex she pointed at. He furrowed his brow and then perked up a bit; a home? A place where he could feasibly hide? This felt like aiko's house all over again but a little different. She wasn't surprised when he was in the city, in fact she had been more than happy to help him. Silvac felt a smile crack across his face and he gave peyton a reassuring pat on the shoulder before picking her up.

Instead of putting her on his shoulder like before he simple carried her with both of her arms, her legs sitting comfortably over his right arm while his automail provided the rest of her body with better support. This left her arms to grasp on wherever she saw fit, silvac glanced around and slowly walked over to the desk. He stuck his ear to the door and sniffed softly. He didn't smell the doughnuts that the police reeked of when he was running from them. The chimerae booted the desk to the side so that it slide comfortably back into place. He then used his tail to open the door before peeking his head out; instead of greeted by clicking or anything of the like it was the incredibly heavy patter of rain. It wasn't just raining now... It was practically running a river from the heavens. The chimerae Kept his head over Peyton keeping her somewhat dry, he hunched his shoulders as he walked and even used his tail as a make shift umbrella.

It took silvac and peyton a couple long minutes in the rain to get to the compelx she had pointed to. Silvac was practically born to be in the water or around it so it didn't bother him but he was rather worried for peyton. The way she scooted around earlier must of meant something was wrong. His eyes flicked gently as some forms that seemed to follow them. When they came into the light they appeared to be thugs; instead of running away they seemed to of want what silvac probably was carrying figuring that the person probably had easy loot. When the first man approached them with a large knife silvac went defensive almost instantly. His tail now whiping around in an arc and slamming into the man's body. A whooshing sound came from him as his ribcage was crushed and he was flung not only into his friends but sending the entire group of the four of them flying backwards. The chimerae stomped on the ground and then leaned forward a evil sounding hiss emanating from his lips.

This would of been quite effective... if any of the men that he had flung were moving. The man that silvac had hit with his tail lay with his neck at a twisted angle while the others seemed absolutely dazed by the fact they were practically launched back about seven feet from where they were standing. The chimerae huffed and continued on his way getting under the little overhang that protected their owners from the wear and tear of the world's skies.....

Post by Peyton Mon Nov 12, 2012 4:19 am

She watched, terrified as each of the men were swatted back like flies. She stared down at them as they lay there unmoving. She shook as memories from her past began flashing through her mind. The day that had changed everything. The memories were so vivid, she could almost feel the hot air and the flames licking at her skin. She squeezed her eyes shut as she shrunk back, hugging herself a bit. She tried so desperately to make the images go away.

She made herself focus on other things. The sound of the heavy rain hitting the roofs and the pavement. The drum of the thunder. The pain in her stump. Yes, the pain. It was more intense then it had been in a long time. If she even felt it shift she knew she would cry out. The images weren't helping the pain either. Since, the memories brought her back to the day she lost her leg. Peyton wasn't sure what was worse, the pain she felt now or the day they sawed her leg off. Oh, but they were a close match.

She started breathing a bit faster and quickly patted the creature's shoulder. She pointed to a window on her apartment complex. "There ,"She said in Cretan. At least she remembered that word.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac Mon Nov 12, 2012 11:07 am

Silvac glanced back at the men and felt a snort of derision work it's way from his body, sometimes the stupiity of some people.... The chimerae looked down at Peyton as she seemed to space for a few moments. The chimerae glanced about checking behind him again as he was pretty sure that they may still have people that wished them ill around. He blinked when he felt her tap him, diverting his attention to her he followed her finger and saw the window that she had pointed to. The chimerae nodded solftly and with his tail opened the door to the apartment building which surprisingly wasn't locked. He ascended a few flights of stairs hoping that he hadn't gone too far. He trusted his gut feeling and opened a door that counted as an inner door. The chimerae glanced about the hall thinking he may of had the wrong one or something but hey if he was close it was better than nothing. He looked at peyton and nosed her forehead as though asking a question. The chimerae at this junction couldn't really talk otherwise he'd have another fit or something and that was something he'd rather avoid.

The chimerae slowly started to walk down the hall his eyes glancing at the doors on either side. He waited for the woman to tell him to stop or gesture or something, he wasn't even sure if he was on the right floor. He felt in his gut he was but his mind said something about "luck and such" before anything. He shuddered a bit when his vocal cords twinged and then started to lean heavily against the wall, the blood loss was starting to take it's toll and if he didn't rest he was likely to pass out. Which would be bad specially if he was on the wrong floor.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Peyton Mon Nov 12, 2012 9:40 pm

"308" She muttered as the creature walked down the hall.

It was strange, this thing had the intelligence ability of human and did look a bit humanoid. But, its looks and strength were far from it. What exactly was it? Was it some sort of, chimera? No, impossible. Chimeras never had this level of understanding and intelligence. They always turned out pretty messed up in the head. Of course, she didn't know this from experience. She never dared to step a toe in that field of alchemy. It just seemed wrong to her. The experience must also be terribly painful for the animals subjected to these experiments. Their very souls were being fused together to the core.

She noticed the creature leaning against the wall and taking deeper breaths. It was obviously fatigued and in pain. She needed to take care of that quick.

"Hey it's one more door down, can you make it?" She asked him quietly and in that soothing way she used when she was worried for friends or family. Her worry made her forget that he couldn't understand her. After realizing this, she pointed to the door to show that was it. She started to dig out her key from her pocket as they slowly got closer.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac Mon Nov 12, 2012 10:11 pm

Silvac's ears twitched as he heard peyton speak again, it was in her language so he had no clue what she was saying. He grunted and slowly pried himself off of the wall his body exhausted from his travels and from the earlier incident. He staggered a couple of steps and gazed gently at where she had pointed more words coming into existence from the woman's lips. He huffed softly and continued to the doorway she had pointed to; it had the number 308 on it, silvac didn't recognize this lettering at all and he cursed inwardly at his inability to read any written lettering. It was a curse from the alchemy that had made him. Among other things his mind may be questionable but his physical prowess was not and for that he was thankful. The chimerae let out a marvelous growl that rolled off the tongue and seemed to emanate from it's chest more than it's throat. With a grunt he took the key from Peyton and with a gentle touch that was surprising for one of his size and strength slid the key in and opened the door. He gently opened said door and slid in slowly his nose flaring as he sniffed the place trying to get a hold of all of it's scents for a quick moment.

The chimerae slowly closed the door behind them with his tail and handed the key back to Peyton before setting her down on the couch. He sat heavily in a chair across from her his hands holding his head trying to make sense of what he had done to get this woman mixed up in his problems. He was lucky that the police had backed off but for how long? How long would it be before they tracked him... How long before he was taken and tortured again. He felt his eyes dialate a bit as he felt the hot blades they used... He shook his head suddenly and looked up at Peyton a rather tired smile emerging on his lips.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Peyton Mon Nov 12, 2012 11:55 pm

She watched the creature questioningly as it sat slumped in her chair. It looked as if it was deep in thought, making it seem all the more human. It was frightening how human-like it was. What if it was a chimera, but with an ingredient in the mix that was forbidden. What if... this beast was once a man? The very thought shook her to the bone. She would have to save her question for later though, the chimera needed help.

She stood, wincing a bit and leaning on the couch as she made her way over to the kitchen area. She put her weight on the counter as she drug through the messy drawers. After a bit of digging she pulled out a towel and more pain pills. She ran the towel under warm water and then poured some water in a glass. After popping in a few pain pills for herself, she slowly made her way back to the creature.

She handed it the pills and water and waited for it to swallow both down. As it finished she motioned for it to lie down as she placed the warm towel against its throat.

"This should help a bit with the pain," She whispered softly as she set the cloth carefully.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac Tue Nov 13, 2012 12:40 am

Silvac rubbed his temples gently and felt a few memories shift through his mind causing a scene like this to be brought up to his mind. His father sitting where he was and his mother sitting in the kitchen talking to him about something. Silvac smacked his head and bared his fangs for a moment the memories fading quickly, his past was not something he wished to remember nor was it something that even mattered to him right now. Other memories from things that were not him tried to crop up too but he refused to even pay them any heed. He felt a few tears slide down his face and he almost felt himself slip away from fatigue, those pills from earlier too had already run their course leaving him rather tired. It was amazing how fast they went through his body, he turned to see where peyton had gone only to see her come out of the kitchen area. Another memory tried to surface but he ignored it his hands shaking a bit as he took both water and pills from peyton. His mind raced trying to tell him that it was poison or that it would kill him or something of the like; he ignored all his mind's worries and went with his gut once more. If this woman wanted him dead she would of struggled and kicked and made it generally unpleasant for silvac to do anything at all.

He gently put the pills in his mouth and swallowed them with the use of water; he shivered a bit and looked at his clothing. His shirt and overcoat was soaking wet but his pants were surprisingly dry, they were a bit damp at the top of them but that mattered little to silvac. He gently tugged his coat off the hood making a wet smacking sound as it hit his back one last time. His shirt was the same and silvac took that off as well. His skin was somewhat wet but he didn't mind that he just hated damp clothing. He sighed gently and then blinked a few times as Peyton gestured for him to lay down, silvac deposited his two clothing articles over the side of the couch before doing so. His body shook gently and he let out a bit of a surprised merf as he felt the towel touch his throat. It felt really good on his throat, he let his head hng back and just closed his eyes a bit the exhausted chimerae almost passing out. He refrained from letting himself drift off though. To peyton's view she could see that there were scars of all shapes and sizes criss crossing his chest and arm, there was quite a few that crossed over to his good arm as well. One large trio went from one shoulder all the way across his chest to the hip and looked particularly bad. Everything was healed yes but from the deep cuts it was obvious that it must of been painful.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

She looked over his body in surprise. This poor creature had been through more then she had thought. The scars were large and nasty. They must have caused him some intense pain when they were fresh. She noticed how cold and wet he looked, so she plucked a warm blanket that was folded up on the top of the couch. She unfolded it and with a little flick it spread out over him in the air and slowly settled down upon him.

She grabbed the dictionary and flipped through it a bit, looking for another word. After she finally found it, she leaned a bit closer and told him in Cretan, "Rest."

She dimmed the lights and peeked out the curtain. No one had caught onto their location so far. She'd have to stay up and keep watch, but she didn't mind. She stayed up all night a lot anyways. It was a bad habit of hers and often made her cranky, but frankly she didn't give a rat's ass.

She then left the room and went into her bedroom, where she began stripping off her wet clothes. It took her a bit since they stuck to her skin and the underwear was proving to be a most difficult task.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac Tue Nov 13, 2012 1:07 am

Silvac looked over his cursed body for a moment before glancing over at peyton for a long minute. He huffed gently and smiled softly his automail arm reaching out and rubbing the top of her head gently. The chimerae returned his arm to the resting position when she went to go get something, he felt his eyes close softly and he snapped them back open when he felt something get put onto him. He glanced down to see a blanket over him folded rather neatly at the top, he smiled gently and laid his head back his eyes closing again this time for what seemed to be for until he was disturbed next. A whole skew of what if's blazed through his tired mind, what if something happened to peyton and he was captured again? What if the police found them... A lot of these scenarios played through his head but he dismissed every single one of them. The chimerae shivered a bit and shifted a little his body desperately needing rest. He felt his ear rub against his clothing that he had lain on the couch. Not wishing to have his ear against something wet the chimerae shifted again this time the other way. He let out a bit of a sigh as he felt the ear touch the couch.

His tail was the only thing other than his shoulders and head that didn't poke out of the blanket. It gently swished back and forth lazily; he felt the desire to fall asleep and that's what he did. It was a dreamless sleep for the most part and it felt incredibly heavy. The chimerae could feel himself floating, to where he may ask? No where since he was fairly sure nothing would happen while he slept. It didn't matter anyways since any true man would let another man sleep.... He hoped that peyton was okay too, she was a very nice woman from allowing him into her home.....

On the outside silvac appeared incredibly comfortable and very very adsorbed in sleeping. His tail had stopped it's movements but underneath his eyelids his eyes seemed to move, a sign of intense dreaming. Yet the chimerae did not dream anyways, none would know that since he would never share that information. The chimerae was obviously resting easy and was not taking this for granted in the least bit. Silvac would stir if peyton(or anyone for that matter) would come along. His over all demeanor would change completely as though he was very well rested even though it was obvious he was still incredibly tired.

The task of undressing took awhile, but she got it done. Peyton then proceeded to dig out new pajamas. After dressing herself in warm flannel pajamas, Peyton walked back out to the living room. Her leg was feeling much better now that she was dry and warm. She yawned a bit and stretched. She had to stay awake though, she couldn't fall asleep. If she did the consequences may indeed be dire. It could cost the creature its life. So if she must stay awake, she would.

She pondered for a bit on what she could do to keep awake. A book would just make her sleepy, as would music. She glanced over at her TV. That would probably work, hopefully it didn't keep the creature/maybe a chimera awake. She started to creep towards the remote, but suddenly she felt something hard hit against her legs. She glanced down and saw she had knocked into her guest's tail.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac Tue Nov 13, 2012 1:42 am

Silvac was resting peacefully when peyton came into the room, he didn't move at all when she yawned and pondered as to what to do. In fact he didn't move even when she was rather close to him. What set off the chimerae's defensive mechinisms was the sudden bump to the tail. Without even thinking he sat up grabbed whatever had bumped his tail and immediately bear hugged it. It took him a few moments to realize he had grabbed Peyton, it was a slow realization. In fact he was unbelieving that he had so roughly grabbed his host. He was about to let go when he saw it, an alchemy circle. His eyes widened and his eyes darted over to peyton who by the looks of it was quite surprised at the sudden bear hug. Silvac didn't push peyton off of him, he simply let her go and flipped over the couch his hand grabbing for one of his enormous blades his eyes wide at seeing the circle. Almost immediately the sword was up in a defensive stance and his back against the wall. His knees were shaking, his arms were tense and his ears were shifting back and forth so quickly it looked like he was trying to listen to anything. There were cars far away that mattered not to him, there were no sirens and no inexplicable feeling of dread creeping up on him. His breaths came out ragged and the huge sword slammed onto the ground as he backed away further from the book and peyton. He was obviously panicked by the sight of a circle that brought the memories flashing back like they just happened.

The chimerae huddled in the kitchen area his ears flat against the back of his head, his tail was wrapped around his legs and he kept his eyes staring at peyton. They flicked to the book and he could feel the fear of something terrible about to happen, if she was to do something further to him... He may not be able to get back to how he was before. In fact he may never be able to do anything about anything ever again if his mental state degraded further. A low growl could be heard from silvac; it was plainly obvious he was distressed and he wanted nothing more than just to get away from this book whatever it was.

"Ack!" She yelped as she was suddenly grabbed.

Her worry lessened when she found she was just being held. But as soon as she was grabbed, she was let go and her odd guest rolled over the couch. She stumbled back and turned around to see what all the fuss was about. Her eyes widened and she gasped as she saw a huge sword drawn. The creature looked frightened and ready to attack. She looked around to see what could have frightened him so much.

There she spotted it, the alchemy text she had been reading the other night. The fact that it had frightened him was proof enough he was some creature created by alchemy. The fact that he used to be human was still another mystery to be solved.

"I-it's just alchemy don't be scared!"She picked up the book and shut it, gently setting it aside. She fumbled for the dictionary searching for the words.

"My Alchemy good, I show you," She said in a calming but still frightened voice in her broken Cretan.

A Heated Pursuit Empty Re: A Heated Pursuit

Post by Silvac Tue Nov 13, 2012 2:09 am

Silvac was frightened, hell he was off his rocker afraid of what potentially diabolical things could happen to him. He had heard of strange things being made of creatures with automail parts already attached to him. He didn't want that, in fact he wanted so less to do with that he would do his best to avoid it completely. The chimerae didn't want to be turned into a even more powerful killing machine, in fact he wanted the opposite of that he just wanted to be human again. If that was even possible but with alchemy anything was possible... Right? The chimerae slowly raised it's ears at hearing her speak once in amestrian and then in her broken cretan. The chimerae felt his memory spike and he let out a gag and stood up. He didn't slouch or even flinch from the sudden movement, it was painful because his throat was still sore. His eyes flashed darkly and you could see that there was an intelligence behind those might green orbs. The chimerae gently picked up a pen from the nearest drawer and upon a napkin he gently drew a circle. He drew four other circles as well, three of them forming a triangle overall and the last being in the direct center of the biggest circle.

Without hesitation he slapped it down on the table(which shook a bit from the force but didn't break) in front of peyton and eyed the crude drawing with an rather afraid eye as though something was going to happen. He scrunched his brows together and sat down on the chair that sat near the couch his eyes never leaving peyton. He thought for a moment and then sighed gently before speaking. These six words held so much meaning within them, in fact you could almost say that these six words... was his life. There was no pain for some reason and he was surprised at this.

How can I trust an alchemist?

She was still sitting there in shock as the creature picked up a napkin and pen. She was very confused by his actions. She watched intently as he drew the circles. What on earth was he doing. She jumped a bit as the napkin was slammed down on the table, half expecting the creature to strike her. She glanced down at the napkin, and saw a very crude alchemy circle. It was a pretty basic circle, but she could tell it was for biological alchemy. Had this been the very circle that had created him? No wonder he was so messed up.

He spoke in that foreign language again and she skimmed through the book to translate it. After figuring out the jist of it, she only needed to look up one word.

"Friend." She set the book down on the table and slowly held up her hand, offering a handshake.
