DEscriptION:
→ Has long black hair tied with a red ribbon, save for some bangs that is left untied. Eye color is brown but in some lights are seen as red. Always wears a black and red Cheongsam that is modified to look something akin to goth fashion. The outfit is in 2 pieces, the top and skirt. Has a thing for leather boots but surprises most people because of the height of the shoes (the highest being 5 inches). Sometimes seen wearing a nurse uniform.
Meiren is quiet soft spoken but always maintains a cheerful aura, making at least anyone smile. Her tone of voice is described as "cute without being overbearing" but sometimes can be way too loud or talk too fast when she is excited. Other than that, people find her fun to talk to. Meiren goes out of her way to help someone in need, but that doesn't mean she'll accept any sob story. With her grace and kind manners, she lets others know quietly that while she may be soft, she is not to be taken lightly.

PERSONALITY:
→ Feisty, compassionate, warm, and friendly is words to describe Meiren as a whole. Despite Meiren's compassionate personality, she is actually an incredibly brave person. Proof of this is the outstanding fact that, despite being born into the imperial family and her father being the Xingese Emperor, she is not spoiled and is in fact greatly concerned by the situation of the world. Meiren even goes as far as helping many refugees who had lost their homes during times of war and hard times, giving them shelter and hope and in doing so she, abandoned her privileged lifestyle and everything she once knew.
Meiren is of a friendly disposition and always tries to maintain her calm. Due to her quiet assertiveness, stoic nature and restraint, very few people take the trouble to view her as the young woman she still is and so, forced to mull over her thoughts and worries alone, and kept at a distance from her friends and comrades. It’s apparent that she would love to develop a more personal relationship with the people around her yet; she is hesitant to make a bold move and maintains her usual role instead. Meiren takes it upon herself to look after everyone, which explains why she feels she should not let the others know how she really feels.
Has an obsession with cute things and stuffed animals. The slender girl is quite agile and known for her talent to find her way out of a tight spot. Though bubbly, she is not rebellious and carries out orders in her characteristically friendly manner. She never backs down from a challenge, even if she does not always think it all the way through. Meiren might look cutesy, people should be careful not to anger her, as she becomes quite scary when angered.

HISTORY:
→ Meiren is the 9th royal princess of Xing, born to the Xingese Emperor and the royal concubine representing the Yu house. Meiren never met her father personally, only in event and ceremonies and her mother commited suicide out of depression as the court was harsh on her but rumors of the Yu concubine being assassinated haunted Meiren and became one of the reasons she wanted out of the court and to become a nurse. The luxury and splendor of the Xingese court did not appeal Meiren whatsoever and the constant strife, compitition and intruigue scared her, the greed of many people such as her compititive siblings, decitful concubines and corrupt officials greatly disgusted her. Hating to have to constantly impress her father and sleep with one eye open, for the fear of assassination and poison, decided to travel to help people who had lost homes, family, friends and dreams, wanting to build a world that her father, with all his wealth and power, could not.
Another reason being that Meiren fell in love with one of many general's in the army but when Meiren confessed her love for him, he could not return her feelings as she was a princess and he was a mere soilder and he wanted to remain as master and subordinate. Meiren fell in love with him because of his kindness and his vow to protect her from the darkness of the court and her rivals, which ultimately made Meiren fall in love with him. A little before she left to travel, Meiren found out that her general had married into a woman of minor nobility. This broke her heart but yet gave them her blessing as she cannot afford to think about her heartache forever and remained good friends with her general and his wife, a friendship that had lasted for a long time.
Meiren was offered bodygaurds to accompany her on the journey but refused, saying she does not want to come back as a weak young girl but as a strong woman who can face the shadows of the court. Meiren started to help her people in Xing first, building makeshift hospitals, provide food and medicine to the poor and helping around with the orphanages. Eventually she traveled around the countries such as Aerugo, Creta and currently, Amestris. She has hopes to later travel in Drachma, even though she heard the weather was unforgivable.
When she arrived at Amestris, Meiren was amazed that the country had so many oppotunities medically, since she cannot perform Alkahestry, and decided to study Amestrian medicine techniques whilst still helping out the poor and orphaned children in via homeless facilities. Since she had no source of income, as she had survived on food given to her, and refused to have money sent to her as she did not want the support of her father or clan, Meiren decided to work as a nurse stationed in Amestris..
