Das AMESTRIAN Militär
So. You're interested in joining one of the greatest military forces in the known world? Do you really think you're up to the challenge?
I am Hans Reinhardt, Chancellor of Amestris and your boss. The likelihood of you getting direct orders from me, however, is slim. I've got a fine band of generals who can take care of that for me. But first, let's cover the basics.
Amestris' force is spread out around military bases, set up in the five major cities of the country: Central, South, North, West and East. Due to money and pure force of members, East HQ and West HQ are currently shutdown. We're hoping to see an influx of military recruits, so these bases can reopen. In the meantime, you can work at Central HQ, North HQ (lovingly referred to as “Fort Briggs”) and South HQ.
Commander of Fort Briggs: AVAILABLE POSITION
The commander of Fort Briggs is only answerable to the Chancellor. She holds the northern border of Amestris and protects it against our enemies. She is in charge of maintaining the fitness of the soldiers there, as well as the upkeep of the base and equipment. A soldier can apply for this position, but the Chancellor must officially (IC) accept them.
Second in Command: AVAILABLE POSITION
The second-in-command is answerable only to the commander and the Chancellor. They are responsible in assisting the commander in running the base and will step in as leading commander in the Commander's temporary absence. A soldier can apply for this position, but the Chancellor must officially (IC) accept them.
Head of Arms Development: AVAILABLE POSITION
The head of Arms Development is a unique position in the Amestrian military. They are only on equal standing with the other three unique “head” positions in the military. They are above the remaining “head” positions but below the Chancellor, commanders and second-in-commands of the various bases. They are in charge of developing new weapons and ways to combat enemies. They are stationed full-time at Fort Briggs but supply these weapons designs to the entire military.
Head of Alchemic Advancement: AVAILABLE POSITION
The head of Alchemic Advancement is a unique position in the Amestrian military. They are only on equal standing with the other three unique “head” positions in the military. They are above the remaining “head” positions but below the Chancellor, commanders and second-in-commands of the various bases. They handle the State Alchemist program for the entire country, as well as increasing awareness about alchemy within the military. The head also works with the head of Arms Development to incorporate alchemy into weapon designs. They are stationed full-time at Fort Briggs, but conduct weekly meetings with the Chancellor, as well as traveling as necessary for the State Alchemist program and other responsibilities. A soldier can apply for this position, but the Chancellor must officially (IC) accept them.

You're welcome to apply, Dawsic, once you reach level two and have the appropriate number of points. At the meantime, do you wish to join the military as a soldier/alchehmist? You'd be most welcomed.

Applying for soldier with my newest character. Also, question. Can you rank up at all? Or challenge a higher-up for power?

Re: Das AMESTRIAN Militär
You'll need to choose one of the available HQs and you can be posted once your character is accepted.
Rank-ups are given when you level up. You can start as a level one in a titled position, as long as it is empty. Considering the variety of open positions available, I typically don't sanction challenges for spots. That would have to be something discussed with the other person as a possible IC plot point. PM me with any more questions related to Amestris.
