NAME:
→ Hihuaya (means “a form of punishment” in Quechua)

FORM:
→ Wooden longbow with wooden, feather-flighted arrows.

BRIEFING:
→ The longbow is made of dark wood, from a tree found on her first hunt. Engraved along the staff is the symbols of her tribe, forest green leaves and crimson circles. The staff has two notches on either end, where the bowstring rests. It is a waxy, woven string that Nayeli painstakingly wove herself over many days. After the wood had seasoned she bent the supple wood, securely looping the string to create her bow. The quiver for her arrows is made from the same material as the clothing her tribe wears. It has been bound many times over to form a secure quiver for her many arrows. Her arrows are made of a variety of wood, yet all are straight and true. Each tip is sharpened to a deadly point, many of them tipped with a stone arrowhead. The arrows are fletched with colorful feathers, taken from the many birds of the jungle.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
→ Nayeli is extremely skilled with the bow, but sometimes her shots require a little extra punch. That is why she has green-feathered arrows are tipped with the poison of frogs. They are black and red spotted frogs, some of the deadliest on Panei. She collects the frogs in the jungle and then Ayelen extracts the poison and puts it into a glass bottle. Nayeli will then coat her arrowheads in the poison, keeping them in a separate portion of her quiver in order for the other arrows to not contaminate. The poison is paralyzing and if shot with too many arrows, a person could potentially die.
