DESCRIPTION:
→ In the cool haven of shade cast by an old and sturdy oak, which claimed the top of a verdant green hill, there were two figures, each resting contentedly in the shelter of the shade. Both wore robes of pallid ivory and subdued violet and silk azure, which drape unfettered down to the ankles of their brown leather boots.

One figure is an aged man dressed in a long-sleeved under shirt that mimics a classic monk's robe that is a dark taupe colour, the bottom of which hanging down to mid-calf. Over this he has a white robe more akin to a deacon's with wide bell sleeves and a high collar; the sleeves and bottom of the robe are embroidered in dark blue, and trimmed with tan and gray accents, and hang over his inner-robe.
Over his shoulders is a high-collared mantle that is the same dark taupe and embroidered in light gold. He doesn't seem keen on accessories and keeps it to a black sash around his waist and a leather bag that hangs at his hip.
His face is hollow and gaunt, and his hair short and silver with age. His features are as stern and stoic as can be. His eyes are sharp eyes are coloured dark, and his gaze remains consistently impassive. But his wide jaw and shapely chin hint that he was once a handsome man in his youth. But now his skin is weathered and his eyes slightly sunken with his growing age. His wrinkles are few but still present. He’s a tall man, which is apparent even when sitting still beneath the oak tree at his back. His limbs are long and so is his body, yet lanky would hardly be a good term to describe his body type. For a man his age, as well as a priest, his body is built rather well, like a man who actively trains himself daily. His chest and abdomen are fairly wide, and his muscles are well toned, though evidently past their prime. The aura emitted by this man is one of serious and stoic nature, as well as growing weariness in age.

The other person, sitting next to the first, has a long-sleeved cream-coloured under robe that is fully closed like a long tunic and hangs to just above his ankles. Over it is a teal robe that rests at his mid-calf and has two long slits up the sides up to his hips. It's tight around the chest with a high collar, and at the shoulders the sleeves have a leg of mutton poof that are then tight until they bell out at the 3/4 length.
Resting over his shoulders and covering the mutton sleeves is a short capelet of the same teal that makes up the high collar. There's a simple cream-coloured embroidery around the bell of the sleeves and above the hemlines of the tunic, and around his waist is a plain cream sash that matches the under-robe.
But what is most particular about this robed figure is not his clothing, but his physical appearance. For he does not look like a ‘he’ at all. Rather, the visage of the younger man is unmistakably that of a young woman. His face is milky white and his features are as soft as silk. His deep azure eyes are wide and their innocent beauty is prominent. His long locks of hair are bright blonde-gold, and nigh glow with the radiance of the sun itself when bathed in light. Unlike the man at his side, this one’s bearing was filled with youthful splendor and innocence. Whereas a permanent near-scowl was engraved into the face of the silver haired man, in stark contrast was the faint smile upon the soft lips of the younger womanly one.
The younger man’s body too, betrayed his actual gender. With his frame and waist slim, and his hips rather ample, it would be imaginable for quite a few bachelors to have fallen for his beauty and comely appearance. The slender and dainty hands of the effeminate young monk held a weathered old book with a wordless brick red hard cover. His glimmering blue eyes dance across the pages with intrigue and contentment, whilst the older man’s motionless gaze extended blankly into the distant township, far past the rolling hills before them.
“Lucienne...”, spoke the grey-haired man at last, his dark coloured eye still focused on the unseen horizon. Yet he did not speak. Instead, his hands moved in quick flurry of motions, which caught the attention of the younger person.
“Sì, papà?”, replied Lucienne, in softý spoken and tender words, so light and elegant that they only served to further cement his mistaken identity as a woman. His attention quickly left the pages of his thick book and turned instead unto the older man; His eyes filled with the utmost respect and adoration for him.
“Please, do not call me that. My name is Virgilio” responded the man named Virgilio, though no hint of offense shined through his gaze, nor his silent hand motions.
“I am sorry pap-, Virgilio. But you have always been a father to me. I cannot think of you as anything else” remarked Lucienne, visibly resigned in his struggle of how to address his caretaker, which had been ongoing since he was just a child.
“The Falzone Mafioso managed to drive out the rest of the Dominion troops stationed in Roma. The Church is going to call us back to Sanctus Gloria shortly.” The priestly man grasped an ornate silver cross which hung from his neck by a simple necklace. On it there was, inscribed in thin, decorative, curved writing, a single sentence: “Deus misereátur”
“Its been a long time since we’ve been in La Cerise....but to return under such circumstances...” whispered Lucienne, his voice lined with worry,
Virgilio placed a large, worn hand on Luciennes shoulder, and a tacit understanding was shared between the two.

PERSONALITY:
Virgilio is best described as a stoic and serious man. Though his vow of silence is hardly his own choice, many believe that if he could speak, Virgilio would choose to remain mostly silent anyway. Despite his outwardly stiff and somber appearance, Virgilio is actually a very kind and caring man. For much of his life he has spent time assisting impoverished peopled in foreign countries or domestic ghettos through the Church. Despite being a priest, he places helping others above his religion. He would rather give food than bibles, offer shelter rather than salvation, when choosing between on or the other. It is not to say that he does not believe in God and the teachings of Jesus or the prophet Cael, rather, it is that he believes that salvation comes not through conversion, but rather, caring for one another and giving to those in need. He is a senior within the Church, but has broken the rules of Church several times before, placing his personal morality before the morality of the Church. Lucienne, his adopted son, is one such person he is willing to disobey the Church for. This is perhaps his greatest personal strength, as well as his greatest weakness. His creed to help those in need gives him the resolve to carry out his duties, yet it is that same factor that can cause him to disobey them depending on circumstance.
Virgilio is an intelligent man who makes realistic decisions. This trait is what makes him such a prized agent of the Church. Even while under pressure, Virgilio can face danger and fear with calm clarity. But his choices are made with emotional influence, rather than being neutral and unswayed by personal feelings. His emotions do not cloud his judgements, however. Instead, they act as his source of resolve and certainty. Virgilio is the type of man who makes the best decision with his heart, and does so without impulse, hesitation, or regret. He is an exemplar of patience, diligence, humility, and subtle kindness among those of the Church. He has affected the lives of more people than he will admit to himself or anyone.
It goes without saying that Virgilio is a withdrawn person. Despite all his kindness and duty towards helping others, he isn’t one to say much or even smile often. Some argue that being mute would naturally make him this way around people, but those who know him know that he is the type of man to sit back and observe, only acting when he feels that he should.
The silent priest has a set of specific skills and talents that most might not expect of a holy man. Being an agent of Cael Crucem, a classified intelligence and assassination cell created by the Church to protect the Dominion’s interests at home and abroad, Virgilio is trained in quite a few aspects of undercover operation and espionage. Most notable of these skills would be his ability with a firearm. Virgilio’s weapons of choice are a pair of handguns he keeps concealed beneath his robes. He’s an excellent shot and fires well under pressure, and has earned renown for being one of the agency’s finest combat agents. Other related skills include his ability with close quarters combat, both with bare hands and with a small knife which he also conceals. He is skilled in espionage, able to infiltrate locations sufficiently and either collect information, acquire target items, or assassinate enemies of the Church. He also possesses capability in interrogation, torture resistance, counterintelligence, and quick evaluation of information. But Virgilio is growing older, and is well past his prime. While still a valuable asset to the Church, his age has begun to slow him down, and proves to be the greatest physical weakness of the once great agent.
While not a terribly harsh critic of himsel, Virgilio has never been one to sing praise of his own feats. He never really talks to anyone about himself or his past. Lucienne understands there is a great deal of unspoken pain and sorrow beneath his cold, stone features, but the man has never admitted it.
Virgilio was never married in his life. He never had any true loves, nor has he had any of his own children. Flirting is something one cannot even begin to associate with the serious priest, so many assume that he will go all of this life without having a significant other.
Most people perceive Virgilio to be a cold and grimly solemn. Even the children he helps during Church volunteer missions to impoverished regions seem cautious about the tall and grim silver haired man. Even among his peers in the Church and Cael Crucem, his legacy as a lethal agent eclipses his years of work as a humanitarian. Almost all that meet Virgilio view him with uncertainty and suspicion due to the somber demeanor he always carries. Yet, Virgilio continues to help those who make need it, even if he does not receive thanks, and even if their view of him does not change. Lucienne is perhaps the only person that does not think this way of Virgilio. The young adoptive son of the silent priest thinks of his father as a kind and thoughtful man with a warm heart more everlasting than even his permanent scowl. To Lucienne, Virgilio is his father, his family, his mentor, and his greatest friend. And to Virgilio, Lucienne is his precious son, whether he admits to it or not, and for him, he would defy even God.

→ Jesus and Cael

...........................................................................

HISTORY:
→ Three paragraphs minimum of your character's background. Be sure to include how your character became a ALCHEMIST etc. Try to steer clear of extreme drama and trauma. It is WAY too popular and rarely played out well. Once in a while, I'll accept a well written tragedy, but most of the time... no. Characters don't need horrific histories in order to be interesting. Keep the child abuse, rape, family deaths, etc out of here. They get old fast. Must be at least 450 words.

...........................................................................

TRIVIA:
He used to smoke and drink, but he quit long ago

→ Be sure to add what language they speak in the color they speak it in and to also list that as part of your signature.

...........................................................................

ALIAS:
→ Your online alias. Just put down ONE name, please, and use this name in the c-box so there's no confusion over who you are.

OTHER CHARACTERS:
→ Who else do you play? If this is your first character, say so.

CREATOR'S COMMENTS:
→ Do you have anything to say yourself? As long as it doesn't sound stupid, you can put anything in here really. Just no autobiographies about your last journey to the toilet, please, because seriously, NO ONE CARES.

FACE CLAIM:[*code]SERIES/ARTIST/character[/code*] (Take out the * and this message)

CUSTOM RANK:
→ Insert the customized rank name that you wish for your character here. It can be anything within reason. If you are claiming a canon character (like Head of Central Head Quarters for example) usually 'Head of Central HQ' would be your custom rank. This would replace where is says: 'PENDING'.

OFFICIAL TITLE:
→ Insert your official Alchemist's title here - such as 'Full Metal' or 'Flame' - you do not need to be a State Alchemist to have this title, this is more for instant recognition of abilities, and the like. Also a chance for you to get creative! If you don't create one for yourself, we'll do it for you and believe me, we can come up with some awesome titles... Be sure not to put 'alchemist' or 'alkahestrist' after your title because some people are both and honestly it's too much.
