Nocturne: Truth and Fate [Open] Empty Nocturne: Truth and Fate [Open]

Post by Guest Mon Sep 03, 2012 6:56 pm

CRASH! The fist which had collided with her stomach sent her flying out the wall of the building, one that was certainly dilapidated and weak enough to be destroyed by the body of a human flying into it. A silver-haired woman was seen rolling through the dust, easily dropped backwards by the attack of the man standing in the building, grinning widely as he did so. "SO, THIS WAS THE ASSASSIN THAT THE COSCA FALZONE SENT AFTER ME?!" The grin on this man's face didn't fade as he stepped through the wreckage, pushing loosened pieces of wood out of the way with his large hands. Shaggy black hair fell around his large face, the eyes of the man wild with the glee and power that came with dominating your opponent so quickly in a fight. She had come at him out of nowhere, wielding some strange blade. It had been easy enough for him to grab the arm of that silver-haired vixen, move her into a better position and blast her with a singular punch through the wall. She should've known better than to underestimate him--he'd probably broken this new toy already. Women were like toys to him, one would be better off just playing with it until it broke than actually bothering trying to take care of it. There were as many women as toys on this planet, so who cared? He certainly didn't. However, this woman would probably not get onto her knees without a little breaking in. The grin which hadn't faded would grow even wider as he reached up to the broken wall, ripping off a singular piece of wood and holding it as he would a club. Fino Cagelli took a few steps forwards as the dust cleared, waiting to see the state of his new toy. The grin didn't even have a chance to fade. Two sharp pains in the backs of his knees caused his legs to buckle as he fell; first forwards, and then backwards, his gaze in the sky as a metallic shape came down. He didn't even see it coming, nor did he hear the words from her mouth as she dropped the hammer.

---

"Augh!" Launched backwards through the wooden barrier, Bice felt it crumble beneath her back with a sharp intake of breath. She hit the ground sliding, rolling as the dust cloud rose up around her body. Words in Cerisian came from behind the wall, though her own breathing muffled a lot of what he had to say: "SO...ASSIN THAT...CA FALZO...FTER ME?!" Groaning to herself as she attempted to clamber back to her feet, Bice lambasted herself mentally for her utter stupidity in her previous attack. She'd expected him to be off-guard, so when she leaped out of the shadows, Decarabia quickly flipped out and at the ready, he'd managed to catch her off-guard. Her arm had been gripped and she'd been hit with a powerful fist, sent into (and through) the wall that she didn't realize was so flimsy at the time. Her target was large, so such strength was to be expected, though she'd assumed that he'd gone soft. Such assumptions were more than likely to cause her to lose her life next time. The silver-haired woman watched quietly through the dust as he rambled through. There was this thing... uhm... right. She knew that he couldn't see her--she could barely see through the dust cloud itself, a cloud which spread itself far out to the sides, obscuring her flanks. Perfect.

Pushing out to her left, she would suddenly break into a low and silent run, trying to get around him and out of his line of sight. Easily doing so, she managed to get herself behind him--he was so immersed in the fact that he thought that she was broken up on the ground, that when he saw that she was absent from her place upon that earth, well. A sharp grin arrived on Bice's face as two long knives were quickly drawn from her left calf. She called these ones Zepar and Vepar--they were a pair of stilettos, and their target was the inner area behind the knees of this man. The pain and sharp attack in his nervous area would quickly cause him to topple backwards, just in time for this woman to move her hand into her coat and slip it into the shape of her most prized weapon--Gaap. A glove that fit perfectly within her fingers, her hand was raised into the air and brought downwards. Normally, this would just resound with the noise of a punch smacking into bone. However, she had brass knuckles for that job. Instead, the sound of a shotgun blast going off escaped into the peaceful town as blood sprayed upwards from his fa... uhm... "face", or at least what remained of it that wasn't simply a bloody pulp. From how she'd hit him, it was unlikely that he'd be able to be identified by dental records either. Growling, the woman turned away, reaching up a sleeve and wiping some of the blood off of her cheek with a harsh scowl. "Fucker. Go suck a cock in Hell." Her gait carried her away from him, Bice Derocha leaving a corpse with a nicely-eviscerated face for the police to find, returning the glove to its rightful place. Her weapons had already been collected. There would be no traces of her even being nearby--she'd left no blood, nor had she left any evidence of her being there. Adding that to the time taken to identify the body? It would be a long time before anyone even considered the Family. Closing her eyes, Bice Derocha turned a corner and casually walked towards the nearest public bathroom in order to clean off the... well, the blood. She carried stain remover for moments just like this.

A few minutes later and she was already clean and unarmed enough to present herself in public. Deciding that she needed a drink, her footsteps would carry her carefully and calmly to the closest bar. There was no need to panic, no need to rush, no need to appear like you needed to get away from anything. Weapons had been stashed in a bag with other odds and ends that would easily keep them hidden. It was unlikely that they'd look for a murderer in a place like this--judging from the state of the body, wouldn't it be better to look for someone who'd be high-tailing it out of there? Who knew? Bice knew, however, that she was safe. It had happened time and time again.

Nocturne: Truth and Fate [Open] Empty Re: Nocturne: Truth and Fate [Open]

Messy, Messy, messy. Thats all assassination tended to be in the end. Just a shit ton of work for hardly any return but the family had an image to maintain, and if someone crossed them well they just had to be taken care of, often in the most painful way possible. That was just the nature of their business, and it was that business that found Dimitri in the gods forsaken town of Youswell. The place was just a little hell hole filled to the brim with what could only be called moles. Hell even the children seemed dirty to him and as he walked those dusty dingy streets he couldn't help but find something else that reminded him of hell. The smell that clung to the place was a result of the mining operation that the town was oh so famous for. The fact that they where famous though didn't make the smokey air anymore appealing, at least not to him who was used to the fresh clean breezes of La Cerisé. God he hated this city. But most of all he hated the fact that he had to be there, a man had insulted a branch of the family so he had to be taken care of, but the person who had went after the sorry bastard wasn't known for her calm head. So he had been sent after to handle any sort of fall out that may or may not be needed. Marco hadn't risen so high by letting things like this go to chance.

So fallowing closely on Bice's heels Dimitri had arrived in Amestris and beat feet to where he was currently standing. IT had been a long, long flight and an even longer drive or so it seemed to him and he just wasn't in the mood to go searching for a woman who may or may not welcome his presence,at least not right then. "I know what i need, and i need it fast or heads are going to roll.." He looked around the square he stood in and glanced at the signs that hung about the various buildings and sighed. Language barriers, oh how the Elf just loved dealing with that! He reached into the pocket of his dark grey travel coat and pulled out his Cerisian to Amestrian pocket dictionary and started flipping threw the pages."Bag... Banister...BAR!" He found it after a few seconds of hunting and a smile crossed his face, he was about to wet his whistle!! Now that just sounded amazing!! His mood steadily brightening at the prospect of booze he went off in search of said beverage.

Now in a town filled with miners it was only natural that the place also had more bars then was absolutely necessary. So many in fact that Dimitri just couldn't make up his mind. Jet lag combined with an overly long drive had sapped most of his will power and most of his mind. "Third Bar on the left..." Yes he would grab a drink at the third bar on the left! It was random, it was a gamble and it met took the choosing away from him which was the most important part right then. "One..." The first establishment he passed almost made him loose the will power to go on, but he fought through the temptations and held his unknown destination firmly in mind. Two..." His black leather shoes had gathered enough dust that Dimitri could almost not stand to look at them. He turned a corner at random and nearly laugh out loud as the third pub of the night showed up!! With a silent joy the normally stoic man almost ran into the door in his haste to get inside.

Quickly he spotted the bartender and hurried over, pulled out his dictionary and sat down browsing it. "lager bitte" He knew his accent was horrible, but the man who took his simple order just nodded and moved off to fill a glass from one of a multitude of taps. A it was brought to he smiled and took one long pull before sighing in contentment. The day had suddenly just gotten much much better... But soon he would have t track down Bice, but he would worry about that after a drink or two. For now he was just a man who loved to drink, and that was a bond that one just didn't fuck with.

Nocturne: Truth and Fate [Open] Empty Re: Nocturne: Truth and Fate [Open]

Groaning as she pushed her way through the door into the bar, Bice found herself quietly rubbing her head with the back of her right hand, as if it was itching somewhat. That was never good--there was something iffy about all of this, and she should probably leave right about now. However, need for drink got the better of her, and she took a step through into the room, looking in amongst the chattering people for someone who could possibly be waiting to spring out from the shadows. However, what caught her eye was not the people that could be waiting in the shadows, but the man who was sitting very calmly at the bar, in plain sigh. Now, she wasn't one to care, but normally Bice would've turned away as it were. However, we've already said that there's a thirst that needs to be quenched, and as it stood, she was too lazy to care right now. Instead, she'd just stand there for a second and stare at the back of the man in black. "lager bitte" God, that accent was disgusting. Sighing quietly, she took a few steps into the bar, holding tightly onto the bag in her left hand and making sure that her clothing was completely clean.

Now, as easily as Bice got pissed off and liked to piss other people off, there were a few people that you didn't piss off, especially if you could help it. At the top, there were obviously the Don and the Madrina. Hah, you didn't even want to consider the possibility of getting them angry. One day you're relaxing in the comfort of your own home, then the next, you wake up at the bottom of the ocean, sleepin' with the fishies. Or in a Chicago Overcoat, just whittlin' away the hours until you finally collapsed and suffocated. Next down the list was the Capobastone, that damn Santy. Oh, she had no beef with him, nothing at all. But there were people that invoked the Don's wrath, greater than the Don himself. This kid... you even think about touching him in a bad way, and you will wish you'd never been given fingers. Next was the Omicida. Cold-Blooded Murderer. Anyone think that what Bice just did was a bit sickening? Well, she ain't got nothin' on Vecchi. 'Course, most of the killin' in Roma is done by her hand or an extension of such, but there are times when the Don sends this guy straight in. S'afuckin' mess to clean up, I'll tell you what. And finally... "Oh, fuck me," There was this guy that was sitting right in front of her now, his back to her and probably a bit more focussed on the drink that had just been handed to him. Sitting down on the seat right next to him, she casually waved over the bartender.

"Oi, 'keep. Quarter Measure of Gin, the rest in Cola, on Ice, stir it well. And put one'o'those... uh... little umbrella thingies... whatever you call'em on it. Haven't 'ad one of those in a while." She tossed a menial amount of Cenz onto the bar, and the Bartender went off to do whatever the fuck he was gonna do. Now, as for the fucker next to her, this was Dimitri Amato. Sure, the name sounded Drachman, but he was completely Cerisian, as far as she knew. When you fucked with the other two, you got whacked. This guy was the third of the Don's most trusted Lieutenants, and he was the slimiest fucker of'em all. The Capobastone could lead. The Omicida could kill. The Consigliere? He could fucking talk. Any situation with this bastard could be resolved with words, not guns. And don't get me wrong, Bice admired that. She was into the whole "Diplomacy" thing, just as much as the next guy. But seriously, there were too many times that she'd seen this fucker squeeze himself out of a closed room and leave the room shut for good. Fucked if she knew how he could do it. "Y'er accent still fuckin' sucks. What good is a talker if he can't even talk the language o'dis place. Most widely-spoken language in the world, far as I can tell." Finally making herself known, she turned her gaze towards him with a slight scowl. She didn't try to look angry all the time, it just happened generally. Came wit'da personality.

"Look, Amato, I don't need you babysittin' me. I got into a bit of a hitch, sure. Bastard managed to get in a lucky punch, and I tell you what, he was a big fucker," She laughed casually at this, "But I recovered easily enough. Made a bit of a mess, but nothin' to lead th'cops back to us. And 'sides. Even if there is, we got our sweet-lips o'er here to talk 'em out of it, don't we?" She winked and nudged his side with her elbow, laughing quietly. A drink was slid in front of her face, and she smirked. Little umbrella and everything. She didn't like the girly drinks, but there was something about a small umbrella in her drinks that she liked. Maybe it was just a casual thing. Who the fuck knew? Taking a long sip from the tall glass, she returned her gaze to Dimitri, with a slightly perturbed expression. Was she really so much of a loose cannon that she needed a babysitter? Come on.

Nocturne: Truth and Fate [Open] Empty Re: Nocturne: Truth and Fate [Open]

Dimitri was surprised at the quality of the brew he had just had the pleasure of sampling. It was bitter yet sweet, it lingered on the tongue yet it didn't out stay its welcome and whats more it was cold and refreshing and brought with it a sense of peace that was the trade mark of all good beers. He had always heard that Amestrian beer was some of if not the best in the world, but tell right then, that vary second he had had no idea how true that had been. Had he been truly alive tell this moment? Maybe, maybe not but for now that didn't matter for he had lost him self in a frothy, tasty, full bodied heaven. It was absolutely glorious!! Now if he could somehow get his hands on how to make that fine draft well he would be rolling in the money, at least more so then he already was. "Oi, 'keep. Quarter Measure of Gin, the rest in Cola, on Ice, stir it well. And put one'o'those... uh... little umbrella thingies... whatever you call'em on it. Haven't 'ad one of those in a while." Yes, if he could just buy the rights... He blinked a more then familiar voice breaking through his happy musings. Was that... Could it be? He glanced over at the person he had hardly noticed sit down.

"Well ill be damned..." IT seemed that his quarry had found its way to him, it was almost like the gods had shown mercy on him though with his luck the woman would be in a foul mood and ready for some sort of brawl. He hoped if it came to that, that she would in fact go easy on him, the Elf held no delusions about what would happen if she meant him harm and managed to get her hands on him. His pretty face would no longer be so pretty. "Y'er accent still fuckin' sucks. What good is a talker if he can't even talk the language o'dis place. Most widely-spoken language in the world, far as I can tell." That scowl... The set of her jaw... It almost screamed " IM GONNA GET YA!". But if a life time infront of juries had taught him anything it was to keep a calm head, and to never NEVER let anyone ever see you sweat. So he smiled at her scowl and took off his hat before speaking. "Meh i know a few people that speak every language well enough for me to get by, they just happen to be leafy and green."

"Look, Amato, I don't need you babysittin' me. I got into a bit of a hitch, sure. Bastard managed to get in a lucky punch, and I tell you what, he was a big fucker," She laughed then, and on most people that would make them look happy, and hell even Bice looked happy though her happy was more of a Im gonna stab you" sorta a happy as far as Dimitri was concerned, though that might just have been the jet lag talking. "But I recovered easily enough. Made a bit of a mess, but nothin' to lead th'cops back to us. And 'sides. Even if there is, we got our sweet-lips o'er here to talk 'em out of it, don't we?" With another light laugh, a nudge and a wink Dimitri let his guard slide ever so slightly. If she was playing around and joking he wasn't gonna have to high tail it outta there. "Babysitter? Naw, but you do need some clean up everyonce in a while ya know? So i come out take care of anything messy that go's on ya know the normal." He takes another drink from his glass and sets it on the bar infront of him. " I do the same for the Omicida every once in a while, we cant have any of our family get'in into trouble ya know?" It was almost a fucking honor, but he didn't voice that thought.

Dimitri chuckles a little bit and shakes his head just a fraction. Though i have yet to have to deal with any back lash from Massino and i doubt your a sloppy one so its usually a wasted trip for me, but better safe then sorry. Though i do have to say im glad i found my way to this little mining town, i think ive fallen in love or lust at least."" He picks up his pounder glass and takes a long pull from it before sighing in contentment." If there's one thing Amestris does well, its beer i gotta say."

Nocturne: Truth and Fate [Open] Empty Re: Nocturne: Truth and Fate [Open]

He seemed to notice her, which was certainly a good thing, if ya thought about it. Sighing quietly to herself, Bice took a few slow sips from her drink in front of her, closing her silvery eyes slightly whenever she did so; as not to rush things with such a simple drink. She spoke a few things, nudged him a little, and it gave cause to appear that his guard had been let down a bit more. That was... fuckin' good. She didn't like it when people like this had their guard up around her all the time. Sure, she was a bit scary and a definite spitfire, but her aggressiveness was just natural to her. Why would people be so worried about bringing forth her wrath? "Babysitter? Naw, but you do need some clean up everyonce in a while ya know? So i come out take care of anything messy that go's on ya know the normal." Oh, so that's how it was. He came here to clean up her mess. "So, ya ain't a babysitter, but a janitor. Shit, Falzone's really doin' ya a numb'r. Not that I mean anythin' bad about the Don." She had to make sure that she put that at the end of her statement--she'd been hushed a few times for badmouthing ol' Marco, even if it was just a casual passing statement that she may have used for any other person at any other time.

"I do the same for the Omicida every once in a while, we cant have any of our family get'in into trouble ya know?" She grinned and chuckled, shaking her head slowly with an expression of amusement in her eyes. "Almost an honor, wouldn't you think?" Spoken with a surprising calmness, Bice would then hurriedly take another couple of swigs of her drink, downing it in less than five seconds--with a couple of milliseconds to spare. The glass was slid towards the bartender, with Bice raising a hand a putting a few coins on the table. "I'll go one of the same, but with a bit of ice this time. And a finger of bourbon to add in there." As the bartender went off to pour her drink, the woman's eyes flickered back to Amato. So, he was here to clean up whatever mess she'd left, eh? She could go with that, sure. As long as no shit came about from it, it'd be fine. She'd left no evidence of her being there--there wouldn't even be an expending shotgun casing nearby--the only way you could find the casing would be to find the glove that the casing was still in.

"Though i have yet to have to deal with any back lash from Massino and i doubt your a sloppy one so its usually a wasted trip for me, but better safe then sorry." Fair enough, she surmised. If anything, it was better that he was here and unneeded than not here and needed. If she turned the chessboard around and looked at it from his angle, the only wasted trip would be a trip where he came, did abso-fucking-lutely nothing, and then left with nothing to show for his being here. Each of his moves were pretty clear, to be quite honest. Sighing and showing a more sincere and kind smile, Bice closed her eyes as she heard the glass slide in front of her face. She reached out with a practised hand and picked up the glass with long and well-manicured fingers, wrapping them around the cool material and raising it up to her lips without missing a single beat or dropping a single drop. Cool liquid slid down her throat, and she could only chuckle at the taste. Both Gin and Bourbon were rather harsh liquors, that tended to burn the throat of whomever was drinking them--they were rarely good without a mixer. Cola, for example. After draughting about a quarter of the drink, she opened her eyes and looked over at Dimitri.

"If there's one thing Amestris does well, its beer i gotta say." "Eh, if ya say so, I guess. Th'country's nice enough, but I don't think I could go even a few months in a landlocked place. 'Specially one as big as this. I mean, it ain't anywhere near as big as fuckin' Gelemorte, though I suppose that the shit'ole is all o' Terra Major, ain't it." She laughed casually and leaned her head back, looking up at the ceiling. Her face broke out slightly, into a bit of a wider grin. This place was amusing to her--a small, quiet mining town. Apparently, the last bit of real excitement they'd had was when the FullMetal Alchemist was in town, all those years ago--about a hundred-odd years now, wouldn'tcha think? Turning her head towards Amato, she gave a grin that certainly looked more or less bloodthirsty--just a natural look. "Well, there ain't a mess to clean up anyway. We might wanna get the fuck outta 'ere before the cops start looking, though. Or 'is buddies--whichever comes first." She laughed at this, almost challenging his associates to burst through that door.

"Eh, if ya say so, I guess. Th'country's nice enough, but I don't think I could go even a few months in a landlocked place. 'Specially one as big as this. I mean, it ain't anywhere near as big as fuckin' Gelemorte, though I suppose that the shit'ole is all o' Terra Major, ain't it." Some people just couldn't understand the finer things in life, and it seemed that Bice was one of those people. Though he couldn't be sure about her taste in anything since she did date his nephew for half a year. He wasn't sure how she had put up with Cajs rather interesting attitudes and behaviors, but she had and Caj still wouldn't shut up about "hitting that". Though he could and would brag when ever he managed to get laid, which was a little to often for Dimitri to retain any faith in humanity. "Heh ya, that shit hole is the entirety of Terra Minor, but like i always say, size ain't everythin." Now he knew that most people weren't as educated as he was but he kinda expected others to know which continent was which, considering there was only two of them. Still he did have to give her some leeway considering she did just kill a man.

The smile she gave him as she turned was more or less chilling, it reminded th Elf of a shark for what ever reason, not that he had ever seen a shark smile but if they could well... He now knew what it would look like. "Well, there ain't a mess to clean up anyway. We might wanna get the fuck outta 'ere before the cops start looking, though. Or 'is buddies--whichever comes first." He let out a sigh and nodded before finishing his beer and setting the glass back on the bar. "One of these days im actually gonna have somethin to do when i go on these little adventures. It's almost as if the gods are conspiring against my having an interesting life."

With a quick motion of his hand his hat was back on his head and he was back on his feet. Standing at five feet four inches he almost had to look up to look the much taller woman in the face. Still he managed to do it with what one could call dignity."I got a ride a few blocks down if you wanna catch a ride with me. Truth be told id love to have someone ride along, the drive here was long and boring and company can help with that ya know?" After dropping some more cash on the bar he turns and walks his well tailored ass out of the bar, making sure to hold the door open for Bice before he let it slam shut behind them. She may not have been much of a lady, but she was a woman after all and somethings where just to deeply ingrained in him for him to stop them. Being what one might call a "gentleman" was one of them."So, you gonna regal me with the tale of your latest conquest or what?" He hopped she would share, because for what ever reason Dimitri had always loved story time.
