Ye ole Pub Empty Ye ole Pub

Yes! Her day off! A day she could drink. Oh how she enjoyed a drink after a long week at work. She had herself dressed up, sort of. A shirt that looked to big, long enough to be a dress as it reached her lap. Underneath was a camisole, white in color that kept her from showing too much. The color of a light purple with tan leggings on her legs. Her hair was pulled up into a mass of curly reddish blond ponytail that had at last been tamed for the night. On her face was her normal sunglasses, small circles to keep the extreme light out of her eyes. Not her greatest outfit, but one meant for relaxing and enjoying a good drink. She even wore shoes for wobbled walking, only an inch high, the black slippers were great upon her feet. A sprinkled arrangement of jewelry and voila her outfit felt complete.

As she walked inside the pub, she could feel people glancing at her. It was normal, really. As if someone were afraid the next person to enter would be a police officer breaking up some sort of wild party. Wild eyes and panicked frenzies that after a second were discarded. Back to the normal everyday and the drinks were being tossed back.

So many voices were rolling through her ears, it sounded like static on the radio. In and out, up and down, they fluctuated with ease. Laughter, heavy words, slurred words. All of the sorts and smoke that made her almost gag. Yep, this was the place Kata normally visited. Idling up to the bar slowly, she barely paid mind to any faces. After all, she didn't need to know who she was drinking around, none of them would remember come the next morning.

She pulled up a seat at the bar, upon an awkwardly balanced stool and smiled at the tender. Of course the only face she relatively recognized. He didn't bother asking and simply chuckled, handing her the beverage. "That time of the week already, Katayuun?" His voice spoke on another matter while he ran a hand over his aging beard. She simply smiled and nodded. No need for words when she could drink. Oddly, she was more comfortable alone than with others in this matter. No contests meant for more level drunk thinking.

Gripping firmly to the glass, she pulled it to her lips and swallowed her first taste. Naturally it was bitter to the initial touch, but as was most things, it eased. The flavor refreshed and enthused her, making her simply relaxed. Above some old-styled music buzzed in and out though most patrons didn't notice. After crossing her legs, Katayuun stared down upon her cup and twirled her finger around it. A secret smile at her lips, finding it amusing. Oh the little things in life.

Ye ole Pub Empty Re: Ye ole Pub

He smelt of iodine, gasoline and something foul, though he didn't really notice. It's hard to notice any smell when a smokecloud is engulfing you. Dunstan hacked and coughed the entire way to his most regular pub of choice, though one that had changed significantly since the last time he had came.

"D-d-dunstan?" A waitress who was on her cig break stuttered in fear at the sight of him. After all, Reg, the previous owner, had quit because of the state this guy and the police had left the pub. The redesign wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for that storm of destruction. "I thought you were arrested!"

"I was shot a load, I should be dead." Dunstan confidently said, a swagger in his voice as he slung a bike chain around the Princess. The chain immediately burst into flames, much to the waitress' shock and Dunstan's apathy; it wasn't like anyone was stealing it anyway, and though metal couldn't catch aflame, he had used the Princess long enough to know that she simply bent the laws of physics over a table and had her oily way with them. Besides, he supposed, drink was the main matter at hand.

The moment he walked into the pub, everyone's vision snapped to him and eyed him with suspicion. Those who knew what he'd done last time he came here were afraid, and those who didn't wanted to make sure not to trigger whatever made him so feared in the first place. Dunstan didn't even notice, however, walking over to the bar with a confident stride. The barman, who had been talking to a pretty woman so cheerfully, now shakily stumbled over. "D-d-dunstan... what will it be?"

A tense silence, the pub filling with dread. Besides Dunstan, who simply looked around, confused.

"Carraig Pride. Say, Jeff, what happened to jazz night?" He asked without a hint of menace in his voice. Everyone reacted as if he had pointed a gun at the bearded barman, a gasp and nervously trying to turn away. Jeff just grabbed a pint glass in a shaky grip, pouring a beer from tap.

"It's been moved. Thursdays, now." He explained, his voice still nervous and his mouth's movements concealed by his large beard. Dunstan made a disappointed huff. Several people jumped under their tables at the sound.

"Shame, but oh well. You don't know if that sweet little blonde thing's playing, the one who did that sax solo couple o' weeks back? She was pretty good, for a newbie." Jeff shrugged his shoulders, nervously handing the beer over. Dunstan grinned and chugged almost all of it, careful so it didn't touch the burnt side of his face. He didn't put the glass down until he had finished the entire pint; he didn't seem to HAVE a gag reflex. "Couldn't have another, could I? Say, what's gotten in your bonnet? Everyone's proper shaky, there been a raid or something?"

Ye ole Pub Empty Re: Ye ole Pub

Kata found herself humming to the tunes and tapping her fingers to the beat, a second glass filled after being there for a good ten minutes. That would have to be her last one for a while. Drinking it all down rapidly would be bad for her health.. well worse. Her tongue savored each swallow, cherishing the taste buds that went with the flow and danced to the relief that washed over her. A smile on her lips couldn't be bigger from the eternal warming in her stomach. She felt excited, in love with this drink and ready too just hug the bartender. She got in trouble for that last time, so she kept herself under control and instead let out the excess energy with foot swaying and the slight bounce of her head. Aa sweet pub days.

The relaxing was something she enjoyed the most. Though people all around were conversing, she was in her own world. A state of mind achieved only when happy. Nothing really bothered her, not even the man whom nearly fell atop of her then scrambled away murmuring wild apologies. Had his eye been black? She must have been daydreaming. A half glass later and people were staring as if a ghost had walked into the bar, but Katayuun was slow on the uptake. Her eyes bringing her to see a man enter. The focus of all the attention, but he didn't look like much. She wondered what made everyone nearly piss their pants at his sight.

He found a sit at the bar as well and started chatting with the bartender, who also looked terrified. That feeling slipped over her, what was she missing? In a whole second he had downed a glass of what he had asked for her and asked for another. Was she staring? Once she had realized it, she turned her eyes away and back to her drink. The bartender gave her the oddest of looks, that Katayuun proceeded to shrug off. It had to be noting or else people would be leaving- oh wait there went a few. Hrm.. maybe she should be concerned and move away from the man. She wasn't like that though, instead she looked at him with a goofy smile before returning to the drink. A welcome to the pub grin for him, since no one else seemed to be too gracious.

"I love this place!" She murmured to herself earning a bit of a laugh from the bartender. She turned attention back to the man nearby her. "Ah.. Have you been here before?" It seemed random but to her it all made sense. Maybe he was new? Maybe she just never noticed him before. Nonetheless drinking talk was always nice. Though she had told herself to have a couple and head out, it was proper to speak to a person should they sit at the bar next to her.

"Ah.. Have you been here before?" Dunstan looked over to the woman who addressed him, simply gesturing to have his pint glass refilled, which it dutifully was. Now he had turned fully to her, she could see the burnt face of his face, the half that raw, pink and ugly, with one closed eye and next to no hair. The part that made him look like a picture that had a part of it ripped off. His singular eye focused on one part of her body immediately.

"Dude, fucking badass tits." He said, before taking the refilled pint and chugging it in one go. He didn't actually have a gag reflex, simply pumping alcohol down his neck hard and fast. He slammed the glass down, a stupid grin on his face as he looked back to the woman who addressed him. A picture of beauty, with curly strawberry blonde hair, tall, curvaceous; she was probably a model. Dunstan smiled; exactly the kind of woman he had no chance of sleeping with, but he could at least try. He spun in his chair to face her.

"I was a regular, yeah. Last time I came here, I fucked this place up like nobody knew." He explained. The barman shuddered slightly; Dunstan and Alastair had a confrontation that was epic only in its violence, and the bomber was probably supposed to still be in jail. They had both ruined the bar, and sent the previous owner Reg into a nervous breakdown and to leave the country. Dunstan, however, didn't connect the dots that this might be why everyone was nervous in the bar, other than this woman. A friendly face for once, Dunstan thought, sliding a little closer. He pulled a spliff of weed out of his trenchcoat; he was a arsonist and murderer by trade, why bother only smoking outdoors or making sure the things he smoked were strictly legal. He blew a large smoke ring into the air, before taking in a deep intake of the grass, and then blew three smoke rings into the first ring, one smaller than the other, impressive shapes spinning in the air. He looked for the woman's reaction. "You ever been here before, Miss...?"

"Dude, fucking badass tits." She blinked once, then twice. As if it took a moment to register. Truthfully, it was the shock that sat on her face, though not appalled or disgusted, but sincerely surprised. As if what had been said were just a random statement. Her eyes glowed kindly after a moment and she laughed. A soft a swift hiccup under her breath as she grinned at the statement. He was a bit bold. It was flattering. Even in her unflattery outfit he could still pick out her assets. It was a treat to her! She gave a thankful nod with a slight blush and went back to nursing her drink.

His face seemed to be scarred. A pinkish new skin that contrasted with the smoothness of his flesh, almost like a mask. It was rude to stare, but to her it was fascinating. What he must've gone through- Oh he was talking about something. "-regular, yeah. Last time I came here, I fucked this place up like nobody knew." Oh, so that was why people were acting strange? Well crazy drunks did crazy things. Though what she found astounding was his ability to drain a drink like a blackhole. Just a single swallow and he was demanding more. Here she was, nursing her first cup. Then again, she was a bit of a problematic drinker. She often times didn't know how to stop and went home to her son, longing and hugging on him. Or something like that. She couldn't remember a thing she said when she was wasted like that.

Exchanged glances between the tender and the man spoke of a story she missed. She wished she knew now, but it was better to mind her own business. Her eyes turned to the cup and the rest was down. Stop here. Her mind was speaking, but instantly he hand rose and her mouth betrayed her. "Another please." She cooed at the tender with a smile overly wide. Then her attention was pulled as if by a magnet to the man. "You ever been here before, Miss...?"

"-Lokhart. Katayuun Lokhart, a pleasure!" The words she spoke were chipper with an enthusiasm of any woman with a good drink. "I'm usually here every Friday. To celebrate the weekend, but these last few weeks, I been out of country." After shrugging her shoulders, she took her newly filled glass and swiveled the beverage in her hum. A delighted moan elated from her and she pressed the glass to her lips. "Usually I stick to one and leave, but I can't see harm to one more." A laugh to herself as if there were some sort of joke she understood. Odd factor.. she didn't know. Either way, more liquid passed through her lips and tantalized her taste-buds.

"Usually I stick to one and leave, but I can't see harm to one more." Katayuun said to Dunstan, bringing her drink back to her lips. The bomber snorted.

"Make that twelve!" He proclaimed, suddenly having two pints in his hands with ten more in front of him, a wide grin on his face. Neither he nor the bartender knew where they came from; nobody was seen pouring them. Dunstan sat back, draining another pint like a vacuum, before taking a singular, long drag from his spliff. He blew a huge smokering into the air, before twisting his lips into strange shapes, and finally releasing a smoke cloud; as it drifted towards the ring, it took the shape of a rocket as if it was blasting through the air. Dunstan grinned to Katayuun, hoping she was impressed; he had spent years perfecting his smoke ring tricks. The bartender sighed, waving the smoke away with his dishcloth.

"Dunstan, there's a smoking ban! And you're..." He stopped to take a smell, sniffing the air. "That's cannabis!" He said in shock. Dunstan looked to the lit spliff and back to the barman.

"Yes it is." He replied as if nothing was even wrong. The bartender shuddered a little; after the damage Dunstan had caused, no one wanted to bar or even upset him, but the more time Dunstan spent here, the more that the tender was convinced that Dunstan was less a destructive force of nature and more of an idiot who destruction simply followed. He sighed again, not making anymore of it as Dunstan turned his attention back to the strawberry blonde.

"So, Miss Lokhart, what kind of stuff do you do and are you available for sexual relations? Answer the second question first. Dunstan asked, thinking to himself "Brilliant chatup line. I'm so smart."

The man downed alcohol as if it were nothing. Draining it back like an endless pit in an almost revolting way. Katayuun couldn't help but arch her brow at his antics. Such an odd man with a striking fear about him? What had he possibly done to even have the bartender of all people to be in a tivvy as well. Katayuun simply shook her head and minded her own business. Whatever the case was, the man was here just as a drinking partner for the night.

Nursing her own drink, she could barely hear the conversation about weed. Wonderful.. so THAT was what the scent was. She was wondering. Oh well, too late now. Something of a display was shown and the man blew shapes with his smoke, because that was cool? She was impressed with the skills, but not much as to the person's all-around show. As if he was trying too hard. Maybe she was reading into it too deep? It only seemed like he was starting the 'chase'. Attempting to get in her 'britches' or maybe she was just imagining things, though she was hardly- "So, Miss Lokhart, what kind of stuff do you do and are you available for sexual relations? Answer the second question first."

-WELL! He certainly had his own manner of tact, now didn't he? What a pervert! Honestly! Though it was almost.. adorable to her. Normally she would let him down gently, but alcohol stirred in her veins and she could only laugh a bit. Words were at a loss, she honestly didn't know HOW to respond. It wasn't really laughing AT him- well okay, so it was. She couldn't help it! He was just too much with that line. So quick to ask a question. Katayuun definitely wasn't shy, but she wasn't an easy lay either. So, the best way to go about this was to speak. "Aha. Actually, no. I have to get back to my son." She slurred out a bit swiftly. Little fanciness sat in her tone and instead, sloppy words and drunken vocals that sounded like a frying fish to her normal eloquence.

"Things I like are alcohol and hard-working men." She admitted with a wise grin. As if that were something to be proud of, which in a way it was. Kata liked so much more, that was a good start as she threw back another level of alcohol. Her soft hands ran through her hair again and she laughed loudly. "What about you? What kinda thinks do yah like, hun?"
