A Day Off Empty A Day Off

Post by Guest Mon Jul 02, 2012 2:34 pm

When one is an Amazonian guard, your days off are few and far between because you are amongst the best in the service. They require you to be there to protect their esteemed leader that she maybe met face to face. Once. Hell if she remembered. So what was Sabina and her furry friend doing today? Well.... Sabina was breaking up a bar fight. It didn't matter that it was only 7pm on a Tuesday, some idiot had decided it was smart to have a fight inside one of her favorite haunches. Cobra was laying outside with his head on his paws, staring very boredly at the cars and people that passed him by. Some startled at the giant cat's appearance, and others almost seemed drunk enough to think about messing with him. He didn't seem to care too terribly about his master within the establishment.

CRASH!

The table piled high with empty bottles of this particular group of men crashed to the ground and crumbled beneath their friends weight, the circle of people formed about the two taking another step back. A skinny girl stood there panting while glaring daggers at the second idiot who was refusing to go down with her hands tightened into fists at her side. She was wearing her normal outfit of short black tight fitted shorts with a red mini skirt over it. Her mid drift was exposed with a red zip up vest that only extended a rib or two below her ample bust. It was unzipped about halfway to reveal her cleavage and that she was wearing a black sports bra beneath it. Her red fingerless gloves covered her hands, black boots clamped about her calves. Her short brown hair was a little sweaty, a few strands clinging to her face before she brushed them aside with a couple of fingers.

"I told you that you would only be hurting yourself. Why won't you idiots listen to me?" The man was slowly getting up, turning about to face her with a broken bottleneck in his hand. Blood was dripping down from his forehead as he began to smile in a tooootally non-creepy way (he was plotting dirty things she could tell) while brandishing the sharp glass at her. "Because sweet cakes... I'm going to make you eat more than just your words." ... What? He lunged clumsily forward to slash at her wildly with his makeshift weapon. Sabina side-stepped and gripped his wrist, twisting about and disarming him before she elbowed him hard in the side of his head. With the broken bottle now in her possession the big man finally toppled over and stayed down, all of the shouting going oddly quiet in the bar. Panting from the exersion of this stupid event, she glanced about and started to head towards the door when a woman came out from behind her and grabbed her arm. She was spun about to face the woman just as her fist came crashing into her cheek which was followed by another quick shot. OW. SON OF A- The woman was now glaring at the Amazonian with such anger that Sabina was given pause. Aside from the fact that now she was bleeding from the corner of her lip and the beginnings of a shiner on the opposite cheek.

What in the world had made this woman decide it was smart to attack her when she had just taken down her boyfriend? The woman threw another punch which Sabina caught in her hand, twisting her wrist painfully before kicking her in the stomach while letting go. The woman went toppling over with a cry of pain, rage, and surprise, her tall heels doing nothing to help her maintain balance. "You two fucking idiots are lucky I don't arrest you on the spot for assaulting a militant." She snapped at them before turning on her heel and storming out of the place. There was no way she was going back there anytime soon. It was only now that Cobra raised his great head and actually seemed lively once he saw that his partner was injured. A soft rumble in his throat indicated his concern as she knelt down next to him to stroke his ears, shaking her head. "No, they aren't worth it Cobra. Come on, lets get out of her before I lose my sense." She murmured, sliding onto his back as the great cat straightened up. He chose a direction and began to walk, knowing full well that she wouldn't quite want to return home where she would roil in her anger. For a large cat, he wasn't stupid. So for now, they would wander the streets, maybe find her some ice for her eye before they would head home.

A Day Off Empty Re: A Day Off

Post by Guest Mon Jul 02, 2012 8:04 pm

Paperwork. Pfffttt.. Blas hated paperwork, but he wasn't known for slacking. However it was Tuesday and he hated doing paperwork, so instead, he hid his work and went for a patrol to clear his head. A day as any other had left him sleepy and altogether bored. His eyes watched the streets for supposed evils of the Esparian world. With a basic gun and sword at his side, he shuffled through the streets; a similar as any officer. Dark hair swayed over his blue irises. the sky becoming downcast from night encroaching and the sun debating on going to bed as it teetered on the horizon. Pinks reds and oranges on the sky, blue fading out to black and simply making the colors dance in the sky.

Such a dull day and wonders to see. Not really, but he could dream. most likely after this, he would go home, look at some magazines and go to bed in an hour. That was the routine. How he could remember in the beginning that his body would ache from scrubbing down his uncle's house and then work on top of it all mixed with training. It was no wonder he was fit for a boy his age. however the mental images of him in the apron and cap had to be pushed away. Lucky enough he could do it all in his militant uniform. Unfortunately for him today, he was wearing something different. His black wife beater clung to his body in the heat while a pair of blue jeans sat somewhat loose on his waist. Boots on his feet and the oddest of things; a scarf around his neck. His treasure was that scarf.

While his feet carried him, he watched people hurry on their ways home. Dust kicked up behind each footstep and the sound of running could reach his ear. It seemed everyone was going home even a young woman whom looked as if she were hurt. Wait! The face seemed familiar. Blas stopped dead in his tracks to see the brunette and a giant cat staring on the street, crimson spread a small section on her face. That wasn't right. Who dared to harm a lady's face?! It was an unspoken rule.

Unfortunately she was across the road, and being the concerned officer he was, Blas DID NOT look both ways when he crossed the street, nearly earning his badge for being hit by a car.A horn blared and he jumped out of his skin, stumbling out of the way then giving a nervous apology. His hand waved to them before he finished his trip.

Hands on his knees to recover from the panic, he looked up with a bit of a sweaty nervousness. "A-Ah! A-Are you alright, Miss?" he would stammer in a stutter. Just as attractive as the face he remembered. Even with a black eye she was still highly attractive. His eyes showed great pain while he took a quick look around. Where could he get ice? He supposed he'd have to buy some. Even though he didn't know this woman. "A-ah ahm Your eye looks painful... I will ice get you some.." There he went. Attractive women and Blas simply did not mix well. It showed every time he tried to speak. Ugly women he had no problem with, but Sabina, even with a black eye, was still so beautiful in his eyes. "I-I mean.. Can I get you some eyes? ICE ICE not EYES! GAH!" He fumbled again. Strike two.

taking a deep breath he tried once again, taking her hand and patting it gently. This time he thought through what he said. "The bruise on you certainly does not make you ugly!" Or so he thought. That sounded terrible when he said it. Why couldn't he speak to women?! His heart sank and he cleared his throat twice. "I'll just.. go get that ice.." Trying to brush off the embarrassment, he turned his body away and looked both ways. "Stay. Right here. Or come with me. I didn't mean come like that though! I mean.. GAH nevermind! Just stay here!" His arms flailed a bit as a spazz he was before he disappeared for a moment.

It was about two minutes later, he would run back with the ice, probably not having the girl the option to reject his help. He took it up upon himself to help her. Whether she wanted it or not. holding the bag on his shoulder, he grinned brightly and then dropped it.. onto his own toe. the reaction was about a full twenty seconds later when he shouted out in pain and fell back.. onto his ass. Today was not his day it seemed. With a goofy smile he looked at the girl through pain and managed words. "I-I meant to do that.."

A Day Off Empty Re: A Day Off

Sabina was trying to stem the bleeding from the small cut in her lip that would just not stop bleeding, wiping it away with her wrist which left stains even though a fresh trickle would just replace it. "Fucking bitch... I should have hit her harder." She muttered under her breath, Cobra stopping and turning his head to stare at her with a low growl. This made her eyes widen ever so slightly as an eyebrow raised, lifting her arms as she stared at her friend. "What? You think I shouldn't have? The bitch fucking attacked me out of nowhere. Just like her fucking boyfriend. It was self-defense no matter how one plays it." She snapped just as a sudden car horn drew both of their attention. A blue haired man wearing a scarf, which was weird enough in the heat, came stumbling up to them quite startled. Blinking twice, Sabina's eyes had darkened to a brown in the suns fading light as she stared a little bit up at this man as he faced her now. "A-Ah! A-Are you alright, Miss?"

.... what? She stared at him another moment as if she couldn't believe he had asked her that until Cobra's tail came up and flicked her in the back. "A-ah ahm You're eye looks painful... I will ice get you some.." She snirked at his mistake, a smile slowly beginning to spread across her lips as he just kept going. "I-I mean.. Can I get you some eyes? ICE ICE not EYES! GAH!" It was then that she burst out laughing. Sure it probably wasn't the nicest thing, but it was just so funny! And adorable. The boy was trying to help her out, but for some reason had forgotten how to speak their language and was fumbling horribly. God... it was just so adorable. So when he took her hand, she merely tilted her head ever so slightly and raised one eyebrow, curious to see what he would say now. "The bruise on you certainly does not make you ugly!" *snrk* Oh this was priceless, where was a camera when you needed one? "I'll just.. go get that ice.. Stay. Right here. Or come with me. I didn't mean come like that though! I mean.. GAH nevermind! Just stay here!" How in the world had she found this boy? "Ok, you do that. I appreciate it!" She called after him as he went running out of embarrassment.

Cobra now turned his head back to look at her and if he could, she swore that he was raising an eyebrow at her as if to say, "What was that guys problem?" Chuckling, she ruffled him behind the ears and winced at how it stung to smile now. Fucking bitch. "What? I think its endearing. He's just trying to impress a pretty girl." To which her giant leopard scoffed and rolled his eyes, now deciding to stare off after the man. Sabina was a little taken aback by this and clicked her tongue, unable to simply let this go. "Excuse me? Are you trying to say you don't think I'm pretty? I am a beautiful lady I'll have you know!" Aaaand as if to prove this, she promptly fell off of her mount as he flopped over laughing. With a small little "eep!" as she hit the ground, she rubbed her bum and stood up, her hands going to her hips as she stared all flustered at her feline companion. "Ohhh you are such a brat! Stop laughing at me, I know I'm not a lady at all." She was much more muted at the admittance, a heavy sigh escaping her just as a familiar figure came running up.

Sabina was honestly surprised to see him come back with ice in tow, and she couldn't help but chuckle when he dropped the ice on his foot. Who was this guy? Stepping forward as her chuckle continued, she offered a hand to him with an easy smile, "I-I meant to do that.." With a small tug, she pulled him up to his feet and picked up the ice he had meant for her, placing it over her swollen with a small hiss at the initial pain. "I'm sure you did hehe. Thanks for the ice. Not many people would help some girl they randomly saw injured on the street." Her hand slipped away from his as she let it rest on her hip once more. They guy was handsome and certainly an odd ball. She liked him. "My name is Sabina, whats yours?"

A Day Off Empty Re: A Day Off

Blas rubbed his foot a moment, or rather his boot as he tried to recover from the small bag of ice he had just slammed onto his foot. For a moment he wondered why he hadn't worn steel-toe boots anyways. he was a militant like any other and yet, he wore regular boots. His mind swayed and sighed as he tried to calm himself. Something about attractive women left him in a tivvy. His head was spinning for some reason. Would she even accept him now that he'd made a complete idiot of himself?

His prayer was soon answered as she placed out a hand to him. "I'm sure you did hehe. Thanks for the ice. Not many people would help some girl they randomly saw injured on the street." He gave a sheepish smile. A compliment! That made him swell with pride. His blue eyes lit up and he felt almost magically healed of all doubt. Funny how the first part of her speech disappeared. All that mattered, was the second half. The part where he was special for helping an injured woman. Internally he couldn't help but feel a 'Jackpot' moment.

As she helped him up he gave a slight of a goofy smile. Her Face remained just as perfect with the package of ice sat upon it. He couldn't help but smile more as he stood on his feet. "Y-You think so?" His hopes sky rocketed. Maybe he was finally getting better than he thought. ...Or so he assumed. Scratching the back of his head, he kept his eyes closed from an ecstatic enthusiasm. "My name is Sabina, whats yours?"

He paused a moment and set his hands at his sides, before taking a swift bow. his hand cradling his stomach as he bowed forward. "I am Blas. It's a pleasure to actually speak to you, Miss Sabina." He stated softly. "I've seen you around I just never got to talk to you." That sounded wrong for a moment. "N-NOT LIKE STALKING! I-I just mean I work as a militant too. I see you around here and there. I don't follow you! I SWEAR. That would just be creepy, right?" Why did it sound creepier the more he denied it. So much for his new charm. His eyes closed and he groaned. This was terrible. He was simply awful at this talking thing.

A Day Off Empty Re: A Day Off

Post by Guest Mon Jul 02, 2012 9:08 pm

At this point Cobra had straightened himself up and sat beside and behind his partner, watching as she helped up this strange man before them. Sabina couldn't help but chuckle at how his features had exploded into such a smile at the simple compliment that was merely the truth. Few would even approach a woman on her mounted animal for they knew exactly who they were. Everyone always seemed mildly afraid of the Amazon's and their "savage" ways. Or at least thats what she had heard when she had been at school growing up. Even though nobody really said such things out loud to her now, she could still see it in their eyes. Yet she did not see that in his which was a relief in itself. He probably just saw her as another pretty face. Meh, she could live with that.

"Y-You think so?" Adjusting the ice pack over her air, she grinned and held out a thumbs up, trying not to wince at how it hurt her lip. "Absolutely!" A fresh stream of blood rolled down the side of her lip, making her curse under her breath as she wiped it away while leaving a fresh blood streak on her arm. She really should have given that woman more of a what for. Fucking bitch. But that was beside the point, the young man seemed to be introducing himself, "I am Blas. It's a pleasure to actually speak to you, Miss Sabina." Huh? Why had he phrased that that way? One of her eyebrows began to raise as her smile faltered a little, really hoping that it was just a miss phrasing. "I've seen you around I just never got to talk to you." Or... maybe it wasn't. Shit, had she gotten helped by a creeper? Cobra was beginning to rise up as he stared at the blue haired man warily, not liking the way his speech was towards Sabina. "N-NOT LIKE STALKING! I-I just mean I work as a militant too. I see you around here and there. I don't follow you! I SWEAR. That would just be creepy, right?"

She took a moment to consider him before placing her free hand atop Cobra's head to pet his fur, calming him since she could tell the kid meant well. "Oh I see... So just the casual work place glances right?" She asked him with a smirk, careful that she raised the good side of her lip as opposed to the bad. "It would be very creepy if you followed me around, but I suspect Cobra here would have gotten ahold of your scent by now if you had." She patted the head of her big friend, hearing him harumph in confirmation. Heh, show off. "So you are a militant eh? Just a regular foot soldier? I mean, I really only get to see the other women of the Amazon division so either way I probably wouldn't have gotten to see you really. Just boring patrols from the wall." She sighed lightly, shrugging her shoulders as she gathered a few more strands from in front of her face.

The woman tried to give a thumbs up, but the adjusting ended up breaking a thin line of crimson that dripped down and was swiftly brushed away. A streak of light red in its wake. The pain in her eyes! Blas felt terrible. A woman did not deserve to bleed! Especially not her face! His sympathetic eyes swept over her form a moment as she spoke, letting her. It would have been rude to interrupt, after all! "Oh I see... So just the casual work place glances right?" He nodded with a soft smile. Her hand seemed to be absent-mindedly pet her mount's head. The giant cat that Blas swore wanted to eat him. Those eyes of a feline that dared him to hurt her. Lucky for that cat Blas wasn't the type to hurt people or take advantage of people.

"It would be very creepy if you followed me around, but I suspect Cobra here would have gotten ahold of your scent by now if you had." His eyes flicked to the huge mammal and gave an awkward smile. Indeed, running into that beast would not be well on bad terms. He had a fear in his eyes and he simply then turned away from that kitty and back to the Sabina. Her voice rang out again, catching his complete attention.

"So you are a militant eh? Just a regular foot soldier? I mean, I really only get to see the other women of the Amazon division so either way I probably wouldn't have gotten to see you really. Just boring patrols from the wall." Again, Blas nodded, before stepping towards her again. His hand lifting a bit, though almost fearfully. He didn't want a broken hand, but his eyes showed no ill intent. Reaching forward he brushed some of the hairs out of her wound and tucked it to the side of her ace. Terrified to make any further movements, he stepped back and fished in his pockets. Luck paid off and he pulled out a tissue (unused).

As he wet it against the cold bag of ice, he proceeded to gently wipe the streak from her face. His hand a bit shaky, frightened that she'd break it off, but he was kindly moving it. "T-There." He said in his shy whisper, before smiling at her. "P-Perfect." He smiled a bit before tucking the bloody napkin into his pocket for the next trashcan they passed. "And yes. I am but a simple foot soldier, so I kind of just patrol. I've only seen you once or twice, but you get more beautiful each time!" He paused a moment trying tyo make sure he said nothing stupid.

A Day Off Empty Re: A Day Off

Post by Guest Sun Jul 08, 2012 7:44 pm

What was WITH this guy? She had noted the sympathy in his eyes after her stupid lip started to bleed again (why hadn't she done more than knock that woman out?!), and for some reason it irked her a little. She didn't want to be some delicate flower that deserved pity. She was an Amazonian! A warrior woman! She.... ah fuck it. She could sense her mother shining through her personality, for once, and so it was gone as soon as this realization hit her. This guy was clearly crushing on her and had been for some time. Except he seemed like he was a shy little sheep! Even Cobra was probably rolling his eyes at Blas. He was clearly uncomfortable with her leopard friend who watched them with a mild interest, any protective feelings already lessening into calm. This guy was not a threat to her in the least bit.

So it surprised her a bit when he suddenly stepped closer to her, making her freeze up a bit since it was so unexpected. Why was he stepping closer? They had just met he better not be-- His fingers brushed her hair aside. She could feel her face heat up in a little blush, her eyes going a bit wide in her surprise. She wasn't sure if she should be thanking him or bawwwing because he had been so timid it was ADORABLE. So the silence stretched instead as he seemed to be looking for something in his pockets. Please don't be a picture of her or something... Ok good, it was just a tissue. Oh who was she kidding, she could tell this kid wasn't a stalker. He wouldn't have the balls for it. Unless he was deceiving her right now with an act, a very convincing act she had to add. No, she had to stop being silly. The feeling that she got from him was that he was very sweet and sincere. She was only proved right as he began to dab the blood from her skin, wincing slightly as he had to draw close to the wound. "T-There." Then he smiled. And Sabina had to say, she had never felt her insides become so warm because of a man ever. She found herself staring because there was just a glow that he took on with that smile. "P-Perfect." She had to blink a couple of times as Cobra gave her hand a great big wet lick, making her groan in disgust. "Really you big furball?" She muttered at him, having to resist sticking her tongue out since that would have probably hurt.

"And yes. I am but a simple foot soldier, so I kind of just patrol. I've only seen you once or twice, but you get more beautiful each time!" Ohhhh he was adorkable. She chuckled softly despite her better judgement and smirked, one of her hands coming to rest on her hip. "Well thank you simple foot soldier." Ack, she needed movement. Or booze. Mmm booze.... "Hey, Blas, do you like to swim?" She asked him very suddenly, tilting her head slightly as she waited for his answer. She felt like swimming right now, just shooting the shit in the ocean wounds or no. And there would be booze near the water too! Maybe she shouldn't show him her loud drunken side, but maybe he would get boozed up too and relax. Maybe.... She was liking this plan more and more with every passing second.

A Day Off Empty Re: A Day Off

Post by Guest Tue Jul 10, 2012 9:50 am

The woman seemed to accept his offering of wiping away the blood. he was in relief to know she wouldn't break his arm now. Of course he knew better than to take some sort of advantage of that. It was odd that he felt okay with talking to this woman, though his head was going to explode. His eyes closed and he took a deep breath. Control. That was the best way to manage a conversation. He face though.. was so beautiful despite the slight imperfection. His words went without a smack in the face. No pain this far! He must have improved ten old... or this woman was very...tolerant. It simply made him smile still; ear to ear.

A hand graced her hip, furthering the feminine posture she held. Her form was beautiful; certainly a sight for him to behold. He couldn't help but blush a bit. Was it wrong for him to think her body was just downright sexy? As she seemed amused on his words, he realized it was very much so odd. Her large.. cat.. had given unto her a very wet lick that made Blas laugh softly. She yelled at it, but Blas could tell.. she adored her mount. Sometimes Blas wished he could have a pet. The idea of someone close to him like that of a pet and master, seemed like such a fun idea, but.. sadly his uncle would skin him alive if Blas ever brought home a pet without so much as asking and well, Blas didn't ask his uncle for anything. Somehow he just KNEW it would not end well if he tried.

"Well thank you simple foot soldier." Blas blushed more and gave a sheepish grin. A thank you! How rare those wore, but he loved it. "Hey, Blas, do you like to swim?" Blas recoiled a moment. Swimming? Surely she wasn't askinghim to go swimming.. at night? Swimming meant bathing suits and he didn't exactly keep his on hand. Not wanting to think more of the rather.. active images his mind promoted.

"I do like swimming." He admitted. "Why do you ask?" He hoped it was just curiosity, because this woman was going to kill him if she was asking him. The idea alone was making Blas dizzy from the blood draining from his head.. sort of. However he gave a nervous and awkward smile. It wasn't like he had a lot of time on his hands. His curfew was in less than an hour but, she had his full attention. Taking some time to spend it with an attractive woman didn't seem like a bad idea, for now at least!

A Day Off Empty Re: A Day Off

Post by Guest Tue Jul 10, 2012 8:39 pm

He was smiling again. She had looked away for two seconds, but she noticed it immediately out of the corner of her eye. Man was that freaking captivating! Had he won over a lot of girls with that smile of his? Or was this a smile meant only for her, caused only by her? Aw man... now she wanted to know more about this guy. Yeah she should be happy about it, but such things always put her a bit on edge. It wasn't like she had been able to date a lot of people growing up because of..... stuff.... She didn't know how to act at all! Her mother was no lady so she had no role-model to base herself off of, and her father had been another military guy so he never quite got out much. She worked too much to go to the club scene and "pick up" guys, and... yea... no. Wait, why was she worrying so much about that sort of shit? There was no guarantee this was going that way at all! She was putting words into her own head! Or maybe it was Cobra. Her eyes glanced down to the large cat and he looked off dumbly into the distance. Yeah, it was his fault.

But! Back to the very important question that had nothing to do with any of the above. "I do like swimming." Eeeexcellent! She began to grin rather widely as Cobra was already getting up, her legs swinging over his back as she grabbed Blas' hand. "Why do you ask?" She almost completely disregarded his question as she pulled him on behind her, looking to Cobra to be sure that he was alright. He would be fine to the beach at least. She placed Blas' hand about her waist as a signal for him to hold on before she spoke quite matter-of-factly, "Because we are going to have a night out, come on!" She gripped the giant leopards fur tightly, his great legs carrying them off towards the beach. Chuckling, she urged Cobra on a bit faster, his body loping past and through throngs of people with ease. Most knew better than to try getting in the way of an Amazonian on her mounted steed. Life began to pick up a bit more the closer they came to the beach, but there still weren't too many people out this particular evening. And hopefully she wouldn't be getting into anymore fights. This was a night of drinking and fun with a pretty man! Whatever the hell that meant.

The giant leopard slowed to a stop beside a quaint little bar that was open facing towards the beach, Sabina sliding off and patting her friends slightly sweaty fur. "Do want a drink before we swim? Or are you a lightweight? Because if you are a lightweight, then I suggest no drinks if you really want to swim. Possibly drowning is kind of a downer I hear." She chuckled as she turned to face him, her hands clasping behind her back with a bright smile. Mmmm, this was why she loved her home. God the atmosphere was awesome!

"Because we are going to have a night out, come on!" Blas didn't have much of an option. His hand was grabbed and then he was pulled on the giant animal. His eyes were wide in his head. He'd never been on any sort of mount before, not that he could remember anyways. His arm was guided to the woman's waist. As her hand moved away, instinctively he pulled himself closer, trying not to fall off as his arm looped around her waist. The action made his heart hammer angrily on his ribs and his face was a deep red. Words couldn't come out correctly. "I-I uh okay." He managed while he tried desperately not to feel naturally excited by this situation.

Damn being a man. Luckily the mount was moving and how terrible he felt. His back straight, he hoped it would ease the tension. Minimal body touching should make it the easiest. However he couldn't help the way he felt. So confused, he tried thinking of something else to distract the crazy joy that flickered through him. Sabina. He could remember his friends talking about her. A maneater in some cases. He couldn't envision this woman as some psychotic girl bent on devouring male counterparts. She seemed kind of gentle, like most women were. Blas simply had a hard time talking to her because well, she was a beauty.

Why did he keep thinking that? His cheeks were still red as the ride stopped and she slid off. Blas soon followed, after letting go of her waist, of course. She was so excited. "Do want a drink before we swim? Or are you a lightweight? Because if you are a lightweight, then I suggest no drinks if you really want to swim. Possibly drowning is kind of a downer I hear." Drink? Blas never did that before, but he was desperate to impress her. Maybe ONE couldn't hurt... he hoped. Maybe he could get away with pouring a soda into a bottle and pretending it was alcohol? The last thing he wanted was to end up harassing this woman. After all, he really did like her!

"U-Uh.. Alright.." He stated in a nervous and unsure tone. Oh how he prayed this wouldn't be disastrous. HE wanted to swim, not drown, so mentally he drilled into his own mind; ONE ONLY ONE. "Say, Miss Sabina... do you drink often?" He asked calmly, just making the conversation more as he saw her face light up.

A Day Off Empty Re: A Day Off

"I-I uh okay." No, it didn't occur to her that maybe he would have a curfew or some such. It didn't even cross her mind that maybe he wouldn't want to join her for a late night swim. Her selfishness had taken over completely, and she wanted to have some fun. Besides, he didn't seem to be fighting it that hard now was he? She wasn't surprised that his grip was both tight, yet loose, as they rode upon Cobra's back. If he had been giving such glances for as long as he said he had, then he was probably welcoming the chance to be so close to her heh. Now what in the world should she get when she got to the beach? Should she drink beer? No, it did not feel like a beer night. Not when that was what made those assholes attack her earlier. Well, that and words. Fucking bitch. At least the swelling in her eye had gone down, thanks to the ice that Blas had so kindly retrieved for her. It was like having a loyal puppy around! Cobra did glance back to her as the thought crossed her mind. Sigh... he was right, that was hardly a fair thought.

Oh well, in any case, they were here now and she was excited. "U-Uh.. Alright.." Well that wasn't a very confident answer, was it? Sabina couldn't help but look at him and tilt her head a bit, an eyebrow raising as she was trying to judge if she should let him have a drink. Was he trying to impress her? It wasn't like she would be offended if he didn't. She began to walk up to the bar, slowing as he spoke again, "Say, Miss Sabina... do you drink often?" Chuckling, she turned back to face him as she continued backing up towards the counter, managing to avoid someone who was leaving. "Oh please, Sabina is fine. I don't need to feel fancier than I am. But does it show? I do drink often. Call it a little pleasure in life." Now she focused upon the bartender who smirked at her, glancing between his usual customer and the newbie behind her. "Hey Al. Hows business tonight?" She asked with a smile, already unzipping her vest without much concern about stares. He shrugged lightly, "Can't complain. Do you want your usual? By the way, whose your friend?" He nodded towards Blas with a knowing look, chuckling as Sabina managed to reach behind the counter to punch him lightly in the arm with a laugh.

"He's another militant like me ya bastard. Nah, I'll have something else. A.... Cuba Libré I think. Oh, and something light for my friend. Can't risk passing out in the water. So maybe some plantain chips with hummus just to be safe?" She asked of him, leaning upon the counter comfortably. As she removed her vest, Cobra walked up to her and let her lay it across his back, obviously quite used to this routine. "Hah! Fine fine. Cuba Libré? Well someones feeling fiesty. Sure thing, something light." The tanned man looked over to Blas again and seemed to consider him for a moment before nodding to himself, turning his brown eyes to Sabina. "On the house tonight. You know the drill. Have fun girly. Cobra, keep an eye on her alright?" The Amazonian girl grinned and saluted him as she quickly began removing her skirt since she had her very fitted shorts on underneath, the large leopard nodding to the man before turning to head down closer to the water.

Sabina finally returned her focus to Blas, positively beaming as she grabbed both of his hands, her eyes a sparkling amber in the torches light. "Ready for this? Oh, and don't worry about Al. He'll take good care of you, trust me." Surprisingly enough, she tugged him gently towards the lapping waves, slowing to a stop as they were a good distance from the wet sand. It was now that she removed her boots and fingerless gloves, taking a deep breath of that salty air. God how she loved the ocean. Oh wait a moment, he wasn't used to this was he? Whipping about to face Blas, she chuckled out of embarrassment as a faint blush came over her cheeks, a happy sort of calm coming over her. She wasn't being too pushy, was she? Sometimes that did happen... "You can just strip down to your boxers or pants. Whichever you are more comfortable with. Cobra doesn't mind watching our clothes." She said softly, suddenly remembering that she was still wearing her holster for her gun and her obsidian dagger, quickly removing her weapons and leaving them with her giant friend. NOW she was ready for a quick dip before drinks!

"Oh please, Sabina is fine. I don't need to feel fancier than I am. But does it show? I do drink often. Call it a little pleasure in life." Blas nodded as she spoke. A pleasure in life. She drank often. He wondered how often was often. How he prayed she wasn't a violent drunk, he wasn't particularly fond of getting his ass kicked. He had some dignity that he needed to spare. That and his uncle would NEVER let him hear the end of it, if he got his ass beat. More training, more studies and the like, all of it would be needed to put Blas where he 'needed to be' in the words of the man. Blas would probably never reach his uncle inhuman needs to be rich. The charisma and charm was what he needed more than anything, good looks mainly advanced the chances.

While Blas began day dreaming about walking in the sand, (he didn't get to often) Sabina seemed to be talking to some man. Blas wasn't paying attention, but heard something about a light beverage. It sounded good to him, after all he didn't want to make a fool of him. And then, he caught sight of her.. stripping. What happened to bathing suits? Seemed that going in their underwear was the option. Awkward moment was awkward. Blas' face reddened and he turned his attention to the bar, probably earning an odd look from the bartender. Even though she had some of her uniform beneath, Blas knew he didn't. This woman would see him in his underwear... Why did he feel so shy? Didn't most men jump to the chance? Here he was half shaking with nervousness. Internally he gave himself a pep talk.

"Ready for this? Oh, and don't worry about Al. He'll take good care of you, trust me." Al? Oh.. that must have been the bartender. He had missed that part of the conversation. Meanwhile on the real world, the young woman led him eagerly by his hands. The waves of blue and green mingled and rolled nearer. A step below was the sand and she stopped once again, to speak to him. "You can just strip down to your boxers or pants. Whichever you are more comfortable with. Cobra doesn't mind watching our clothes." Blas blushed further, a lump swallowed down to try and keep his shyness at a minimum. It wasn't working. He could barely nod, as he tried to give up the awkward feeling.

After a deep breath, he unzipped his jacket, letting it slide off, then the wife-beater to follow. Then it came to the question of pants or boxers. He hesitated, wondering if it would be okay, stripping to his boxers. His hands fumbled at the button, undoing it and freeing himself from the trousers. they fell to the grown, revealing his boxers beneath and making him shift a bit, trying to get used to being THAT naked in front of a girl. Sure it wasn't like he was in nothing, but he felt like it. He had to admit though, the sandy air washing his body felt kind of good as a relief from the normal heated day. His eyes turned to her and brightly he smiled, a sweet notion to show he was okay with this (even if he wasn't, he would force himself to be). "Ready when you are!" His voice sang in slight excitement. Whether this night proved to be a disaster, her was GOING to have fun.
