Dreams of the shield maiden
Angilika opened her crimson bloody eyes for she was just but an observer. An observer who kept watching over her old memories. Like a librarian administrating the old archives of his or her establishment. The ivory haired woman remembered everything vividly with no room whatsoever for forgetfulness, she revisited them again and again every night. Reliving the horrors of her own training and her life before. It was like training at night, there was no time for resting it seemed. Was it a boon or a curse? The strong headed woman never deliberated the matter even if she had to remember the faces of those she had killed with her own hands.
Only those who can adapt, can survive. The equation was pretty simple, it had nothing to do with being the fittest, the strongest, the fastest or anything. And adapt was all what she did. All for the sake of the fatherland, the land of her father.
By then, it was when she was released from her training facilities to the open world to receive another kind of deadly training. Being sent to the north, the frozen barrens of brigs when Amestris was still father-ful, Angelika was ordered to survive with nothing on her but light weight clothes and a claymore. The snowy tundra and mountains was full of predators, humans and in-humans alike.
But her dreams were peculiar, there was this third person moments where Angelika saw herself as a separate different entity from her original self such as such a moment in her dream.
A truck dropped her younger version off somewhere in the middle of nowhere with no extraction point and date. The ivory haired crimson eyed woman was told then she was deemed worthy of running another type of tests, they would pick her up. To run for one hundred miles was matter and running for infinity was totally different one and such was case.
"Don't get your self and we will get back to you" It was simple as that. The older Angelika didn't say anything and kept her silence and things went first person.
And so it began, her never ending chronicles..her ever lasting dreams.
