"Urrrrrrggghhh... need milk..."

Pancake was not as awake as he once was. It is the strangest thing; sleep for more than ten hours, you'll end up tired. Sleep for nearly twenty, and Pancake was discovering the extent of the wreckage it did to him. His head was pounding and the entire world was fuzzy and blurred. The noise from the cars rang into his ears like a hammering thunder. His movements and reactions were slowed by a pounding agony in his head, and he just felt groggy in general. Everything from top to bottom with the world was a mess. Worse yet, when he woke up, he literally had nothing in his fridge. Now he had to find food.

So he found himself at the closest Sainsbury's Local, a grim little place in a grim little corner of London. Even though the automatic doors had began to slowly slide apart, he impatiently tore them apart with his tendrils in one almighty CRUNCH, cracking the glass like rips in a cloth. The white lights from the ceiling glared into his eyes, forcing him to shield himself. However, he didn't get to shield himself for all too long as nearly every shopper stepped back in fear, letting him in. Pancake gave a tired but cruel grin. Whenever that happened, he felt power rushed through his veins.

"Morning." He said, the words curling out of his mouth as he walked on by, the doors left hanging and cracked. At least half of the shoppers began to rush for the doors the moment Pancake's field of vision had passed them, though his coiling tentacles coiled around behind him. He immediately walked to the aisle ahead of him, and punched a hole into a milk bottle before raising it to his head and drinking a mouthful, spilling some across his chin and neck in the process, the energy already roaring back into him.

"How disgusting and unruly. Truly you lack tact." A voice boomed with clear displeasure. A woman stood over five feet tall, about half a foot extra in her heeled boots that traced her calves. Her voice was filled with clear contempt and the way her arms crossed beneath her bosoms only slowed vision in taking in her figure. Yes, the snobby little Silver Family Princess had shown her face in the likes of such a low-life's wonderland. Her lip twitched as she felt a need to elaborate on her sentence, "Though that's why you're here, isn't it? Living among the cockroaches and filth." Her words were like daggers and indeed it seemed she were starting a fight. To her, this place was nothing but a low-class wanna-be store. She'd after all, normally visited stores of higher caliber.

Her appearance was different from then. Without dye in her hair, the color was a sandy blond with most brushed towards her right eye. Her eyes glowed a shining blue as the sky, mingled with the steely cold of silver. Nothing short of a glower sat on her face, pure disappointment in her veins. This man, she hated him. He had humiliated her, made her feel useless in front of her people. Making sure to keep a good distance from him, she turned and began to take her leave. She HAD made her point, after all.

Would it irritate him? Would he make a scene? Secretly, Deity hoped so. She wanted to spit into his eye, smash his dignity until there was none left. How could he get away with such things, while she was left to bleed at night, new scars upon her wrist and thighs. Bleeding it out, that horrid feeling of no control. Squeeze the crimson droplets until she felt woozy with lack of life. The deepest ones looked almost as tattoos on the pale of her skin. An elegant woman with striped tattoos? It seemed unfitting.

As she stepped, the tails of her dress moved with her. The high, white boots reached her knees with tied up lacing. The people who had remained in the store stared at her, confused at what she was even doing here. In all truth, she had been waiting on HIM. That man.. she remembered from two years ago. A finger fell to her lips and she sighed softly. He seemed the type who would be around these parts, but despite how often she had come, he was never here. Was he a phantom? Was it a dream? Her arms wrapped around themselves and she sighed.

It had to have been a memory. It had been years now, he was nowhere around. Her heart sort of fell. Without him around, she felt she had no life. Her own family had turned against her and when she found someone new, they only wanted her money. Truly low lives like these may have been weak and vulnerable, but at least they were free. Pigeons, but free birds nonetheless. Her eyes turned to look out the dusty windows of the disgusting shop and for a moment she thought she saw him, but then, he was gone; a bird that flew up and away. Remembering she had been talking to Pancake, she snapped back and turned to survey the man's reaction.

"How disgusting and unruly. Truly you lack tact. Though that's why you're here, isn't it? Living among the cockroaches and filth."

Pancake couldn't react quickly if he wanted to, the milk still to his lips. His eyes pushed themselves open with a great deal of grogginess. It was... someone he recognised. His mind's gears churned to try and recognise her. She was wearing exceedingly fancy clothes, so she was associated with fanciness. But where had Pancake ever been that was fancy?

Oh, he thought. The White House.

Deity gave a brief gaze away from him before turning back as Pancake lowered the milk away from his face, the contents still spilling out. His tentacles coiled midair aggressively, poised to strike as he pulled his arm back and flung the milk bottle right into the woman's face. She was one for attention and punishment, Pancake thought. She sounded so angry, too, and he hadn't really done anything by his standards. He had hung her up a little, then dropped her down again. It was nothing, really.

"Huh. You again." He sneered, his tired state making him sound uninterested by her presence. His arms, however, were much more excited, crawling ever closer to her, claws bared and ready to strike her. Pancake himself didn't move, simply looking dead on to her with a glare that could shatter stone, before his lips began to curl slightly. "Seeing as you're here, feel like paying for me? There's a right answer to that question, by the way."

"Huh. You again." Disinterest. This man had no qualms with causing people embarrassment and causing terror? She felt he should just crawl into the depths of Hell he had come from and just DIE there. Deity's eyes narrowed as milk was thrown at her face, but she ducked away so it instead collided with the floor. Unfortunately she had managed to get hit in some manner, the glass smacking hard into her nose. That HURT. Luckily she didn't bleed. It still hurt like Hell. Her hand moved to her nose swiftly. She could feel a tear in her eyes. Pain.. Such pain.. Her voice had released a soft grunt of displeasure.

"Seeing as you're here, feel like paying for me? There's a right answer to that question, by the way." He was ready to move, to attack her? Oh how most amusing. Laughing silently, she turned her head away. "I wouldn't pay to save your life." Her voice let off a cruel laugh and her blue eyes shot back to him. "I would only pay you, if you were going to amuse me. In such ways, maybe kill yourself. That sounds wonderful." Her hand ran through her hair and she would walk towards the counter and door area. No real hurry in her legs while she simply let him do as he pleased. She didn't seem in the slightest, afraid of this man. Of course, she had slashed him violently with her tongue, but what did she care? He deserved it.

Her hand was still on her nose. The other thrust firmly at her side, she showed no regret towards her words. Did she actually hate this man that much? How amazing, that she could feel so strongly about anything. She wondered, if he would kill her now. An undignified death, it sounded like a sweet release.

"I wouldn't pay to save your life." Deity replied. She let a laugh escape her throat, before looking back to Pancake. "I would only pay you, if you were going to amuse me. In such ways, maybe kill yourself. That sounds wonderful."

Pancake's grin diminished slightly, his tentacles beginning to drop. His expression was one of awe. He couldn't believe that anyone was this ballsy to him, this brave and foolhardy. She was outright commanding that he die, and he was the one with the automail.

"Heh! You're dumber than shit, bitch!" He chuckled, before walking closer, the tentacles remaining at the same position. However, the closer he got, the smaller his grin got until he had only a scowl. Why wasn't she scared of him? How dare she wasn't scared of him! His thoughts only got darker and darker the closer he got. He was determined more than ever to make sure that if she ever saw him again, she cowered. He got as close as he could before he moved his hands to barge her into the cracked window behind her. He became so angry that he couldn't even concentrate on sticking to the Cretan language.

"You're going to fucking cry." He spat with a volatile hatred on his tongue, hoping that some gobule of spit struck her cheek before he did, before he drove his foot into her stomach.

Punctured Milk Cartons Empty Re: Punctured Milk Cartons

Post by Guest Sun May 27, 2012 10:40 pm

It was a day like any other--- Oh who was she kidding. There was nothing really normal about this particular day at all. She had hung upside down, hacked into a computer like that, got mistaken for some anime character called "The Black Rider" (she vaguely remembered hearing about it somewhere), and now she had given up trying to be at all normal looking in her black zip-up skin tight black combat suit. It looked rather sleek against her form since she wasn't wearing her belt of gadgets (it was in a compartment on her bike), a black helmet obstructing all of her features. Even the glass was tinted so her face couldn't be seen, though she could certainly see outside of it. She knew she would be heading off to Gelemorte relatively soon for another job and she could only imagine how THAT trip would go. Hopefully a lot smoother and less odd than today.

For now, she needed some quick groceries for her temp home in London and she might as well do it now even after her very interesting day. Parking her bike, she beeped the clicker once and slid the keys into pouch on her upper arm, not at all worried about anyone going after the custom looking bike since not all protective measures were obvious. Hardly. She didn't bother removing her helmet as she strode through the aisle's of the store with her cart, picking out some cans of soup, fruits and veggies, and-- Oh no. Why the hell was he here. Actually, better bloody question, why the hell were they BOTH here? This was a disaster waiting to happen, and she knew that the man would not hesitate to cause a scene in a public place. He must have slightly already given the milk that was dribbling down his chin. Bloody brilliant. The woman was already getting smacked around again by him, how WAS her ankle doing anyway?

"I would only pay you, if you were going to amuse me. In such ways, maybe kill yourself. That sounds wonderful." And now she was storming away. Rebecca knew this would not end well otherwise. Sure enough, Pancake was on a murder approach to Deity without any signs of stopping. She didn't have to see his face to know how angry he was becoming. The girl really knew how to pick her fights hm? Rebecca did not hesitate even as she heard the switch in languages, the creaking of the cracked glass, and the sound of contact as he kicked Deity in the stomach.

Seconds after he made contact with the girls body, Rebecca swung her helmet into the back of his head as hard as she dared to, the swing moving from right to left. "You still haven't learned your fucking manners." Her body was already in motion to dodge around his body and push Deity away and out of the scene. This was no place for her. Now in front and below Pancake, she bent her knee's and swung upwards in one of her crunching punches to his chin, her helmet still in her other hand. Her eyes were a blazing crimson as all humor had been lost, only focus and calm within them. "Moi bike is ou'soide girl, ge' to i'!" She called, realizing full well she would do a helluva lot better if she had her belt with her toys on her persons right now. Least she still had a couple she could use.

"Heh! You're dumber than shit, bitch!" His voice came to her mind. He was frowning now. Good, he deserved to have that smile wiped off his face. After all the shit he did, he needed a reality check. Unfortunately, it seemed he was still in his fantasy world. Amusing. He had backed her towards the glass and then sneered in Aerugese, "You're going to fucking cry."

She sneered, "I don't cry." She of course was practically in his face when he kicked her, not that she cared. Deity was tougher than she looked. She lost breath, tumbling back and rolling into the window from the sheer force. A hesitant and heavy breath made her shiver and she knew that her body would ache in the meanwhile. Her head hurt from lack of breath when she could finally breathe. Damn.. Her eyes went up to see something of a night in shining armor. That woman... again? Her eyes were wide. How did she- Why did she? Deity felt a new pain. A pang of guilt. This woman.. why did she keep saving her? It was unfair. Here she was trying to off herself in a roundabout way and a woman jumps in the fray to save her.

She was pushed away again. Weak.. I'm so... weak.. Her heart lurched and she could almost feel tears, but as she told that man, she didn't cry. Did she? Her blue eyes watched in wonder, barely hearing the woman's words, as she stood shakily. She still couldn't breathe well, but she was rather obedient. Going to the door, she went out of the store and found herself by the mobile. She assumed it was a bike, but she could only watch the battle from outside, her mind mentally blank on what to think.

(When you post in a thread as the wrong character X_X)

"I don't cry."

"No better time to start then now."

Before he could lay another strike, though, Pancake was clubbed on the back of the head. A wave of pain ran through his skull as he pulled his head forward, grunting ina blind rage and shooting out all of his tendrils in every direction he could, desperately looking for the assailant. Another fist to the jaw located them, though, and he growled. "GOT YOU!" He roared, pounding both his fists down in a double fisted hammer. He looked up and saw Deity trying to make her escape. "Oh no you fucking don't, you're mine!" One of his tentacles shot right to her leg, punching through the glass window just to get to her, trying to grip her and pull her right through the cracked window. The others were focused on pinning down his new attacker, their weight crashing down around him as Pancake himself scanned the floor, looking for the sharpest and biggest blade of glass that he could find. He scooped one up in his hand and whirled around to end the life of his attacker.

"AS FOR YOU, YOU BETTER FUCKING HOPE THAT... that... oh, it's you."

The lives of both Rebecca and Deity were probably saved by Pancake's appalling attention span; the moment he recognised Rebecca, a woman who, despite hating him, he had already decided was worth having as a friend of sorts, he let his arms and his tentacles drop lazily, every drop of his venomous anger evaporating as if nothing had happened. Immediately, Pancake switched to a much more casual tone, falling backwards and letting his tentacles support weight off the ground as if he was taking a seat. Reaching behind him, he grabbed a carton of orange juice and tossed it to Rebecca, opening one for himself and taking a sip. "What brings you here... umm... I never did catch your name at that shin-dig at the White House. Rosette or something like that? I don't fucking know."

"GOT YOU!"

Words shouted in the tongue that may have been her own native one slammed into ears shortly before his fists cracked down on her shoulder as she dodged too slowly to fully avoid the blow. Well... that and she had his bloody tendrils to worry about. They flailed the moment she had whacked him hard with her helmet, her hand tightening upon the helmet as if it were the last thing she had to cling onto for life. She merely gritted her teeth and straightened up to his right, ignoring the explosion of pain in her shoulder for the moment. But Deity had gotten outside and was by her bike. "Miranda, countermeasures..." She whispered just as those tendrils found her and kept her down.

"Already on it." The bike seemed to spring to life as extensions from the body came out and connected to each other, forming a shield up the side with succinct clicks. Rebecca, on the other hand, was now laying on the floor, her right hand limp with the helmet beside her on the floor, guessing that he may have dislocated her shoulder. She couldn't quite tell, but it certainly hurt like a bitch. Her left hand was moving ever so slightly, fingers reaching down to the base of her thumb for that one pressure button that would trigger a gun in the wrist of her suit. She would shoot him if that shard of glass he now held moved any closer to her. "AS FOR YOU, YOU BETTER FUCKING HOPE THAT... that... oh, it's you."

And that was what she did not expect. For the instant calm that came over him as he recognized her from the party that he had trashed so easily. A single dark eyebrow raised as the tendrils moved off of her, allowing her to sit up and crack her shoulder back into alignment. OW MOTHER--- She hissed as an expression of pain and relief swam in varying tides over her features before settling on a calm one, now staring at Doc Oc. Pushing herself up, she picked up her helmet and glanced to her bike, nodding once as the shield lowered from around Deity. "What brings you here... umm... I never did catch your name at that shin-dig at the White House. Rosette or something like that? I don't fucking know." She gave a thumbs up to Deity before turning just in time to catch the carton that got tossed at her. Catching things one handed is difficult. "Hones'ly? I wos jus shoppin. No joke. Trouble follows you friend, moight want ta look into 'at." She answered, placing the carton down on the ground next to her. She had no intention of following his mannerisms. "The name is Morgana for future reference."

With that, she strode towards the window a bit and called out to Deity, " 'e's calmed down now if you wan' to come back in. Otherwise," the bike suddenly started up next to her, engine revving and ready to go, "moi bike will take you wherever you need to go. Dun worry abou' i', alroigh'?" She smirked and winked at the woman, turning back to start trying to deal with damage control thanks to Pancake's endeavors. There was no way he would get her real name, an alias would do fine.

"Oh no you fucking don't, you're mine!"

Deity tensed by the bike. the tendrils came towards her; wanting to hurt her and she instantly felt more useless. How weak she was, it irritated her. really, she was just a thornless flower and this man could have killed her, if it weren't for Rebecca, again. She needed a protector? It wasn't fair. Deity wanted to be strong.. to not need protecting. It wasn't fair! Why couldn't she be strong like this woman? Her heart hurt, she felt hollow. So weak.. you can't fight.. The voice in her head, it taunted her and made fun of her weakness. Depression that glued to her very bones.

"'e's calmed down now if you wan' to come back in. Otherwise, moi bike will take you wherever you need to go. Dun worry abou' i', alroigh'?" Deity could mostly understand her beneath the thick accent. She nodded and decided to stay. The woman deserved that much. Her body slid off of the bike and hesitantly she walked into the store. Her eyes on Pancake as she bit her lip and spoke something she never thought she would say. "What I said was out of line." As close to an apology as he was going to get. Though it wasn't that she didn't mean it, it was just that she didn't want him to have the gratification of an apology.

She turned back to Rebecca and the woman bowed her head and then her whole body. "I-I'm so sorry. I seem to cause nothing but trouble to you." She would make herself suffer for this later. "First at the white house, now here. truly, I am uselesss. Thank you for helping me again." She had to bite back the tears she felt. Useless, the voice mocked her. "By the way, my name is Deity Silver. I never got to properly introduce myself."

"Hones'ly? I wos jus shoppin. No joke. Trouble follows you friend, moight want ta look into 'at." The woman said to Pancake, who grinned on those last words. Trouble follows you was more like a compliment than anything else. You're causing a lot of damage, well done sir.

"I know it does. It's meant to." He answered in a tone somewhere between joking fun and pure malice. 'Morgana' turned around and summoned Deity once again, who Pancake glared at the moment she walked in. Behind his back, Inky began to curl around a huge blade of glass, but Pancake waited. The woman hesitated in her step, and her body was tense. Now he was interested. Had he finally got through and frightened her? It wouldn't surprise him. He was, in his own opinion, a terrifying individual.

"What I said was out of line." And there it was. Pancake's eyes lit up as another smile went straight to his face. Glaring directly into her eyes, he rose the knife-like glass shard casually.

"Not wrong there." He replied, before he flung the glass spear straight into a carton of milk. The liquid spurted and spluttered, the carton falling apart as white milk flowed out and onto the floor. The message was pretty clear, though Pancake looked only more casual as the orange juice met his lips; only half of it went into his mouth, the rest around and onto his chest as he messily glugged his drink. He finally stopped, before looking back to 'Morgana' and remembering what he had realised at the party.

"Morgana's not a very Xingese name, is it?" He asked, wiping his lips with his arm. "What made you leave?"

"I know it does. It's meant to." Ugh. How in the world had he ended up in the military anyways? He caused about as much damage as someone that she was often sent to lock up. Not team up with. Deity returned back into her view as she stepped back inside the store, her bike returning to an off setting since no one would be using it immediately. She strode away for a hot moment to grab some pain killers, tossing a bill to the pharmacy woman behind the counter before striding back over to the pair. Had it been wise to leave them alone? She had no idea, but it wasn't like she had gone far. Opening the bottle was a little bit difficult since her one shoulder was still throbbing painfully, popping one of the Aleve without a drink. Hey, she had at least paid for her things beforehand.

The woman was turning to her now as she returned, "I-I'm so sorry. I seem to cause nothing but trouble to you. First at the white house, now here. truly, I am uselesss. Thank you for helping me again." Rebecca chuckled and shook her head, holding up her good hand to wave it away. "Darling, you 'ave no idea wot I do for a livin. 'is? 'is is nothin. No need to bea' yerself up for i'." She answered her, glancing to the fresh carton of milk that Pancake had demolished with that shard of glass. "By the way, my name is Deity Silver. I never got to properly introduce myself." Rebecca turned her crimson eyes back to Deity and bowed her head in greeting, a small smirk forming upon her lips. "Morgana Moncrieff. A pleasure to meet you Deity." Deity Silver. She would remember that name, and she didn't need to ask Edi to know that she was already checking up on everyone currently involved. She was an AI, she was going to do what she did regardless of what Rebecca said for the most part.

"Morgana's not a very Xingese name, is it?" Oh right, he was still there. Her body turned as she faced him now, wondering which backstory she should go with at this point. Meh, any of them would work really. "What made you leave?" "Well ya see, moi parents 'ad a job offer in Creta years ago so 'ere I am. Go'a love tha'." She forced herself to shrug slightly, managing not to wince despite the pain.

Punctured Milk Cartons Empty Re: Punctured Milk Cartons

Post by Guest Fri Jun 08, 2012 12:40 pm

As soon as she walked in, she could feel eyes piercing her. It seemed her distaste was mutual. She despised him, he hated her. They both got what they wanted in a way. Deity got someone to be angry at and release some of her pent up anger, while he, he got someone to harass. The man was better off dead, in her eyes. If it weren't for the fact that woman was there, it would have been likely of Deity to start up with Pancake again. His smug fucking face and that cocky grin. Oh how it pissed her off to no end. If she could produce toxins from the rage she felt, everyone in the store would die. However her face portrayed nothing but minor discomfort.

"Not wrong there."
Her eye twitched and she turned her head to him, falling for the trap of provocation. "Excuse me?" I do believe YOU were out of line too. Who do you think you ARE?! Standing here in a store, tearing up the place like YOU own it. You know these people PAY to keep these places up and running and here you are short of pissing on all their hard-earned money. But I guess that is something foreign to you, since you seem to just take what you want anyways. I don't understand how something such as YOU could work in the military. Her body shook with anger. Why couldn't she stand up for herself? Her eyes stole daggers into him. She hated this man, her speech in her head and just begging to be unleashed upon the bastard. She wanted to scream, but she swallowed it back.

Her voice had come from a little snarl as she slowly remembered Morgana was there. Of course that wasn't all she had to say, but Deity shut her trap, knowing Morgana would be the one to take the brunt of her anger. Shaking so much with anger, she felt herself tearing up. DAMN! She cursed, biting back the angry and bitter drops. She couldn't control herself around this man. What RIGHT did he have to make these decisions? He broke so many rules! He was a law officer and he was breaking rules. As if to enforce her raging mind, he stole another milk carton as causally as taking a stroll. Rage. Deity wanted to hurt him. Smack him hard across the mouth, but instead, she tried calming herself. A bird had no beauty when her feathers were ruffled.

Besides, he was just like a bully, so she decided to do something that probably would piss him off to no end. She ignored him completely. She acted as if he wasn't there and looked only at Morgana. There was no malice in the air, no angry posture. For those around her, they would of seen a rather angry glare and then, she was calm, apathetic and unfeeling. Pretending the man was invisible certainly made her feel a lot better. She had nothing to say for the moment, but simply managed a simplistic smile at Morgana. The conversation did not pertain to her, so she had no input.

"Well ya see, moi parents 'ad a job offer in Creta years ago so 'ere I am. Go'a love tha'."

"Right." Pancake mumbled, decidedly unimpressed by that answer. Really, not many stories beyond Victorian romance or things with explosions impressed him, but 'Morgana' did not seem like a woman who'd simply move from one country to the next on the whim of a job promise. However, the believability didn't concern him, but more the boredom of it.

"So... what? That's it?" He asked. "I mean, that's boring. You could've made shit up for all I cared so long as I was interested." He sighed dejectedly, taking another gulp from his orange juice. The energy was already leaving him. He wasn't doing anything, and when nothing happened, he lost the adreneline that fuelled his body. Laziness overcame him as his eyelids got heavier and heavier, and he got more and more docile, his tentacles drooping down and his makeshift seat slumping him back further and further in.

"I mean, I could say that the fucking slint-eyes army dudes kicked me out of the country because my so-called 'discipline issues' but it's not an exciting story, Morgana." Pancake explained irritably. His Xingese, though, sounded as if he was a complete native of Xing; indistinguishable from Ace Aeries himself.
