Except the fact that it was neither Shangai nor it was noon. Actually, this was Xi'an and it was deep after midnight yet dawn was still far away. In these times of night, the unexpected could happen for the night has it's own denizens who usually doesn't dwell within the reign of light. This is the underworld and there is no need to tell how those denizens do to appease the dark deities of night. But the lady in black and white had there a business to attend.

The local triads were ever vengeful and there eyes watchful to the invasion coming down from the west, they were creatures almost like them in shape and tone of skin, still with all these similarities, loyalties varied. The outsiders are the infamous Yamaguchi-gumi, here they did come to establish a long well planed presence. But the triads had another opinion, so blood was spilled.

Tomoe was sent to bolster the xingese front thanks for her ability of speaking what was considered there as native. As a middle rank officer within the organization that is written in three katakana symbols as 'Ya-Ku-za' was ordered to storm a certain warehouse with the aid of some underlings to swift and true annihilate all who was there. Those who were to be killed were accused of crippling the yakuza's advance and were found guilty.

The plan was simple, strike them the least where they would expect. Deep in their territory and home base of operations. With selected few under her command and some from the inside that aerugese vixen was able to buy through cash, sweet words and promises of power, the midnight assault would begin.

Somewhere, at the back doors of the huge warehouse...

I need to piss.. someone said in xingese, how he looked like was completely irrelevant. Simply an anonymous triad member signaling his comrade to watch out in his place. Taking some steps where he can get rid of the hazardous material, he found the right spot in a dark alley and readied himself. But before he would unbutton, he heard a faint step just almost slightly away to his side. His turned around to find from the little light of the moon would offer, a woman dressed mostly in black. This lady had two noticeable features about her that the anonymous triad member quickly recognized.

A mask of a kitsune hiding the perpetrator's face and a suppressed gun pointed at him. A single silenced *pup* went almost unheard, he would remember no more. The lady in black and white continued forward slowly while her comrades quickened their pace leaving their commander behind who took a detour. Tomoe needed to take care of the sentry guard the guy with irrelevant description in his stead left behind. And there was another *pup*

Ten minutes later, Gunshots would be heard emanating from the warehouse echoing throughout the whole district.

It had begun.

Xiao was tired. T-I-R-E-D, tired. As in, wanted to go to sleep. But instead he was here. Ugh. He had spent the last few nights up late because Zao had come down with a cold. Nanny Qiu had been kind of enough to take longer hours during the day to watch him, but Xiao still had nighttime care duties. Which that meant if Zao was up crying, Xiao was up as well. Zao finally seemed to be on the mend, and Xiao had been quite looking forward to sleeping through an entire night... and through much of the next morning. Yet that had not been the case. Xiao had been asked by the police of Xi'an to assist with an operation. There had been movement amongst the Triad recently; the informants had heard rumors of the Yakuza from Aerugo moving in. Having the Triad causing problems was bad enough... but a turf war? Unacceptable.

So that was why Xiao was NOT in bed sleeping. Instead he was sitting in the back of a van, tightening the straps on his bulletproof vest. He had decided against his imperial guard uniform, merely wearing all black with the vest. He had guns resting on each side of his hips, and a shotgun slung across his back. His hookpak was between his thighs as he sat, just itching to start smashing people. The instructions were simple. Word had come that the Yakuza were planning to roll out their turf war. Tonight. It was going to go down in an area held by the Triad. The rest of the information had been scarce. The van doors were opened and the team pushed out, gathering together in a small huddle. Xiao was not by any means leading the operation, but they all glanced at him momentarily for words of encouragement. Apparently his actions in Drachma had made him something of a local hero. Ugh. He smiled at all of them for a moment. “This is a cut-and-dry situation. Go in, grab who you can, whether they be Triad or Yakuza. Then get out. And try not to get shot.

They were finishing getting their final details from the team leader when the muffled sound of gunfire started to the south. Guns were readied and they moved quickly towards the sound, coming upon a warehouse. In an alley they passed was a dead body, clearly a Triad henchmen. Orders were reissued and various teams moved around the warehouse, awaiting the signal. Xiao stood with three other men, waiting. In a matter of moments they would get the order. Then they would join the party that had clearly started without them.

As expected, the local security forces arrived. Tomoe told her men to keep their eyes peeled if law enforcers came into their sight, and ordered them as well to push forward to the north opposite to the south where the xingese imperial guards began their campaign. Thanks to their limited numbers and those defectors lured in by her sweet words who knew the area well.

And so in ordinance with the new developments, Tomoe gave her command to pass through catwalks and pathways undetected to get behind the triads applying the sandwich effect. With Law enforcement going all out from the south and Yakuza sniping them up from the north. Once she dealt with the triads, she would issue a withdrawal command and go puff in not time since killing cops is a very bad blood and business.

However unknown to her, there was this one who is to be considered a local hero thanks to his efforts in Drachma. Probably, he has another say on this but regardless. Tomoe headed north in all stealth and such. Probably Xiao would notice that woman in black wearing a white mask for just a small glance to disappear from his sight once again behind boxes within the warehouse, still he would recognize others of her underlings took a separate path as a strategy to bewilder their opponents while the triad all int he middle receiving punishment.

Things were pretty hectic.

And there was the signal! Getting into the warehouse was... easy. Way too easy. The fight was moving up the warehouse. There were some bodies, alive and dead of various triad members. Hand signals were issued and the troops went into motion. Some went to the injured triad members, getting them up and out of the warehouse. Medical help first, then prison. Others moved forward into the sounds of gunfire, Xiao and his team with them. Some groups appeared to be... on the run? Triad members seemed to be scattered all around the warehouse and occasionally Xiao spotted what he could only assume were yakuza members. The yakuza seemed to be steadily moving in one direction, some triad members within the ranks. Xiao couldn't resist a quiet, dark chuckle. No honor amongst thieves, eh? Yet the yakuza were not trying to initiate gunfire with any of the law enforcement. It was almost like they were distinctly avoiding them. Another strange thought.

As Xiao was pondering this occurrence, a flash of white caught his eye in the darkness. He could've sworn... a... fox? What the eff? Whatever or whoever the flash of white had been, it was not moving in the same direction as the yakuza members. Which seemed considerably sketchy to Xiao and he quickly motioned to the three men with him. They fell in silently behind him as he began to trail after the white-masked figure. One man dropped off to go after some triads and Xiao recognized the clear shot of his man's gun, followed by a screech of pain. One down. Many, many more to go. As they trailed after the figure, Xiao sincerely hoped that the troops would manage to pick up at least one yakuza member. They could question triads all they wanted but they wouldn't be able to find out anything about this raid if they didn't grab a yakuza. Which is what Xiao intended to do. The flash of white appeared again in between some boxes and Xiao noticed one of his mates raising his gun to fire. Xiao quickly shook his head. It wasn't a clear enough shot yet. And so the hunt continued, Xiao waiting for the opportune moment of free space to take out the mysterious figure.

The law enforcement was pretty systematic in their breach and entry and that was expected by the aerugese vixen for she only put in mind worst cases possible. Surely, she felt of a new guest called 'trouble' trying to halt her plans and put them into a stop. Of course, yet she didn't know who he was, the man leading the assault in all firing glory to pacify and reprimand, seize and repent both criminal powers for all of their committed sins. For mainly, it was ambition and the vying for power.

She concluded that they would be some sort of special task force trained to contain and neutralize immediate threats, that were her thoughts in her flight as each of her guns spoke in carnage and death, and all was evident by the triad members falling like flies around her. However, her kitsune-like instincts told her that she was followed and more importantly she that close to be shot at. It was time to cut the chase, their chase and break free from a would be tenacious tracker.

She didn't turn around or rather she didn't even think about it. Instead her black pearl eyes shifted quickly between all her surroundings in a quest to find a convenient obstacle that would hinder the path of those who followed. Looking upwards, she found a crane with a container connected to it through a well made chain. The xingese who stands always tall towering most of them xingese would see the slightly shorter assailant in her black and white raising her hands up aiming for the mentioned chain. And all what was needed were two magnum bullets shot at the right places for the container to fall. She timed it well as she rolled forward, and for a very quick glance she would turn around to take a peek on her tracker only for her vision to obscured by the formed ridge in a second later, the container that fell in a very cinematic manner.

Oh! from such a rather quick glance, her mangaka talents kicked in and noticed that both of them, she and him shared the midnight hues of darkened skies and brightened full moon. But she didn't dwell on it for she had a train to catch or a law enforcement to flee.

The raven haired xingese had to improvise and resume the chase lest the trail grows cold.

DAMN, this person was fast! Xiao's feet pounded steadily against the ground as he darted back and forth through the boxes, noticing the line of bloodied triad members that the fox-face left behind. He radioed in, indicating that there were some triad dead and still alive members who would need to be properly taken care of. He had to direct another of his men to start doing the task, so now only two others remained pounding the pavement behind him. The fox kept coming into range and then darting back into the darkness, making it very difficult for anyone to get a clear shot. Talk about fucking frustrating.

And fucking frustrating didn't even cut it. Xiao watched as a crane loomed out of the darkness, a huge container hanging over them. He saw the dark figure pause and heard the gun fire twice. It all appeared to be happening in slow motion. “MOVE NOW!” Xiao shouted, shoving at his two compatriots to back up. Xiao himself dropped down and got behind a stack of boxes, fast. The container went down with a huge crash and as soon as the dust settled, Xiao was up. He cursed loudly as he saw that his path towards the dark figure was now closed. He glanced around quickly and with a grim smile, secured his hookpak and shotgun on his back. And up he went over the boxes, earning a great view of the dimly lit warehouse as he reached the top. And there the little figure was, running away again. This time, however, Xiao had the advantage. He gauged the long line of heavy containers out in front of him. Slinging the shotgun off his back, he started to run, leaping across the spaces between boxes. He was gaining ground again and as the fox loomed closer in his vision, he prepared his gun and let a shot fire, directly over the fox's left shoulder. Hitting them wasn't exactly his goal at this point, so much as getting them moving in a direction he wanted.

The obstacle made proved half useful or actually not useful at all for it didn't hinder the law enforcer's leader from pushing forward instead it helped him gain a moving vantage point as he changed locations from the above having a clear sight on the aerugese vixen. With a shotgun in hand, he signaled her forcefully to go where he wanted.

Tomoe's kitsune instincts didn't reach it's full potential yet so she didn't feel the danger of being locked at, yet she was pretty the lucky woman. As Xiao targeted the upper left of her shoulder with his shotgun and pulled the trigger spreading small balls of steel propagating through the media of air.

Unlike to what is most of believed about shotguns for having a short distance, actually on the contrary to that, shotguns are not that short sighted. This hit if connected, probably it would have killed her but for a reason, it didn't. If he felt that what happened before was annoying and rather frustrating, then he would need to see what was going to happen next.

One of those triad members leaping at her from her left side from an intersection of corridors boarded by warehouse shelves and boxes. she was still perceptive for those who may flank her. Naturally, out of reflex she dodged away from harm's way while aiming at that plunging adversary only to see whatever who he was being pounded by a shotgun shell.

How lucky!

Xiao succeeded in his endeavor and Tomoe ran away again from him fleeing an unwanted confrontation to his wanted direction noticing that she was still followed with being unaware of his plans.

SONOFABITCH. Xiao kept the curse in his head as he saw that while Fox-Face had taken the bait to his little game of “follow the bouncing bullets,” he had ended up pounding his shell into a triad member. Not exactly what he had in mind by any means, but he didn't have much of a choice. Xiao had the feeling that while the police were finding a lot of triad members, they probably weren't finding many yakuza. And they needed some of those too. It would help to know WHY the Aerugese crime group had felt the need to infiltrate Xing. As the triads were no longer chummy with the yakuza, they wouldn't be getting many good answers from them. And so Xiao decided that this Fox-Face would be the best best. It was time to continue the game.

Xiao kept the gun in his hand this time as he began the run across the boxes again. As he gained on Fox-Face again, he paused in his strides to raise his shotgun. This time it was a shot over her right shoulder, twisting her in another direction. He kept this up, occasionally shooting towards her on one side of the other. He did mix it up, sometimes shooting at her feet or legs. But he watched as she gradually moved towards his ultimate corner. There was an empty corner that was relatively desolate of anyone. He had radioed in to indicate where he was added. With any success, he was leading Fox-Face into a corner where she would then be surrounded by troops. Here goes nothing!

Certainly, he was persistent in his hunt and that really irritated her but not to no end for she is cool minded and quite natural at that. Knowing very well that she was hunted from elevated ground and was directed to the grim unknown. Indeed, that one with the raven hair messed her plans still not that much. The triad had been taken care of and her underlings probably were fleeing the scene and she was sure that they would execute her orders diligently and her commandments were as follows..

Don't wait for me if I was late and kill the triad traitors for the yakuza has no place for them. they were pretty simple to understand and the Aerugese vixen made sure they were perfectly relayed since there was this chance of things going awry and it surly did thanks to the Xingese hero of the Drachman war.

The monochromatic lady didn't think much about the possibility of returning fire with fire as she wasn't there to fight the local forces to begin with, not to mention that pointing a gun against law enforcement is considered a major offense and killing one would lead to the phenomena of bad blood, black blood.

So, she decided to surrender but under her own terms, terms that would give her some time that hopefully would give the rest of yakuza members the time to get to a safe haven and for hers somehow to plan an escape. As the Xingese hero let the kyodai dance on the music of firing bullets, she tilted up a bit her mask for her jaw to appear as her hands were occupied untying her white ribbon. Between this box and that where she gained a temporary sanctuary, Tomoe used her teeth and ribbon to hold and clean her guns grips and pull trigger out of fingerprints to leave them behind in random places. Doing the same to the other gun and semi-same to her other weaponry along the coarse directed by a shotgun muzzle, she became clean..

At the last checkpoint, she threw her mask into the hiding when she was sure there was no visual contact between the two as she did before. The lady in black and white found herself standing in front a battalion with their guns ready for an execution. Raising her arms crossed behind her head in surrender and on her knees she remembered that one word..

Busted.

It was working! Well, dammmn! Xiao risked a grin as he watched his game work. Occasionally he would lose Fox-Face and noticed that every time she appeared back into his vision, she was without an object. And then another. And then another. Strange, to be sure. Xiao made a mental note to have a team sweep through after this to gather everything. Evidence was evidence, even if she was doing something strange with it. And then... the trap was sprung! Fox-Face was surrounded! Xiao let another grin pass over his face as he slung his rifle over his back and climbed nimbly down the boxes to the concrete floor. He entered into the ring of police and looked down at Fo-... well, Fox-Face was a girl. Interesting. Xiao wasn't all that surprised but it definitely felt nice to have a confirmation of the gender of the person he had been chasing since this raid had begun.

Xiao glanced over at the leader of the team, raising an eyebrow. He gestured coolly at the woman. He didn't feel the need to speak, it was obvious. Handcuffs were the way to go now. The burly captain smiled at Xiao and gestured to him, bowing slightly. Oh. WELL. Apparently Xiao got to rightfully claim his prize... or whatever. He extended his hand and the captain handed him a shining pair of handcuffs. Shrugging his shoulders he went up to face the woman for a moment. “Well, little fox. It appears your under arrest. Please cooperate.” He moved behind her, slipping one cuff over one wrist, then the other. As he heard the lock of the cuffs snap shut he let slip a small breath. Hopefully this would be the end of it and he could go home.

Handcuffs..

Oh, yes. Handcuffs and the police force are two things that the lady in black and white who cleansed herself from every weapon of sins really hated. Truth to be told since there was this little tiny lie to the previous statement, The fox-face as commander Xiao kept referring her as, really resented law enforcement because they stick their noses into the business of others trying to stop things that can go just that normally. Indeed, she killed but she killed scum and trash of the Xingese society. They were supposed to give her a prize - and not to present herself as such - for her dedicated work of selfless acts - absolutely not - and preparing the world to become a better place by such community service full of valor. Yes, the world would become better under the banner of the yakuza and most importantly within the reign of the awesome entity, the under boss who is still leading it.

If you didn't figure it yet out, the world has booked up it's one way ticket to hell, Dun-da-daah. Regardless, no one forgot about the lie eh? Ah, yes. She doesn't resent or hate handcuffs. Actually, she was astonished that such accessory could be very restrictive yet still looking - for the wicked - like a decorative bracelet of sorts, metal and shiny.

However, she was presented as a prize like the days of slavery where the Xingese commander who looked like her in someways and in someways not would claim her. Oh, slanders and lies. “Well, little fox. It appears your under arrest. Please cooperate.” she chuckled to that. The reason behind that, that if she resisted, she would enjoy a bullet shower from the execution squad around her so seriously she had no choice but to do what she was told..at such current moment.

Oh, Police officer. I didn't do anything.. her doll-like face kept it's emotionless facade without reflecting anything, though her tone of voice was saying 'I am lying but you are welcome to prove me wrong'. Probably, Commander Xiao or whatever his rank was, would lead her to the police station or whatever they called it in Xing for being locked up or early interrogation.

OOC: Ok, since part one of what is happening in my mind ended. Csi, there are variety of options you have while putting in consideration the coming mission.
1-You can now accompany her to the police station for interrogation.
2-You can do the same as 1 however in a new thread after the end of the upcoming mission.
3-You can end it all here with Xiao going to his home for a nice sleep however *Grins in all mischief* I will RP my tomoe running away and be awesome XD.

I shall RP accordingly according to you decision.

Oh police officer. I didn't do anything.

Xiao guffawed internally, his exterior facade in its usual phase of indifferent seriousness. Yeah, right. If she didn't do anything, than HE was the Emperor. Which was most definitely untrue. She let herself get captured very easily and without a struggle. It was odd. He also suspected that this small woman knew a lot more about this yakuza raid than she would ever let on. Hell, she could be the mastermind behind the also fiasco. But that wasn't something Xiao really wanted to dwell on. He tugged at the cuffs, indicating that she should stand. After she had, he checked the handcuffs one more time to be secure. He gestured for a couple of the police officers to take up the guard of her as he stepped away. “Keep an eye on her. She looks slippery.

Xiao chatted quietly with the commander has Tomoe was led away to a secure vehicle outside of the warehouse. Apparently she was, in fact, they only yakuza they had caught. They had managed to get a few triad members but all of them had been injured, and the majority were dead. Apparently this wasn't just a meeting gone wrong. The yakuza had intended to wipe out the triad in this warehouse, for some reason or another. He shook the commander's hand for a job well done, considering the circumstances. He also brushed off the gushing thanks for capturing a yakuza. All Xiao wanted to do was get out of this warehouse, see Fox-Face successfully put into a cell for the night and then he wanted to go home. He wanted to talk on Xiao and then sleep for the next three days. Or until his alarm went off at 7:30, telling him it was time to get up and go to his day job. He really needed to learn how to say no to people asking for help. But what can a guy do? He was only asked because he was good at what he does.

[EXIT THREAD]

[[I think it's fair to say to end this thread here, since the mission is coming up. I'm leaving it up to you if you want Tomoe to flee or not. I'm not sure if you want to turn this yakuza/triad thing into a bigger plot movement later. So she can stay in the cells until a thread post-mission, or she can flee. Your call!]]

OOC: Domo arigatou gozaimasu for your courtesy. But I am a gamer who believes in multiple endings to given actions, I must give a 'haha' here. Thanks very much for the nice thread and good luck to you in the mission ^^

IC:

She can feel the odd looking accessories which had the same shape of bracelets locked into her wrists making it rather difficult and restricting to move around her arms so that it would be nearly impossible to do so. Mr. Xiao mentioned that she was quite slippery. Well, she takes a shower everyday with the most expensive of lotions and shampoos, the lady in black and white didn't really know that her skin was that silky where she can free herself easily from the handcuffs. Of course, those thoughts were just a parody of the situation and probably would be used in her manga as a sort of a joke.

Tomoe didn't resist and continued her cunning act of being slippery in her own way, she was guided to the nearby law enforcement vehicle and from there directly delivered to her cell where she would have her handcuffs removed eventually. And, she did nothing more, just having a nap on the bed quite reassured that she would be out before dawn.

Why?

Simply due to the fact that the Yakuza is an organization. All what she needed to do was to keep her lips sealed and spread some lies about how she was kidnapped and was trying to flee from that deadly warehouse. Meanwhile, one of the 'saiko-komon' or rather the administrators would send a lawyer to bail her out simultaneously as another kyoudai was instructed to get back her weapons back by means underhanded. No evidence, no crime. At same time, some people were bribed. With such teamwork of several elements of deception and intrigue combined. Tomoe was found innocent in no time, only to find herself in an airplane shipping her back to Aerugo and mostly importantly with her favorite ramen ready for the eating.

Quite lady luck, she is. In the end, she didn't do anything though she did a lot and logic wise, Xiao became somehow the emperor. Regardless, the mangaka would remember Xiao as someone to avoid or..
