DESCRIPTION:
→ Born as a half-blood of both Amestrian and Aerugese bloodlines, Minoru none the less take incredibly much after his mother Kaiko in appearance. except for his hazel brown eyes, it is only when you begin to compare his features with those of a pure blood Amestrian or a pure blood Aerugese that you begin to see the differences. Standing at but one hundred and seventy one centimetres of length and sixty one kilograms of weight, Minoru is both shorter than the average Amestrian and slightly taller than the average Aerugese person. His short, black hair is obviously Aerugese, as is his skin tone and the features of his face, a narrower chin, semi-high cheekbones, eyes that are a bit slanted and a bit less distinguished nose, and so on. If one takes the time to study these features they can see subtle hints of Amestrian blood, the features are a bit rougher and more marked than they typically are, enough to see them as a clear outlier but only upon the second, perhaps third glance. The only clear mark of his Amestrian blood is the hazel colour of his iris, much too light brown for an Aerugese person.

Minoru's body is built, honed, around full body agility and a strange quickness and stamina attained through his mother's training. The training of his father has left its mark on Minoru's upper torso and arms. The arms, shoulders, and wrists clearly carry more muscle than normal when compared to, for example, the legs, the mark of countless hours training with Freya's incredible kick.

When off-duty and dressing very casually Minou tends to wear simple jeans, sneaks, an often times white, long sleeved shirt and a casual vest. If it is cold he may also wear a jacket, typically leather in make. When being not quite that casual he tends to dress up a bit fancier, leather shoes, , shirt and a bit more formal type of a vest, usually under a button-up tunic that resembles the black tunic with gold trim that he wears as an on-duty member of Security, only different in colour and having a slightly different style.

When on duty Minoru wears the black and gold uniform of Security. Black leather jackboots with gold coloured trimmings and black heavy duty pants with suspenders. The harness for Freya, Amaterasu, and Siegfried's Dagger is worn over these pants, perfect for holstering Freya at the right leg and Amaterasu at the left one. A white shirt and a black vest is worn on the torso, specially designed to allow for the harness for Freya, Amaterasu, and Siegfried's Dagger to be correctly worn, underneath said clothing. Over this Minoru wears the black and gold tunic of Security. The heavy duty belt he wears around his waist supports an assortment of ammunition bags and is a part of the speedloader contraption that Minoru uses to quickly reload his weapons when need be.

PERSONALITY:
→ Born with the physical features of the natives of Aerugo Minoru was oft bullied in school. His mother Kaiko soon taught him how to handle the feelings this teasing brought, the pain and the anger, teaching him how to handle and work through his feelings. But despite the rapid intervention from his mother the beginning of what Minoru would become had its groundwork laid here, in the early years when Minoru attended public school.

Trained in arts not typical for a child to know it was one of the few ways that Minoru could spend quality time with his parents. As such he has learned to correlate joy and a sense of security to the act of gun maintenance and never really learned to connect to other kids even though he turned out to be the king of hide and seek. Where other kids played sports Minoru would be practising with firearms, and where they learned about computers and TV he would in turn be doing physical exercises to hone his balance. But despite the strange way he was raised Minoru learned to respect his parents and honour them, his love for them only growing. This is what made the blow of losing his father so incredibly taxing to his emotional well being, even if the effects were not visible to Minoru or even his mother. The fact that he had just recently before this decided to end a potential relationship with the person who could only be described as perfect for him did not help things. Having ended the budding relationship with Amity to not shame his parents Minoru only further galvanized his want to do well by his mother and the memory of his father after Franz's death.

Determined to follow orders and receive honour through the military in a perhaps misguided attempt at appeasement to his dead father, Minoru grew colder and more sadistic. Where he had been a child who, all things considered, could enjoy being around people similar to himself and at least try to have fun he began to delve further into training. Entering the army Minoru went to great lengths to fashion himself into a weapon of Amestris, displaying sadism, a revelry for battle, but also a sense of discretion for when situations were delicate, as his life as a soldier required.

But understand the man correctly. He can make jokes, even though his humour borders a bit on the macabre and acerbic side of things. He has a code of personal honour that he follows as far as he can, making his dislike of orders that go against it very clear but not going so far as to refuse the orders. He is a very competitive person when it comes to marksmanship and takes great pride in the skill he has achieved so far. He tends to steer away from large amounts of alcohol as this brings up the fact that he hates the compromising man he has become, he knows that his father would not like what he does; setting personal rules aside to better serve his country.

→ Minoru still holds rather strong feelings for Amity as that is the only woman he has managed to form a truly deep and romantic connection with. They are in fact so strong that if not for his own iron clad will not to further shame his family, he would definitely try and hook up with her. Yet he denies this part of himself, letting it show as extreme protectiveness when it comes to Amitys emotional health. Hurt her and Minoru will hurt you.

HISTORY:
→ Born in a small village in eastern Amestris, Minoru was brought up by his parents Franz and Kaiko. Franz had been a distinguished marksman in the Amestrian army who retired due to a fragmentation wound in his right thigh that he had gained in a small border with Aerugo. Kaiko was a former Aerugese ninja who had fled her country shortly failing a mission, making it appear as if she was dead. She was also considered "permanently retired" in that the injuries to her spine that she gained during her escape would prevent her from ever displaying the required flexibility and agility for being a ninja ever again.

Growing up in such a small community, a lot of self-sufficiency was required. In order to help them hunt for the occasional deer, and to protect him from the world should he ever leave the village, Franz began to teach his son the art of marksmanship when Minoru was but aged seven years. As Minoru grew older he would eventually be allowed to shoot with Freya, the powerful custom gun that Franz had used during his service. A few years after his marksmanship training, Minoru began to learn how to centre himself and deal with his feelings as a step of Keiko's to help him overcome the teasing his very Aerugese looks earned him at the local school. Even though the young half-Amestrian, half-Aerugese boy was teased so much that he could barely do his school work, his grades did not slip except for in the beginning thanks to the Eidetic memory he developed at eight years of age.

The other fields of study for Minoru, excluding the standard Amestrian education, was Aerugese, acrobatics, marksmanship and a rudimentary knowledge of fighting agilely. All in all, Minoru was taught the martial art of ninjutsu by his mother, but seeing that her spinal injury prevented much of the practical teaching, Minoru never gained a proper knowledge of how to use ninjutsu in close combat except for dodging. Instead he was taught how to move silently, hide, and to properly balance himself. Once Franz died, helping to repel a Drachman raid shortly after Minoru's fifteenth birthday, the boy would go to great lengths to try and incorporate the usage of guns and marksmanship with what he knew of ninjutsu.

Whilst Franz was still alive, little less than a year before the man's death, he took his family with him to visit some relatives in Creta. They stayed for a week and three days, and when Minoru "fled" the house to explore and find something to do he met a girl. Amity and Minoru had very much in common, both being gun-nuts and outcasts in certain ways. Over the five days that he met up with Amity Minoru quickly came to like the older girl. On the sixth day, the day when he planned to confess that he wanted to take things beyond friendship, and from the signs he had barely noticed she seemed to want something similar, Minoru saw a photography that had previously been hidden behind a column of Deity's, his second cousin, school books. Shock an revulsion filled the teenager when he found out that Amity and him were related by blood on their father's side. Knowing that his family had it tough because of him Minoru had promised himself to not bring further shame on the family. The fact that he had planned to meet Amity at the lake with incestuous intentions, no matter how unknowing he had been at the time, caused Minoru to remain almost locked in the guest room he used for the rest of the day.

It was an incredibly awkward conversation that happened two days after the planned confession when Amity and her Uncle, the man she at the time lived with, met in her childhood home. Minoru's heart hardened slightly after the experience, growing colder and colder as he could never seem to attain even close to the same level of connection with another person, in a romantic sense, as he had with Amity. Not even the brief stint of booze and women he went through after signing up for the army could help him, and he eventually swore off of all romantic contact with the opposite sex when he could never have the one he thought perfect for himself.

The troubles of romance only began Minoru's transformation into the person he is today. When Franz died, Minoru swore to become the best marksman in the world, and he was going to use Freya, his father's shotgun-revolver, to accomplish this feat. Minoru began to experiment with various ways to include his rudimentary training in ninjutsu with his marksmanship and eventually he managed to create a style of combat centred around the philosophy of guerilla tactics and evading movements.

Constantly driving himself to succeed, Minoru entered the Amestrian military as soon as he was of eligible age and served as a kind of reconnaissance soldier and speciality marksman for his squad, having trained to aim and fire accurately at multiple targets at once even when the targets are within his peripheral vision. During this time he began to pick up new languages in order to be a better recon soldier for his squad. Eventually his success in operations touching on the covert or otherwise focusing on the need not to be seen gained him a place amongst the commandos of the Amestrian Military. Franz's death had galvanised Minoru to do well by his fathers memory, and the fact although Amestris could be in peace there would always be countries surrounding her that looked upon her soil with jealousy and want. Joining the commando division with this knowledge at heart, Minoru slowly became more and more ruthless, becoming able to follow almost all orders with but a single encouragement harbouring the meaning "for Amestris". Whenever Minoru gets drunk he realises that he hates this person he has become and he silently wallows in self resentment. Whenever Minotu has been drunk recently he tends to take more risks than absolutely necessary.

After five years of training and service in the normal Amestrian Military, followed by four years of service in the commando squads, Minoru faced a tough decision. Recent domestic terrorism had made it an increasing requirement to have well trained troops at home territory instead of mainly behind enemy lines. In the end Minoru transferred, and he has been wrking at Security since. What ever remained of the convictions of the little boy he once was has been sucked into the big pile of sense of duty he has for Amestris.
