DESCRIPTION:
→ Lyon diTempesta is a tall man, for a Xingese. His self-discipline allows him to have an athletic body. Lyon has long blue hair, usually tied behind his head with a pony-tail, in order to prevent it from interefering with his vision, especially in combat. He wears black pants and shoes, original from Fing as well, (not sure what to call these...shinigami pants? sorry D:). On his hands and forearms, he wears protectors, all of which have multiple alchemical circles inscribed in them, to facilitate the alchemy.
Lyon also has blue eyes, and black hair. He has a cape tied behind his back, falling under his waist. Like most people from Xing, he posesses a light skin tone, and a determined look that allowed a young boy like him to get this far. The only scars he posesses are a few old wounds on his back, originated from an old training accident. When he is not wearing these regular clothes, he's probably wearing something characteristic from his homeland. His usually speaks in a calm tone, and rarely gets angry. When he does however, things tend to get...ugly. also, one last detail. Lyon diTempesta is proud of his speed, and likes to move around fast and efficiently. PERSONALITY:
→ Speed and efficiency was what he learnt in his early days living in Xing. There, Lyon mastered the control of his mind, and peace of his soul. This led to him being a calm man, who values efficiency above anything else. Unlike some other people, Lyon is more than willing to kill for the greater good, or even die for it. And by "greater good", he means the people, because that's the duty of an Alchemist, he also considers this to be his duty as well. Lyon values every living being, and the balance between life and death. At first, the fact that he could only understand, decompose and compose matter, instead of practicing alkahestry, made him a bitter man, somewhat rejected in his country. But when he departed for Amestria, his personality changed once again, and Lyon realised that the value of Life, and the Balance, were just as important in Alchemy, as they were in Alkahestry, even if his compatriots couldn't see that. After gaining a purppose in his life, his personality changed again, and he became a somewhat nicer, happier person. Heck, he even learnt how to tell and take a joke! So basically, the radical change in the environment around him (from Xing to Amestria) caused a radical change in his personality as well. He went from a calm, distant man, to a juvenile, fun and outgoing person.
Currently, Lyon diTempesta is a happy man, who refuses to tell a lie, and is completly honest with people. He isn't really a fan of blind obedience, which means he isn't really a fan of the military either. In fact, he doesn't like soldiers at all. As the proud Xingese he is, he believes that Alkahestry should be used for medicinal purpposes only, and that Alchemy should be used to benefit mankind as well, not destroy it, or be used as a weapon. His entire personality is resultant from all events that happened in his life, his likes, dislikes, what he loves and what he hates.

-Fighting- A good brawl, that involves physical activity and strength measure, and provides a test for his Alchemic abilities.

-Observing small living creatures and their way of living/working. He finds it quite entertaining to observe these small creatures and find a way to relate them to his regular alchemy.

-Hearing news about his home country, at least while he isn't able to fix his problems and find a way back into Xing.
-Dead-ends. While investigating a way to combine Alkahestry and Alchemy, Lyon has reached many, many dead ends. And has learned to hate wasting his resources on plans/fights. It's just...too frustrating for him, which is why he likes efficiency above all else. An efficient soldier can be worth 5 men.

DEEPEST SECRET:
→ That he was expelled and banned from his village in Xing. His true purppose in Amestria is to be able to research and find a way to make the people from his village realise that Alchemy also has a lot to do with Balance and respect for Life, and find a way to get back.

HISTORY:
→ Lyon's background is relatively simple indeed. He born, and raised, in a small village in the land of Xing. It didn't have a lot of technology, nor it was really developed, but that was, somehow, and advantage to him. There, connected with nature, he was able to learn the basics and even the complex parts of Alcahestry. Not that he had shown any talent for this art, oh no. The Alcahestry in his village was used for healing, and Lyon was never able to control his transmutations...he would always end up harming, instead of healing. for this reason, instead of becoming a healer, Lyon became a warrior. And he was pretty damn good at it tho. Indeed, during his life's first 19 years, spent in that village, he trained and trained, shaped his body into a perfect form, and learnt the ways of the Claw. Again, regular warriors from his village would regularly train and master the way of the Sword, or even the way of the Spear..perhaps even Archery could be an option...but not him. Once again, Lyon was pretty damn good at what he did, but didn't fit among the others. Once again, he was not completly accepted...while there were units who were sent together to fight bandits, because they all wielded swords, or spears, Lyon was always sent alone to use his Claws to assassinate his targets.
He was 17, the first time he took a life, and since then, he's had no problem spilling blood. He faces it as a...part, of a Circle. In his personality, I stated that Lyon had a lot of respect for Life. It is important however, to notice that he also has a lot of respect for Death as well- During his first kills, he realised something important, that would allow him to kill without remorse in the future. The Balance of Life and Death is ruled by a circle...everyone dies, and he is proud to be part of a creature's soul Path.
When he turned 20, he was allowed to leave his village to find a special kind of Claw. You see, the Claw style consists in using small, preferably hidden blades to kill the target in close combat.
Lyon was allowed to leave the village, and find an auto-mail expert in Amestrian, who made him a...special, set of hidden blades. Of course, there was a price to pay for it, but Lyon was very satisfied with the result. While there, he learnt about another thing that gained a tremendous importance in his life...Alchemy. Destruction. That was something he was really damn good at...By watching Military Alchemists performing their transmutations, he noticed how close this new kind of Alchemy was related to Alkahestry back at his home village. Except, Alchemy wasn't used for Medical purpposes...it could be used for destruction. Lyon used the time he spent in Amestris (about 11 months) to learn as much as he could, before returning with his new set of weapons. When he finally arrived at his village, he started using Alchemy to protect it, unaware that this kind of transmutations was frowned upon by the Xingese villagers...
Ultimately, when he was 20 years old, he...accidentally murdered a companion, because he miscalculated a transmutation circle. It got...bloody, and ended up with Lyon being banned from his home.
Without anywhere else to go, and without any main objective, except finding a way of showing his ex-comrades how Alchemy was not to be feared, but studied instead, and comprehended, the young man crossed the desert once more, to find the only Land who truly accepted him as he was...Amestris.

ALCHEMIC ABILITY:

Lyon's alchemical ability consists of transmuting two atoms in a significant amount of air: Oxygen, and Hydrogen. This transmutation allows him to create Hydroxyge, a HIGHLY flamable substance that burns at over 3000 ºC (confirmed fact). To be able to control such fierce explosions, Lyon usually manipulates a small amount of air, that is enough to create an explosion with a 5-10 meters radius. This ability, or transmutation, however you want to call it, can be obviously powered up, but it may represent a danger for Lyon, as not even him is completly safe from an uncontrolled explosion.
How is the explosion triggered? Simple, Lyon activates one of his hidden blades while clapping his hands and performing the transmutation. The blades slide against the holder and create a small spark. This spark is then guided by a small trail of Hydroxygen, all the way to the main bubble, triggering the explosion there. Lyon can only keep an Hydroxygen bubble for 5 seconds, so these need to be triggered quickly, and can not be used to create traps (unless the user finds a way to, somehow, trap the air inside a container). The bubbles can be created up to 100 meters away from the user.

REVISE

A couple of things I'll list below you'll have to revise, kindly look at them and apply appropriate changes to your application, then I will take another gander.

- If he is born in a typical Xingese village, which oddly resembles the name of Ishvallan typical villages, then how is it that his name is Cillegian without any roots of Xingese? Xingese people are Chinese based you must know. And in your history, it wasn't stated your parents made exceptions as to name you Western-style, though that still doesn't explain about your surname.

- The thing you wear which is the "Shinigami pants" is actually called a Hakama. Just on a side note, keep in mind that you may be asked to change your alchemy on your clothing, there may be variations in the near future of your alchemy application about it. Also remove this following line below.

One paragraph minimum of what your character looks like.

- So Lyon became a distant and composed man, to a juvenile fun and outgoing person in general? Changing the locations on a personality doesn't exactly change the personality itself. Changing personality tends to be a long and gradual process in general, and wouldn't be spurred instantaneously at a whim. Address that bit.

- When referring to Amestris, though this is a minor spelling bit on your end, you don't refer to it as Amestria.

- Your history seems to detail a lot about how he learnt how to do all these things and got his armaments, but is rather quite secluded and unimportant as it seems. The question for that would be, why was it he was able to learn all of that and no one else does in this location? Address those points in your history.

- Explosions always tend to be volatile and complicated to control quite effectively. You can't be able to remote control alchemy farther away from you in that manner, so unfortunately the problem is that you'd be caught in the explosion as well with the bubble deal since that's too far a distance. Not sort of the thing many people fancy. Especially made so by the fact 100 meters is quite the distance already, too far away as well and quite the range for a level 1 ability. Do kindly address those points, and revamp if possible.

- You may want to fix your trivia, color code your speeches for what language you speak. If you speak Amestrian, as an example, it'd be yellow, and if you were speaking Xingese, you can put green. Address those points.

- Your last few paragraph need a tad bit of cleaning, like face-claims, don't leave that empty if you have one, or if you don't, then delete face-claims.

Check those points out, and plan accordingly. When you're ready for another evaluation, bump the thread. If you have difficulty for a standard, check out other average applications to get an idea to help you out.
